Who wouldn't want fresh tea on a warm day? I came here because I was in the mood for a delicious fresh fruit tea and luckily this place was right around the corner from the mall. I ordered the citrus Lord, which was the lemon and orange and a jasmine tea and I don't like overly sweet drinks, so I did ask the cashier for his recommendation for sweetness level, and he said 75%. When I took the first sip of my drink, my drink was way too sour, but thankfully the barista offered to sweeten it up a bit to balance out the sour flavor and once he did that my drink was perfect. I will definitely be back to try other drinks. Parking is a little bit limited but free and they do have cloud pancakes on their menu so I'll definitely be back to try one of those.
This place is hands down a must-try boba shop. My husband and I always order from here through Uber Eats, and we finally decided to visit in person. Let me tell you ,every time we get their drinks, it's always a hit! Their boba teas aren't overly sweet. They make them just sweet enough so you can enjoy them without worrying about too much sugar, and you can adjust the sweetness level to your liking. I love the atmosphere of this place ,very cozy and spacious too. It's perfect for hanging out with a group of friends or a solo date if that's more your vibe. I haven't tried their desserts yet, but I definitely plan to next time I stop by for boba. The service is very quick, and the workers are really friendly as well. Amazing Drink & Amazing Customer Service. I arrived but my drink was not ready when it quoted me 5 mins. I waited for a minute but I had to move my car closer bc I had thought my drink would be quick pick-up. I told the guy working, that I was waiting on my drink. He was so calm, polite and kindly let me know they have not worked on it but to give him 5 mins to make it. When I went outside to move my car closer, he noticed me and walked out to my car to give me my drink. He apologized for the wait and thanked me for understanding. I was not expecting him to come out at all with my beverage, so I really am amazed on the customer service on his end. It was 1000% professional and kind of someone to do! Now, the drink I have never ordered. I normally order Dirty Creme Brulee Boba but today I decided to try their Dirty Taro Milk Tea. It DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I absolutely loved it! It's been a while since my last review and since I was in the area, I decided to stop in and get the dirty crème brûlée boba w tea. I initially went to the website to place an order and had options such as DoorDash, caviar, GrubHub, etc. I chose DoorDash, but when I arrived, my order had been canceled even though the cashier at the location says they always confirm. They did not see my order and it showed that it had been canceled and blamed it on DoorDash. Honestly, I don't even know what happened so I had to re-order while I was in the location. The drink tasted good. I asked for less sweet and more ice. I still think it's not enough ice in my opinion. The Boba tasted fresh. The location appeared clean. And the service was friendly. It's definitely a once in a while treat cause I think the drink was almost 8 dollars overall. It's not something I would have every single day.
Such a solid boba spot and they've been around for a while! I went in the evening and the boba was still a really soft and nice texture, which is great because some places can be really hit or miss when it comes to evening time. The milk tea flavor was also not water down or overly saturated with just milk and I had a really nice and rich flavor. The interior of the shop is pretty big and there are plenty of tables for studying or just hanging out with friends. Always a great experience when I come here!
Stopped by Feng Cha for some boba! I got the boba milk tea 50% sweet. It was on the sweeter side so I think 25-30% would have been perfect. Boba was chewy and delicious. I liked how strong the tea flavor was. Ordering was easy. You can place a mobile order or order in store. Inside the store is pretty cute with decorations. Parking can be a bit challenging here since it's in a shared small plaza.
Feng Cha provides an artsy / trendy atmosphere despite being a hole in the wall Tea spot in the corner of a busy plaza. They use good quality tea that is noticeable in their beverages. The boba is soft and chewy and was a great addition to both the Strawberry Overload and Mango Green Tea. The store was empty when I came in. I was welcomed into the store and helped by a nice employee that made my drinks quickly and even brought them out to where I was sitting despite being able to just call out my order being ready. There is plenty of seating inside and overall would be a great place to hang out. There is a decent amount of parking in the lot and I will definitely be back!
Feng Cha in California is a lot different than in other states in my opinion. meaning it tastes a lot better haha. the Dirty Boba is always a staple when going to any Feng Cha and this location did not disappoint. the location was in a small shopping area and parking is limited depending on when you head there. workers were very nice and the layout of the entire shop was good. Will definitely come back here when I'm in the area.
Extremely fast and friendly service. It was not busy at all on a Sunday late afternoon. The drinks are fairly priced and tasted good. You're able to adjust sweetness level of the drinks according to your personal taste as well which is nice. Decent parking available but limited during rush hours. The interior design of the place is modern and cute. Would come again to try other drinks on their menu.
Overall, the milk tea was good, but a bit on the creamy side. I would say the milk tea was fair, but the matcha love dessert was a bit disappointing. The green tea pocky sticks were a good addition, but the cake was small and had a circular hole in it. It was also a bit more on the dense side and not as fluffy as I had hoped. That said it was spongy and the green tea sauce on top was tasty. The flavor of the green tea was authentic and not artificial tasting. The ambiance is nice with mini lavender plants on top of the tables. However, the music is loud and doesn't set up a peaceful cafe experience if that's what you're looking for. Parking is terrible and it's difficult to find a spot because there aren't many to begin with and there are several businesses (including restaurants) located in that same plaza with customers vying for spots.
Great boba shop. No powdered drink mixes here! We had the Earl Grey Milk Tea which uses steeped to order tea. The Dirty Boba - no tea, lactose friendly milk based, brown sugar drink with a fantastic cheese foam. Mango fantasy which is a super refreshing blended mango drink with coconut milk, grapefruit chunks and sago (mini tapioca). Every drink was quality and delicious.
My new favorite drink is this creme brulee dirty boba! It is damn delicious! I usually like everything nice and clean but if dirty boba tastes like this! Make it as dirty as possible. This drink got everything you want in a boba drink. You have cold milk with brown sugar, perfectly cooked boba, creamy cheese foam, and torched sugar on top. The torched sugar gets lost in the drink so every now and then you'll get a taste of crunchy sugar and I like it. It just works! I got mine 50% sweetness and it was great! I ended up getting the large and I drank it all! I couldn't stop drinking it. There so many things on the menu but I'm for sure coming back for more! Longings for my next dirty boba run! read more

This place was so good. Their drinks are very tasty without making you feel bad. They had a lot of Christmas decorations for the holidays which was lovely. They have really good dessert cakes which I tried both the taro and tiramisu. They were the perfect amount of sweetness without being overbearing. We got 4 drinks togo but I decided on the coffee milk tea with 25 percent. Wow that was probably the best coffee milk tea I've had. Service was top notch and the neighborhood around this around felt very safe. Would be back when I'm in the area! read more

Came here after having lunch at Kitikata ramen! So this little boba spot right here carries the most amazing, dirtiest boba ever. They call it The Dirty Boba Creme Brûlée! OMG! It's soooooo good. With salted cheese as well. Sounds weird but it's amazing!! Malea my mouth water just thinking about it. Highly recommended- I would Maybe go less sweet next time, but dayam it was good. They actually creme brûlée it on top! And the little crunchy flakes of the brûlée float to the bottom and you get the crunchy bursts of sugar at the end of your drink. Ooooh so dirty! Sooo good! Feng Cha is one of the few milk tea brands that offer tiramisu foam and this place does not disappoint. I had the black milk tea with tiramisu foam and it was delicious. It came with a sip lid so you can enjoy the silk-like tiramisu foam and the tea at the same time. I definitely recommend it! This store also has a large variety of sweet drinks and desserts you can get. The service was very friendly and informative on how their drinks can be a bit on the sweeter side. So if you don't have a strong sweet tooth, you can always reduce sweetness! Inside the door is a medium sized seating area with limited outlets and free wifi. You can study here, but it can be a bit noisy with a lot of customers! read more

3.5 Stars This is a small cute shop ideally located next to some very good restaurants. We have been here twice. The 1st time we ordered the creme brulee drink and a Jasmine green tea with strawberry. Both were really sweet and the flavor was just AOK. Sugar is cheap these days. The 2nd visit we had the taaro boba which was a lot better. The smalle size run 4.75. The prices here are not cheap. I wish the customer service was better. It is so sterile and even unfriendly. You come in, wait in line, you place your order, they take your money and you go on your way down the road. Even most Starbucks in the drive thru are friendlier than the interactions I get here. Located in an outdoor strip mall with limited parking. Store has stickers to help with social distancing and all staff wore masks and gloves. Sanitizer readily available. Dirt Boba Milk Tea- creamy milk tea with brown sugar boba that was perfectly chewy. Cup was swirled with brown sugar syrup. Got half sweet and it was perfect for me. Wish I got another one! Customizable drinks according to sugar percentage preference, inside toppings such as boba and deserts made of sponge cake with their drizzled flavors of strawberry, matcha, tiramisu, etc. A beautiful Modernist Cafe with plenty of space to feel like you're on a cruise ship having high tea! Drinks were delicious, I tried their dirty coffee with easy ice and oat milk was already included. Paired it with their Matcha desert and it was neither too sweet nor too bland, but rather light, soft and perfect! Their sponge cake reminds me of Japanese pancakes with more of a light cake texture, I don't usually like cakes because they are thick but this sponge cake is very light and perfectly touches on sweet. There are no hot drinks here, so come in prepared for a variety of cold drinks. Great staff and experience. Cross streets are Baker and Bristol, it's in the furthest back space. read more

This place surprised me with how good it is - it is solidly neck to neck in place with Alley but actually wouldn't be surprised if I preferred this place a little more. I've been requesting this place a lot more recently. I enjoy the fact that it's a little less sweet than usual places but still doesn't give up the flavor. I'm not sure how they do that, but it's great. The boba is a yummy brown sugar flavor and nice, chewy texture. The biggest seller for me is that they have cheese foam on top with the toasty caramel... total yum. I like to drink it halfway then mix the foam into the next half - it works. It's so good. Highly recommend but the wait can be long. The parking lot is quite small so I would suggest dropping off someone to wait while you park. They allow only a few people at a time in their store due to COVID regulations. read more

High quality drinks and cakes in OC. You can taste that they only use real fruit and fresh ingredients in their drinks. Highly recommend the Purple Reign yogurt drink if you're a fan of real grape flavor! Also really liked their kiwi basil green tea. The cakes are such a dream too. The chiffon base isn't too sweet, very light and moist, and their sea salt cream amplifies the toppings and makes it extra luxurious. My favourite boba spot - very tidy and chic inside (great for pics!) + perfect amount of seating to make it feel cozy, I usually bring my laptop to do work here. The morning staff & management are always very polite and quick to get your order to you. Andrew specifically is especially helpful and patient when it comes to taking orders; he answers any questions I have about the drinks and makes great recommendations. I never feel rushed at to make a decision at Feng Cha and leave with drinks I'm satisfied with :) The Creme Brulee Dirty Boba or Kiwi Basil Green Tea are my favourites (I recommend 50% sugar), but they all taste (and look) good! Sidenote: I usually don't get tapioca pearls in my boba but I forgot to ask them not to put any in my drink this time but they were so good! Introducing Stop #18 on my Yelp milk tea store adventure- Feng Cha. Feng Cha has a super cute interior and friendly and fast service, which is why I bumped up my rating to 4 Stars. The first time I came by was on a Sunday a little after they opened so there was no wait at all. The second time I dropped in was on a Monday around 11 am also, so again no wait time. Small parking lot that was easy enough to park in since I came during their less busy times, but I imagine the lot would fill up quick closer to lunch or dinner time. I've tried several drinks here so far: 1. Creme Brulee Dirty Boba- I really liked the creme brulee foam. I remember seeing a video posted on their IG showing how they make it, and it looked so cool. And now I know it tastes really good too. The boba was pretty good too with just the right texture and flavor. This drink is obviously pretty decadent, so only order it if you have a serious sweet tooth like me! 2. Oreo Cheese Milk Tea- I didn't like this one. I think I just wasn't a fan of the actual milk tea, which tasted a little weak to me. 3. Taro with Cheese Foam- This was also a No for me. The cheese foam was good but the actual taro milk tea was weak and tasted more like milk than taro. 4. Jasmine Green tea with Matcha foam- I liked this one. I was excited to try their flavored milk foams which isn't something you can find everywhere. The matcha milk foam really did taste like matcha and was pretty interesting. The jasmine green tea was good, and paired well with the matcha foam. (They also have taro milk foam which I would like to try). So based on just the drinks themselves, I probably would have given a 3 or 3.5 Star rating, but because of the store interior which really is pretty awesome, and the great service, I bumped my rating up to 4 Stars. read more
Two visits to Feng Cha and I can say it is ok. It's a cute location in a packed complex. Parking can be a battle. Several people find the most random spots to fit in, but it is a parking spot! First time there, they didn't have any seating. They did have a few booths set up for BTS lovers of the main guy. I'm not in the total know of BTS besides really enjoying their music so I felt out of my typical realm which was really awesome. Everyone seemed so nice, followed mask guidelines, and we had a great experience (5 star worthy) Second time there, the lady at the counter seemed extremely annoyed and had some attitude when we gave our order. Total the opposite of what we experienced before. This time you can see their total decor as the tables and chairs were back in place. Super cute, very Instagram-friendly shop. This experience was meh and we just wanted to not bother the lady at the cash register with our business (2 stars worthy) The dirty creme brulee has been my go-to. However, 100% sweetness is way too sweet. 75% was also too sweet for my friend. It's a good drink, but it's nothing out of this world. If you go, try the dirty creme brulee boba, but adjust it to your sweetness and take your photos. Unfortunately, Feng Cha won't be on my go-to list for boba unless someone else wants to try it out. read more
I found out about Feng Cha thru Instagram and it's all hype. I got the creme brûlée Dirty Boba with Matcha foam and it was SUPER sweet. I've never been here before so I don't usually adjust anything my first time. Boba texture was perfect. The matcha foam was VERY matcha-y and almost bitter. It's super thick and tastes better mixed in. The creme brûlée only makes everything sweeter with that extra sugar on top. The drink itself is just brown sugar syrup with milk. Also, FYI to upgrade your size for creme brûlée drinks, it's an additional $1 not 50¢. read more

Be careful when you order delivery. They got my order wrong twice already. I ordered jasmine milktea with cheesefoam, 30% ice and 50% sweet. I like it less ice because I don't want it water down during delivery (it did). Is it too much to ask? Okay, verdict is up: Feng Cha's milk teas are pretty good. Less ice, 25% sugar, and it's got a great balance between the cold milk and warm tea compared to other boba places in the OC. Tea levels are stronger than at Omomo at the same percentage sweetness, while still being solid in the boba quality. I tried both the basic Taro Milk and the more flavor heavy Oreo Cheese Milk tea and both are sublime. The drinks are rich and doesn't have a watery taste: Taro Milk tea requires shaking but it's extremely smooth and full of flavor. The tea levels are great at 25% and I highly recommend it for anyone willing to go for one of Feng Cha's cheaper option. The more expensive Oreo Cheese is also pretty good with a good balance of tea and milk. IMO it's very rich, even more than the taro milk, and is best enjoyed when you mix with your boba straw, as the container can't be shaken. If I had to compare it to other boba shops in Orange County, it's almost same taste as the Oreo Brulee in Omomo, but slightly richer, which is a high praise. Personally, I think it's a great drink, albeit it's a tad too heavy in cream for me, but that's fine for someone else who likes creamy drinks. The boba itself is really good too. It's softer, less chewy, and melts in your mouth faster than other places with good boba like orobae or sunright, which is also a personal preference but it's definitely pretty good. Price wise it's about the same as every other good spot in Orange County. Also, the aesthetics in the shop are very pleasing. Currently they don't have online ordering but hopefully that changes soon, so the only way to order seems to be through walk ins. So pretty much a good boba spot with good basic and advanced boba drinks, and I'll definitely come here more often. read more

I first heard about this boba tea place when it popped up in my Facebook for an event with Doe Lashes. I missed the event, but thought it would be fun to try out in the future if I was in the Costa Mesa area. I was a bit surprised to discover that it is in the same plaza as Kitakata Ramen. It's known for being a small plaza with minimal parking available. Try to choose a non-peak time to go, or else you'll be circling for a spot. (There are a few less spots now, as some of the restaurants had to spill outside of their establishments for outdoor dining.) Avoid all of the spots for the liquor store as they are serious about towing you. The space is very clean and cute - if I had gone when I was either in college or pre-pandemic, it looks like the kind of space you'd want to go and study in. The staff had clearly marked dots for social distancing and everyone wore masks and used gloves for handling drinks. The gal at the register was very upbeat and friendly. I tried to order the black milk tea with almond milk and boba, but it turns out they had run out of almond milk and Oatly. They do have non-dairy creamer which I chose instead. My drink came out quickly and I took it to go. The cup is sturdy and could be reused or recycled. The tea flavor was very prevalent but I did sense my drink was closer to 30% sweet versus 50% sweet. The pearls helped a bit though. Unfortunately, the non-dairy creamer didn't sit well with me, as it's been bothering my stomach and my throat. While it is a cute spot and the staff are nice, I may or may not come back here. read more

We decided to stop by Feng's tea while waiting for a table at Kitakata as it was super cute and bright inside. The interior is well lit and everything for the drink choice to the marble tables to the music makes it clear as day that it caters toward a Gen-Z audience. Kiwi basil green tea: has the acidity of kiwi included with green tea. I was also pleasantly surprised with the small chunks of fruit and chia seeds in the drink. What made it even better was that the chia seeds were soaked, making for a fun addition that isn't break-your-teeth-off hard. If you don't like your drink uber sweet, I suggest getting this with 50% sweetness. It was a still quite sweet without being too bitter. Citrus w/ lychee jelly: This was a subpar drink and couldn't compare to the drink mentioned above. It was watered down and not very sweet. In fact, the tea itself was pretty bitter with the aftertaste being quite astringent. Otherwise, it comes with orange pulp and the lychee jelly wasn't too sweet. read more

Nice people they are. Creme brûlée dirty boba -boba is chewy and sweet. Fluffy milk ( I can feel the back of my head on fire from the milk @_@. A beautiful tea shop in Costa Mesa. I swing by during the soft opening and there was a long line. The dining room is so pretty. Gold metal chairs and with mirrors on the walls and little indoor plants on the shelves. Too bad it's only take out right now (pandemic). I ordered the oolong cheese foam tea and it was beautiful. The tea wasn't overwhelming and the cheese foam had a slight sweetness that complimented the tea. I always get mine with less sugar cuz it's usually too sweet for me. It was made perfectly. To be honest, I was hoping for a milk tea flavor but it turns out it mainly tasted like caramel and milk and was not a big fan of it. Perhaps I'll try the creme brûlée or the regular milk tea because you can't go wrong with that! Feng Cha Teahouse just opened this past weekend in Costa Mesa by Kitakata Ramen Ban Nai. I think this is my favorite new tea spot! The cafe is a really cute little spot with social distancing measures in place. They are in their soft open so the employees are still getting hands on training. They have a variety of milk and fruit teas on their menu along with desserts. I ordered the small ginger milk tea with less ice and a small taro milk tea with 75% sweet and no ice. I really liked the ginger milk tea which is sweetened with honey and there are little bits of crystallized ginger at the bottom. This drink's sweetness cannot be adjusted but it was really not that sweet but rather perfectly sweetened in my opinion. I also asked about their desserts which are all chiffon cakes. I opted for the sea salt pearl dessert ($5.99) that comes with boba and sea salt cream on top. The boba was the perfect soft texture and I kind of wish I asked for it in my drinks too. Next time I want to try their Creme Brulee dirty boba since someone mentioned that it was the best drink on their menu. I can't wait to come back to check out their other drinks. Do they usually have long line?
Not really, been here couple of times and its not busy at all. And they pretty quick.
Do you have non caffeinated drinks?
Yes, Feng Cha has the breeze series (ice blended drinks) that contain no caffeine. Also, they can make every fruit tea decaf by substituting tea with sparking water!
Can you make the milk teas without sugar?
Yes, we can adjust the sweetness level for all of our drinks from 0% sweet to even extra sweet above 100%!
Do they have dairy free milk substitute?
We use non-dairy creamer for milk teas! We also have almond milk and oatly available for milk alternatives as well!
When is the best time to come in if I want to try their desserts? I always hear about how they run out fast.
Go as early as possible. They do run out fast. I'd say go when they open to get one for sure.
Are you open today and what's the business hours?
Open Every Day From 11am - 9pm. Except For Fridays & Saturdays they close later at 10pm.
Will this location have durian milk foam in the future like their Bay Area locations?
