I took my 2014 Range Rover sport HSE. I couldn't figure out the problem after Installed the air suspension compressor my truck wouldn't go up like it should . I took it to three different mechanics and no one new what the Issue was every mechanic had there own opinion I just kept waisting money on parts WHICH I DID NOT NEED and kept paying for inspections. We have been using Exclusively Imports for many years. And if you are stalking, yes we live in Riverside. Every time we need work on our Acura, BMW, or Honda, we either drive it, drag it, or tow it to Sergio. Every time, it comes back to us in pristine shape and have never had to send it back or complain about anything. I have read some of the other reviews. Especially one long-winded, negative one. Sometimes "stuff" happens, but for all other experiences, my family as well most other customers, this is the best place to take your import. Here is the bottom line. These guys are a joke. I will give them 1 star for effort. I took my 2008 Ford E-150 in for suspension/rattling noise. $900 later and my van still drives all junky, long story short I had parts replaced that were not the issue. I finally took it to Ken Grody Ford and they figured out the issue, but I did not proceed with the repair since I decided to upgrade to a new van. They also lost my keys when I went in to pickup my vehicle. You know there's these things called key tags, available at Home Depot, Walmart, Target, Amazon, just to name a few. I filed a complaint and it's sad these guys get away with doing Mickey Mouse and/or unnecessary repairs. Just look at their shop and their building. I never got an apology or a credit for any of the work. They just gave me the run around. Long story short, take your vehicle elsewhere. And for the owner or manager. Please don't leave a comment trying to explain what you guys did what necessary. There are repairs that are required and other that are recommended. I'm just saying, this is not my first rodeo. All I have to say is goodbye. I hope other potential clients think twice before trusting you guys with their hard earned $. No customer service whatsoever. read more

I write this review as an owner of 3 cars. 97' ford Expo raised, 09' Jaguar XF, and a 2007 Chevrolet HHR. All 3 cars need major repairs such as under north and under the hood ranging from minor to extreme. I have been away 7 months for work and was finally able to afford to maintenance all three. Finding a reliable ace for the jaguar was hard, the truck always did ourselves and HHR pretty standard but we need a place to service all three. This is the place! Exclusively Imports is amazing. It's really hard to find excellent mechanics and Sergio and Jolene and their staff are simply amazing. Here's the deal: if it's a simple repair, it's a simple repair and you won't be price gouged. Sergio is more than fair in setting prices. If more extensive work needs to be done and it ends up being expensive (as car repairs often do) then a Sergio will explain everything to you, make sure the car is safe and running smoothly and recommend what he thinks should be done. Our family has been taking our vehicles (Volvo, Lexus, Chevy) to him for...like 30 years now? Let me give you the best example of how this place works. My mom travels back and forth to Vegas regularly. He had a light to install for her from her last visit. I said I would pick it up and have my Dad put it in for her because it would be easier. He insisted it would be easier for her to come in and let him do it and meanwhile he could also just do a quick check of tire pressure, fluids, etc to make sure her car was road ready to drive back. Great services. Fair prices. 30 years and not an issue of complaint. Trust your vehicle is in good hands here. And the fact that I'm writing this having just spent $2000 for repairs and maintenance is saying something! I'm not pissed. I was directed her by my CarMax warranty website and couldn't be happier with the service and repairs I recieved. My spouse heard an unusual noise and felt a change in the breaking of her Hyundai. I took it in with little more than that to explain to Richard at EI. He was immediately reassuring about the durability of break components and had ideas what may have occured. His team did a great job checking and inspecting the car. Richard texted pictures of any issues they found and gave me a full array of repair and pricing options - all of which checked out on CarFax as very appropriate for the work being done. I got front and rear break pads and a fluid flush and had my car back by 5 that afternoon without emptying my bank account. I highly recommend them for service to your vehicles. read more

Writing this review because it seems something changed and made this shop money hungry and rude. I've had my BMW Z4 serviced by them before by a way of brake service, change of brake pads and sensors and other things like gaskets but what I will not abide by is lying especially after dropping $2500 on their services in the past. Today, 06/18/22, I called Richard, who is normally very pleasant, to confirm my appointment for next week I had planned for a simple oil change, his boss and owner Sergio had in my appointment notes that I wanted a complete service plus brake fluid flush that's much more above the $130 McKenna in Norwalk quoted me at. Richard telling me "we charge dealership quality for less" doesn't track or make sense if you're charging me more than the dealership at $189 for just the oil change (not counting that supposed brake fluid service I didn't ask for) and him explicitly telling me they will not reset my oil change system counter (something I had originally requested but was no where in his notes). It honestly makes me wonder if I was overcharged in the past as well, what a terrible experience just trying to get an oil change. I canceled my appointment. Be straight up guys, what a shame. read more

This is about my first experience at Exclusive Imports. I have known of the shop for years. My dad remembered years ago when he and my mom owned a Volvo they had it serviced here, so I thought I would give them a shot. I made an appointment for an alignment and as soon as I arrived at the shop Sergio was on his way from the office to greet me. On the way over my car started losing coolant. The shop diagnosed the issue and resolved it efficiently. The alignment was spot on. I can't complain about the price for the work that was done. The issue: While I was in the process of paying the internet went down. The shop and I agreed to charge my card when the internet is up. Well the card got charged more than once. At first we were both extremely frustrated about the issue but Sergio never lost his cool. It took a weekend for things to get squared away. The point: I would recommend this shop to everyone. The service was great. The price was fair. An unfortunate situation occurred and the entire staff handled it amazingly. I will most definitely return for more repairs and maintenance on the wagon. read more

I had a buddy pick up a Temp sensor for my 2001 v70XC they also recommended and sold him a thermostat. Now these are dealer OG parts not Chinese. I'm glad they sold him the thermostat since I forgot to ask for it. They also followed up o see if it worked out. Really? Very few stores have ever called to follow up only to send me coupons. I'd go lower if it was possible. Service was great but the devil is in the details- read on. When I called Sergio answered was straightforward about helping which I appreciate. He promised the diagnostic fee of $127 was going to be waived and added to the repair cost. I went in, committed to pay $127. This is where it gets dark. A couple hours later Sergio called and told me I needed new coils and spark plugs. Simple right? At what cost? $1100, yes One thousand, one hundred dollars!! I don't know much about cars so I did a quick search on google. The estimate/ Average was less than $ 300 dollars. The kit itself coils and spark plugs costs less than $180. Also, this is one of the easiest jobs in the world, 20 minutes tops!! So why $1100?!! I called back, he claimed he was using genuine parts, ahhh diamond infused?!! Still didn't make sense. So he tinkers around and quotes me $560 to replace 1 coil and 4 spark plugs. Steeeeep still!! But I'm committed to paying $127 already so I thought $560 minus $127 which would be reasonable for 1 coil and 4 spark plugs. Steep but reasonable. No! This asshole still charged me the diagnostic fee. So I paid 500+ to get 1 coil and 4 spark plugs. Look elsewhere!! This is not how business should be done. I bet he treats employees the same, I won't go back here for service ever! How would you get into a car and change only 1 spark plug?! Those are sold in sets, a set costs less than $200!! had my audi hit the coolant alarm. brought it in and had a leak on the coolant pump. 1400 bucks and 4 days later, had it repaired. delayed in hoses, but was told audi was delayed in shipping. was quoted 1400 initially, came back at 1300. it would have been more at the dealer. at least they washed the ride before returning it :) read more

I AM NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS PLACE: (READ THIS IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT TAKING YOUR CAR HERE) Took my car here for an oil change, air pump hose replacement and control arm replacement. They gave me an estimation of $955. I asked in other places and they estimated the work around $600 but since these guys had "good reputation" I gave them an opportunity. When I picked up the car from them I noticed 2 problems right away: 1st. I was able to hear a clunking noise while driving. 2nd. The radio was not working. I told them about these 2 issues and they told me to bring the car back next Saturday so they could take a look. To my surprise when I came back again next Saturday they wanted to charge me $150 to "investigate" the issues. The did not want to own what they did... They told me that they did not toich the radio and that was not their problem. The owner was so disrespectful and I had to leave the shop extremely frustrated because it was imposible to keep a conversation with him. I ended up taking the car to another shop to fix the problem... it seems that they had messed up with the FUSES and a couple of them were missing...(dont ask me why...) They also forgot to tighten one part so it was making noise. I feel totally disappointed after paying almost $1000, after waiting 5 days for my car and after receiving the car messed up... never ever coming here again. I am dissatisfied with the A/C repair since the issue is still not fixed as the A/C is blowing hot air again. I left the car in the afternoon and the car was ready the next day (close to 24 hours) but a loaner car was not provided. The price quoted verbally for the repair was different than the actual invoice. The mileage was incorrectly stated on the invoice. The car was driven 5 miles to test the A/C. I felt like I was at the dealership since I was given a list of unrequested repairs. We were picked up in a car that had a noise and the issue was brought to the attention of the employee. However, the employee did not mention the issue to her boss, Sergio. A quote for replacement of new tires @ $1,000 was given along with an enticement for price matching at America's Tires but Sergio does not know that America's Tires do not provide written quotes. Other places provided more reasonable quotes. I forgot something in the car but Sergio did not want my mother to accompany me to get the item which I thought was strange. Sergio referred to me as "young lady" and I felt he acted more professionally with a male customer than with me. This was a referral that I regret. Update #1: Since my review, Exclusively Imports has contacted me twice around 8am during non regular business hours. This morning Jolene used an anonymous number to call me and was unprofessional. She needs to identify herself first then apologize for calling so early to disrupt my day. She treated me as if I were her employee and belittled me on the phone. Update #2 5/8/2019 Sergio yelled at me today to leave and threatened to call the police because he belittled, disrespected me, and treated me as if I were his employee in his office. He commanded me to remove my negative review to provide a refund but was reluctant to put it in writing. Unprofessional place - STAY AWAY! I'm afraid to leave my car here for further repairs. He also asked me what my profession is and he told me he followed me on yelp. He also asked me if I have ever left a good review which is irrelevant to the issue of A/C repair. read more

Sergio is the man!!! This shop was awesome! I was having some disasters at other shops getting my car fixed. I hated where I had my car (they were crooks), so I called Exclusively Imports. He gave me a rough estimate over the phone (half of what the other shop was trying to charge me). Ended up being just $20 over the estimate (due to having a little bit of gunk they needed to clean up on the used part I brought them to install). They were able to get me in quickly, and took care of me completely! He offered to drive me to a nearby shop to relax. I stayed in their office and enjoyed the leather couch and free wifi while I waited. It was very comfortable, and Sergio kept me up to date on the progress. It was very helpful. After they finished up, I took my car back and had a bulb failure (must have been from the tow truck because it wasn't there before I told them). They fixed in 2 minutes later free of charge. They were friendly, fast, and efficient. I would definitely recommend taking your car here if you have issues. read more

I am from Ventura County and wanted to get a Volvo SUV looked at because I am potentially going to buy it. It is from a small dealership and which I like to stay away from. So since I am not from there I looked up a mechanic to look at it. I asked for them to call me with all the problems before they called the dealership. Sergio and Richard were super nice and helpful but most importantly Honest! I also asked them to give the dealership all the papers saying what the problems were so they were aware. I've had issues with messed up sensors and bad installations from dishonest AND inexperienced employees from general repair shops in the valley, or flat out rejection to work on my Volvo from the inexperienced but honest ones, until I found Exclusively Imports. My favorite part about the place is that they are honest and experienced, I've utilized their service twice so far at fair prices and without any issues. Here's the summary from today's visit: $50 inspection fee? Sure, this isn't a sweat shop and I certainly wouldn't mind paying for a professional inspection. $150 labor cost to replace break pads and rotors (w/ self purchased rotors)? Completely understandable, knowing that I won't need to spend another $100 to replace some messed up sensors, or having to come back to the shop to take care of noise issues from bad installations. FREE break pads because the existing ones is covered by Volvo? Wow, I didn't know this! A dishonest technician would have charged me a couple hundreds more! Free car wash? I mean really, with this level of service, you really don't have to do this every time, but thanks! Total: $200. Summary? Unless a problem occurs, this would be the only shop I'd go to for any maintenance or repairs on my Volvo XC90. read more

They replaced my alternator twice they replaced a new battery that I had just put in with their battery, they did a steering column program. Then they replaced my CEM/ Central Electronic Module. Thousands of dollars and time., my car still isn't running. I have all my receipts/proof. So i had to tow it to another shop. Note!; Pay Attention to what they ask you to sign if you do business there. My last day there, they wanted me to sign something that had nothing to do with my bill that i had just paid "Under Duress". Seems unusual.. Thank you reading about my experience. read more

When daughter was in San Deigo, we had a great small garage that did all the pm on her 2016 XC60, but we have been searching for over two years in the LA area. Well, our search for a new shop for her Volvo is over, and we are very impressed with Segio & Andrew at Exclusively Imports. Its a family run business, and you can tell from the moment you speak with them. No high pressure tactics, just the facts and always willing to discuss what you need to do now, or DONT need to do now, something alot of garages dont get in these tight economic times. We had to replace a key (half of what the dealer wanted), plus we did tire rotation and dont need a oil change for another couple K's miles. Its clean, its safe, and open on saturdays which really helped with her working long hours m-f. Took my vehicle in... spent nearly $1k on repairs and was imposed to spend another $1k+ on repairs/inspections that seemed irrelevant.... vehicle ran much worse than when initially dropped off (nearly had to have it towed home)...took the vehicle to another shop for a second opinion... only needed a $200 valve adjustment. Would never recommend anybody to take their vehicle here... Services were costly and mechanics did not show intuitiveness (or honesty) in explaining mitigative measures to repair problems. Management also had a "used car salesman" attitude when soliciting costs and repairs. This place is the epitome of your stereotypical bad auto shop. Never again. read more
