I decided to re write the Fandees review but keep the same 5 star rating. Because they teuky deserve it! I continue finding myself driving out of my way to continue to come here. Maybe its the Sonoma Veggie Hash that keeps me coming back? I have to say, absolutely everything i have ordered here is ON POINT! Their servers are ON POINT. The chefs are ON POINT. The delivery of the food and the presentation is consistent. Everyone is in their A-Game! Way to go Fandees staff! I really truly feel that it's the Sonoma Veggie Hash that gets me to keep coming back. Those poached eggs served over spinach onions, chick peas and potatoes with pesto......mmmmmm. When I order that dish, I add an extra poached egg and add mushrooms. There is great satisfaction when i cut into that egg only to watch the yolk make its way out as it slips down the veggies. We're old, and this place is perfect for us. Tonight I had the backyard salad and the quesadilla, and he had the rib eye steak. The steak was cooked exactly as he wanted it and came with onion rings and fries. My quesadilla was huge! I brought half of it home. The salads were fresh and delicious. I love, love, love this place. Extremely unassuming on the outside, but lovely and inviting once you enter. We've had breakfast, lunch and dinner here, and food always exceeds our expectations! I have been going to Fandee's for a long time. The food is good, and sometimes even special! But the wait staff seems indifferent to customers. I laugh when a waiter brings coffee, but no spoon, mil or sugar! OK, walk 3 times back to your station! Ordered a side salad with a $23 dinner, and it was an extra $10. Seems a bit extreme for a small handful of lettuce, slivered almonds, and a few cranberries. Asked for dressing on the side..... that only happens 50% of the time. Fandee's has so much going for it. It's a diner that has love put into it. I've watched the changes the owner has made to the establishment and it always gets better because it's loved. I eat the food and am consistently pleased with how good it tastes; it tastes like it's made with love. Yesterday I had a front row seat the the kitchen and watched the staff as they laughed and chatted, you could feel the camaraderie..and the make a FANTASTIC fish and chips! I have NEVER had an unpleasant waitstaff experience, it's equally always consistently great. We keep going back because it hits all the marks, even price wise, everything has gone up too much but they keep it doable. Yesterday I told our waitress, Patricia, about our experience and it opened up a 10 minute conversation about so many things. There was genuine connection. This morning I went to Fandee's with my girls because we had some extra time to spare. I was happy to have an extra moment for quality time with these two on my way to work. The service was a little slow, but friendly. My 8 year old and I shared the breakfast chorizo burrito and I ordered a side of eggs for the littlest. It was surprisingly delicious. The portion was pretty good, and thought I order crispy hash browns they weren't very crispy. It's okay though because I didn't need the extra food anyway. I was full after half the burrito. I would order this again, definitely. I would recommend this spot, too. Every time I come here the food is great. No complaints. Well, maybe one... I love this place and come here all the time. The food is tasty, staff are friendly and efficient, prices are fair, and servings are generous without being wasteful. So why only four stars? It's the godawful music. Every time I come in lately the stereo is playing modern country music. It's not even tempered by any old classics or outlaw country, just mass produced Nashville hits sung with fake southern accents and lyrics made by rhyming tired cliches. This abomination is what they call corn beef hash. If you have ever eaten corn beef hash you would know what's wrong with this dish, the corn beef was cubed and so were the potatoes. This is my third review of Fandees. I used to love this palce, and then it changed menu and procedures and it went downhill. But NOW it's back to being a great place! They had removed their great salmon entree, and its back. They had started putting their burgers and many other items on silly too-cute hipster tiny wood cutting boards. But they thankfully have stopped doing that, so the table is safe from falling food! Our new favorite dishes are the corn fritters, wedge salad, burgers, qusadilla and clam chowder! read more

Fandees is an all time local favorite, and the new patio set up with heat lamps and lights with the sturdy tents provides COVID safe eating. Staff are always helpful and service is great. Only dropping a star due to their new(ish) limited menu which was very scaled back prior to the pandemic. As a pescatarian my options are limited, they had some great salads and falafel dishes before. This limits my frequency of dining or getting take out here as I'd be getting the same thing every time. Saying that the Thai cod wrap I had last night was delicious, and even better the left overs I had for lunch today. The green salad was excellent too. Also adding that the new menu offerings also impact my partner who is a carnivore. We loved the previous menu options and would love to see them come back. read more

Fandee's used to be a real neighborhood gem, with exceptionally good food and excellent value. Friendly, efficient service also used to be its hallmark, but something has happened lately. If you want to place a to-go order, good luck--our repeated experience has been that you get a busy signal for many, many minutes--and today, after we finally got through, my husband went to pick up our order at the appointed time and was told that it had never been placed. I spoke to the young woman myself and we had a lengthy discussion about the order and when it would be ready, so I know that somehow, it got lost in their weeds. Come on, Fandee's, I know that times have been rough for restaurants and it's hard to get adequate staffing, but this is inexcusable. read more
