Who wouldn't want fresh tea on a warm day? I came here because I was in the mood for a delicious fresh fruit tea and luckily this place was right around the corner from the mall. I ordered the citrus Lord, which was the lemon and orange and a jasmine tea and I don't like overly sweet drinks, so I did ask the cashier for his recommendation for sweetness level, and he said 75%. When I took the first sip of my drink, my drink was way too sour, but thankfully the barista offered to sweeten it up a bit to balance out the sour flavor and once he did that my drink was perfect. I will definitely be back to try other drinks. Parking is a little bit limited but free and they do have cloud pancakes on their menu so I'll definitely be back to try one of those.
This place is hands down a must-try boba shop. My husband and I always order from here through Uber Eats, and we finally decided to visit in person. Let me tell you ,every time we get their drinks, it's always a hit! Their boba teas aren't overly sweet. They make them just sweet enough so you can enjoy them without worrying about too much sugar, and you can adjust the sweetness level to your liking. I love the atmosphere of this place ,very cozy and spacious too. It's perfect for hanging out with a group of friends or a solo date if that's more your vibe. I haven't tried their desserts yet, but I definitely plan to next time I stop by for boba. The service is very quick, and the workers are really friendly as well. Amazing Drink & Amazing Customer Service. I arrived but my drink was not ready when it quoted me 5 mins. I waited for a minute but I had to move my car closer bc I had thought my drink would be quick pick-up. I told the guy working, that I was waiting on my drink. He was so calm, polite and kindly let me know they have not worked on it but to give him 5 mins to make it. When I went outside to move my car closer, he noticed me and walked out to my car to give me my drink. He apologized for the wait and thanked me for understanding. I was not expecting him to come out at all with my beverage, so I really am amazed on the customer service on his end. It was 1000% professional and kind of someone to do! Now, the drink I have never ordered. I normally order Dirty Creme Brulee Boba but today I decided to try their Dirty Taro Milk Tea. It DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I absolutely loved it! It's been a while since my last review and since I was in the area, I decided to stop in and get the dirty crème brûlée boba w tea. I initially went to the website to place an order and had options such as DoorDash, caviar, GrubHub, etc. I chose DoorDash, but when I arrived, my order had been canceled even though the cashier at the location says they always confirm. They did not see my order and it showed that it had been canceled and blamed it on DoorDash. Honestly, I don't even know what happened so I had to re-order while I was in the location. The drink tasted good. I asked for less sweet and more ice. I still think it's not enough ice in my opinion. The Boba tasted fresh. The location appeared clean. And the service was friendly. It's definitely a once in a while treat cause I think the drink was almost 8 dollars overall. It's not something I would have every single day.
Such a solid boba spot and they've been around for a while! I went in the evening and the boba was still a really soft and nice texture, which is great because some places can be really hit or miss when it comes to evening time. The milk tea flavor was also not water down or overly saturated with just milk and I had a really nice and rich flavor. The interior of the shop is pretty big and there are plenty of tables for studying or just hanging out with friends. Always a great experience when I come here!
Stopped by Feng Cha for some boba! I got the boba milk tea 50% sweet. It was on the sweeter side so I think 25-30% would have been perfect. Boba was chewy and delicious. I liked how strong the tea flavor was. Ordering was easy. You can place a mobile order or order in store. Inside the store is pretty cute with decorations. Parking can be a bit challenging here since it's in a shared small plaza.
Feng Cha provides an artsy / trendy atmosphere despite being a hole in the wall Tea spot in the corner of a busy plaza. They use good quality tea that is noticeable in their beverages. The boba is soft and chewy and was a great addition to both the Strawberry Overload and Mango Green Tea. The store was empty when I came in. I was welcomed into the store and helped by a nice employee that made my drinks quickly and even brought them out to where I was sitting despite being able to just call out my order being ready. There is plenty of seating inside and overall would be a great place to hang out. There is a decent amount of parking in the lot and I will definitely be back!
Feng Cha in California is a lot different than in other states in my opinion. meaning it tastes a lot better haha. the Dirty Boba is always a staple when going to any Feng Cha and this location did not disappoint. the location was in a small shopping area and parking is limited depending on when you head there. workers were very nice and the layout of the entire shop was good. Will definitely come back here when I'm in the area.
Extremely fast and friendly service. It was not busy at all on a Sunday late afternoon. The drinks are fairly priced and tasted good. You're able to adjust sweetness level of the drinks according to your personal taste as well which is nice. Decent parking available but limited during rush hours. The interior design of the place is modern and cute. Would come again to try other drinks on their menu.
Overall, the milk tea was good, but a bit on the creamy side. I would say the milk tea was fair, but the matcha love dessert was a bit disappointing. The green tea pocky sticks were a good addition, but the cake was small and had a circular hole in it. It was also a bit more on the dense side and not as fluffy as I had hoped. That said it was spongy and the green tea sauce on top was tasty. The flavor of the green tea was authentic and not artificial tasting. The ambiance is nice with mini lavender plants on top of the tables. However, the music is loud and doesn't set up a peaceful cafe experience if that's what you're looking for. Parking is terrible and it's difficult to find a spot because there aren't many to begin with and there are several businesses (including restaurants) located in that same plaza with customers vying for spots.
Great boba shop. No powdered drink mixes here! We had the Earl Grey Milk Tea which uses steeped to order tea. The Dirty Boba - no tea, lactose friendly milk based, brown sugar drink with a fantastic cheese foam. Mango fantasy which is a super refreshing blended mango drink with coconut milk, grapefruit chunks and sago (mini tapioca). Every drink was quality and delicious.
I'm in from Chicago visiting my college aged daughter, so we stopped in at Feng Cha for my first boba tea! She ordered the dirty boba (4/5) and I liked it! The dirty part is caramel, so it's pretty sweet (though you can adjust the amount of sugar). But I didn't like the sensation of the boba coming through my straw. I decided to go with the strawberry breeze (3.5/5) which reminded me of a strawberry jello drink : ) I probably wouldn't choose to go here on my own, but a refreshing change of pace with my daughter. Best boba spot!! Def my go to! I try to venture off and go to other Boba spots, but I always just land here... Consistently, great teas, quality desserts, and good prices. The staff is super friendly as well. My go to is the crème brûlée, dirty Boba, which is a nice combination of whole milk, brown sugar, Boba, cheese foam, and crème brûlée topping. I also enjoyed their desserts. Especially the strawberry princess with sponge cake, cheese, foam, and fresh strawberry purée. Good! Came here to try their matcha cheese foam. I got the jasmine green tea with matcha foam, half sweet less ice. My husband got the peach oolong, half sweet less ice. Both drinks were good in taste, light and refreshing. Tea flavor not super strong though. I did like how the drinks were not too sweet which is amazing. I love the interior aesthetic of Feng Cha. The drink prices begin at $4 for basic tea without any add-ons. We ordered Citrus Lord ($5.25) and Peach Oolong ($4). There was only one size option for these, and it seemed like a large. The two drinks we ordered were good, but I don't think the Citrus Lord is worth the price. The tea flavor here is not super strong, but I can tell there is a tea flavor in it. I expected Peach Oolong to have a stronger tea flavor, but it didn't. Overall, I recommend checking this place out, especially if you're in the area. However, I wouldn't go out of my way for Feng Cha. read more

Came here on a Saturday evening and there was no line. The line moves quickly either way. Staff here are very helpful when you ask questions about the tea. I wanted to get a milk tea so I got a classic milk tea with boba and half sugar. I loved the strength of the tea and the sugar level was perfect for me. I would stop by if you're near South Coast Plaza! There is plenty of indoor seating as well and inside is decorated nicely. Parking is tough but there is space given you're not in a rush. read more

Stopped by here before going shopping at south coast plaza. Definitely an aesthetically pleasing boba place! I'm not a huge milk tea/boba person so take my review with a grain of salt but a lot of my friends are and this is where one of them wanted to go. What I am a fan of is Vietnamese coffee so I ordered this which was about $5. It was a big cup and it tasted pretty creamy so it felt like a big serving and worth the price. I got it 25% sweet, which was the perfect amount for me, but wish it had a stronger coffee taste. A friend of mine got the matcha milk tea and I thought it was okay, tasted more like milk than matcha to me and my other friend got the Oreo cheese foam drink. It sounds like a crazy combo, but it works! I liked it and it was my first time trying cheese foam. I liked trying somewhere new, but don't think I'd order the Vietnamese coffee again. read more

I've been here 3 times now, and I've been satisfied every single time. I like to pick from the helpful top ten menu! The matcha breeze was delicious, very creamy, and I finished it in a heartbeat. I'm not one to usually get blended drinks but it was 4.5/5. The mango breeze was once again delicious, but the artificial mango flavor came out a bit too strongly for me; perhaps I'd give it a 3.5/5. At the most recent visit, I got the strawberry overload with 75% sugar and boba which was amazing. I think it's one of the best strawberry teas I've had in a while. Perhaps it's also because of the generous portions of sugary strawberry chunks at the bottom of the cup. A definite 5/5. I'm keeping this boba chain in my top ten list. read more

Feeling bubbly at Feng Cha's cute location in Costa Mesa~ I tried both the coffee milk tea ($5.00) & dirty caffe latte ($5.25). They were both very similar in taste, but the coffee milk tea was a bit sweeter, which I preferred. The dirty caffe latte has brown sugar, so I thought it would be sweeter, but it was actually slightly more bitter. They also have vietnamese coffee & cold brew coffee as part of their new coffee series. The matcha breeze ($5.75) is a blended drink with a rich matcha flavor. The cheese milk foam adds sweetness, but the overall drink is not very sweet at all. I would probably get this again in the summertime! The creme brulee dirty boba ($6.15) is one of their popular drinks and it was my favorite one! This one comes with brown sugar boba and a crispy creme brulee layer at the top. I loved the creaminess of the drink as well as the brown sugar flavor. It was also the perfect sweetness for me - probably the sweetest one of all the drinks that I got. Feng Cha also has 6 different kinds of cakes ($7.00). The cake itself is not flavored and is the same for all, but they have different toppings, like tiramisu, oreo, strawberry, taro chocolate, sea salt pearl, or matcha. I don't think I was a fan of the sea salt topping, but the boba was really good. I enjoyed the matcha cake more for its subtle matcha flavor. They have multiple locations in CA & other states. In SoCal, they can be found in OC or San Diego. The OC location has a free parking lot shared with other stores in the plaza. read more

BOOOBBBBBAAAAAA!!!! I am 110% a sucker for boba. To be honest, I didn't even know boba existed for most of my life (aka I just found out about in maybe 6 years ago), so I definitely have my preferences. The boba here was awesome. It was not hard at all! It was chewy and warm. The drinks here are very unique and fun.. they are full packed with sugar though so expect a sugar headache afterwards.. or hyperness, whichever is you. I went to this location and they were offering a Mango pomelo sago drink. I normally get the mango au lait but I decided to try something new. If you don't like pomelo, I would advise just asking them to take it out because the drink flavor has a strong pomelo taste. Really enjoyed my drinks from here! One of my favorite boba drinks! My fiance and I ordered a Dirty Boba and a Strawberry Breeze. We ordered both of them half sweet with light ice. Both were to die for, but of the two, I LOVED the Dirty Boba. I think it's one of my favorite brown sugar bobas! The boba itself is good (nice and chewy and not hard), but it's the drink here that shines bright! The slightly salty and creamy cheese foam is SO DELICIOUS and just what the drink needs to give it that oomph. Really yummy! The Strawberry Breeze is refreshing and creamy too! It comes with lychee jelly which is very reminiscent of lychee jelly cups I used to have when I was little. Really tasty and the perfect drink to have on a hot summer's day. Both drinks were the PERFECT sweetness level for me at half sweet. I would recommend half sweet to anybody because I feel like I'd get a sugar rush at full sweet. Heard about Feng Cha for its locations up in Northern California, so decided to stop by while on vacation since my boyfriend and I were craving boba at the time and it was the closest one to us! Parking was a little difficult for dinner time on a weekday. The location is located on the inner corner of the plaza however. Inside, the interior is super cute! Lots of great photo opportunities available and there was a lot of indoor seating too. We ordered the Strawberry Overload with 75% sweetness and boba as our topping. I was a bit disappointed seeing that there wasn't as much boba as we expected in the drink (compared to other boba places). The boba was nice and slightly firm though. I love Feng Cha! I stopped in here on a Friday night and was greeted right away by a friendly face! The inside was so clean and had a nice vibe, I was alone or else I would've stayed here and chatted for a while, it's a comfortable place to hang out. Overall solid spot! Sadly, they didn't have the bursting dragonfruit, strawberry overload, or mango breeze available in the middle of the day!! Literally all the ones I came here for...so I went with the overflowing grapefruit. It was refreshing but pretty standard for the price. Would come back next time to try one of their popular fruity drinks. My friend got the peach oolong, which was too artificial for her taste. Although the parking in this tiny, packed plaza is atrocious, the drinks here are good enough that I still went back despite the inconvenience. I've only been here twice but the drinks I got were good both times, and I would love to try their dessert one day (maybe I'll Uber next time). My main qualm besides parking is the fact that it takes so long to get your drink. I went with my sisters both times and for some reason, both times we went they told us that one of our drinks required them to make a fresh batch of something and that it would only take 5 extra min. We ended up waiting over half an hour. I'm not sure what takes so long for them to make our drinks (especially when there weren't that many customers when we went) but I can only assume that whatever they're doing is making good quality drinks. Cute and clean shop. It's located on the corner of a mini plaza. The parking lot is small and seems to always be busy so time your visit right. Dirty Boba ($5/6) - I can beat describe the taste as sweet caramel milk. I ordered 75% sweet and I still could taste the caramel flavor. Anything lower I think would taste more like milk. Boba is soft and chewy. The creme brûlée dirty boba is a few cents more and pretty much a salted cream. read more

Staff is always friendly & service is fast. The "Dirty Boba" is a must try. It's basically brown-sugar boba milk tea w/ cheese foam & creme brulee on top (Yes! They actually blowtorch the sugar!!!) I've also tried their Oreo Cheese milk tea, and it was decent but not as good as the Dirty Boba. First time coming here as my very first time was up in the Bay Area, and I had no idea what was going on. There were booths with Kpop stars photos, stickers, and merchants so I thought... this seems to happen every weekend, but it didn't (phew). That would have stopped me from coming here but glad only happens once in a while. My go to drinks: Kiwi Basil Green Tea and Tiramisu milk foam with oolong tea. They tend to run out of the dragon fruit drink easily, it's a must try if you're into dragon fruits. Parking is shared. Calling all boba fans!!!! This is your place! My daughter and I came here this past Friday to check it out and try it. I must admit it's in a shopping center where parking is a little tricky and small. We had to wait a little to have someone leave and finally be able to park. When you first walk in you get the "Aw" feeling! It's such a nicely decorated and it's clean and big. They have plenty of seating if you choose to sit there. I love that they have some unique varieties along with the classic milk tea. I tried their creme brûlée dirty boba. It has this amazing layer of caramelized creme brûlée on top. I got 50% sweetness and light ice and it was perfection! They were very kind, friendly, and helpful as it was my first time here. They have a rewards system. They take cash or card. For takeout on 6/8/23 We received a $2 off entire order and daughters sent me to pick up drinks for them and use the reward. I found parking with no problem as it was before the businesses in the plaza opened. Our order was: Kiwi Basil Green Tea 100% sweet less ice, Fresh Lemon Black Tea 25% sweet, Matcha Breeze with Cheese Foam 75% sweet (this one is a slush so you can't request less ice) and an Oolong Milk Tea 100% sweet less ice. The rewards system was not functioning properly, but I was given the $2 reward and could use the reward before it expired. While the drinks were being made, I used the restroom as I had been out for a few hours running errands. The restroom is clean with floral arrangements to beautify it. My drinks were ready when I came out. Daughter likes the Kiwi Basil Green Tea more than the Citrus Lord that she had last time. Other daughter thinks that she should have ordered 50% sweet for her fresh lemon black tea but doesn't know if that would make her like the drink more. the drinks were alright, the matcha cake was disappointing imo. the boba was not the right texture and it was not as flavorful as i had hoped it would be. but i understand some people may like desserts less sweet so it may be good for them. indoor was clean and nice, service was good. read more

I was just here Saturday at 5:45 PM and a COCKROACH flew and landed on me. It was about 3 inches long. I wasn't aware it landed on me until my boyfriend pointed it out. I knocked it off of me with my phone and it landed on the floor. The workers seemed relatively unphased and tried to sweep a LIVE COCKROACH into the dust pan. Obviously it ran and I'm not even sure they got it. I am so disgusted. Definitely not worth the drive from Walnut. I'm not even sure I want to drink my drink. Also the boba amounts are not uniform? My boyfriend and I got the same drink and his has way more boba which is weird to me. read more

Hands down the best boba shop in OC! They have the best jasmine green tea, the jasmine is super fragrant and potent!! They also make the BEST taro milk tea super rich and creamy!! Idk what their secret is but it's bomb! Boba is super chewy and yummy. As you can see my photos.. I make a trip to fengcha once a week since the pandemic and I live in Irvine. Worth the trip every time. I always... like 99% of the time I would get their jasmine green tea with cheese foam or matcha foam with crystal boba and 1% I would get taro milk tea with boba. Lol my two favorite drinks here. The best part is they have their own app and you can place your order online and pick up in minutes. Like in minutes.. they're that fast and efficient. If you're a loyalty geek like me, you can earn rewards when you order through their own app or earn Fivestars reward (if you have an account) when you order in person. Super cute interior decor, very clean place to chill with friends. Service is superB. Everyone is so friendly and nice! Oh their matcha love cake is also delicious, not too sweet. A nice little corner location in a small strip mall type. Greeted immediately with the sweet scent of tea and brown sugar. I like this shop because I'm on a low sugar diet and all their teas are brewed and then they add sugar based on your request. I tried another tea shop yesterday and they said they pre-add sugar to their base teas so I just had to leave. I brought 5 kids with me they each went wild with their orders. Staff was really nice and patient and drinks were out in a jiffy. I would Def return the next time I'm down in this area. read more

Do they usually have long line?
Not really, been here couple of times and its not busy at all. And they pretty quick.
Do you have non caffeinated drinks?
Yes, Feng Cha has the breeze series (ice blended drinks) that contain no caffeine. Also, they can make every fruit tea decaf by substituting tea with sparking water!
Can you make the milk teas without sugar?
Yes, we can adjust the sweetness level for all of our drinks from 0% sweet to even extra sweet above 100%!
Do they have dairy free milk substitute?
We use non-dairy creamer for milk teas! We also have almond milk and oatly available for milk alternatives as well!
When is the best time to come in if I want to try their desserts? I always hear about how they run out fast.
Go as early as possible. They do run out fast. I'd say go when they open to get one for sure.
Are you open today and what's the business hours?
Open Every Day From 11am - 9pm. Except For Fridays & Saturdays they close later at 10pm.
Will this location have durian milk foam in the future like their Bay Area locations?
