I really love farmer boys but this one really sucks. On Sunday I was given a meal that contained raw chicken when I called I was given a hassle and told I had to come back same day ( makes no sense every other farmer boys puts your name in the book because you know most customers have lives) I was on my way to work so this was not going to work for me. I spoke to the manager and was told to bring my receipt and my meal would be replaced. Today I go to pick it up I'm told I have to have my receipt once again, hand it to them, then I'm handed only chicken tenders, "where is my meal?" I ask them I am rudely told by GLORIA the shift manager that I only get the chicken. She proceeds to call my rude and say I can just leave instead of hearing me out. So go to another local farmer boys where the managers are not disrespectful. The customer is always right but not according to RUDE GLORIA. read more

This review is regarding my experience with the Chicken Cobb Salad. I go (or used to go) to this place regularly due to the proximity from my office and a couple of weeks ago, I purchased a salad and the chicken was very hard. I took a second bite just to see if maybe it was just a 'bone' left on the chicken and all of it was hard/rubbery. It was not a good experience, to say the least. I went back the next day purchased something else via the drive thru and told the cashier and she didn't really say anything. I wasn't looking for free food, I had already paid for my order, but was expecting some consideration. I don't think I can go back, I think of that raw chicken all the time . I found a new place about a mile away, on Eucalyptus (Bravo CA) that has a much better salad. That is my new lunch place now. Please check your chicken before you drive off. read more

First time at a farmer boys and I thought it was pretty decent for fast food. This location seems to be very clean and follow COVID and social distancing. We ordered one of the specialty burgers they had which was basically a bacon cheeseburger with barbecue sauce and it was pretty good. We also ordered the fish and chips that came with french fries. I didn't really like the fish and chips, I felt like they could've been cooked a little bit longer. One thing that I did like was it really good ranch dressing, which leads me to believe I need to come back here and try a good old salad. Also had a chance to look at the breakfast menu and it looks pretty good. I live down in the Long Beach area so I'll visit another location closer to me. I come to this location since it's close to my job. I've come here a few times but today is the last time I'm coming here. I'm so over their ridiculous long waits in drive thru, I literally waited 17 minutes for my food which was only a salad...and keep in mind I'm on my lunch break...it's a 5min drive there and back. I used up my whole lunch waiting for this place.. Second of all, I'm driving back to work and just decide to eat my salad while I drive back, when I come to notice they didn't even put 4oz worth of chicken on it! Customer service sorely lacking. Went 1/2/22 at about 5:45 pm. Slow, not much drive-thru and only 2 tables of customers in the dining room. We ordered, but got to sit back and see the drama. Our food was sent to the other table. It was obviously the case because the server had 3 entress (our order) and there were only 2 diners at that table. She gave them the burgers, but noticed the 3 piece fish and fries were not for that table. At this time the customers also mentioned that they ordered zuchini, but had fries on one plate. While they said this the server looked over at our table flag (15). You could see it on her face that she figured out that she gave them our order. She took the fish dinner away and returned to the kitchen. We could hear some discussion and then some minutes later our 2 bacon burgers were ordered verbally. A few minutes after this, with no explanation she took us the fish dinner. We asked where the burgers were (we knew they were on the grill). She said they'd be out shortly. So we waited in all 20 minutes. My husband ate the fish dinner, which was fine. He had to go up to the counter and ask what was up with the burgers. They shuffled and explained, but nobody said 'sorry' or showed any sympathy. The female manager was there but extended no extra measure of good customer service. After all this, we got the 2 bacon burgers with an extra side of fries. We bite into the burgers and alas, no bacon, but burnt bacon bits. So, we ate some and wondered if they now use bacon bits. They were burnt so we were dissatisfied. Again, my hubby went up and showed the burnt bacon bits. The employees said they were out of bacon and subbed those in. My husband emphasized they were burnt and tasted burnt. Again, no apology. They asked what he wanted to do. He asked for a refund and the employee said,"for the whole ticket?". My hubby requested just for the burgers. Still no sorry. Still no simple sorry, no special apology no nothing. We left, and they didn't even acknowledge us. This was my birthday dinner and we left so disgruntled. Do you not train employees or managers for customer service? I and my hubby have been in the food service industry and know how to address these mistakes. How about, honesty, polite and sincere apologies and acknowledging the problem and solving it (right when the server noticed what she did and again when they tried to appease us with burnt bacon bits, and when we had to check at the counter for our food?). We have gone to this location as well as others for family and work and now....I can't see that happening with any confidence or excitement. read more

Waited over an hour for all of our food to arive, 4 meals for 4 people, each meal came one at a time and roughly a half hour in between....and each meal was cold! Sad thing is these meals were free from a previous visit where the same thing had happened. This time all they offered was 15% off. Not to mention the food was pathetic at best. Since when did Farmer Boys remove the kids meal grill cheese? Why on earth would they take it off their menu and literally REFUSE to make it? Mang at this location flat out said they only have a parm crusted grill cheese and by law, they cannot make it another way. SERIOUSLY? Pretty funny cause the Woodcrest mang says every Farmer Boys will make old menu items as long as they have ingredients. My mom enjoyed her BLT sandwich on their white bread and my son enjoyed his cheese burger with the American slice cheese. So...been to this place before. Had some issues before, but here I was at farmer boys again. Ordered 2 bacon turkey melts and asked for NO mayo. Also ordered some chili cheese fries. First off, this place takes forever. I get my food, get home, damn sandwiches have mayo, both of them!! To make it worse, NO damn bacon in either one!!! Also, no cheese on chili cheese fries!! Couldn't go back to the store. We had to be somewhere soon. We ended up trying to wipe the mayo off but just couldn't enjoy our $9+ sandwiches. Do better farmer boys!! It's not that hard!! read more

As good as farmer boys gets, in my opinion. I enjoy Farmer Boys, and I've stopped in and eaten inside quite few in my area. Like most, this place is clean, people behind the counter a friendly and willing to help. Food comes out in a reasonable time and is exactly what I expect. It looks good and tastes good. This trip I ordered my faves- farmers club sandwich and a bowl of their chili (which I had been craving at the time). The foods a little bit pricier than you'd expect for a regional chain but, once again, this isn't my first Farmer Boys trip and I knew what to expect. Had stopped on the way home after 9:00. Daphney was the front counter attendant, and I believe Omar was manager on duty they were both very friendly warm greeting. We were Leary of going in to a restaurant after 9:00, but they were open till 11:00 so we did , and they did not disappoint. Food was served fresh and hot, with a smile . Manager checked in to see if we were ok. They were keeping busy but we didn't feel like a burden. This was my first time coming to this farmer boys and my last I ordered a chop Cobb salad with no bacon and no cheese they didn't put the cheese but they gave me the bacon and no tomatoes and no egg so I had to give my husband my egg that I bought on the side for my Caesars salad because they didn't put the egg and his salad. That was $31.24 I could've saved in my pocket. When I first get there they tell me it's a 15 minute wait so therefore you rushed making my salads and didn't prepare it right. read more

Worst Farmer Boys around. I politely asked to add grilled onions to a grilled cheese sandwich and they rudely said it wasn't possible. They made it seem like I was asking for the world. Thought I would visit this place again to see if my experience would be better from some years ago. Ordered a sourdough chicken avocado combo. Sandwich was good. The onion rings I got were ridiculously soggy and really inedible. To top it off, when the drive through attendant asked me if I needed anything to go with my meal, I asked for ranch. This location seems to never work well under pressure or should I say lunch time. Drove in today not a big deal waiting in the drive through lane, but when you come up to the speaker to place your order you can definitely tell the person on the other end is not in the best mood!! There are many bad reviews here but I just wanted to say I never had a bad experience. The food is always fresh as well as the coffee. Most importantly the person working the window always has a positive spirit. I like their fries, shakes, and burgers. I just tried their breakfast burritos- they taste better without cheese and they are a bit small for the price. I understand that Farmer Boys makes food fresh and you are in the drive-through for a long time. I was the only car and I was in line for 15 to 20 minutes for one thing. A bacon breakfast burrito with no salsa. When I got to work it was a sausage breakfast burrito with salsa. It took them 20 minutes to get my order the exact opposite of what I ordered. Came for a small drink total was 2.49. I gave the cashier 3 dollars and I said give me a second I'm grabbing the exact change for you. I love the food at all Farmer Boys and this location does not disappoint in taste....HOWEVER, the drive thru wait at this particular location is ridiculous! I know that they take a little longer then your average fast food, I've gone to several different locations, and usually wait about 15 minutes roughly. This location though? 25-50minutes! How crazy is that?! The one time I waited 50 minutes there were 3 cars in front of me but that's still crazy. This is by far one of the worst experiences I have had a Farmer Boys location. They served burnt onion rings and actually boxed it up to go and served it. The location puts no care or thought into customer orders. I would not recommend this location. This location is always slow so expect to be waiting for your food for 40 minutes. Then they will also forget the utensils, sauce and maybe an item or two. If you can make it to another location- do it. The drive thru here is twice as bad as the wait inside. read more

Things are crazy right now with Covid. I had a long day with some friends and had a trailer attached to our truck. Due to the hour they had a sign on the door that dine in was closed but the drive thru was open however due to our trailer we wouldn't fit. We knocked and the staff was nice enough to let us come inside to order to go. The manager, arshawn, went the extra step to come and greet us and personally take our order. Everyone was incredibly kind and gracious and just wonderful. The food was also fantastic. read more

In order to be able to somewhat understand our frustration, please refer to prior reviews as well. We are on a stay-cation and decided to go on a fast food dinner binge. The last stop, which I strongly voted against, happened to be this Farmer Boys location because the BF wanted fried zucchini and this was the only 24 hour drive thru. I reminded him of the last few times we ordered zucchini and they were extremely soggy due to being overcooked. This appears to be the same cook or the same team as we tend to be out and about around the same time. He wanted to give it another try since it had been a few months and the corporate office messaged me after the previous review that they will be addressing the complaint with the management of this location to prevent further incidents. We generally do not drive all the way back to return anything after returning home, but tonight was different. I have soggy remnants of fried zucchini on the floormat of my car and my driveway. The zucchini was so overcooked that they fell right through both the wrapping paper and bag and fell splat. We drove the 12 minutes to return them. I was asked for my receipt prior to getting my money back. The cook, who does not appear to understand English or have any awareness, looked confused and irritated. Maybe he does not know how fried zucchini is supposed to taste. The rest of our food from other places grew cold. So much for our dinner binge. I highly doubt that I will lose the next vote. And I got their 3 egg breakfast with baccccoooonnnn (I think my heart is wrapped in bacon with all the bacon I eat...). It was really good. Freaking skip IHOP in the Mission Grove Plaza and come to Farmer Boys to get your breakfast fix. They also have super bomb breakfast burritos.
