Lamb, beef tips, veggie combo and injera

Ethio from the outside does not "catch the eye", but once you enter you are caught up in the decor, the culture, and the food. Joseph and Tabi's warm welcome and their pride in their work ethic and the Ethiopian food they prepare is evident. For an inexperienced "hand diner", they offer an explanation and a tutorial if you'd like one. The food: from scratch, fresh, seasoned to your liking and beautifully presented filled us up (4 ladies-2 protein dishes, 1 vegetable combo and injera) and the generous cup of ginger tea gave us warmth from our lips to our tummy and kept us awake for the drive back to SD-not caffeine, the pee pee stops. We all highly recommend Ethio and hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

From the first sip, the Ginger, Cinnamon & Wild Thyme tea soothed my heart and soul. Even better it lowered my blood pressure. After being poured a glass of water, the bottle of water was left on the table. A gesture most appreciated given this writer often drinks a gallon of water per day. A party of twenty was in the next room. The volume was deafening. Would not recommend coming in when there is a big party or when one is in a rush. Put on my patience hat. Fortunately a booth table was available. Ordered the vegetarian combo. It was worth the 45 minute wait. The ?chef ?owner rewarded my patience. She said she usually does not do this but knew I waited a long time. She asked if I liked and wanted more of the Shiro Wat (Chickpea Stew)? By all means yes! She brought out an extra helping. It was very savory & delicious. My taste buds were more than satiated with this nutrient dense meal. It provided a great variety of vegan proteins with good sized portions. The potatoes/carrot chunks, were tender, lightly reminiscent of mild yellow curry. The chopped collard greens, were a nice bright dark green. Sure to contain lots of vitamins. The lentils were medium spicy hot. The salad was my least favorite. Simply because tomatoes are something I dislike. The injera being gluten free was of the highest quality. Ate every bit of this veg combo. Will be back, when time permits.

The food was delicious! We shared the vegetarian combo and ordered an extra side of lentils and injera. The service was great the owner was very nice and came out and talked to us. I would definitely come back here. Pay attention to the parking signs in front of the restaurant.

Food is THE BEST! DELICIOUS & SUPER HEALTHY!! The owner Tabi is also an impeccable chef who truly cares about ensuring the food is both tasty and healthy! I've NEVER cleaned the plate like I do here! The service is also great! So wonderful to walk into a space where amazing food is being made by the happiest, nicest, most talented chef who puts all that love and personality in her food and in her service!! A+++

What an incredible spot with incredible Ethiopian food. Tiba and her team were so sweet. The vegetarian combo was incredible. There are endless options for vegan and gluten free people. I will absolutely be back.

Wonderful and intimate Ethiopian restaurant in Los Angeles. Tabi was so welcoming and sweet. The food is made fresh to order and homemade recipes. Delicious Ethiopian food with all the best savory spices and flavors. The injera is made fresh here daily. We ordered the meat combo platter which came with a big portion of beef and chicken enough for two people. Tabi was so kind to us, she allowed us to bring our small Frenchie dog inside and gave us complimentary tea after the meal. Highly recommend this restaurant and hope to come back again someday! They also serve Italian food but we didn't get to try it.

Thank you Yelp for helping me discover this little gem! Wasn't sure what to expect because the combo of Ethiopian and Italian seemed odd, but it was also appealing because sometimes my daughter really wants pasta and I just don't. We just ordered Ethiopian (meat and veggie combos) on this go-round, however, and kiddo enjoyed it though she found it a bit spicy. I didn't think it was very spicy, however. Flavors were fabulous though I thought they could have been even more pronounced. The stews were my favorite by far. My husband couldn't stop raving about the salads. Delighted to have good Ethiopian food on the Westside

We got the meat combo and it was perfect for two people (we also had leftovers). The service was so friendly; the chef even came out to say hello and thank you! I'll definitely be back to order the veggie combo and try the pizza and coffee.

Fantastic food! Really enjoyed the meal here. The Ethiopian honey wine was some of the best wine I've ever had too. Highly recommend!

First time eating Ethiopian cuisine and it's delicious and healthy. This restaurant, the food and the owners are amazing! It's in the prior Louisa's space (some of the prior staff may still work there) but the interior is completely updated. We had beef tibs and bbq pizza (the pizza is delicious). My son wanted Italian. The servings are large. Injera is the most unique utensil/food I've tasted. It's like a sourdough crepe and used to eat the meal. The owners showed us a video how they make it and it's a complicated intense preparation process. Same with multi step and lengthy process to prepare the meals. Many hours of love go into the meal preparation. We also had a mini Ethiopian coffee service. We were shown the raw green beans, then after they were roasted. Finally the coffee was presented in a clay brewing pitcher and poured in a special way so the coffee sludge is kept from the cup. I can't say enough how sweet and sharing the owners are. Truly the salt of the earth people. Ethio is still in its opening period, I'll return many times. One day I want to try the formal traditional Ethiopian coffee service.

My peach oolong matcha latte (with regular sweetness and ice) was very good without being too sweet or mild. The peach, oolong, and matcha flavors all came through despite being an iced latte. I see why the line was almost out the door on a Saturday afternoon! I think they only have one register, so the line moved a bit slowly, but it was worth it. Customer service wasn't stellar but they weren't rude, and they obviously had a full house of orders to take and drinks to make. Love that they had physical menus available at the beginning of the line so you can decide what you want ahead of time to make the ordering process smoother. I can't speak much to the atmosphere because we were really in and out once we got our drinks (the line wasn't just long, all the tables were packed!), but as the name suggests, it's a lovely modern tea house with a significant amount of seating inside and outside.

It does have some caffeine, so keep that in mind if you're planning to enjoy it later in the evening. Grab this drink and stroll around the mall, it is so refreshing, and you'll enjoy it on a hot summer day. Lines do tend to get busy, so I recommend placing an order on the mobile app. It may take 10-20 minutes for your order to be ready (on a busy day), but at least you can walk around the mall until your drinks are ready. There's tables and chairs inside and outside the location if you prefer to sit down to enjoy your beverage.

It was a hot day, and so we asked for ice water with our order. You would have thought we were ASKING FOR GOLD, the way the employees got so huffy and rude!!! After confirming we were Paying Customers, they proceeded to talk under their breath about how they were going to switch to bottled water so "people couldn't get free water" anymore, suuuuuper cool to hear! Lo and behold, Chamberlain Coffee was the first thing I saw when I went upstairs. I normally see Chamberlain coffee beans at places like Sprouts and Whole Foods so it's cool to see that there are actually coffee shops! (And yes, I am late to the game because I just found out five minutes ago that an influencer/business woman/podcaster/model is who owns this business and franchise.) Chamberlain Coffee is a stand-alone tiny shop/kiosk that is modern and sleek and only big enough for a few people to stand inside to order. There are no seating inside but tons located outside since the food court is close by. I am probably the worse at giving you a full review because I looked up and IMMEDIATELY zoned in on the banana latte. I am in my banana latte era! Ordered it from one of the three workers and got my well-crafted drink in less than 7 minutes. My banana latte made with whole milk was DELICIOUS! It is sweet but not synthetically sweet. I can taste the banana syrup, tasting homemade, and the coffee is strong enough shine through. It is not diluted with milk or masked with sugar. This is a well made coffee. The large, with tax, is going to cost $10. This drink edged up to be one of the best banana latte I have had as of yet so $10 for the large is worth it.
