Wow! Had a mini staycation with my hubby for our anniversary. The atmosphere was fine and the usual for an in the city hotel spa. People very friendly and facility was clean. But my massage therapist Colleen was frankly amazing. Her hands were like magic. Just the right amount of pressure. So professional to drape me properly to keep me comfortable. Such amazing hands. I really had a fantastic massage. I have had hundreds of massages in my life and this was up there as one of the best. My muscles felt amazing after. I was so relaxed. Colleen is just great. Strongly recommend asking for us. I'm still relaxed from the massage hours ago!!!! I'll be going back on my next trip just to get a massage from Colleen. read more

This hotel is by far full of surprises. They have a government rate, full service gym, lounging area and a decent size room. What I think I like most about this hotel is the location. It's pretty much centrally located in the downtown area and is host to plenty of conferences judging by the steady flow of traffic during my recent visit. I will say that the room amenities are just slightly above average but the 24 hr gym makes up for everything. I probably enjoyed taking showers in the gym then in my own room lol that's probably because the gym is also exhale spa so not only do you get the perks of the gym you also get the perks of the spa. I didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurant in the lobby but I did frequent the restaurant bar and it is full service with plenty of space and TVs if you wanted to catch a game on television. Customer service was an 8.5 out of 10....no true negative comments about this hotel and if I'm in the area I would consider staying at this location next time. I had two guests come in from out of town, and we all three enjoyed our experience here. The out-of-town ladies had such a good time, they immediately found out where the locations nearest to them (in Chicago and NYC) were. It can be pricey, but there are often specials running through Gilt and other "coupon" type services. I understand members of the gym get discounts as well. read more

This is the finest gym in the city. If you want a zen facility decorated to the nines, then Exhale will not disappoint. The Cardio room overlooks Peachtree, and if you need a break, you can go to the spa waiting room for cucumber water and sofas with low lighting. The classes are what it's all about, and at $25 each, a fair price for the quality. To unwind/wash up from an intense workout, the showers have it all, shampoo, robes, sandals, hair brushes, etc. No more lugging a large gym bag. I did take a cold shower because they ran out of hot water.... hopefully they'll fix that soon, because at $100+ a month you would expect a hotel to get water temperature right.... Overall, a great place for high-class, big-spenders to keep fit. read more

Love these teachers! Nothing motivates me like a class with Holly at noon on a Monday!! I moved from the burbs and used to take her in Avalon...so happy she is here. I also love Carly's yoga and Stephanie's barre. I've had a massage with Wade which was awesome, and the amenities are beyond amazing. They validate parking for three hours and you should sign up for weekend classes (like spin on sat and sun) because they do get full...there are lockers, towels, razors and all the toiletries you need to freshen up before heading back to the office! Love Exhale Atlanta because 1) Strengthening/Toning/Fat Burning Barre: The Core Fusion Barre Classes really got me more interested in barre and working to strengthen the core to better support any dance development. I particularly like that the fusion aspect keeps the pace going and provides some cardio in the 1 hour, as we are all busy and I can't imagine having to go to another class or doing cardio separately. To be honest it was really hard the first few classes in the quads and to get the C. But it's become my go to work out when I feel like I really need to up my workout regimen. 2) Inspiring Instructors: The instructors are real, dedicated fitness professionals. Brianna, who runs the program in, is in amazing shape and really pushes you to get the most out of your movement. Kristen, just love her, and she plays the best mixes of music in her class that are perfectly arranged to power you through all the movements. 3) Beautiful, Clean Facilities: It's a spa facility so it's got nice contemporary decor. There's a steam room and they have nice rainforest showers and aromatherapy products all in the locker room. And it's always super clean! read more

I can finally update my review after being a member for a couple months. I have to say my initial experience with Exhale was no fluke. The machines in the gym are constantly working and in great shape. They are never out of machine wipes, towels, shower caps, disposable razors, hair spray...pretty much everything but toilet paper. There seems to be a shortage of toilet paper in the women's restrooms. (P.S. I HATE sensored toilets. I only need it to flush once. Not 6 times while I'm sitting.) The bathroom/changing facilities are always in great shape and the classes are not only effective, but fun and challenging. You can go for the gold or you can do modifications until you build up strength or flexibility. Rarely are classes ever canceled so you can count on being able to sign up for your favorite class online every week and be able to go no problem. I'm still not a huge fan of the scent of the shampoos/lotions but I can deal. I would also like if they would stock a couple little body sprays/perfumes for when I forget mine. read more

I can't say enough great things about this place! If you notice, a lot of the "negative" reviews are personal problems (I.e. Allergic reactions (product does not have to be considered cheap just because you had a bad reaction, or someone who was LATE to the class-newsflash that's not the spas fault that you were late). Anyways, I absolutely adore this place! If you go in for a spa therapy you have access to the entire gym. Seriously, go make a day of it! You can workout, take a class, and get a massage! Love. Love. Love. Did I say love? I'm not a member (yet) but have been here several times for classes and spa. I've done yoga and barre classes, and had facials and mani/pedis, and they are all top-notch. Classes are challenging but not intimidating, with instructors who are really present and engaged, and the spa services are pretty bomb-digity. Jamie did an amazing job and my skin looks and feels really great. Twice I've had yoga/facial/nail days, and it's a delicious way to spend a few hours. Not the cheapest deal in Atlanta, but totally worth the price. read more

I can now officially say, this is now my gym. I had resisted its charm for so long but it was inevitable, the second I walked in there and took a whiff of the marvelous scent from the diffusers, I was instantly hooked. I just knew that I had to have exhale spa in my life. Now it's my release from a rough, hectic day at work. I even run to it during the weekends. I actually, oh my gosh, finally look forward to working out. When I am away from it on my couch I feel like I am cheating on this relationship. I run back to it first chance I get to make it up to it by taking 2 classes in one day. Yep, Workout buff, moi. It's the kind of gym where you can run in, grab a quick workout, escape at the hammam room - with that soothing elevator music - and then, shower and get ready for a night out. They provide everything for the shower, right down to the slippers and hair spray. It's just downright awesome. read more

This Barre/Cycle/Yoga/Cardio+HIIT fitness studio is located in the luxurious Loews Atlanta Hotel. Entry is available on ClassPass. I signed up for the "Exhale Power Flow Yoga" class. I brought my own yoga mat, but you do not have to. They provide yoga mats and other equipment. You do have to bring your own water bottle and towel. The yoga instructor was very kind and welcoming, personally introducing herself to me before class started. Her yoga instructions could have been more succinct and clear since her pace was on the faster side, but overall, it was a good class. She moved around the room a lot, so when I needed a visual reference of a pose, I had a hard time finding her. Sometimes she was not demonstrating at all. I occasionally had to rely on watching my neighbors, but even they seemed lost at times. I had no trouble hearing the instructor though, since she spoke into a headset which amplified her voice over the speakers. The class seemed as though it was intended to be an unheated yoga class, but the room started to feel lukewarm due to all of the bodies in the studio. It was a little hard to breathe. I am not sure if that is due to the ventilation system being turned off or simply because there were so many people (perhaps both). It was not hot enough to be a hot yoga class, but I was able to break a sweat. The studio room where class was held seemed upscale due to the dark hardwood floors and the organized gym equipment set-up towards the end of the room. But the lights were dimmed and the class was packed, two factors which may have detracted from the feeling of luxuriousness exuded by the rest of the hotel. The music playlist consisted of mainstream pop songs, which jarringly contrasted with one of the biggest benefits of yoga: Relaxation. I cannot comment on parking, since I walked to the venue. The bathrooms were very spacey and luxurious. There are showers in the bathroom along with all of the toiletries you would need (shampoo, conditioner, skin cleanser, shaving gel, towels, bath robes, plastic bags, razors, tampons, etc.). The lockers are big enough to fit a backpack inside. It was a good class, but I was not entirely wowed or rejuvenated. ---Edit--- I took the Core Fusion Barre class the next day. The instructor for this class was great! This class was very intense. It is perfect if you are looking to tone your muscles. One hour massage was fantastic! Massage therapist here was better than those at Mansion on Peachtree, yet the amenities at Spa 21 are more diverse- offering a pool, whirlpool, terrace etc. It was very soothing and relaxing...she had great hands! Low lights really set the mood- very relaxing environment yet folks are very attentive. Afterwards, I went into the hammam -- a Turkish bath room with natural appearing warm stone slabs on which you can lie and listen to soothing music. There is also a rain shower you can use if you opt to use the sauna and need to cool down. Overall- great experience and I will be back. read more

I'm 22. This isn't normal. After seeing her once a month, I not only feel 100% healed, I've also become a massage believer. I ten months without a single cold, etc. Additionally I've received three facials at Exhale. My most recent one was with Jamie and I will never go to anyone else again. She is all about education which is great. No point in a facial if you have a weak home routine. The facilities are amazing too. I slip in early to steam or shower. read more

What a great "mind and body" gym! I've never been much of a gym person but I recognize that a healthy lifestyle in the city pretty much requires membership at one. Exhale offered a non-traditional option with unlimited gym access with either the class or the spa membership. Opted for the spa membership and works out perfectly. It's more expensive than a traditional gym for sure but when you combine the ability to have a spa treatment and a manicure every month with the $50 credit, it's well worth it. If you're a Massage Envy person, it's a no braIner. The massusess and esthetician's are the best in the business and really become fixtures in your life. Between jobs, I considered pausing my membership but the little bit of extra "self care" that they provided made a HUGE difference in my outlook and ability to bring my entire self into new opportunities. Sounds a little "woo woo" but that's Exhale. It will definitely make you consider your relationship with yourself for the better. read more

I love the space, they have spa amenities and a full service gym in the heart of midtown Atlanta. The facility is clean, the staff is very friendly and the group classes have something for everyone. Please note that the parking deck is tricky and you NEED to account for that time. One day it took me 10 min in the parking deck to find a spot and by that point I wasn't going to walk into a group class late. Not in the cards that day for a barre class :) read more

Very disappointed with massage. First, the nice things. The facilities are clean, upscale, relaxing music etc. The front desk staff was pleasant and efficient. The bad. It was the worst "massage" I've ever had. Kala was assigned to me and I would not recommend. I'm not sure I could call it a massage. It was more of a body rub. I know my muscles are tight in several areas but she seemed to not want to massage them. I asked four times during the session for her to massage harder/deeper and also mentioned I wanted special attention to my legs, but she completely ignored me. She said at the end something like 'Hope you enjoyed. I know you wanted me to massage your legs deeper but I felt a vibe that I didn't feel comfortable with'. What??? She basically massaged my skin, not my muscles. I should have just stopped it early and walked out. Never again. If you are looking for a massage, go elsewhere. Not worth anywhere close to the $155 they charge. Maybe worth $20 at best. read more

I have been to Exhale for massage and nail services over the last couple of months. The good: I had one of the best deep tissue massages if my life! I felt fantastic when leaving!!! The facilities are also nice. The bad: worst part of the experience is the front desk staff. Every time I go there is a new person who doesn't know how to complete a simple check out! What should be a short simple process becomes a long wait as they try to find someone who can help them and I get to standby and watch them train the new person. Also, check your bill. exhale Spa's 16th property opened in Midtown Atlanta yesterday. The facility is exhale's largest and includes (drumroll): * The international brand's first spin room (called "core cycling") * Top end gym equipment * Two studios, one for yoga classes and the other for Core Fusion classes * 15 spa therapy rooms * A nail bar and mani/pedi stations * A hammam (the first in Georgia that I know of) * Steam rooms * And of course locker rooms and amazing rainfall showers. ...Basically, this *spa* does it all! Love the idea of leaving the traditional gym environment for one that is just as intense and disciplined, but endlessly more welcoming and mindful. The staff here are very caring and have gone above and beyond to make me feel personally welcome. It's the Core Fusion classes that first drew me in to the spa. I've been taking classes with the teachers and staff here for a few months (pre-opening), plus doing DVDs of the classes (sold on Amazon) for about a year. These classes are well rounded and serve as *intense* strength, cardio, and balance/coordination training by employing pilates, yoga, bar exercises, and tons of proprietary combinations. The classes are also very safe for those with knee issues (i.e. yours truly). And honestly, since we all go to the gym to look good, I can promise you these classes work. I've completely re-shaped my body and lost a ton of weight (yeah, not saying how much on a Yelp review). This was the first program that conquered my life long problem areas, which I thought would be impossible. There is a reason exhale is famous for creating the best butts in the business ;). As embarrassing as all that personal detail may be to write, I do want to get the word out so that others can experience this too, because it's really improved my life. Other things I love about exhale Spa: * Locker rooms full of yummy products -- no more packing shampoo, lotion, body wash, even deodorant, razors, and hair spray. This is like visiting your best friend's place. * Yoga and Core Fusion mats, weights, stretch bands, towels, etc. are all provided complimentary with class. * An outdoors patio with hammocks. Super comfy and with million dollar views of the midtown skyline. * Huge, freshly cleaned showers with rainfall heads. The perfect end to a Core Fusion class that leaves you nearly unable to walk. * Validated parking. * Super luxe and posh decor -- wide hallways, huge tiles, large windows. Fits right into the Loews hotel it's located within. * Privacy from classes for those enjoying spa treatments (though I have yet to do a treatment). * Online scheduling for classes and therapies. Can't wait to try the traditional spa treatments and add more to this review. For now, in sum, this is my new home away from home. If you've read my other spa reviews, you know I'm all about a facility that really takes you away from the day-to-day to a special place of relaxation and transformation. exhale Midtown is exactly that place. read more

The rainfall shower is epic. The size of a dinner plate, the shower head spews forth a torrent of water that could otherwise be experienced at Victoria Falls. The gorgeous marbled stalls are closed off with frosted glass doors and come stocked with an absurdly luxurious number of towels. I could spend an hour taking a shower here. The organic mouthwash is minty without being overwhelming. The body lotion is rich, but does not absorb particularly well, possibly because it's all natural, but has a wonderful smell and its moisturizing properties last a good two days. The shampoo and conditioner are clarifying and moisturizing, respectively. The robes are a soft microfiber that is amazingly soft while still being incredibly absorbent. The have blowdryers, straighteners, cotton swabs, deodorant, hairspray and gel in the locker-rooms. The lockers and programmable, and they validate parking. Oh, the classes? You want to hear about the gym part? Oh. Well then. I've done two Core Fusion Open classes. Both times, the teachers and assistants have done a great job pacing the class, providing modifications, and physically coming around and correcting positions and postures. They are not afraid to come over to you individually and move your body parts into the correct form, but I really appreciate this as it first and formost stops me from hurting myself with the incorrect form. Though the workout is very tough, for most of the time, you're working against/with your own body weight and resistance, so it is easy to work as hard as you're able to. You'll use gym balls, canvas straps, the barre, yoga mats, and blocks if you need them. The class touches on every part of the body, but like the name suggests, the focus is on the core with lost of ab work. Overall, I've found that the hour goes by very quickly, and they add on a couple of minutes of stretching and relaxing at the end. Though class moves quickly, the atmosphere of the room is as relaxing as possible. The instructors have been upbeat and soothing, and they are unfailingly positive. This is not bootcamp, this is a workout that is a treat, especially if you take time to enjoy the amenities in the locker room after! read more

Exhale has a variety of services. I've tried acupuncture, cupping, massages (deep and flow), and the majority of the facials offered. I have been visiting the spa for the past two years and it is the best spa in Atlanta. I've tried many other spas (including the St. Regis) in Atlanta as well as the suburbs and they don't come close to Exhale. The cleanliness, amenities, and services are amazing. Exhale is the definitely full package. The staff are knowledgeable and great for recommendations. Mason, Ashley (facials/eyebrows), Kimberly (nails), and Cassandra (nails) are wonderful. Currently, I have the Luxe Spa membership and it is a very nice deal including additional merchandise discounts. With this membership, you have access to the gym not the classes. The gym is very clean and has all the equipment you would need and a couple of nice additions (TRX, sliders, barre). Considering what people pay for gym memberships in Midtown, this is a deal and a one-stop shop. I only wish they had sugaring as an addition. If you are looking for a spa and access to a quality gym, this is it. read more

Took my first class on Wednesday: Core Fusion Barre with Tiffany. Impressed with Tiffany's high energy, alignment cues, strong pacing and ability to remember all our names! The class was definitely tough in all the right ways. It's an efficient workout and you'll be sore later no matter how fit you are. I love that. The locker rooms were clean and everything you could possibly need to get ready is well stock & handy. I'm going back for more barre burn. Wish it wasn't SO expensive but you get what you pay for. read more

I have come to Exhale multiple times now. I have attended many of their classes here. Overall, this is a great gym. It is very clean and the locker rooms are great. They have white tea amenities (shampoo, conditioner, etc.). They have towels, shower shoes, razors... basically all the items that you need to get ready. In terms of their classes, there is a great variety. They have yoga, spin, barre, TRX, and many other versions of classes. The classes are usually very good. My only complaint is that some of the employees are not very friendly or even rude in some instances. For example, the first time I came to Exhale, I tried a class, where the description said core, abs and body weight exercises. I figured that I could handle an ab class the morning after doing a boot camp. When I got there, it was not at all a core class, but a very high-intensity interval class that was extremely difficult. I was not up for it at all. After the first 30 minutes, I simply couldn't handle it. I was already so sore from the day before that I just couldn't properly complete the exercises and felt it would be best for me to leave early and just do some stretches. I told the instructor that I had to leave. She told me (quite rudely) that they did not allow people to leave from classes early. She said that since it was my first time, she would let it slide, but don't ever plan to leave early... wow. I would have figured that they would have been glad that I was there (i.e. paying for classes)... Another experience I had with an unfriendly/rude employee was during a barre class. Myself and a friend of mine showed up for a barre class. We were there 15 minutes early, just sitting there. We introduced ourselves to the instructor and told her it was our first time. We asked her if there was anything we needed to know... she said no. We just sat there until the class started. As soon as she started the class, she said that everyone would need socks... well we didn't have socks on. I was surprised she didn't tell us this when we first introduced ourselves. At this point, I realized I didn't have any socks in my bag. The instructor told me to go and purchase socks from the front desk, I wasn't allowed in the room without them... I walked over there. $20... wow. I was very annoyed because had she told us we needed socks when we first walked in, I would have had time to walk to my car and grab my socks... just a very frustrating event that should have been avoided. Oh well. Great workouts, great amenities... just be prepared to put up with some not super friendly employees. read more

Disclaimer: I did not receive any spa treatments here. I went to use the fitness facility and take advantage of the hamam. This place has a lot of potential to be very nice. I'm not sure if the economic downturn hit them particularly hard or what, but the overwhelming feeling I got was "sparse." The steam room was not working, which the attendant admitted they have had repeated problems with it. The hamam is co-ed. I understand that this is not uncommon, but I didn't like it at all. It made it very difficult to really relax, and rendered the shower all but useless. The fitness equipment was in good shape. They had lots of cardio equipment, but were very short on the strength training. There was one small set of free weights, a combo machine, a cable machine, that was pretty much it. This place wasn't terrible, but it certainly wasn't great. It definitely didn't seem to merit what they were charging for membership. read more

I rarely write reviews, but I am halfway through my Transformation week and I am hooked! For those who haven't tried this place yet, this is the best deal you can get: for $30 you get a week of unlimited classes, while if you book a single class it's $25 for just one. The first class I have tried was a Barre class and I am still in pain from two days ago. I am no stranger to exercise, being a regular runner and doing weights a few times a week I thought I would have no problem taking these classes. Boy, was I wrong. These classes will make you work, alright! However, the instructors are so motivating and helpful, and most people who take the classes are very fit as well. So that's a great motivation for me! The facility itself is gorgeous, everything is clean, shiny and smells great. Not to mention, all the possible toiletries you may need are supplied in the locker room. They even have curling iron/hair straightener! The showers are fantastic as well, and I love their products too. My hair is so soft after their shampoo/conditioner. I was skeptical about the fusion classes, thinking that yoga and a workout shouldn't mix. But in reality it works amazingly well! And you feel so uplifted and rejuvenated after each class. Overall, it seems like the classes here are very effective (I thought I would never get sore muscles again). And I really like that they are serious about stretching/cool down afterwards. So far I've been to three different classes here and I am pretty sure I will be signing up for a membership here. This is a lifestyle I could definitely get used to. read more

Exhale has made an addict out of me. I joined Exhale exclusively for the classes. They don't offer a whole lot: just the signature Core Fusion Open, variances like Core Fusion Cardio (and boy, is it cardio!), Core Fusion Sport, and some flow-based yoga classes. There are also spinning classes, but I'm not particularly interested in those. Even though it doesn't seem like a lot of variety compare to your average gym, they are all quality classes. It's like going to a fine dining restaurant that offers just 2-3 choices per course, but all of them are amazing; versus going to the Cheesecake Factory and getting a book of choices and end up feeling like crap afterwards. Exhale is a fine dining restaurant. All the Core Fusion classes involve a lot of isometric exercises. Very tiny precise movements with light weights, high reps, that just kill your muscles. Or make them stronger, I don't know. I'm hoping for the latter. I've been going pretty regularly since they opened at the beginning of Sept. I have yet to finish a class without having to come out of *some* set early, due to serious muscle fatigue. I have also yet to finish a class without feeling light and lean and like a million bucks. I guess that's why I keep going back :) Like a fine dining restaurant, Exhale also offers incredible service. Every gym/yoga studio offers the use of free yoga mats. Exhale has *Manduka* mats. And they wash them after each class. So you don't have to worry about getting too close to somebody else's cooties. Exhale also stocks the locker room with bath robes, towels, disposable razors, and even spray deodorant, high quality lotion, and more. I love that I don't have to lug a whole locker-ful of stuff there to be able to go straight to work afterwards! The rain shower stalls are awesome; and as soon as you are done, the service people discretely go in and clean it up, put in new towels, and get it ready for the next patron. Ladies and gentlemen, this place is worth the price! The place also offers a state-of-the-art cardio room overlooking Peachtree. I haven't worked out there since I've been so hooked on the classes. There's also a co-ed hammam, which, well, is a bit weird to me. Haven't tried it yet. I have also tried the spa. Massages have been fantastic. Pedicures are pretty decent. But the spa services are nothing to write home about -- it's what I'd expect from a place at Exhale's price point. What they do really well is that they never try to up-sell you. I've never been pressured to buy any products used on me for the treatments. That is much appreciated! To summarize, Exhale is worth every penny it charges for the membership. If you enjoy the quality things in life, give it a try. You won't be disappointed. read more

New Review: I've been with Exhale for almost two years now, and I love it. I am convinced there is no better gym in the city. Jesse, Brianna, Tiffany, Alex, Patricia, and Gene rock my world. The classes, all of them, are amazing. The instructors really take the time to help lead you through difficult workouts and correct your posture. Barre and CFX are my favorite classes. I've been going to Exhale through Classpass for the past four months. Pros: The workouts are intense and leave you sore for a day or two, which is great. Cons: Parking is confusing. As noted by others, the employees are not very friendly. Yesterday, I showed up to the Thighs and Glutes class with instructor Brianna. As I was collecting mat for the class, the instructor walked upto me and rudely told me they required socks for the class. I had no idea that they required socks for that class as nothing was listed on the class sign up page. She asked me to go purchase the socks, or I won't be allowed in the class and snatched the mat away from me. I thought that was very insulting. Park on the 7th floor for visiting parking and take the elevator down to the lobby, walk around the corner to the hotel elevators and head back up to the seventh floor. The elevator exits to the lobby. A friendly associate will help you out up front, get you setup for a class or spa service and show you around. Clean, modern locker rooms with everything you need. I took a barre/core fusion class with Stephanie as the instructor. As a crossfitter and runner I am just getting into more core work with barre and yoga. I found the workout challenging and varied but at the same time relaxing and meditative. Stephanie the instructor was very friendly and helpful for a beginner such as myself. I was very happy with my experience at Exhale and will definitely be back soon to enjoy a workout at this location. read more

Exhale is such a wonderful spa. The ambiance, the services, the gym, the Hamman and steam room are all fantastic. I just wish people would respect the common spa areas and talk quietly or not at all. It seriously disturbed my (and others) desire to sit quietly and think, meditate or whatever with folks talking loudly and laughing in the Hamman and waiting area. I have been a member at exhale since November 2014 and I absolutely love it. I became interested in joining after hearing they were opening up a studio in Alpharetta which is where I work. I started out with the "Week of Transformation" which is $30 and let's you try out as many classes as you want during the week. If you decide to join after, you get that $30 back towards your first month. For the spa, I have had the 60 minute massage and the 60 minute facial and loved both. read more

Leaving behind Exhale was definitely one of the worst parts of moving from Atlanta. Exhale offered the cleanest fitness facility I've ever seen. The power yoga classes were great. The locker rooms, showers, and spa were all exceptionally clean and well stocked with all the goodies you'd expect. It's a little weird that there are not private dressing rooms. I usually would not leave online reviews, but this was a super disappointing experience. I was so excited to relax and have a getaway planned by my husband and the massage was beyond disappointing. The therapist started by asking for the areas of tension (neck and shoulders) and NEVER massaged my neck or shoulders. I think maybe she was new and didn't know how to manage the time. I kept thinking, when I turn over she will get to it, but she had me turn over massaged my legs and was done. I left feeling super disappointed in this experience. read more

My review is probably closer to a 3.5. But rounding down. I use Exhale via ClassPass and have been trying to wait to take a few classes prior to writing this review, since they offer a few different options. First, I have never done a spa treatment here, used their gym, or their facilities other than the cubbies. Parking: Confusing but not terrible. My main issue is there isn't enough of it. So many of the spots are reserved leading up to the proper floor, and then all the parking on that floor tends to be taken if you are arriving at a popular hour. Parking is validated. Facilities: Everything looks super clean. The equipment is clean, the rooms, are clean, etc. They have a store where you can buy an abundance of items and they have a whole locker room or just a cubby section. The room sizes are large and well lit. Instructors: All have been very friendly. They all take a note to remember my name and call me by name when making corrections or praises. This was really high quality. Classes: I have taken three different classes with Exhale and feel differently about them all. (1) Core Fusion Barre: This is my favorite class. For people who have done a couple of barre classes this one is very similar and easy to follow. I found it challenging but not impossible and space isn't as much of an issue here since everyone is doing the same movements in the same direction on the barre. (2) Barre + Cardio: I have taken this class twice and I don't really enjoy it. The first have of the class is cardio, involving a lot of planking, kicking, punching, squatting, etc. And the second half is barre. I enjoy the barre part and not the cardio part. The problem is, while the instructor is very friendly, the class moves very fast. I wouldn't consider this a beginners level course because the cardio is very difficult to do at a continuous, non breaking pace. In addition (maybe I am just super uncoordinated) but their moves are very complex with a lot of different arm and leg components at once. Since the only instruction is really following along, I waste half the time trying to figure out the move. (3) Core Fusion Extreme: I accidentally found myself in this class yesterday. I didn't read fully and thought I was attending the barre class. For this class you need tennis shoes. There are 5 stations that are explained briefly in the beginning of class. Two exercises at each station. You do each exercise twice before moving forward and you repeat the whole 5 station circuit a second time. I have two issues with this class, move complexity, and space. The moves remind me of the cardio section in the barre+cardio class. They are difficult to master with proper form the first time around. For those who don't do the class often, 8/10 exercises could be new to you and you have to remember how to do each of them with only a few second visual. Each exercise is only 40 seconds so there is very little room for figuring out what you are doing. Second, space is a major concern. They really do jam pack people in these classes and while it is okay for some, it is not okay for this class. People are flinging weighted medicine balls, and doing skii slides and people were practically running over each other. It was very stressful trying to keep from hitting people. Points are docked for lack of instruction and class size. read more

As soon as you walk off of the elevators into exhale spa in Loews Hotel Midtown Atlanta, you instanty forget the fact that you just walked away from the bustling traffic and streets of the city and are instantly surrendered to the serenity of this zenfully designed facility. You are greeted right away with smiles from any of the team members, it could be guest experience associates, mind body managers, therapists or the teachers giving you a feeling of a second home! The sights and sounds are divine, the first thing you see is the wellness boutique, where you can buy top of the line fitness apparel and exhale/core fusion signature apparel. You can also purchase the Exhale Core Fusion DVDs to do at home when not able to get to classes. Not too mention Spa Ritual nail polish(vegan) and skincare products (as used by the exhale estheticians), jewelry and much more. If you take a left, you will find the nail boutique and Wellbar, where you can a nice relaxing mani/pedi or get treatments while in a hurry! If you swing a right from the front desk, you will find a long hallway which leads to the ladies and men changing rooms/showers on the right. Across the hall, is the Core Fusion studio which resembles a ballet room. It is stunning with gorgeous dark hardwood floors and mirrors with barres around the entire room. Like mentioned in the previous reviews, the Core Fusion classes are the reason to be here...anything from Core Fusion Basic and Open(more advanced) to Core Fusion Cardio and Sport(fast paced, high intensity). All intense classes to get your body and mind on the way to long, lean muscles, a supple spine and all over youthful feeling! The yoga room is down the hall to the right and is a beautiful space to practice. You can't help but get the best of all worlds and all of the classes compliment each other so spectacularly that you will feel so great when you leave that you are planning your next class! Then you walk out of class feeling tired and sore but feeling great! You can walk outside on the patio and lay in the lovely hammocks (in the shape of the exhale logo) and take in the scenery. Then can enjoy the most exquisite showers with exhale's top of the line products, by exhale's line GRN, everything you might need...not too mention the sauna near the showers for gender specific privacy. You can also visit the hammam detoxification chamber near the therapy rooms. Here is a co-ed Turkish bath, the first of it's kind in Atlanta! It's a total relaxation area where you can walk into the sauna here, walk through a cool rainfall shower(with bathing suit please) then wrap in a towel and lay on the warm marble slabs to totally melt your Core Fusion soreness away. It's about 99 degrees and is so rejuvenating. The therapy rooms are outside the hammam and any spa service is available such as massage, facials, accupuncture, cupping and much more. They use all natural products that are very unique and sought out by the exhale team. Also, top of the line equipment to maintain a youthful appearance and wellbeing during the facials...such as the Cool Beam laser light and the BT micro which retrains the muscles without botox or surgery. I failed to mention as well the futuristic, top notch gym equipment and machines to get any other kind of workout you might want if you can't make a class or in between. They also have personal trainers at times on hand to assist or set up a personal training sessions. There are also weights and resistance type machines, since they believe that less is more. Not to mention the core cycling room, where they have classes that finish off with 20 minutes of Core Fusion of course. All this in one facility is an absolute first in Atlanta. It has a very successful following in many cities and the Carribean. The entire experience is something beyond words that can change your life for the better and is a fountain of youth. I highly recommend experiencing this for yourselves.
