I went there both as customer to order to eat and as doordash driver for pick up. Mann, the woman and man (couple) own the store was very rude, arrogant, and mean i was doordash driver, but they were nice when i was customer. 2 completely faces when it comes to who comes to their place. They were never nice or polite everytime i go there to pick up. I deliver every food places in this area, and i know 1000% who is polite or rude and treat people differently. And i not even picky person at all, i have been dashing for many years.!!! And im always friendly. If u think ( not saying hi, yelling at me "what is the name of customers name, in angry mad way like im ur child or worse and once food is ready throwing food at me) is your normal standard procedure, u r in wrong business. Just a quick update- haven't been to Erik's in San Ramon since I got laid off during the pandemic (it was conveniently located around the corner from my job). The Raging Bull -- a warm roast beef sandwich sounded great on a very cloudy and wet day. When everything on it included sprouts and tomato, I declined...that just doesn't work in my book with warm, especially roast beef, sandwich. Well, it was puny. Tasty, but a bore. The bread was on a small onion roll, and just didn't work for it. [$9.79, 2.0 stars]. My favorite sandwich is the Natural High - I don't know, maybe it's the combination of sprouts and avocado that always win me over. On a splurge day, I like the Square Meal (i.e., soup/sandwich or salad combo). It's easy to order online and pick up. Or you can order in person for take out. One star lost because we've received sandwiches made wrong from order several times. It's frustrating to realize when you get back to work on your lunch break that you had a meat sandwich made when you ordered vegetarian. You just have to go hungry then stop by after work to get it corrected. Once we ordered sandwiches then got on muni to the B52s concert and all four sandwiches were made wrong. I came to Erik's deli in San Ramon after an outpatient surgery to get some sandwiches for my family. The guy that took my order was snippy and rude. It was a total of 6 sandwiches. Once we completed our order he asked if that was it, I said yes and he said it would take 20 minutes. I said sure we are just outside and he hung up on me. Soooo rude and mind you, the shop is currently empty with one patron eating outside. I have loved this sandwich shop and have frequented it for years, but I'll think twice about coming back. Our family has been patronizing Erik's Deli for over 20 years! We have patronized both the Dublin and the San Ramon locations since we moved to the Bay Area 21 years ago. They have a decent selection of lunch time meals, and even a few veggie selections. They generally are not overly healthy sandwiches, but a pretty good set of options, including a few salad and soup options. The food and service has generally been very good. Today was no exception. I ordered the half sandwich condo, with a classic reuben sandwich, and a bowl of chicken rice soup. I thought the reuben sandwich was outstanding, and the soup pretty good. I see they are now tempting the customers with a new dessert called creme brulee cheesecake. I am staying far away from this item! With a soda, the total for my half sandwich combination meal was about $12. I thought this was a very good value. No, it's not super cheap, but this is the San Francisco Bay Area. If you want cheap, go to KFC. The dining room is quite roomy. The theme is old-fashioned local history. It's a lot of fun to look at the photos of San Ramon Valley on the walls. There are also some tables for eating outside on warm days. The young lady taking my order today was very pleasant and professional. My hoarder took only about 2 minutes. Over the years, they have constantly changed their loyalty card program. For a while it was so ridiculous I just threw away all my cards. I think they are better now. Wow, wow, wow! That's all that comes to mind after my first experience at an Eriks. We came in on a late Saturday afternoon and the employees behind the counter were so kind to allow us to take a few minutes to look at the menu to decide. I got a half chicken pesto sandwich on Dutch crunch bread and the chicken Gorgonzola salad. My husband got a clam chowder bread bowl. The bread bowl was warm and yummy! The dressing used for my salad was absolutely delicious. I honestly think I'll become a regular of this place since we live down the street! read more

I was actually excited for tax time this year because after my scheduled appointment time, I knew I'd get to stop by Erik's on my way out of town. That's the kind of lasting impression Erick's DeliCafe' has left on me. If that's not a strong recommendation, I don't know what is. All the sandwiches are familiar enough yet have just a bit of a creative spin on them so you don't feel like you're having the same ol', same 'ol turkey for the millionth time. The bread is always super soft and fresh. Also, they have a surprising selection of desserts and soups as well. Heard tell they're good from family members, but I'm strictly a sandwich girl. The environment has been freshened up sometime in the recent past, thank goodness. It's now reasonably pleasant with its modern references to San Ramon's historic past.
