    Mango Sticky Rice Bingsoo
    Erin T.

Stopped by for a little sweet treat with my friends right before finals week! The interior was cute with 2 kiosks for ordering, but it's a little small with maybe 2-3 tables and a booth, but there's more seating outside. The staff were also super friendly. We got the Mango Sticky Rice in the smaller size, but there's also a larger size if sharing with more people. Note that they charge an extra $1 for mochi. It was super soft, refreshing, and the fruits were sweet and fresh. Really love how they have unique Korean flavors that you don't find at other places; I'll definitely be back to try the other flavors!

Awesome shaved ice place with delicious flavors! The shaved ice is great - it's not just regular shaved ice with syrups and flavors on it that you'd expect from a lot of other bingsu places, they actually have the flavors embedded into the ice and when they shave it down all they do is add a few toppings and that's it! Simple and effective. The melon-ahh is a good remake of the popular Melona bars. If you've had them growing up, you'll definitely feel the nostalgic hit. Service is average - you're ordering off of a menu and then someone calls you to pick up your order. Limited human interaction... that's a bonus for some and a con for others, so take of that what you will. The inside is small. I can't imagine more than two parties fitting inside at a time. But they're working with what they got. Some seats inside and some outside. Overall, good shaved ice, would come again.

I've never been a fan of shaved ice but this place has shown me that it's only because I've never had Korean shaved ice. This stuff is fantastic. The key is that they aren't shaving straight ice but in fact a creamy block that gives the whole dish a melt in your mouth, milky texture that is both flavorful and delicate. It's great. I've come a few times here since they're located around the corner from my office and I couldn't tell you which flavor is my favorite. The horchata taste like Cinnamon Toast Crunch and the fruity pebbles tastes like...well...the breakfasts I grew up eating. The strawberry flavor is also perfectly creamy and sweet. I really don't think you can go wrong. You order yourself on a single screen (I think it would be better if they had a 2nd) and the employees do an amazing job of cranking orders out. Even if they're busy you won't have to wait long for your meal to come out. It really only took a couple bites to realize I am an instant fan of Korean Ice Co. I will absolutely be back again and again especially on warm summer days. It's a perfect delicious but not heavy treat to beat the Southern California heat.

Mixed experiences. I've come here twice. The first time, I got the mango, and the second time, strawberry. Mango was much better than strawberry. I liked that they had real mango on the side, and some black sesame -- a wonderful touch! The description says that it comes with a strawberry, but more like a slice of strawberry. The second time, I was really disappointed with the strawberry. The ice was lackluster in flavor, graham cracker adds some crunch and texture, but I think that it needed some fresh strawberries or fruit. It came with a thin sliver of strawberry on top... and tasted moldy!? I still can't get the moldy, musty taste out of my mouth! Yuck!? Ok, I see why the mango is a fan favorite and the strawberry isn't.

Was so excited to hear that a bingsu spot opened in Sawtelle! You order at the kiosks and they'll call out your order when it's ready. They offer both single sizes or larger sizes and they have multiple flavors to pick from. They also have cute merch! We tried the mango sticky ice shaved ice which was super refreshing, but I felt like it could have been a bit milker/creamier. It comes with a side of mochi and I liked the addition of black sesame as a topping too! It's a small shop but there's both indoor and outdoor seating. Their spoons change color from white to blue which was actually soo cool!

I really wanted to love this place but it just cannot be compared to the golden standard, oakobing. I think the milkier flavors are better than the fruit ones. The horchata was probably the best flavor that I've tried so far. I thought the mango and strawberry ones were slightly icy? Service is very friendly and there are ample seats. I think I will keep trying the different flavors and report back.

Loveeee this new shaved ice spot in sawtelle!! The mango one is sooooo refreshing and delicious! Love the mochi in it as well. Also kinda fun with the color changing spoons haha they do have a small area for seatings but the area is always packed on the weekends.

Went here for dessert with family! Got the mango sticky rice and cookies n cream, both in single size which was enough for 4 people to share :) We also ordered a side of mochi (highly recommend, it was very soft)! There was also indoor and outdoor seating.

I'm so glad I got to visit this place!! They're fairly new and in a prime location. Service was quick and easy and it's quite literally the perfect sweet treat. I ordered the mango sticky rice shaved ice with mochi on the side and loved it! It was the perfect amount of sweetness (esp with the condensed milk) and it was overall a super refreshing dessert. Their menu has such good flavors. I'll definitely be trying the melon next!

Large, meant for 2 people Mango and good! 9/10

The product is simple and tastes great! Although it's more expensive than you might think. But overall a very good experience with fresh tasting ingredients. I love the texture of their shaved ice. Really sets the benchmark! We tried the mango and I really enjoyed it. Though the picture of the product on the ordering screen made it seem a lot bigger than when the product came out. Not a big deal but did make me do a double take at first. The large is more than enough for two people.

Newest dessert place on Sawtelle. We tried the cereal and mango bingsu and the consistency and flavor was more similar to Chinese shaved ice in that it was icy and not as creamy as other bingu places. Lots of seating inside and outside.

    Jeffery N.

Nice staff and nice spot. I do wish they kept the out door seating cleaner. Looks like they haven't been cleaned in months. As for the ice it's pretty nice. It has a different ice layered/sheet texture. As for the flavor, I want the biggest fan of the strawberry, messing just not for me but I did find the addition of the crumbs and mochi to be nice!

    Farrah C.

Grateful that there is a Korean shaved ice spot nearby! The owner was very kind and attentive as he ensured our experience was the best. Their attention to detail is what makes this spot stand out. The strawberry bingsu was my personal favorite as its texture was nothing like I have tried before with multiple layers and not overwhelming. It differed from the mango and milk based one that we tried. The mango is labeled as mango sticky, but there isn't a topping or flavor that really contributes to that, and was also a bit sweet. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch as a topping was enjoyable and unique! They validate for 30 minutes for the parking lot underneath, so if you plan to stay longer I'd recommend parking elsewhere! Sweetcane was originally located here and the effort to elevate the environment is very apparent as it's simple yet clean. Seating is limited to smaller groups, so if you do come with more than 4 it may be harder to sit all together inside or outside :)

I walked into a casual, colorful space with a laid-back atmosphere that fits the menu perfectly, the kind of place where the focus stays on the dessert rather than the decor. The shop feels unpretentious and welcoming, with a steady stream of customers coming through that speaks to its reputation in the area. The shave ice is what makes the place stand out. The ice is exceptionally fine and fluffy, creating that soft texture that melts almost immediately instead of feeling crunchy or packed down. I tried a few different flavor combinations, and what stood out most was that the syrups actually tasted like the fruits they were supposed to represent rather than tasting overly artificial or one-dimensional. The flavors are well balanced and the ice itself is the right consistency to absorb the syrups without turning into a watery mess halfway through. Part of the appeal is how customizable everything is. I kept it simple with a few syrups, but the menu also offers more elaborate builds with additions like condensed milk, Dole Whip, ice cream, or boba. The portions are generous, and even the smaller sizes felt substantial. If you are trying it for the first time, starting with one of the signature creations before building your own is a good way to get a sense of what the shop does best, since they showcase the menu particularly well. The staff were friendly and patient while I navigated the menu, which is especially helpful given the number of options available. They answered questions without pressure and made the decision easier when faced with the longer list of syrups and toppings. Combined with the relaxed atmosphere and quality of the desserts, Brian's feels less like a quick dessert stop and more like a place worth seeking out specifically. For anyone craving authentic Hawaiian-style shave ice in Los Angeles, it is one of the easier recommendations in the area. When you want a dessert that transports you somewhere else, it delivers.

Tsujita LA Artisan Noodles is a Japanese ramen spot best known for its tsukemen, a dipping ramen…read morestyle that focuses on the contrast between thick noodles and a concentrated broth. We walked into a casual and straightforward setup that fits the style of dining well, with the focus staying on the noodles rather than the atmosphere. The interior is functional and unpretentious, the kind of place where the food does the talking and the decor stays out of the way. It has become a popular destination for anyone looking for a more traditional ramen experience with a stronger emphasis on noodle texture and broth. The main reason to visit is the signature tsukemen, and that is where Tsujita really stands out. The noodles are thick, chewy, and served separately from the dipping broth, allowing you to control how much flavor you get with each bite. The broth is rich and concentrated, packed with savory depth from the pork and seafood flavors that build with each dip. The combination of the springy noodles with the thick dipping sauce creates a satisfying texture that feels very different from a typical bowl of ramen. Adding the toppings like chashu and soft boiled egg makes the bowl feel more complete, especially since the noodles themselves are the main focus. The chashu slices are tender and well seasoned, and the egg adds a creamy richness that balances the intensity of the dipping sauce. One of the things that makes the experience interesting is how the flavor changes throughout the meal. The broth starts off bold and intense, but small additions like the provided citrus help brighten things up and cut through the richness. That shift gives the dish a lighter finish without taking away from the deep flavors that make the tsukemen memorable. The citrus addition is a thoughtful touch, offering a way to reset the palate midway through and keeping the bowl from feeling monotonous. The chashu option is also worth considering because the extra meat adds another layer of richness and pairs well with the noodles, giving the meal a more substantial feel. The biggest thing to keep in mind is that Tsujita can get busy, and waits are common during peak hours. Seating is limited, so timing your visit outside of the busiest meal periods can make the experience smoother. The staff handle the flow efficiently, and despite the line, the service remains focused on getting bowls out without unnecessary delay. The space itself is tight, but the turnover moves quickly enough that the wait does not feel endless. Despite the wait, the quality of the noodles and broth make it easy to understand why it has become such a well-known ramen destination. Tsujita LA Artisan Noodles is a place that does one thing extremely well. The combination of chewy noodles, deeply flavored dipping broth, and careful preparation makes it stand out from standard ramen shops. If you enjoy ramen and want to try a different style, the tsukemen here is the dish to order, delivering a meal that feels both intentional and deeply satisfying.
