What an incredibly fun room!!!! For anyone afraid of doing this because it looks scary, don't be, the horror aspect of this game is all parody. The puzzles were fun, the set looked amazing, and there were so many creative spins on puzzles and little flourishes here and there to make this game feel truly complete! Okay, so I'm not a huge fan of escape rooms, but we came here as a family to celebrate my son's 28th birthday (he and his wife LOVE escape rooms) and we had the absolute BEST time here at Exit Game OC! From the moment we walked in this place felt different. The young lady at the front was so funny and engaging- she was amazing, in character, (did I say funny?!), and made us feel so welcome. The whole escape experience was so fun, scary in a good way, and we all left pumped and full of all the happy feelings! We all decided that this is the best escape room anyone had ever been to. And to think that the owners, Jeremiah and Christine did this all on their own with their own creativity- we were blown away. It was the perfect balance of creepy and gory but not over the top. And the puzzles are challenging and encourage you to work as a team which is really fun! They also send you home with PICTURES from inside the experience that you can post- yes, they sure do. You have to come here- take it from someone who doesn't really dig these things. I've changed my mind and if Jeremiah and Christine ever create another experience I'll be all over it! read more

What a fantastic escape room! It had been a while since my escape room squad was together for a IRL escape room. The last one we did was pre-COVID. I am so glad that we finally got together and I'm so thrilled that it was the 13th Basement. The ironic thing is that this escape room had every element of an escape room done in the style of an escape room parody. And yet... there was so many things that I had never seen before. This is #81 for me and now this ranks amongst the top. The build is fantastic. Everything is solid. Nothing was too fragile. I always look for creativity and uniqueness and they delivered. Their business is clean and there is even a TMNT arcade machine in the waiting room! Cowabunga! Lastly the Game Masters - Christine and Jeremiah were top notch and took time to answer our questions and chat afterwards AND they let us take pictures during the game! Who does that! Crazy! I highly recommend The Exit Game OC for both escape room enthusiasts and newbies alike! I played their game, The 13th Basement, which is a horror/serial killer theme. It's not too scary however, and I would recommend it for those looking to get into more horror themed rooms. It's part parody incorporating many common escape room tropes so enthusiasts will definitely get a good laugh out of it! I've played about 75 games now and this game managed to include an element I hadn't seen before and I thought was completely genius. What really impressed me was the owner's dedication to making their game accessible to everyone including those who might be mobility impaired. The owners took some time to show us all the alterations they could make to accommodate a wide variety of players. I loved they made these considerations when designing the room, as we know the sometimes the tasks escape rooms ask us to do are limit others from participating. The Exit Game OC gives everyone the full experience of their rooms and I loved that! The owners are incredibly nice as well and enthusiasts themselves, which shows in their work. One of my favorite escape room companies as I have played all of their games at San Diego and LA now. Deaf Friendly! I had never done an escape room. I had assumed it would be too difficult as a Hard of Hearing person. Exit Game made it super easy for me to be able to enjoy the game! I had so much fun and didn't feel like I missed out. Just make sure to advise the host in order to make it fully deaf friendly. The suspense was so good! The puzzles were super creative and it got more intense deeper into the game. I had to excuse myself to the restroom due to overexcitement. I highly recommend it to everyone to go! Okay - My group and I have done 50+ rooms and this is in my top 5 for sure!!!!! I can't recommend this room enough. You just have to do it! You will not be disappointed. It's not scary at all. You know all those boring intro videos you have to sit thru? Well.....they're intro video is THE BEST! I LOVED IT. From the get go, we were laughing and having a great time. Inside, the work and time they put into this room is stunning. You feel completely immersed! Great escape room. We've done around 60 escape rooms, with most of them in SoCal and this is a fairly new escape room location. We did 13th basement and it was a solid experience. Definitely worth the money. Good decoration, a good mix of puzzle difficulty and variety, and fun theme. There is more emphasis on the comedic aspect as opposed to horror themed. Would definitely recommend this room for both new and experienced players who are looking for a fun time. Game masters were very welcoming and super knowledgeable in the whole escape room scene. Got some good suggestions from them for other great rooms. Will be back for the other 2 escape room scenarios they are working on. read more

I happened to find Exit Game room as a spontaneous decision to try another room in the area. I found a slot available at 4pm and called in to see if I could book a room for 2 people. Jeremiah (the owner) recommended at least 3 people as some parts of the puzzle require multiple coordination/communication but still allowed us to reserve and try the challenge. I have done atleast two dozen rooms in the area and i can easily say this ranks as one of my top rooms in terms of challenge, immersion, teamwork, and solid-ness of puzzle. Grace was our game master and she did an amazing job as well giving just the right amount of hint as needed. I can see the passion put into making this room from the owners in the art work and puzzle making. I can not wait to try out future games that is being built and will definitely be back! (Note: we made it out with 2 min on the clock but it really was a challenge with 2 people, would recommend 3!) read more
