As a preface, I'm not one to write yelp reviews. However, since I was not previously aware that companies like this existed, I felt that it would be a disservice to not speak about my experience. Earlier this year, my home was flooded due to an activated fire sprinkler. After the fire department removed the standing water, I was overwhelmed at which steps to take next. Serendipitously, Isaac, an Emergency Response Manager from ER Restoration, arrived. After an introduction, he assessed the damage, explained what remediation work would be required, and then thoroughly educated me on what options were available. His empathy in my time of distress combined with his depth of knowledge is what ultimately helped me feel comfortable moving forward with ER Restoration. In the following days, company Director, Jacob, contacted me and walked me through what to expect over the next few weeks. Jacob patiently addressed all of my concerns and assured me that ER Restoration would hold my hand throughout the entire process and that I would not need to be concerned about any of the logistics. He immediately contacted my insurance agent to provide me with temporary housing. Jacob was very thorough in securing my restoration budget and has delivered on restoring my home. Thank you Isaac for showing up on the day of the flooding. I would have literally not known what to do had you not arrived. Thank you Jacob for your diligence and attention to detail. Lastly, thank you to the entire ER Restoration team for your professionalism, long hours of work, and for showing up with the biggest smiles every day. These guys are a joke. Please do your research. Jacob is under investigation for frauding flood victims during the San Jose floods in 2017. He has a guy named Isaac working for him that reeked of alcohol when he met with me at my property. The guy was also drunk when I spoke with him a couple times when I was asking about photos that were supposed to be sent to my insurance agent. Unprofessional demeanor. Save yourself the time and stress and do not use this company. I've already file a complaint with the BBB and the city to look into this company. read more

We had a major plumbing disaster happen in our home. The whole downstairs was affected. Our plumber, David at RIBBS came out immediately and started the process of cleanup. He suggested ER Restoration for the mitigation and repair of our home. It was quite an undertaking. Jacob the contractor for ER Restoration put us at ease. He worked with our Insurance company and had all the different companies for flooring, painting, electrical, drywall granite and cabinetry ready to go. This review is past overdue! This September I discovered a leak in my garage and thought it was from our washer. Turns out it was a leak to our sewer clean out. The plumber recommended ER Restoration to investigate. Jacob came out and did a complete inspection under the house and found that in addition to the sewer leak, our AC condenser was leaking and we had even more standing water under the house. Yuck!! He gave us a quote for drying out the soil, adding absorbent & clean up. We had another company come out and their inspection didn't even discover the condenser leak. We went with ER and they did a fantastic job, they were on time, reliable and thorough. I highly recommend them! read more

We came back from a ten day vacation last year and discovered water damage in our home. ER Restoration was recommended to us by our plumber and Jacob from ER was able to come to our house to take a first look just a few hours after the initial call. We were then connected with Eli who proved himself to be a fantastic project manager, helping us deal with insurance, etc. Insurance ended up not covering our claim (through no fault of ER, but apparently the root cause of the damage did not meet their specification, but when asked what the specifications were, the insurance company was vague as expected...). But anyway, since the mitigation was going to come out of pocket, we decided to not just do the bare minimum work required, and decided to remodel the whole bathroom, putting their general contractor expertise to the test. In the end, ER was able to remodel the whole bathroom, and replace the kitchen floor, and some of our hardwood floor. Stay away!!! These guys hustled us big time!! They did unnecessary protocol involving equipment rentals in order to run up the bill when they knew it would be an insurance claim. Then they ignored calls, missed deadlines, no call no show more than once. Jacob lied about communicating with our insurance adjuster. They failed to submit documentation and photos to adjuster before deadline which went on for weeks. I could go on, every step was dragged out and obviously a scam to eat up as much claim money as possible. Some random person called us on Jacob's behalf and was asking questions about how much our max is on our insurance coverage. And another woman, very unprofessional called and she gave us the run around when Jacob was not calling us back or showing up when he said he would. And he would give an attitude when held accountable. Their integrity is trash and these positive reviews are clearly fake. No way would someone rate them well! read more

Jacob and the entire crew at ER came and prepared our crawl space for plumbing repairs, following a sewer line break. They removed 50 gallons of contaminated water and bags and bags of like soil in the impacted area and dried the entire crawl space so the plumber could come in and fix the faulty ABS pipes. Rodents had chewed through drywall and made nests under and behind our kitchen cabinets. They chewed through the dishwasher power cord too, which is how we realized they had created such a disgusting mess. ER Restoration cleaned up the urine/poop and nasty insulation nests, patched the drywall and put barriers to prevent the rodents from getting back in. What a relief to have a clean fresh space to install the new dishwasher. I couldn't be happier with their work and the tenant living in the house is happy too! Great work by Jacob and his team. The worst customer service I've ever had. I had to call them twice just to get them to my house to get an estimate. When Jon came to our house he took pictures of the damage and took notes. He gave me his business card and personal number and told me to call if I had any questions. Jon said he would have the estimate done by the end of the day or early next morning. I never received the estimate, even after the next business day. I called Jon and left a message. He never called back. I called their office and spoke with Jacob (who said he was Jon's boss). Jacob said he would have the estimate done by the end of the day. I didn't receive an estimate that day, and I called back the next day. Jacob said he was busy with paperwork (he didn't even apologize) and would have it done by the end of the day. Here we go again! The day went by and still no estimate. I am here on day 4 and still no estimate. Remember, they are the ones that set the time frame for having the estimate done. Not me! Both times I talked to Jacob, he seemed irritated and made excuses just to get me off the phone. And the only question I asked was, "Do you have an update on the estimate?" I can't foresee myself hiring a contractor who failed to meet their estimate deadline, not once, not twice, but three times!!! My experience with them was a complete waste of time. I never thought I'd run into and irresponsible and unprofessional contractor with a 5 star rating. What a joke. read more

Professional, courteous and efficient. My water heater leaked down to my downstairs neighbor's unit. They installed their equipment quickly to get everything dried out, and replaced the drywall to its original state. The neighbors were happy with the work. I had a broken pipe behind the sheetrock. I called a plumber and he fixed the problem. They recommended Jacob from er restoration. I'm so glad I did. He came out those same day , set up his machinery and taped off the kitchen with plastic. He worked with the insurance so it was very stress free. Once he got the place dried up he removed what he had to and had the insurance come out again so they can see the damage. He is also a contractor so I didn't have to go looking for a contractor. He did a wonderful job on replacing what needed to be replaced. Hopefully I never have to use him again for restoration but if I ever needed a restoration company I'd call him in a heartbeat. Very professional company. Elias and his team came out the first day. They inspected damage from a leak we had in our ceiling. They ended up removing the damage and treating the area the same day. Elias kept me informed, and made sure I was aware of all the damage they found from the leak. A few days later Jacob came by to remove the fans, also a great experience working with him. This company does great work and all the employees were very respectful to us and our home. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. read more

Alex Trujillo came highly recommended by my plumber to fix a leaking tub faucet and do an unusual tiling job on the tub for me, and he absolutely lived up to that recommendation! He was able to put an opening into the side of my marble-encased tub so that one could access and change the faucets, but the opening is invisible! Every other contractor I spoke with could only put in an ugly door, and they charged as much or more than Alex did to put in this beautifully invisible opening! Then, later, when I needed to change the tub faucet completely, he was able to come back and do that also, and again did a fantastic job. Being a general contractor, he seems to know a lot about other aspects of construction besides plumbing and tiling, so I'm really glad that I now have someone reliable to call on when I finally decide to renovate my house. read more

I called ER Restoration for a water leakage problem in the master bathroom of my house. Jacob and his co-worker showed up in less than one hour. They diagnosed the problem and assessed the damage and told me I could do the clean up and restoration myself as the water damage is pretty small. They also gave me very good advice on how to do the cleanup. They did all these without charging me a single penny. They are courteous, honest and professional. I highly recommend them. read more

I came home to a hole in my dining room ceiling and water all over my the first floor. It was 9pm, and I didn't know who I was supposed to call besides possibly a plumber! We figured out that the water heater busts in the bathroom directly above the dining room. my family and I were left with the difficult task of cleaning and keeping our belongings from further water damage. I called ER restoration because they were open 24/7 and less than 5 miles away. I had no idea what to expect but to my surprise, Jacob inspected, came up with a game plan that made out lives easy. These guys know what there doing, and were very easy to work with. Alex arrived the next day and we discussed all the options. Alex has a contractors license and is very knowledgeable about all aspects of construction. So there were 3 ways to go and we choose the least expensive; Alex made it clear as to what to expect and was very help full and easy to work with. That day all machines were set up for the drying and plastic was installed to isolate the problem areas. As soon as the place dried out he and his crew showed up and removed all the wet sheet rock and insulation and did a great job of containing the mess and not tracking it throughout the house. I did the repair; and I really appreciated how they managed the demolition and made it easy for me to repair. They also managed the insurance company and there adjuster. Excellent work, I would go through them again. At my recording studio a fire sprinkler burst and flooded out the building. I called emergency response to come remove the water and they were there within one hour with a full crew that got it done and set up drying equipment and drying chambers in the middle of the night and was able to Bill my insurance for everything. My insurance was very familiar with them so that made everything easier. More than happy that I called ER Restoration to do the work. Suffered a kitchen leak, got NO call back/response ever from two other water mitigation companies my insurance referred me to, so I found and called ER and they were out to stop the damage within 45 minutes (on a Friday afternoon to boot!).
