Customer service is the foundation of any business, and this place failed completely. My wife and I had an awful experience tonight. Yes, it's Christmas, but if a business chooses to stay open, staff should act professionally, not rude and dismissive. All I asked for was a receipt I forgot to grab after paying. Instead of helping, the front counter employee immediately said it was "in the trash" and refused to even check the system. No effort. No courtesy. Just attitude. That level of behavior is unacceptable. Jobs are not handed out freely, and when someone clearly doesn't want to be there, it shows. Management seriously needs to rethink who they have representing their business, because this kind of service drives customers away. read more

Save your hard earned money and visit another location. Update response to Halal: To be clear your representative at the counter did not state the order was a platter which is defined as including rice and beans. She stated this was the cost of two al la carte tacos! Also using the excuse of "Everything going up" is inaccurate and impossible to know as a fact! The shells are cooked to perfection and the meat is incredibly flavorful. The Consome is flavorful and and is a must when eating tacos. The staff here is friendly and very helpful. They have so many options to choose from but the Tacos are a must! I want to go back and try other items but I don't know if I can leave without the delicious Tacos! Very disappointed! I feel ripped off. The beef burgers we got were nothing like advertised! The cook doesn't know what he's doing. I paid over $30 for two cheeseburger combos and we got crap that is worse than an average fast food restaurant. For $17 per combo, the meat should be fresh, not from frozen. The meat should be seasoned too. They just tried to cover it with their sauce. It didn't help! No onions, hardly any lettuce... The only thing good was the hamburger buns. In addition, the fries were soggy and not made fresh. And lastly... the customer service is a joke. The lady hung the phone up on me when I asked a question before ordering. I've heard of this place but just haven't had the opportunity to stop in. The fact that is stays open late was a big plus, especially since good quality food places close early. I needed something that offered a variety of food late night that wasn't fast food. The cashier guy was so nice. He was cleaning the floors before almost closing and still welcomed us in. We ordered to go and just from the time of us ordering about 3 different sets of customers came in to get food which is a good sign. I just wish I would have tried this place sooner. The great atmosphere, aesthetics of Halloween and how it all ties down with the food and services it has. The service is fast and amazing with how to order from the tablet or to actually ordering at the counter. They pay attention to detail when it comes to ordering your food to bring out your food to your table. They all sorts of varieties when it comes to the drinks food and even the treats. They greet you with a smile when you order at the counter and make you feel super welcome and greet you with at smile. I would highly recommend them to come out here and check it out. Heard a lot about this place. TBH IMO it was overhyped, packed and the cashier paid no mind to us at all. When she finally did tend to us, she acted as if we were burdening her. We called shortly after leaving to ask a question regarding one of the ingredients in my husbands meal (they were too busy with customers at the time for us to ask while there) and the same attitude they had in the restaurant was multiplied on the phone. Not sure if the employees are overworked, understaffed, underpaid or all the above but they definitely showed that they either didn't want to be there or just hate their jobs overall. We ordered and paid for several items on the restaurant's website. When I picked up the order the cashiers told me they didn't have the dessert we ordered and offered other options. I didn't want to get a different item. SHE REFUSED TO REFUND THE MONEY I PAID ON THE RESTAURANT WEBSITE FOR THE ITEM THEY DID NOT HAVE. She told me if I didn't pick a different item, I had to take it up with the third party vendor they use to process payments on their website. She did not give me any information to request my refund from this "third party vendor". My daughter picked another item because she is shy and hates when I make a scene. I HATE CORPORATE THIEVES and can get heated when businesses scam their customers. A day or so later, the restaurant sent a survey about my experience. I gave a low rating and got text asking what happened. I responded with what happened and received a text basically saying "Sorry we will talk to them about that". My wife and I happened to be in Downey and were hungry. I had heard good things about Fatima's Grill on Tik Tok. Website looks very well done. But this Fatima's Grill is more of a "hole in the wall" spot despite it being a small franchise chain. It is very interesting inside with lots of pictures, street signs, and license plates from around the world. You do have to order off a kiosk. And the diversity of the menu is a bit overwhelming. I recommend previewing the menu online before coming. They offer Mexican and Halal food, and they mix the two styles, then add American classics into the mix. I ended up getting a Philly Cheesesteak taco and a rice bean and cheese burrito. The Philly Cheesesteak Taco was a-mazing! Beefy cheesy melty flavor bomb. The rice bean and cheese burrito was sub par. Rice seemed store bought and the beans were just ok. Anytime I go to a new Mexican spot an always get a rice bean and cheese burrito and if it's good you know the rest will be good too. So for me, the taco was sooooo good I'm going to come back and order something different. But if this was just a Mexican joint I'd likely not come back. I ended up giving this place 4 Stars because of the potential and because the kid working the counter and bringing out our food was really friendly and a hard worker.
