Great for a mom and pop burger place..any varieties of food...everything I have had there has been pretty good

I'd give them five stars if the food was excellent for lunch but its average. Their breakfast platters is the reason I keep coming back.

I had the Avocado Bacon burger with onion rings and it was so good. The portion of the burger is a good size and the onion rings are delicious. One cool thing about this place is that since they serve all types of food (italian, american, mexican) they have all types of sauces. So if you love sauces, this is the place for you. I went to this fantastic Café looking for different scenery from the other previous three that I've been to in San Pedro and one in Long Beach. This place is very nice, clean, very well-kept and roomy for dining. I ordered a grilled chicken salad and the size of the salad was half the size that I get at the previous three locations that I usually go to. It appeared that I was charge for a regular size salad but got a small size salad and also I ordered blue cheese dressing and the dressing taste like store-bought wishbone blue cheese dressing which I hate. Everybody's taste buds are different and I do know my salads and the salad I ordered from this place here tasted nothing like the salads at the other fantastic Café's. First impression is last and I will not be eating here anymore at this location. read more

I don't know what's worse...the food or the service. Usually one makes up for the other but here they're equally bad.

Got a ham and eggs breakfast plate. Aside from the fact that an entire group that ordered after us was eating 5 minutes before us, I've never had a meal somewhere where there was a problem with each item on the plate until here. The toast was cold. Not even room temp but cold. The ham steak seemed like it had been freezer burned. It didn't taste fresh and one edge was so dried out I couldn't even slice it with their knife. While the hash browns were cooked through, most of the crispy parts were actually tough and harder to bite through. The yolks of the sunny side up eggs were cooked almost through while much of the white were raw. I'd rather wait to eat elsewhere than have breakfast here again, but I may try the lunch because my girlfriend insists it's good. read more

Terrible service. Waited 15 min for a burger and sandwich to find out they had it sitting there to go. Why bother with the number they give you when eating there if they don't even check on orders. Big group of 15 guys meet for monthly breakfast meeting. We all order and wait, wait, wait and wait some more with no word from them. Our orders came out anywhere from 40 minutes to an hour later. Good Size and Clean. Good variety of food and the prices are fair. We usually order to go and it is done pretty quickly. Really have no complaints about the place, except maybe that its only open til 10 so don't plan any late night runs. read more

ordered the fried mushroom. it was soggy. there was oil and water dripping from the bag. In addition, a customer has to pay 5.49$ for fried mushrooms that is packed in a small bag and it doesnt even taste like fried mushrooms. I come here often the first couple times it's been fine but until today I went in and order the Buffalo wings combo I was excited to try it because I love wings , I was very disappointed the meal comes with 8 wings and the worker didn't tell me know they had ran out and there was only six left until after I had ordered . Once they let me know they apologized and said they could add chicken tenders I was already very hungry and on my break so I just said okay . I recently stopped by Fantastic Burger Grill while in cerritos visiting a friend. He had mentioned that they had just opened and had amazing food not to mention great prices! So when we got there there were three fire trucks parked outside and tons of fire fighters inside enjoying the food and watching some college football on the huge flat screens surrounding the place! I ordered the shrimp tacos because they were 99cents!!!! can you believe that what a deal and then we sat down and watched the game I was in heaven. The man that brought our food out happened to be the owner, what a cool guy he told us about how he had just had a day where all WWII vets ate for free! He was a real cool guy! This place is one of the greatest. They have really great deals such as all you can eat spaghetti for 5 bucks daily. they have breakfast dels, lunch deals and so forth, but I go for their gyros. their awesome. I recommend stopping by and trying one of their gyros or if you are looking to save a few dollars try one of their deals maybe even the spaghetti buffet. read more

ordered latino burger(patty has cilantro, bell papers and tasted like it had a touch of salsa), fries + drink = $7(it was a combo deal). burger was pretty big -- maybe 1/2 lb and was fairly tasty(tomatoes/lettuce were of decent quality). fries are good like everybody else says. they usually play sports on their flat mounted TVs -- service is pretty friendly and they bring it to you which is always a plus. i would normally give it 4 stars, but they also have large ketchup disposable dip containers + large array of A1, worcestershire sauce, tobasco, peppercinis which really sold me cause i'm a condiment guy. read more

After reading some really bad reviews I thought I give it try one more time to see how true they were. I ordered the beef nachos and they were the worst nachos ever, it was extremely salty laced with season salt which I never heard of. No guacamole was added after the counter person stated there was and the beans were definitely can beans and the beef was indescribable. We came here on this hot day so we could eat and relax with good air conditioning. It was alright for a while, but then they decided to turn of the AC. We were literally dying while eating. A lot of people came in and just left because it was too hot to be inside and eat. read more

An utter disappointment! People say that over time, the food change. It's sad to say that the foods at Fantastic Grill not only failed, but the service has also hit bottom. Found hairs and flies in my salad. Requested they take the salad off my plate. Took them 30 mins! Really?!! My companion was finished by then. When asked frequently why it's taking so long, they replied back that it will be out shortly. Apparently, they attempted to make a new one, but I didn't ask for a new plate, just to get that nasty salad off my plate. It would be nice if I knew they were remaking it. But 30 mins passed n still no new plate. Finally got fed up n went to the front to request a refund n leave. The cashier said no. Wtf?!!! They said they finished making it and put it in the to go box. I said I didnt want that n I did not specify them to make a new plate. They said they made it anyway n that I hv to pay for it. Furious! So I left in a horrible mood n hungry. That's the worst situation to b in at a restaurant! To leave hungry n furious! The place is under new ownership. The website doesn't work for online orders over two weeks now. The manager or owner is rude. Had to reorder all the food in person after the website sent me a confirmation email. The prices online and the menus are not the same as in the Restaurant,no surprise they are higher. As I walked into this place. I was surprised at how spacious it was. Maybe it was due to the fact that there weren't many customers inside. I decided to go there since it was right off the freeway and I was hungry. I saw a bunch of workers lounging around. Five minutes later, they asked if I was ready to order. Good thing they had ESPN on otherwise I would've walked away. I ordered the burger special. It cost $7.00. For $7.00 you would expect a tasty burger. However, I was disappointed. It was ok.
