Anytime Towing picked us up and suggested to tow it to Advanced Truck & Auto. We like to support local businesses, so we said sure. It took about 15 minutes to diagnose the problem of replacing all 6 injectors at the cost of $13,000. We just put $20,000 in repairs in her, so we said no. We took a rental car from Richmond airport to pick up our other truck, in Ocala to come back to get our truck and load. As we were heading up with our other truck, we had to have it towed to our shop in Ocala, FL. After it was fixed, we headed up to get our truck and trailer. They were closed Saturday and Sunday, so we picked it up on Monday. However, we had to pay a storage fee of $200 a day, so we had to pay a total of $1200 just for the storage fee, and pay another 500 to get the broken down truck towed to Doswell truck stop. Please, if you can help it, save yourself from the same nightmare. On a side note, we wanted two of the good tires from the broken down truck to replace two on our other truck. They quoted us a price of $750. Doswell truck stop did it for $35 per tire. Once you go in, look for a hosing!

He expertly loaded the trailer onto the back of their flatbed truck. It was not an easy feat considering half the trailer was almost on the ground and wouldn't roll. About half way through a car swerved onto the shoulder and came within literal inches of killing him and destroying my trailer and his truck. It was terrifying -Richard actually had to jump onto the flatbed to avoid being killed. Nevertheless, Richard loaded it like a total pro and most importantly - what I can't emphasize enough - he cared for my trailer like it was his own. My daughter was coming home for the holiday break from school and I wanted to get her car inspected…read moreso that she can move around freely and legally without having to borrow my car. As much as I adore her, and she is an excellent and safe driver, I don't allow anyone to borrow my vehicle. Her inspection had expired and due to COVID-19 we were not pressed to get it done, especially since she wasn't going anywhere. I knew her car didn't need any work done, because she had a family mechanic look it over before he left town who assured me it would easily pass inspection, unless I ran into a pirate shop. I did a little research and found Staples Mill Auto Care had some decent reviews (outside of Yelp) and I took a chance. It was a chance I later came to regret. We dropped off the car at 9 am and at 2pm my daughter received a call from the shop indicating all the tires needed to be replaced, as well as both front lower control arms at the tune of $900!! I was blown away! Primarily because they obviously thought they were dealing with a novice also, both arms are not necessary! Those parts were already previously replaced! My daughter instantly called her father who advised them not to repair anything. He immediately had my kids go pick up the car and take it to an authorized mechanic who corrected Staple Mills Auto Faux Pas! Apparently these vultures need to scam a few patrons to make ends meet! The economy has impacted us all! Not just You Staples Mill Auto!

I was charged 180.00 dollars... Which really isn't my issue it's that fact that they told me that I couldn't drive my car back to Florida because it needed a catalytic converter which they where charging me 1200 and 400 for labor.. And they wanted me to wait til Monday . I didn't wait I got to Florida and took it to my mechanic and all he did was change the spark plug . And before I left he gave me his card and said if something happens, I also have tow trucks. I felt like since he knew my situation they were trying to get over on me. They knew I didn't live in Virginia and they were trying to take advantage of the situation. I was very disappointed when leaving this establishment. And these are Dominicans so I thought there going to help instead I left there feeling jerked .
