Had a lovely experience at Etta this afternoon for lunch. Between us, we had the cacio e pepe, foccacia, margherita pizza, and creste di gallo. All four dishes were amazing. The creste di gallo was very rich, but very good. The foccacia was light and crisp, with a lovely whipped spread to go along with it. We had a fabulous time, and "V", our waitress, was very attentive but gave us time and space to enjoy our food and conversation. She even remembered that I mentioned my birthday, and brought a sundae and candle to the table. read more

My friend and I shared the Focaccia bread which is divine. It was crusty,buttery and so light. I can have this bread with a glass of wine and call it a day. It was that good. Ordered a Classic Caesar salad with salmon. I was rather disappointed with the size of the salmon considering this salad costs $26.00. The salmon was half the size of a normal serving size. They ran out of salmon so my friend ordered the salad with a chicken. I noticed that they cute the chicken breast thinner ( ie, it was not the normal thickness of a chicken breast). I believe they made one chicken breast into two (or three) by slicing it thin. Portion size was disappointing. Cannot complain about the service though. Our server was there when we need him ready to provide us anything.....water, wine, food, etc. The patio for outside sitting was awesome. The tables were distanced enough and the decor was lovely. All in all, it was a nice place, good food, excellent service with serving size that's needs to be improved. read more

After hearing so much buzz about the long awaited Etta, we finally came last night! What an experience! The food was phenomenal as well as the vibe and service. The focaccia + ricotta dip was amazing - would also recommend the brussels sprouts, bolognese, chicken and the branzino. Dessert was also NEXT LEVEL. The cannoli sandwich and olive oil cake - WOW. Where do I even begin? The service, the food, the atmosphere and the people are just amazing. Every time I go into etta, it is phenomenal! It is one of my favorite restaurants! The last two times I have come in, I have been so lucky to have had V as my server. She is so personable, friendly, sweet and went truly above and beyond on both occasions I was in. She made my mom's birthday unforgettable, and made her feel so loved. V helped make my mom's birthday amazing with all of her sweet and kind gestures. My mom is still raving about how amazing her experience was. Then, I went in with friends later in the week and wow she did it again! V is just outstanding and truly embodies what it means to be so warm, happy, outgoing and welcoming! She made all of us feel so loved and special, so thank you so much V! I decided that etta was my new favorite place before the entree even came out. I went for my boyfriends and I anniversary and it was a very smooth joyful experience. It is a beautiful spot and the ambiance is so cute. Our server Dylan was amazing, he had great recommendations and amazing service. The first thing he recommended was the focaccia bread and i think it was the best thing I've ever had in my whole life, both my boyfriend and I were in awh over this dish! After the bread, he brought out the celebration shots which is so fun and cute for guest who are there for special occasions. As for the pasta I got the vodka pasta with the Brussels which was so so good and my bf seemed to really enjoy his dip sandwich. After we were done eating our server brought out 2 complimentary glasses of sparkling wine which was so sweet and unexpected. Moral of the story everything we had was excellent, I'm telling everyone I know about this place, and I want to go back to try everything on the menu! read more

Etta is by far one of my FAVORITE restaurants in Scottsdale. The moment I walked in I was amazed by how everyone made me feel! The staff were all so very welcoming and had such a positive attitude that I won't ever forget!! Opening night, Kasey was our server and she did such a phenomenal job at explaining the entire menu-- we had the bubbling shrimp to start off with & ordered another one because it was that good!!! Everything on the menu was very delightful, the chocolate cake with homemade peanut butter ice cream was to die for... Not going to lie...I ordered another scoop because I couldn't resist. I went back the next day & Charlie, the bartender was extremely great and personable. I wish I could remember everyone's names but overall I had the best time of my life and the food had be coming back 5 days straight in a row!! You alll are wonderful-- thank YOU!!! read more

Beautiful space. Hate the sharing menu concept. Went there tonight with my husband who does not eat seafood, and I love seafood. So I ended up with a $44 Branzzino fish, Which was delicious, but that's all I was served I had no side dishes. My husband had pasta. Get rid of that sharing menu & we'll be back. read more

My boyfriend and I had been wanting to try this new place we had seen and heard about. We decided to go for lunch on a Monday. We got there at 12:45. We were told it was a hour and half wait. When I looked at the restaurant it didn't look that busy. Many tables were open. They had the back part of the restaurant closed and only a small portion of the front was available. We decided to wait and they said they would text us when our table was ready. A hour and half later we walked back asking if our table was ready. She looked and said yes let me make sure the table is ready. They walked us over at this time half of the restaurant was empty. The waiter came over asking if we wanted a appetizer or drinks. We then ordered a informed us they were a free flowing kitchen. He said so we don't use heat lamps so the food will come out as it's ready. Found this strange that he told us this. Tried Etta for lunch yesterday. Food was good, but getting seated -- a nightmare. The YOUNG staff might need to understand the art of where to seat folks, so that their dining is enjoyable. We walked in, having seen at least 8 empty tables on the patio and requested one of them. We were told they were all reserved (which no one ever sat at them during our entire lunch, that aside)....so she showed us to a table next to 5 very loud women, we knew instantly that the 2 of us would never be able to hear each other, we said no. We had to go back to front desk, get a ticket changed and now, she showed us the table next to the waiter's station, again a noisy distraction and we said no. Two tables away was an open high top [next to another very loud party] but given our choices, and our hunger, we requested to sit there. We were granted permission, but clearly not what the young lady wanted to do. Food was good, if we ever go back. Makes me wonder if their high-end sister estaurant, Maple and Ash, treats its customers with any more consideration for providing an enjoyable dining "experience". read more

We tried Etta this past Friday night, 4 adults enjoying a kid-free evening. The hostesses were very nice, our server was very nice but i don't know who she was because she specifically said she doesn't introduce herself with her name. I have to comment about the food. We started with the focaccia and ricotta pillows. Both were very good. We ordered the wagyu steak and the lobster picnic. The steak was good, but I've had better at other valley steakhouses, $45 (it melts in your mouth at Steak 44, here not so much). Ok the price was fine for the type of beef but it wasn't something I'd run back for. But I have to comment on the lobster picnic. They charged $150 for this plate of food. $150! It was barely a full plate of lobster and shrimp. There's no way it was whole lobster or they got the smallest crustacean possible. There were about 8 shrimp at the bottom of the plate and 1 or 2 crab legs. It comes with a tower of pita and lettuce and other forgettable accoutrements and they only brought 2 pita for the table. I'm sorry, did we just spend $150 for 4 of us on this one dish and we got 2 pita?? We even asked for 2 more pita and they never came! This was by and far the BIGGEST rip off I've ever had. And I've had all the seafood towers at Ocean Club, Flemings, and other expensive establishments. It's 3 days later and I'm still brewing about the $150 we spent on this dish. For the money we spent, we should have gone to Ocean 44 or Buck and Rider. They list this meal as a 'for the table' picnic, which is a joke - the amount they charge vs what is on the plate is not worth it. read more

overall experience was very good. we had to wait a little bit even with a reservation but it was a Friday night. our waitress was so amazing and made the experience great, the food was also great. the music playing was definitely questionable and it was very loud. this seems like a little bit of a fine dining experience and the music did not match. First let me start by saying the restaurant is beautiful! We walked in at 445 pm to find the entire bar area full but every table surrounding the bar including high tops said reserved. Apparently they do not seat till 5 so only happy hour is at bar! I ordered a etta margarita paid and realized once at table she charged me 21$ for a house drink. Dining room menu says 16$. Well no one could get to bottom of it so they gave me a card to come back for a pitcher. My fault for not asking how much it was. We were finally seated in dining room ordered a pizza which was good. Ordered a beet salad no salad pale beets ,sent back uneditable! Ordered a kale salad really no taste so took to go. Ordered a pizza and pasta to go . Pizza was raw and pasta was the size a child would get. While there noticed many mgrs on floor partying with guests. Pouring margaritas from a spout into there mouths and then his. Not something I think should be happening just my opinion. For the price and size and quality I won't be going back anytime soon. Lots of help menu is strange for me and don't think of trying to substitute something they do not. read more

Love what they did with the decor ... or at least what we could see of it. My husband made reservations for lunch with friends a few weeks ago and we were seated in the first booth as you enter the bar area. The dining room didn't seem to be very crowded, so why weren't given a table there is a mystery. I'm guessing we aren't the demographic they're after. There was a constant stream of influencer types taking selfies. But I digress. Food was good, but not spectacular. Menu is limited. We felt it was a tad overpriced relative to portion size. I had the branzino. It was half of a branzino served with a very, very tiny portion of salad. It was more of a garnish than a side ... so you're just getting a piece of fish. Lure Fish House is a much better value. The wild mushroom pizza was tasty, but nothing you can't get at a number of other places in town. My husband had the french dip... also good, but felt the portions was a bit light. Service was good, but it seemed like our waitress was stretched a little thin. We had to flag her down a couple of times. As others have mentioned, there's that "silent" surcharge for on your bill for employee benefits. You are not informed of it. It is up to you to notice it on the bill. Etta is owned by "What If Syndicate" hospitality group which also owns the upscale Maple & Ash steakhouses among other restaurants around the country. We are from Chicago so are familiar with them. This is no small company and they should be able to provide their employees with proper benefits without "sneakily" getting their customers to do it. We asked them to remove the charge, which they did. But, it is awkward and we shouldn't be put in that position. During COVID shutdowns, we didn't mind giving a little extra, but that's done now. read more

My family and I love Etta and decided to try the Scottsdale location for my boyfriends birthday. Everything we ordered was delicious like the bubbling shrimp and octopus. The little gem salad was nice and refreshing as well as the ricotta pillows. The fire pie was also very yummy with plenty of the ground sausage. The branzino and wagyu were cooked perfectly and they were nice to end the meal on. I was not a huge Dane of the oxtail pasta however my boyfriend and step dads liked it a lot. We also tried the bolognese which I preferred. We finished with three desserts. Definitely recommend the cannoli ice cream sandwich and the chocolate cake. A little disappointed that they didn't have the strawberry ice cream like in the CA location but everything was still quite satisfying. Bradley was our server for the night and he was spectacular He was very knowledgeable about the restaurant and the menu and gave us recommendations for some of our favorites dishes. This place is Incredible. I loved everything about it so much, i'm writing my first review on it!! The vibe and energy of the place was immaculate!!! make sure you sit inside so you can get a look at the beautiful atmosphere! Not to mention the FOOD!!! this is a place to go and get one of everything on the menu and share! Me and my boyfriend went and we got the Foccacia, Bubbling shrimp, Carpaccio, All amatriciana, pepperoni pizza, and the Steak!!! we only had half the pizza, and half the pasta left over (but we are big eaters too). the foccacia was unlike any bread i've ever had. the perfect amount of fluffy and crispy! the carpaccio was divine!!! I would've never thought the flavor of steak and cucumber was so good but they make it work well!! the shrimp was also delicious! The pizza, according to my boyfriend, was the best he's ever had! The pasta was the best I've ever had, and the steak was marvelous! we also got 2 cocktails, the risky business, and the drunken botanist! very very good!!! and DONT SKIP DESSERT!!!!!! the olive oil cake was incredible!!!!
