The purple matcha was just too beautiful to not order. It's a dollar or two extra for the purple whipped topping, but heck, it's worth it! It kinda tastes like fruity pebbles. Very good! There isn't a lot of space to order and the line quickly reaches the door but there's plenty of seats once you order. I saw a lot of people working at their laptops and such! There's patio seating as well!

This cute cafe is open daily and 7am-7pm Parking was ok since there was street parking available Inside was very nicely decorated, spacious, clean, and had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating Service was friendly Pricing was a little pricey so expect to pay $9 for matcha drinks and most of the food was $7-$10+. Got the Matcha Flight ($18) and it came with 3 flavors - strawberry matcha, banana cream, and coconut cream. The matcha was ok and not as rich as I was expecting since they use ceremonial matcha but it just tasted average. The drinks were a tad too sweet even after giving them a good stir. My favorite was the strawberry matcha since there were bits of strawberries and it tasted very refreshing. The banana cream was decent and had a hint of banana without being too heavy. My least favorite was the coconut cream because the coconut was very overpowering so I definitely couldn't taste the matcha. The PB Power Toast ($7) was pretty good but a little pricey since it was pretty simple and easy to make. It was basically just a slice of bread with sliced bananas and honey drizzle and cinnamon on top. It tasted pretty good and not too sweet but seemed pretty basic for the price. The Breakfast Croissant ($9.25) was delicious! The croissant was crispy and it was stuffed with two fresh eggs and ham and cheese. Definitely recommend! Overall, I thought the food was decent but the Matcha flight was definitely overpriced and nothing tok special so most likely won't recommend or reorder.

I was hoping to find a cute coffee shop while visiting town, and honestly this place didn't disappoint! The inside is very aesthetic, yet fun at the same time. Ordering was quick at the front and the worker was friendly. They seem to have a lot of trendy drinks, so I decided to try a iced banana cream matcha. It was pretty good, but feels like it could've had a touch more of the banana flavor. Otherwise, worth trying! I'd like to try their matcha flight next time. For food they have pastries, burritos, bagels and sandwhiches. I got an avocado toast with a fried egg which was yummy and filling :) I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants to try

I am trying local coffee shops with my friends and I will submit. I'm having a great time doing so and Fair Trade Cafe did not disappoint! First of all aesthetically it is so cute and here I came on a Sunday and they had a DJ who played the best mix of music and created such a vibe! And sometimes when they have the DJs in the restaurant, it's too loud and overpowering the DJ here did a good job of providing music that you can vibe to, but not wear it so loud that she couldn't carry on conversations and still enjoy yourself. My friend had ordered us a coffee flight and a Matcha flight and to be honest the market plate was my favorite. I like both coffee and Matcha, but their flavors really stand out the strawberry Matcha and the banana cream. Matcha were my favorite favorites. The banana cream had such a delicious flavor and undertones to it, along with the fact that it had cold foam on top. I enjoyed it so much that I actually got a full-size cut to go. I also had a chocolate croissant which was delicious and my friend had a blueberry muffin. I tasted as it was also delicious. They were heated so they took a minute or so to come out because it was a busy day, but I do like that they do bring your treats out to you and I think the team here was super friendly and engaging and I really can't wait to return.

I saw this cafe a lot over social media and TikTok, so I definitely had to stop by and try. It's located right next to a free parking garage, so parking is super convenient. Right when you walk in, you can tell this is such a cute and aesthetic cafe. We got the matcha flight, which comes with a strawberry cream, coconut cream, and banana cream matcha. The drinks are about half the size of the normal size, but this was a nice option to try their different flavors. Unfortunately, I think their matchas are a bit too sweet, with their banana cream being way too sweet for me. I was a fan of the coconut cream matcha, however. I wish it was a little less sweet, but still yummy nonetheless!

Much better experience than our first visit! They had a DJ and the vibe was great. Plenty of outdoor seating and a good amount inside too. I loved the Amor Latte. The matcha, though, still isn't our favorite. We have tried the 3 matcha flight and the strawberry matcha, but it tasted more like sweet strawberry milk than matcha. Very sweet and heavy on the strawberries. They don't offer gluten-free pastries, but they do have gluten free bread for sandwiches. Service not has not been that great, it often feels like we are interrupting the staff to order. We will probably give it another try and hope it keeps improving each time because it's such a great location and coffee shop!

This tucked away café is a gem. I had to stop in after meeting a client in the area and I could see the line and hear the music. That's what dreamy in. Not to mention I hadn't been there before. It's a whole vibe. Very busy on the weekends flowing with coffee, laughter, and amazing aroma's coming from the kitchen. The DJ was playing the hits and plenty of space to dive into some work study if needed. It was well worth the wait. Great customer service. I'll definitely be making a trip back for that amazing looking match flight.

Stopped in for a cortado and even though it wasn't listed, the baristas didn't hesitate. They knew exactly how to make it and handed over a perfectly balanced cup with deep espresso flavor and just the right touch of milk. Smooth, strong, and finished before I wanted it to be. We grabbed seats outside and the weather made the whole experience even better. Easy atmosphere, good energy, and plenty of space to relax without feeling rushed. It's an ideal pick for a first meet up, a low key coffee date, or a spot to open the laptop and get things done. On top of that, the pricing is solid for the quality. I used to come here all the time before I got my own coffee machine. It gets very busy and crowded on weekends, so try to avoid peak days if you're looking for a quiet coffee break. The location is great, close to downtown Phoenix and many other activities. And get this: there's free parking! Honestly, the coffee itself was pretty average. However, I found myself obsessed with their matcha flight! It comes with three flavored matcha - coconut, banana, and strawberry. If you sit at the bar, you can even watch the barista prepare them, which makes the experience more fun.

I've been here twice and it continues to meet my expectations of what loving your business looks like. Stephanie and her daughter have such a powerhouse location, with just everything that is associated with it. Their team, their location, the decor... even the bathrooms!!! Heard about their matcha flight through TikTok. The matcha flight comes with the strawberry cream, coconut cream and banana cream. All three use ceremonial matcha according to the menu. The coconut matcha was the best out of the three, as the other two were too sweet for my liking. The size of the flight were smaller than expected so we also ordered a regular sized double matcha and another coconut cream. The double matcha was also topped with whipped cream. Sweetness was on point, but it didn't taste like high quality ceremonial matcha. Aside from the matchas, this cafe offers other drinks like coffee and smoothies. They also have a variety of pastries, sandwiches/wraps and breakfast. There are plenty of seating inside and outside the cafe. I'd say this is a great spot if you're starting to get into matcha.

I chose this spot because of the matcha flight. And is did NOT disappoint! It's a really cute cafe with a lot of feminine charm; they have a working wifi, food/snacks, and drinks beyond coffee. And it's dog-friendly. I went on a very busy morning, so service was lacking. I paid for a sandwich with gluten-free bread, and was later informed (after paying the upcharge for the bread) that they were out of the GF bread and could only make the sandwich as a salad. (No refund on the bread charge, as I forgot). It also took a longer than usual time to get my dining companion's croissant.... 10-15 min passed before she had to follow up; and then it took another 5 min or so after to come out. But it came out warm! Another area of improvement: serve dine-in drinks in normal mugs to cut down on paper cups and single use plastic tops while also keeping your tea/drinks hot. The star of the experience was the matcha flight, which you can only get it cold. Alt milks available. Each variety was a DELIGHT (honestly, Ic could never pick a favorite; all so good) and would order that again--perhaps to share because it was a lot of caffeine.

Fair trade cafe might just be my favorite place to get a matcha! In February they had seasonal drinks and raspberry cold foam and I found my new obsession. I got an iced white chocolate matcha with raspberry cold foam and it was so delicious I think about it daily lol. This place does get very busy though fair warning, the first time I came here we waited over 30 minutes for our food to come out and drinks took quite some time too. I tried the breakfast croissant with bacon which was good, but a little too pricey for what it was. They do have a wide variety of food and drinks though if you are looking for a matcha, coffee, smoothie, or sandwich they got it here. Since they are in downtown they have street parking scattered around and you do need to pay for it, they do not have a parking lot. We tried a few of their seasonal drinks during Valentine's Day like the red velvet coffee, which was nothing special just tasted like an iced coffee but the color was pretty. And my friend got a lavender coffee which was nice and refreshing. read more

Horrible experience. I called ahead to get a reservation as their page suggests. But when I called, they said they don't reservations because it was slow. *Tell that to the line I stood in. My lady and I ordered on the same ticket. She got her food, I got my coffee. She got her coffee. After my 3rd inquiry, 20 min later. Overrated!!! I was not impressed to be honest! To start the lady taking the orders rushed me and was not helpful...they didn't have a seasonal flight so I ordered the regular flight, a matcha, and the tiramisu latte. We didn't like any of these selections in the flight. The Tiramisu latte was too sweet. I ended up ordering another drink and just adding praline syrup to it and preferred it over all the drinks we ordered. The flowers on the table were old in dirty water so I removed the vase from our table and the windows and seal were dirty where we sat...overall cafe was dirty. Very disappointing as I was looking forward to this place and spent over $40 on coffee that was not great. I gave 2 stars because when I went up to reorder another drink the guy who took over over taking orders was super nice... read more

Such a fun little gem in downtown Phoenix. I was visiting for the long weekend and had to fuel up before I busy Saturday. I've seen some of their social media, including some really fun Valentine specials so I had to stop in for the pink delights. Sadly, they were out of their Valentines concha but I was still able to try a really tasty chai with a strawberry foam on top. It was a really good drink. The day we went they were hosting an event, and it was really fun to engage with the event hosts and hear about their upcoming music festival. Especially exciting because this was a Latina led festival. We were able to find parking a few blocks away. It was a nice short walk. read more

After seeing this cafe all over TikTok, my friends and I were excited to try it! The ambiance is great, and our customer service when we first ordered was too. They have lots of unique options, and do offer coffee flights too. The prices are pretty average (my latte was $8), and I am happy to support a local business. We did go on a Saturday, so it was pretty busy (line out the door). Our lattes were ready within 5 minutes of ordering, and they were not very strong, but they all had great flavor. We understand that food will take longer than coffee! However, we waited 48 MINUTES for a very average bagel sandwich, BLT, and breakfast croissant. When we did get our food, it was cold. The staff did not apologize for the wait, they just said they were very backed up. If I were to come back, it would be just to order coffee. read more

I saw this place on ticktock and well because I love coffee I gave it a try. First the place is big they have plenty of sitting space inside out in the front and out in the back. Looks like they allow pets a saw a costumer with his pet. There was a little of multi tasking from the staff and that can create a some confusion. We had to make two transactions as there was staff changing tasks. I did not got to try any pastries as they didn't look very fresh. I would give this place another try just to try another coffee. We stayed at a hotel within a quarter mile of this cafe for a few days, and visited here every morning of our stay. We were going to tour around different places, but the first day this one was so good that we just kept coming back. We worked our way through all of the House Specialties menu, my favorite was the Gueritta and my wife's favorite was the Phoenix. The main barista there when we went was kind, helpful with the menu, and interacted sweetly with our infant son. Overall the experience was fantastic and it was a great part of our morning to come here. They made one simple mistake with an order on a busy morning, and immediately and politely corrected it with no hassle. The Spanish vibes were fun and tasteful, not overbearing. Place was okay but I won't be coming back. Tried the matcha and it was okay. I'm not a very picky person but it did not hit the spot. Very overhyped. My sister bought two drinks and wasn't a fan of the tiramisu coffee. Would've rated it a little higher but one worker was lowkey rude and did not have good customer service. read more

Honestly this place was a lot smaller than I thought it was going to be walking in on first impression, It was still super cute and cozy cafe vibes good music ! The service was normal, I was really excited to try their matcha because I have been seeing them on all of my social media platforms ! I like a simple matcha so I just went for a matcha latte with agave ! & my bestie got the strawberry cream ! Cozy space for a little hang out with some great tasting drinks and bites. It's very chill and laidback but also very friendly for anyone that would want to try some work done. There's also a small enclosure outside at the front and back for those that want to chill in the sun. The chorizo sandwich on a croissant is recommended, though the chorizo was a bit light on the flavor. The coffees have a great taste and the cold brew was very rounded with a mellow finish; I highly recommend the Black Magic Woman. The service was great; I forgot his name but he was so sweet and his recommendation was so spot on and I really enjoy that when the staff know their menu. read more

Absolutely love this little cafe and wish I lived closer to sample their whole menu! I got their Sweater Weather from the fall menu that has White Chocolate Chai Topped w/ Pumpkin Cold Foam. This drink made my whole morning! The ghost concha was also delicious. I got their breakfast burrito but didn't snag a picture. It was hearty and had a good salsa with it. The barista was very friendly when ordering and the overall vibe of this place is awesome. FYI: you can park in the parking garage behind them! I wasn't sure if it was allowed or not. Step away from the metro and busy central Ave and into the warmth and relaxed vibes of @fairtradecafeaz. It's located right at the curve of where 1st and Central Ave come together. It has become my favorite area of downtown Phoenix as it's such a great area to walk and explore. This is a great spot to start the day with coffee and breakfast. My seasonal iced coffee flight was flavorful but not too sweet. Ma had a tasty egg and cheese croissant sandwich. My chorizo one was loaded with great flavor while still being nice and light. They also offer bagels, burritos, paninis, smoothies and ice cream. The inside of the cage is cozy with tables and plush seating. The outdoor back patio sits in an alcove of the Roosevelt square apartments. It's a nice little hidden spot, and we really enjoyed starting our day here. You couldn't really taste the matcha at all as it was completely overpowered. I took a sip of the matcha before mixing it, and it tasted watery. The drink still tasted good- like a caramel/ brown sugar latte from Starbucks; however, if you're looking for a good-quality matcha drink, I wouldn't order from here. Also, I'm a bit mad about how I payed almost $10 for their "ceremonial" matcha, and that it didn't reflect well in it's flavor at all. Love coming here to do homework. Will be here for 4 hours with zero bother. Their banana cream matcha is soooo good. All of their matcha is, but that one does it for me. If you're unsure what to order, try their matcha flight! You will most likely have such a strong favorite that you will order a full one even if you decide to take it to go. i decided to stop by and try the matcha here, and highly disappointed. the service was horrible, waited over 30 minutes just for my order to be skipped and forgotten. i asked the only girl at the register about my order and insisted my name was not asked for and that i never received a receipt she replied "your order is just going to be called" with an attitude. then i proceeded to ask a second time and she almost gave me someone else's order but i refused and asked if she could just make me another. definitely won't be going back not because of the matcha but because of the ugly service. didn't get her name but it's the girl with braces. read more

Loved the ambiance-- there was a secluded outdoor patio nook (between the parking garage and building) in the back of the cafe which was great for work/study. I'm not a matcha guru so perhaps this I'm not making a fair judgement, but I felt a bit underwhelmed by their strawberry matcha?? Maybe it just wasn't my taste palette, but wasn't worth the $$ for me. Pictures made it look better than it was imo. Popped in here on a Sunday morning to catch up with a friend and we found a cute little table in the spacious inside. We both initially ordered the new frozen horchata drink, as we were excited to try it. We also both ordered the smoked salmon bagel which was actually delicious and it came with chips! Now when we got the La Chata drinks we tried them but honestly didn't enjoy the taste. Tasted nothing like horchata, just straight bitter slushy cold brew. We went up and let the barista know and she was nice enough to offer to remake us some drinks of our choice! I chose an iced vanilla latte with almond milk and it was made to perfection! This was our last stop in the Phoenix land before heading to the airport and we are so glad we made the stop. For drinks, we got the desert sunrise smoothie with chia seeds and one of February's specials - love on top (chai latte topped with/ raspberry cold foam). Both drinks were excellent, the chai especially, it was so smooth and wonderfully paired with the raspberry flavor from the cold foam. We also got the chorizo sandwich which was too greasy and salty for our liking, I would recommend you try a different sandwich if you want food. We didn't wait too long for our drinks, but it did take about 20 minutes to get our sandwich and it was not busy. Stopped by the cafe on a colder, rainy day (yes rainy!) for what was supposed to be a quick coffee and breakfast. Lattes were prepared relatively quickly and were tasty. A chorizo breakfast sandwich and breakfast burrito took almost 30 minutes to prepare, which was inexcusable. We were finished our coffees despite sipping on it until it was lukewarm warm before the food came out. One employee did apologize for the delay, but offered no explanation. Fortunately, the food was tasty and satisfied our hunger. In terms of its ambiance, you'll find alot of people working on their laptops and speaking out loud during work meetings and phone calls. Many work quietly and aren't disturbing the peace. There was one particular customer who was yelling and cursing on her call with no warning or repercussion from employees. There were teenagers and children present in the establishment so it was surprising to see that nothing was done about it. read more

A modern and really cute cafe/coffee house featuring a great selection of locally roasted coffees , artisan sandwiches, and in-house baked goods. They have a rotating art gallery inside and seem to be a nice gathering spot and a good place to hang out. The service itself is one of a kind and makes me feel like I'm at a 5-star restaurant. They bring your items out on a beautiful tray and will always serve your drink with a cup of water on the side if you order it for here. They will even package your food up for you, which I would never expect from a coffee shop. It can be busy at times with a bit of a wait because the drinks are all made one at a time, but it's always worth the wait. The place isn't very big but has plenty of seating given the space. For working from home, they do have wifi but limited outlets. Their pastries served from a local bakery are also delicious.

The ambiance, drinks, and service were all great! There is an entrance to Lola Coffee from Roosevelt and another from the back near parking spaces. There is a restroom near the back entrance, and the start to the line to place an order is right near the front entrance. I saw in one of the comfy chairs while I waited for my former student to arrive. At that point, we moved to a regular table and then went and ordered drinks. She ordered a coffee, and I ordered a lemonade. We both enjoyed our drinks which were ready very quickly. There were smaller and larger tables, and there were also countertops along with business cards and marketing items at the back of the room on a thin table. Lola Coffee began with humble beginnings going back to 1992 with a cart, then Lux Coffee, and eventually Lola Coffee downtown. Now, there is even a second Lola Coffee location in Arcadia near 40th Street and Indian School. Today, they serve coffee, pastries, and breakfast. The Downtown Phoenix location hours are weekdays from 6:30 AM to 7 PM and weekends from 7 AM to 7 PM. When I told her that, she got really hostile and started asking "why?" I told her I just didn't prefer it and she kept asking "why?" with a lot of attitude and hostility. It's not the same experience. If it was, universally we would be drinking hot and iced coffee in the same hot cup. We wanted coffee to go in a cold coffee cup. You can't provide that, so we left. She didn't offer a refund, which is fine, but she asked before we left "what can I do to make it right since you paid for it?" You could have offered a refund but you so it's fine. Went somewhere else to get the kind of experience I want. It was $15 for two coffees, a $1 extra charge for alternative milk and an add shot of espresso. They also say they don't allow dogs but they allow "service" dogs and there was clearly a dog there that wasn't a service dog wearing a service dog jacket, but he kept shaking his fur all over the coffee bar. The woman who had him was letting people pet it and the dog was licking stuff off the floor and also smelling a people as they walked by. Clearly not a service dog. Would never recommend getting coffee here.

It just tasted like harsh, strong tea, one of the other girls in the group went back up they had to remake her coffee. They said that there was a new employee working there and they were sorry. Which is totally understandable, but at the same time I think each one of us had an uncertain experience with flavor of our drinks where it was like either the coffee was too strong. The tea was too strong unflavored for mine. So the mango black tea is unsweet and normally I love unsweet tea. That's all I get, but this tea just did not do it for me. We gave him the leftovers and I told my husband I felt guilty for giving him such awful food; not sure what would be worse eating leftover pizza crusts out of the garbage can or that crappy food.

Disappointing experience at Fair Trade Cafe: Firstly, while placing my order, I requested to remove two items from the sandwich to accommodate my food allergies. However, the person taking our order responded by rolling their eyes, which I found unprofessional and upsetting. This was especially concerning given the seriousness of my allergies, and I would have expected more understanding and care. Secondly, we had to wait over an hour for our food. While I understand that things can get busy, this wait seemed excessive, especially considering we had a very simple order. When the food finally arrived, we were surprised to find that the sandwiches were completely smashed, as if someone had intentionally squished them. This experience was particularly disappointing since it was my first time in Arizona visiting family, and I had hoped for a positive experience. Instead, the negative energy and poor service left a sour impression, which is not what I had hoped for in a place I was visiting for the first time. I hope you take this feedback to heart and make the necessary improvements, as it's truly a shame that such a beautiful location is associated with such a subpar experience. read more

What's one more 5-star review? Well, I want to add Fair Trade to the My Neighborhood list. It's only FAIR! HA! I'm not addicted to coffee like sooome people, but I probably come here 4/7 days a week. Especially when it is so darn nice out and I can just stroll out my door and down Portland, cross the train tracks, ignoring the never-changing Don't Walk signs, and over to the angular little coffee shop downtowners know and love. Not unlike so many of my reviews, I love this place for its proximity and my personal convenience! But that's not all! I love their brews, their coffee-sprucing counter of assorted sweeteners like agave nectar, the spinach and feta pastry thingies, the art, and the coffee shop version of Cheers-esque vibe. Like a morning migration of everyone from Bikini Lounge I saw the night before. The workers are usually nice and there's usually somewhere for me to plug in and pretend to do homework. I was on a team of local artists who wanted to display our art on Fair Trade's walls. Their waitresses were absolutely cold, useless, not helpful to us, and unsupportive. They did not make us feel welcome as local artists but instead pressured us to leave when we were setting up because they were cleaning and closing. I ordered food from them and their service was slow. Then they gave me the wrong dish and didn't do a thing about it, even though I was an artist. Then, when we sold a piece of art, they didn't tell us but took 20%!!! What kind of business does that without ever telling us? If we had agreed to it at the start, then ok, but this was not ok. And their manager was always too busy to talk to us, and sent us hunting around the two locations to find her to get our money. I do not support this kind of business and I recommend that if you are a local artist or support local artists, take your business to a better managed, more customer-oriented place, not a cold, rude, unfriendly place like Fair Trade. read more

I found myself close by so stopped in around noon. Ordered the iced Jefita Latte and Turkey sandwich. You get a choice of side with the sandwiches, I went with the peanut butter chocolate chip cookie. Was lucky enough to grab a comfy seat by the window. My drink was the perfect pick me up. Great flavor, while still being able to taste the espresso and not overly sweet. My sandwich was spot on, everything was fresh and well dressed. The cookie was fantastic, GREAT texture. I used to come here a lot. It was convenient, the service was good, and the coffee was decent. But some of the old time barristas are not there anymore and the service seems to have suffered. The wait for the not bad but not good either coffee got longer, mistakes increased. Then I heard that a lot of their pastries come from Chompies and that their croissants are previously frozen Pilsbury. I am a creature of habit but with Lolas opening down the street, I found myself going there. There is never a long wait, they actual bake their baked goods, and the coffee is really good. The fact that Fair Trade Cafe sells Fair Trade Coffee is not a big enough draw to get me to go back. Starbucks sells fair trade coffee too but I dont go there either. read more

Fair Trade has been in my shop rotation for several months. I recently learned this shop is a FRAUD this coffee with a conscience is a total fabrication. The coffee is not organic nor is it certified fair trade as it is constantly implied and advertised. It is roasted by a local roaster and just a little research will lead you to what I found, I asked the roaster when I went to their site to order some beans and they confirmed the beans they import vary and hold no certifications for being organic or fair trade. I will never be back. The only conscience at this place is the conscience effort to lie to customers and line the owners pockets. read more

This is my stomping ground about 2-3 times a week. I usually get to know the baristas, and they are always at first surprised by what I order, but friendly and recognize me after 2 or 3 visits. They serve a mean espresso and Mocha. Their drip coffee is lovely and just what the I.V. ordered on the day you need it. Their stuffed croissants are great on the go, and I cannot possibly rave enough about their Peanut butter-chocolate chip crack cookies!!! The service is poor. The ladies behind the counter have given me attitude twice now and pretend that I am speaking Greek when I order a Venti instead of a large. They seem to have no patience for my slip up yet have no trouble gossiping behind the counter and taking 10 minutes to make a drink. I've had several of their breakfast and lunch sandwiches (the Turkey being my personal favorite) and I've also stopped in often for something simple like a bagel or a yogurt parfait. But perhaps the most underrated thing here is the ice cream. Fair Trade doesn't really advertise it and you could easily pass by the ice cream case without noticing. I was first turned on to this cafe by a Meetup group. They meet here weekly. I have to admit that the staff is very friendly and efficient. The location is easy to get too, with plenty of nearby parking. AIthough I feel the cake slices they sell are a little pricey for the value/size, they are very delicious. The barista was telling me about the ingredients, the syrups and milks they use and when I had my chance I interrupted and said " make this one as spicy as possible, please!!" and she knew what I meant. Without skipping a beat she pulled out the cinnamon and loaded it up all while disappointedly explaining to me that the syrup they use is actually the lesser of two spiced chai syrups offered by the manufacturer and that she was sad to see the other had gone a while ago (RIP even spicier chai latte). C'est la vie; I guess, this was still one tasty chai though. Now we're chatting about the tea and vanilla creamer I use at home, but be sure you use both a packet of Stash double chai as well as one Stash red dragon - it's the mix of both that really seal the deal for an at home chai and then use some of the vanilla oat milk creamer to get that at home chai latte-esq experience. We went our separate ways after giving up our own insights into the world of chai and her handing me the drink I was there for, but I still think about that chai latte from time to time. I spent the next hour or so prattling on with friends, commenting on about how the table fit all of us comfortably and the nice interior space of monorchid was big enough to fit us all without pushing out anyone else. Well, that and the state of world politics and how of course they would all fix everything if only ... Sorry, I dozed off a bit after they went on about fixing things from their current position as "Assistant to the Regional Manager" - or something akin to that title. We smack talked eachothers mommas, but in a respectful way. We challenged each other to feats of strength, but only with our thumbs, what are we barbarians?!? We parted ways in a draw because we will always live to fight another day while sipping a tasty Chai Latte because it's definitly better than your espresso, no the espesso is better, no my refreshing juice is better than both your espresso and chai latte. Only the most engaging debates for us quite noble thinkers at this coffee house and cafe!

Sometimes they play music a bit too loud for my tastes but otherwise, it's a good place to get a group together for some studying.

It's a house and once you walk in there, it is a vintage store with lots of vintage items like clothes, jewelry, and collectibles. Then on the other side of the house is the Coffee Shop. I got the earl grey matcha. The barista hand whisked the matcha and it tasted great. It has a strong matcha taste with the real matcha. The earl grey flavor is kind of light, I wish it is a little stronger. Overall great drink and I love walking around the house, checking out each room looking at the items while enjoying my drink.

Between the frustrating timing, the downgraded decor, and how overly crowded it's become, it's definitely lost its charm for me.

The vibe of this space clicks with the other gem, clothing, tattoo and hair salons within the Carmody shopping center. You order from the unique menu offering baked goods, cortados lattes, non coffee lattes and specialty beverages. The Kuromitsu matcha latte is served iced due to the cold foam but my daughter requested she could try the kuromitsu match latte hot. ($7.5) with the kuromitsu on the side. Honoring the customer's desire, Yumi gladly accommodated. I ordered the miso caramel latte. ($7.) Both drinks were tasty. The Kuromitsu had a rich taste like molasses but with less bitterness. Mix this with milk and it's like a dessert! The miso and caramel combined sweet with savory to produce a distinctive taste. This has been, consistently, my favorite cup of coffee (latte) that I've ever had. Yumi has mastered her craft with espresso and matcha. While I do usually get latte's here, i do occasionally get a matcha or try my wife's, and the matcha is equally as great. When visiting Yumi, it isn't your typical coffee shop experience, you don't wait in line to have your order taken, then wait for your order at a counter. Rather, you get to have a personal experience with Yumi (and sometimes her husband Brett) as she crafts you the perfect drink! Brett and Yumi are always great company and I really enjoy getting to chat it up with them each time we go! Not only is the company and drinks good, but the assorted, rotating pastries and treats are delicious! There are flavors that I wouldn't have thought of mixing or trying before. Each time I go, I always make sure to get something to eat, everything I've had has been delectable! Depending on the time of day, the queue can get a little long, however there are plenty of interesting magazines to look through spread out in the seating area of the Carmody that are fun to look through! The drinks, company, experience and treats are well worth the wait. I absolutely recommend visiting Yumi next time you're looking for a coffee or matcha!
