First time trying this place, writing as I'm waiting for my food. I ordered at 130pm it's 210 and all I have is a coffee. The people next to us left 5-10 minutes after I got here, I looked at their table all they had was unused utensils so looks like they forgot all about them. That should've been my hint to just leave. Will update once I actually get my food. If you give this place a try bring a light sweater is cold af. UPDATE: Got food at 220pm so almost an hour wait. The meat was tender, well seasoned, the potatoes were a perfect addition. The chilaquiles had a great flavor, they were crispy, and the food was not oily. We also ordered concha French toast, kid's tacos, burrito, birria ramen and birria tacos. The ramen was the winner. Well developed flavors. Nuances in every bite. Full bowl. Concha French toast is perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth. Berries add pops of freshness. Carne asada burrito was hefty. Salsa verde was a nice and mild accompaniment. I went here on a random boring Monday late morning with my wife to fulfill our Chilaquiles addiction. We've been to over 30 restaurants now in the valley that serve this delicious dish and I would have to say that this is easily top 3 in the valley hands down. I had seen this restaurant posted a couple of times on social media, but hadn't had the chance to make the trip. I'm so very glad I did because both the food and service were amazing. We waited a few minutes for a table (to be expected on the weekends), but once we were seated our server provided wonderful service. Sophia was friendly and attentive. The food took a little while to come out; however, that is to be expected on a weekend when every table in the restaurant is occupied. We enjoyed the Hurache with carne asada as well as the popular concha french toast. I highly recommend the cafe de olla as well. First time visiting this place after seeing all the hype on Instagram. Before making the drive we checked out the website which only has the option to order in assuming for pick up. We walked in, and all tables except one were taken, the empty table was dirty we walked to the counter and we were asked if we have a reservation, their website doesn't indicate you need one. The waitress said without a reservation the wait was 25-30 minutes. Mind you, there is no where to sit and wait, it's super hot and tiny inside and of course 115 outside so we decided to leave. No option for a waitlist online either, this is sadly another establishment that but off more than it can chew. They probably have great food but we'll never know. I am a huge chilaquiles fan! I love trying new places. The first time I had them they blew my mind! They were colorful full of flavor. Rightly seasoned with a good amount of spice. The portion was very decent as well. The second time I order to go and the chilaquiles were much much spicy, so much spicy I could not taste anything else on the plate. The 3rd time I decided to eat at the restaurant and service was bad. There were only 3 tables in use and they took a very long time to bring a simple coffee and water. When I got the food the portion was great but the food was extra bland. The prices are high. Almost $20 dollars for a plate of chilaquiles. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but the restaurant is really dirty (if the lobby is dirty I can't imagine what the kitchen must look like..) and the condiments look scary to use due to the buildup that is left on the bottles. I drank a coffee and pulled out a (pretty large) piece of cloth that was stuck to an ice cube. I wanted to throw up. My boyfriend even found what looked like mustache hairs in his food. We waited for 50 minutes to be seated patiently outside. We checked in on our status and got sat right away. The host was very flustered. We sat at our table and waited 25 minutes with no service. No acknowledgment we were even at the table. The last straw was when the table next to us got service after being seated 2 minutes. The servers were running around and seemed flustered as well. The servers were un organized and this experience was truly a disaster. In a small business you must take care of the people and they definitely did not. I do not think we will be coming back.
