Feisty Fish Poke is officially my favorite food truck, and the best poke I've had in Los Angeles! The owner Jeff is friendly, personable, & knowledgable, and everything seems extremely clean and fresh. I also liked their branding - great color choices, and for The Venice Fest, they had blow up palm tree decor. The Ponzu Scheme Poke Bowl ($20) is absolutely delicious! It comes with yuzu ponzu marinated yellowfin tuna, and all poke bowls come with seaweed salad, cucumber, and fluffy rice. The yellowfin tuna tasted extremely fresh and had the perfect texture, and I loved how the refreshing chilled poke paired with the warm rice. Stopped by this place outta convenience while I was down in Culver City... never seen it before, and probably won't get another chance since I live about 3 or 4 hours away. They're set up in the quad right by TikTok's headquarters--pretty prime spot. The food truck looked clean. Staff seemed friendly. Everything looked up to code and the vibe was chill. But I did notice the drinks on display were kinda faded... not the most appetizing thing to see when you're tryin to get excited about your lunch. If the owner reads this--swap those out, man. It'd help a lot with presentation. I got a poke bowl that sounded good on paper, but honestly... it was just okay. Fish tasted fine, nothing sketchy, but it just didn't quite land the way I hoped. Could be my own personal taste though, so don't let that stop you from tryin it for yourself... I'm givin it 3 stars. Not bad. Not great. Just kinda... middle of the road. Some of that rating is probly just me bein picky. But I didn't wanna set the bar too high for others and have folks walk away disappointed. I recently got to try this spot while attending a music festival and it was delish! I love poké so I'm always looking for new places to enjoy it. The fish was fresh and the spice on the fuego mayo was great. I loved the fresh cucumbers. They were crisp and the seaweed salad was a perfect compliment. I'm very picky with tuna, and this was honestly some of the best I've ever had. Great price and excellent service. I did notice a 1-star review from someone (a lady whose name starts with K), and I'm not sure why she mentioned the receipt. This establishment doesn't issue physical receipts because everything is processed through Apple Pay, so that claim is simply not true. As a business owner myself, I can't stand when people spread misinformation just because they're unhappy. What you put out into the world comes back to you, and negativity only hurts yourself in the end. On a positive note, I want to thank Geoff, the owner. I was going through some personal challenges, and he took the time to share some really meaningful life advice. He is the last person who deserves a negative review from someone who is simply unhappy in life. Highly recommend this place. read more

Very dissapointed with the food that I received. In the picture, it looks like it is two big scoops of fish, along with avacado. However, what I received was a small box, around the size of my palm. There was only one scoop of fish, and no avacado to be found. On top of that, the sauce had a strange chemical taste. The picture and advertising at the food truck makes it seem like you will receive a plate of food, but rather it's just a tiny box! The food was also 20$ for that tiny box. Unfortunately, the low reviews are true. The poke was good, but not even close to "the best" we've ever had. What really got to me was the TINY box you get with basically cheap ingredients - cucumber, seaweed (which Costco sells) and plain white rice. Whatever amount of poke in that little container is NOT WORTH $23. That's is robbery! Not even a few slices of avocado! They tend to be at wealthy, tech bro areas so maybe that's why the ridiculous pricing. We will not be back, I can get a huge thing for about $17 literally anywhere else, and I can pick different, fresh ingredients. You should really look into your unfair pricing, it's just not right. read more

Tried this new poke spot last night at the Siam night market in Hollywood. This spot was delicious. The tuna was fresh and had a great texture. The marinades were flavorful. The ponzu is the classic and it's exactly what you expect. Delicious, citrusy, and fresh. The spicy mayo was delicious. The mayo was actually a little spicy but not overwhelmingly so. This fish is hands down the best poke in Los Angeles. I've had the best poke from Hawaii and San Diego and Feisty Fish Poke definitely holds its own against them 10/10 recommend. The fish comes stocked from "Santa Monica Seafood" so it's pricey and the portion COULD be bigger, but have no doubt that if you love good poke then there isn't another option. read more

I was really surprised to see that one start review from a woman who's name started with K... who said they did print receipts because I can tell you that I personally asked them and they only do digital receipts. I hate when people spread misinformation on here, so I am hoping my review will help others! First of all, the owner is probably one of the nicest business owners I have met in a while, he seemed to genuinely enjoy his job!!! As for the food my husband and I tried a few flavors but the ponzi one was my favorite! I thought it was a great price considering the portion sizes considering I paid $30 for half that in town downtown LA a couple weeks ago! I'm excited to hopefully see you back in Marina del Rey soon! This poke is sooo fresh and delicious! The yellowfin they use is a high sushi grade that makes it taste fresh caught. Reminds me of poke Ive had in Hawaii. I love all the marination options. It had beautiful complex flavors, but was also clean, light and healthy. After eating my bowl I felt so nourished and energized. I could eat this poke everyday! Yummy yum yum! P.S. You don't normally think of Poke coming off a food truck but these guys nailed it. Chef Jeff is the real deal. I spoke to him and how he drew inspiration from Hawaii. He's such a friendly guy, you can't help but love him. I literally had to try every bowl, my favorite being his spicy tuna option. But all of his items are delicious. Their fresh, clean, high quality fish mixed with great ingredients make a refreshing, energizing meal that left me feeling like the best version of myself. The price is great for what you get. It's more than I expected honestly. I usually do need quite a bit of food to keep my energy up, so I didn't really look up the portion size. I ordered a large macadamia nut pancake (comes with 3) with the cream on the side and an order of spam musubi (comes with 4). Highly recommend getting the cream on the side so you can control how much you want on your pancake. It's pretty sweet so I only wanted a light layer. I liked it very much, because it is in the style of the basic macaroni salad -- someone described it as going home to Hawaii for them -- and I think that's what it is. That being said, it does feel like people are kind of pushing through to make sure they grab what they want. We got California rolls, salmon nigiri, and tuna rolls. The California rolls were definitely my favorite! Everything tasted fresh, and the prices were really affordable. Was it worth getting pushed around? Definitely not ! But I can see why people love the hype. Good sushi at a good price!

The shaved ice here is the perfect amount of sweet and very flavorful tried out a small melon, flavored shaved ice added mochi on the side and it was a perfect sweet treat after dinner. The place doesn't have much seating inside one table for two and bar seating along in the window, but they did have a few seats outside which I believe is for the whole plaza. As there are many options on the street for dessert I would say that this is one of the more refreshing choices. I will be back to try other flavors because the quality of their shaved ice is very good.
