Fall out and about I was craving some Matcha so after a little bit of a search, we came across Local Crave. This location is shared with other businesses and it's pretty unassuming from the outside.. it does have both street parking and a private parking lot which is great. I'm sure it's busier during the week but on the weekend. While I was craving a Matcha, my husband was craving something sweet. We definitely both scored. My husband ordered a berries and cream croissant, and I had a ceremonial Matcha with vanilla. Service was excellent. They brought our drinks to us which was nice, I liked how bright it was inside with all the glass windows. I definitely be back in the area again. Great stop. read more

The Local Krave started back around 2015 in the Midway - Point Loma are. It's nice to see them expanding their successful business into the Pacific Beach area. I had the breakfast sando on a house made and . baked round croissant. Their are three to choose from. I had the southern comfort for $11.99 plus tax. It came with a savory sausage patty, a black pepper country gravy, a fried egg made with garlic butter. The southern comfort sando was very tasty. The sausage and fried egg were very good. I liked the the round croissant they use for the sandwich. It was very buttery and had a good flakiness, but the one I received, had issues staying together. I liked the croissant, but I just wish it would stay together better. There's a good amount of inside seating at this location, but I did not see any on the outside. That said, the white line in the photo is how full the coffee came:/ that's just over half full the rest is whipped cream (which we asked for) but it shouldn't take away half the coffee. This branch of the Local Krave is well off the beaten path in the Pacific Beach/Bay Ho neighborhood. The location was on the ground floor of an apartment complex at the bend of a street running parallel to the I-5 Freeway. I only learned of its presence because a recent review showed up on my activity feed. Has this business really been in operation for four years at this spot per the feedback on another social media platform? The signage was minimal and limited to what was posted on the windows and doors which didn't make it easy to find the suite. All of the parking in the lot was reserved for tenants or the disabled. I parked curbside on Bunker Hill St where there were plenty of open spots. The seating was a mixture of a few high-top and regular tables. The ambiance felt like a hotel lobby as opposed to a cafe. I have never visited the sister location in Point Loma before, but I can't imagine its setup is similar to this one. For food, the menu featured croissant roll creations and sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches and burritos, breakfast bowls, and liege waffles. Coffee, tea, espresso, latte, and "Kraveman" drinks made up the bulk of the beverage offerings. The Southern Comfort was my to-go order which was breakfast sausage and a garlic butter fried egg topped with black pepper white country gravy. It could be served on a croissant roll (my pick) or flour tortilla. Within ten minutes, the breakfast sando was placed in a takeout container. The croissant roll was spiraly and soft while the white gravy was quite savory. Those were the good parts. The not so good aspect was the $11.99 price tag which was really pricey for a product that was smaller than the size of a fast food signature burger. The service from the cashier was pleasant and polite. I gave a three star rating for my visit to the Local Krave. read more

what a great coffee spot. When I visit San Diego I'd like to try all the coffee shops, especially those that are Mom and pop shops and not chains. I found parking to be super easy when I arrived around 7:30 AM. The coffee was fabulous dark enough to feel like it was robust and light enough not to be overwhelming. I ordered the zucchini bread and a croissant roll to go and both were fabulous. There was a kind woman working the register and a gentleman, and they shared how they make everything in house which I love the ambience is clean with tables and chairs to sit at. read more

I drive farther from home to get coffee here because I love it so much! I always feel very taken care of by the staff. Our experience was enhanced by our barista Sara who was so nice and friendly! They bake the bread in house. I always get the turkey chipotle sandwhich and you can tell the ingredients are high quality and fresh! This place is truly a hidden gem!! You must try these waffles. Everything is absolutely delicious. These waffles are the best I've ever had and their homemade whipped cream makes them even better. All of the burritos are good. The heart to heart is my favorite. I've only ordered takeout but they are so friendly. They call to change things if they're out of something instead of canceling the order. The coffee is great too. The one time I stopped in to pick up it was adorable and clean. I ordered a large matcha kraveman and it just tasted like water and a bit of matcha. No honey or other stuff they said it would have. I got the royals waffle and it was ok. I wanted something sweet and savory but it didn't have much flavor, pretty mediocre. I got a plain toast for my son and that was actually the best thing out of what i got.
