We had a great meal at Face Plant. The staff was super friendly and welcoming--it felt like we were getting table service even though it's fast food. They brought the food out to us and checked in later to see how everything was. The food was also excellent. The fries were fresh and crispy. We tried the plant-based Fancy burger and it was very good--you can tell it's vegan, but in a good way. I'd recommend getting a double since the patties are thin smashburger style. The rest of the burger was great too, with a soft bun and toppings that all worked together nicely. I honestly forgot the cheese was vegan, it was delicious. We also tried the nuggets and they were really tasty. Overall, everything felt fresh and satisfying, but not too heavy. You leave feeling good about what you just ate. I went opening day and there were two people working the drive-thru and one car in front of me. It looked like one person was the manager, and I guess that's why they stood off to the side while the other person took orders. It's a limited menu, but it would've been nice if they offered me a menu while I waited my turn. Considering their website says it took two years to get their shake right, I was surprised they didn't have it on offering on opening day. Along with the shakes, hot coffee and cold brew are also "coming soon." It was a bit of a wait for the car in front of me to get their food, and it looked like they were handed some fries to enjoy while they waited. I wasn't given anything for my wait, but my food was handed to me as soon as they pulled away. When I got home, I realized one of the items I thought I ordered was missing. Clearly that's on me for not listening when they read my order back, and explains why the total was less than I expected. The veggies on the fancy were so crisp and fresh, but the sauces on the red & yellow really overpowered the burger. Their special sauce was unique with some nice pickle chunks, but the fries were unremarkable, just good, not great. Getting to the drive-thru lanes and exiting the parking lot were a bit confusing to me, so I was glad there wasn't a ton of traffic to navigate when I was there. I really appreciate a vegan fast food option in this neighborhood since food in general is limited there. I look forward to trying it again once their full menu is available. read more

+ 1 star for this option being here which I really appreciate, but the food was more like 3 stars for me. I'm either being gaslit by the amazing reviews on their burgers, or I just happened to get a bad batch, but unfortunately I was not a big fan. The taste was just okay, but my issue really came down to texture. Everything was mush. The bun: soft. The patty: playdough. The cheese: slimey. And the sauce was different than the magical special sauce we all know and love on other famous chain burgers. I would love to get a delicious, smashed caramelized patty off the grill + a crisp bite of thick lettuce on a pillowy bun sauced to perfection. Their current offering has the look down right, I think they could perfect the taste with time & have something amazing here. The nuggets were great! and I'll have to come back and try the fries & shakes when they have them. This place is tasty but they have a little ways to go in terms of consistency. I typically order a fancy burger with no cheese and light sauce (because I've found that they are overly drippy with the standard amount of sauce provided) and fries with a side of nugget sauce for dipping. About 8/10 times they forget to include the nugget sauce so I now always check my bag before pulling away from the window. Today I thought my food tasted a bit off and very bland so I opened up my burger to find they just didn't include any sauce at all. The order was entered correctly (I confirmed via the receipt), but the kitchen hadn't been paying close enough attention. That being said, the employees are always friendly and when the orders come out right they are delicious. OH ALSO, it weirdly says on Yelp that there is a no tipping policy here. That is not the case and they awkwardly hand you the card reader to complete the transaction yourself where you first have to select whether or not you would like to leave a tip. Would love to do away with that nonsense and just have the workers be paid a living wage instead; do an automatic service charge on orders if needed. But it's so weird to go through the awkward tip exchange every time. read more

Ok so first of all, that shake=10/10, even in comparison to every regular, non vegan shake I've ever had. Fries were great, sauces were delicious, service was awesome, and nuggets had a great texture and flavor. The ambiance is really cute and feels like a combination of an in n out and a diner from the 50's--my one note would be the burger. Overall still fantastic, especially compared to most other veggie burger options on the market, but I do feel like the meat could use a bit more seasoning to help distract from the somewhat negatively recognizable taste of impossible meat on its own (one of the best impossible burgers I've ever tried was at Crossroads kitchen in LA--perfectly seasoned and cooked to the point where it was essentially indistinguishable from the "real thing".) All in all I'm so happy this place exists, and cannot wait to visit next time I'm in the area! read more

This place is so good! I'm not a full vegan, so I encourage you to give it a chance, even if you aren't vegan. The burgers have that flame-grilled flavor to them, the nuggies are the best tasting fake chicken nuggets I've ever had, and the milkshake is awesome. The fries are fries, haha. You won't be disappointed with them, but they're the least interesting thing on the menu. I'm glad they extended their hours. I look forward to going there after dinner, when I still want a burger. Oh, and the prices are really good, considering how crazy the prices are at mainstream fast food places these days. I'm hoping Face Plant will be around for a long time. Please go check it out! I just want to say WTF. Im not vegan nor vegetarian. I was unaware that this was a 100% vegan spot because the website didn't mention anything..... but I ordered the nuggets and a burger. I started with the nuggets and had no clue they were vegan to start. They were very good tbh. But I noticed it was vegan when I ate the burger. It broke apart too easy and didn't have that red meat taste but I will say I'm surprised I enjoyed it because I haven't had a good vegan burger ever before here. Face Plant was a delicious surprise! I am not vegan, but I enjoy eating vegan food. I ordered a combo meal with a Fancy burger, fries, and a strawberry shake upgrade. The burger was really flavorful and didn't seem vegan at all. If you like the taste of beef then it is good for that. If you are someone that doesn't eat meat because you don't like the taste of it, then this is not the burger for you. I am more of a fry connoisseur than a burger person, and I really enjoyed their fries. I would eat there again just because I liked the fries. The strawberry shake was very good too, especially for being dairy free. I'd like to visit Face Plant again to try their chicken nuggets! The cashier working the register was very friendly and helpful when I told her that I was there for a Yelp promotion. I wanted to try this vegan fast food style burger place since I saw the "coming soon" sign a few months back. Anyway, I went during a weekday and they were average busy during lunch time. I use the drive through to order my food to go home and eat it. What was nice is it's similarity to In N Out, they had a person who took your order and answered any questions about the menu. I was glad that customer service element was there so I could ask questions about the menu. The menu was also pretty simple. A few burger options, fries, and drinks and shakes. Although when I was there, the shake option was not available yet. The person who took my drive thru order indicated that they were working on perfecting the consistency of the shake and would be out soon. The one thing they had on the menu different from In N Out was they offered nuggets. These were really good and tasty as I got an order with my burger combo to try out. When I picked up my food, the person at the window was very friendly and nice. Food took a little longer then I was use to waiting at the fast food window but the window attendant person was engaging and talking to me so it didn't make the wait seem so long. Overall the quality of the vegan food was very good. Flavorful, tasteful, and right consistency/texture similar to the meat counterparts. I am not a vegan and could barely tell I was eating vegan food. I think vegans and non-vegans should give this place a chance. Sadly for me, I tend to eat at vegan place when I don't want to feel so full or want to convince myself I am being a little healthier by eating at a vegan place. I would say the one thing that might hinder the success of this place is its location. It is in a warehouse/business area where I can see that there is not much traffic or visibility. So because of this, I think I would try and come more to support since I am in that part of the neighborhood. read more

Please come to this place!! Listen, I haven't even gotten my food, and I'm STARVING, which could totally make me into a cranky curmudgeon. However, the owner of this place is RUNNING around handing out orders, thanking everyone for coming in, and apologizing for the wait. I've heard him give customers free food, extra fries, and free refills when he sets down their food with an apology. Let's be clear: there is a wait (although it really isn't any longer than a regular restaurant and I'm dining in), but that's because the restaurant is packed and the drive-thru is full. I'm happy to see a vegan restaurant succeed, especially when its prices are this fair, so I will happily wait for my food. I don't even have to taste the food to know I'm coming back because this has been the friendliest fast food restaurant I've ever been to. The owner is caring and committed, so I want him to succeed and thrive. I will also say that in waiting for my food, I'm seeing other people demolish their own meals, so the food must be pretty damn good!!
