Came in for what is usually pretty darn good food. Today, unfortunately, was not the case. The sopapillas I believe were from yesterday and then microwaved. They were hard, dark, gross. The guacamole was almost black, and tasted like it. The Mexican pizza is a favorite of iurs, I convinced my sister to get it and I am sorry I did. It was soggy, and unenjoyable. My other sister did get an egg white omelet that she thought was absolutely delicious. I had to go to the host stand to ask for refills on drinks. The chips and salsa were great, unfortunately, because it is before 11 there was a charge for them. We usually really enjoy it here. But 5 0ut of 6 meals were sub par. Will come again I'm sure. This place ROCKED! Great green and red chiles; amazing enchiladas, and drink & dinner specials each night of the week! Recommend the Queso here and the beef tacos. The bar room is dark but they have a family dining room as well, that is brightly lit, even if a little outdated. Customer service was great here as the wait-staff checked on us frequently and they have clean restrooms (which is a very important test!). Gotta hope i caught them on a bad night... Only three other tables occupied. Still our glasses were mostly in need of filling. Chips~ thin and crispy and fresh. Salsa is good. Blended. Almost exactly like chili's salsa. Easy to wipe out the bowl. Tiny bowl. Which remained empty. The server was ... Unhappy is a euphemism. I asked if there was a hotter salsa. Her answer was "no." just that... "Excuse me, do you have a hotter salsa?". "No." And kept walking. Food was average. Prices average. Sopapillas average. Like i said... Hope i caught them on a bad night. Pity. Because i tipped 40% the last time we went out to eat. My mom raised four kids by waiting tables. Is it so difficult to be nice? I've been here a couple of times and I love the food and atmosphere. The chicken fajitas are my favorite and I usually pair it with a patron margarita. But, the service is lacking. The last couple of times that's I've been here, our server forgot our drinks and didn't bring them out until AFTER our food was brought out. If they could just up the service then I'd probably come here more often. But just the thought of the service makes me not want to come here. read more

3 months ago I swore off Chimichangas after shoving 8 of them in my mouth followed by 3 diet cokes to wash down my self hatred. I came to this restraunt with the cravings for tacos, but once I spotted a chimichanga on the menu, I knew I'd have to spend the night in the toilet. Service was fast, and the place was relatively clean. The food was great, and my chimichanga brought back the memories of heartburn from 3 months ago. I was introduced to Fiestas from a friend who loves it. I have to agree it's rather tasty. The menue has a wide variety of Mexican food along with a few other items for the not so in love with chile eaters. I love their refried beans they are tasty and what i feel is smashed correctly. Nothing i dislike more than getting refried beans and they are half smashed and partially whole. (I do not like whole beans). Their chile is tasty but not spicy this is not a place for hardcore chile fans. Complimentary chips and salsa arrive as you give your drink order. I love the stuffed sopapilla, burritos and some plates. The food portions are large and the prices are fair. We have went with large groups and have had no issues finding seats. Always great service, servers come by often to make sure your drinks are filled but they don't disturb you they just fill your drink and carry on. I would recommend Fiestas for tasty not spicy fans of chile and be prepared to carry out a to-go box since their servings are large. If you haven't been give it a try! read more

I should start this review by letting you know that I did not eat here. Not even one morsel, but I'm giving it five stars. Why, you might ask? Because of the late night karaoke. My friends and I were in town for a magical wedding and had a hankering for some karaoke. Surprisingly, not a lot of places to choose from on a Friday night. But Fiesta's had us covered. We rolled in, a large group of ten, and immediately felt at home. From the bartender to the server to the karaoke host and the amazing group of back-up band (on inflatable instruments, no less), this place was the best. It allowed our group to be crazy and loud and was a night to remember. We'll be back someday when we're in town again! read more

My office went to Fiesta's for lunch today, Thursday, 11/9/17. One of my co-workers ended up with part of a sink fixture in her Taco Salad. She took a picture of it. When calling the waitress over to let her know, she got an attitude. My co-worker stayed calm and was very nice. We then asked for the manager but this "Waitress" claimed to BE the manager. We all thought she didn't want to get in trouble and lied about it. What this poor excuse for a server did was to take 10% off the bill and brought her two tacos to eat instead. Something my coworker DID NOT want. She wanted the Taco Salad but this "Waitress/Manager" had an attitude about bringing her another one. My Review.....Do not eat at this place until they give this person some lessons in how to deal with the public. If she doesn't like her job, she needs to either quit or learn to be kinder to the people you are serving. read more

Solid, green chili stew hit the spot. The green sauce is definitely spicier than the red, but both are a good call at this unassuming and friendly family-style restaurant. Would definitely stop by next time I'm traveling through Albuquerque. read more

Two words.. Booze and Breakfast! The night shift from UNMH loves fiestas for this! Beer and pancakes or any alcoholic drink and a breakfast burrito with chile and I'm happy! Stopped in for some hangover food cause it's close-by. Food is good, service the same. I sat in the bar area and it felt a little old school and seedy but, that's probably because I was a. hungover and b. sitting in their bar. I went on a day it was stuffed with the after church crowd. The Carne Adovada Chimichanga is amazing. It's portion sizes are awesome (Two meals in one) and their salsa is always fresh and delicious.

Twice, i have been here and each time no one ever waited on me. Was ignored by 2 waitresses. I guess they figure what they were doing was more important than waiting on customers. We have driven by Fiesta's dozens of times in the past several years. Always noticed that the parking lot was never empty. So, on a whim today, we stopped in for breakfast, having no idea what to expect. We ordered the Huevos Rancheros and the Carne Asada Breakfast burrito. The food took a little longer to arrive than breakfasts at many other restaurants, but it's worth it. Our food was freshly-prepared and came to the table hot and delicious. The portions are very filling. Each meal was very flavorful. The Carne Asada burrito was full of freshly-grilled steak. I got at least 3 slices of steak in every bite. The hash browns that came with the Huevos were excellent - as were the beans. The green chili added just the right kick. We were surprised to get soapapillas with the Huevos Rancheros -unlike the usual tortilla. They were very tasty and enhanced the breakfast even more. The service? Couldn't have been better. Our server, Flower, was friendly, accommodating, and attentive. She shared information when we asked, made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel like we were her favorite customers. We plan to go back often to sample other items on the menu. We will be asking for Flower every time. The atmosphere? We happen to love restaurants with a local Albuquerque vibe and Fiesta's does not disappoint. I'm sure they get numerous patrons who might be visiting the 505, but it seems like they have a very large and loyal local following as well. I decided I was going to eat lunch away from my desk all week since last week I was chained to my chair and subsisted on protein bars, day old bran muffins, a few raw cashews and some multi grain tortilla chips. I drove up Carlisle, contemplated (for 3 seconds) stopping at McDonalds for a chili cheese burger just to fill the void..... also drove by 3 Chinese restaurants along Carlisle on my way towards Montgomery. With no plan in mind I remembered Fiestas on Carlisle and Montgomery. I've eaten there a few times and never with any bad memories so I pulled into the parking lot. Thought about breakfast but, instead, ordered a stuffed sopaipilla with ground beef and beans "Christmas". In the meantime the waitress brought me chips and salsa which were pretty good and my lunch arrived with 2 hot sopaipillas. I started on the green side, thought it was a bit on the salty side but very tasty with a little bite. I moved over to the red side and found it pretty good but a bit on the mild side. Nice portions, prices not out of line and very good service. Food was stove hot, as it should be and got out of there for around $8 + a $2 tip. I'd go back and would even take business guests or my wife....... ok, I'll have to re-think my wife since she is super picky and might find the color schemes in there not up to her standards.
