Took my Lincoln mkz 2015 to a local auto shop and they misdiagnosed a whining sound coming from the front of my car to be a bad transmission.. thankfully I refused to believe that so I took my car to Findlay Lincoln's service department . Paid the diagnostic fee and the service team were able to determine the sound was coming from a blown speaker that coincidentally started making the sound the same day I began hearing the whining noise. I've been going to Findlay Lincoln since 2019 and that's where I got all the maintenance done on my Lincoln MKZ and now my Navigator. I recently couldn't get the Navigator to start and the battery was completed dead. I called Team Lincoln because they were closer to me... What a mistake. The man I spoke to in the service department was nice but I knew he had no real interest in helping me. I called Findlay Lincoln and they tried to send the mobile mechanic to change my battery the same day but it was too late in the day so it was scheduled for the next day. The technician John arrived on time and he was EXTREMELY professional and courteous. He had my battery changed very quickly and filled the air in my tires and showed me how to use a couple of features on the vehicle that I didn't understand. I really appreciated that he went above and beyond to assist me and that was greatly appreciated. Sad story here about a chain of customer service failures, I will try to make this long story as brief as possible. A while back, I found my Nav unable to start/stone dead. It was a lease, so I called Lincoln Conceirge, because all these issues are supposedly covered. Concierge sent a 3rd party company out, that tested the battery, and said it needed to be replaced. They replaced the battery and charged me $250 for a "covered" repair, stating that they were a third party, and that I'd have to call Lincoln for reimbursement, so I left a message for service at Findlay Lincoln, but never heard back. 2 weeks later, I found the Nav dead again. This time, I called Service at Findlay directly, because I got screwed on the first battery. Service told me that I once again needed a new battery, which WAS a covered item, but that they weren't going to cover it because the battery in there wasn't a factory battery! I got angry and told them that the battery in there was out in by the company THEY SENT, and now they were using their error as a reason to screw me a second time?!? Austin, (the service manager) compromised, and covered the second battery, but not the first, and said they wanted to keep the car for a few days to see why it was killing batteries. He told me that a loaner car was included in my lease, but said that they were out of them, and instructed me to get a rental from Enterprise, which they'd reimburse me for. A few days later when my rental was up, Austin told me to extend my rental and thaey'd reimburse me. When the car was ready, I submitted my rental receipt. About a week later, Austin asked for a more legible receipt, so I did a hi-res scan for him. A few weeks later, I inquired, and he said he was still working on it. Later still, I inquired, inquired again, and again, but Austin went dark. I left messages for the GM Mr Chiles, but got nowhere. About a year later, close to lease expiration, a Findlay customer service rep named Cheryl called to ask if upon lease expiration, would I be making another deal with Findlay. I told her this story, but she gave a stock answer, apologizing for the trouble I had with service, but telling me that there was nothing she could do. I tried one more time, but she simply cut/pasted the last response, washing her hands of it. When my lease was up, I wanted another Nav, but NOT from Findlay. We located one in CA, 5 hours away, but they shipped it to Findlay to process the paperwork. While I was begrudgingly there, the salesperson asked why I seemed standoffish, so I told my story. He went and got Nathan Findlay, the OWNER, who listened to my story, assured me he would look into it, and asked me to email him. (AS I'm spending $122K) I emailed Mr Findlay that day, but got no response. I emailed again 5 days later, but got no response. I emailed again on day 10, but got no response. Now, here we are at day 12, and this seems to be my only available recourse. In short, Austin, Cheryl, and Nathan Findlay himself, all had opportunities to right the wrong, but all sidestepped the issue and stuck me with $875 in un-reimbursed expenses that were all supposed to be covered under my lease. And now, this is the only recourse I have left. Please....try to avoid buying from Findlay Lincoln if possible, there are other dealerships to spend your money with. read more

I had been working with Brenda for a month or so negotiating back & forth. We came to an agreement on an out the door price then I put down a $3k deposit to hold the car since I am out of state. I asked her to send the contract over on Tuesday 7/2/24 so I could read over it, sign, & send the remaining wire to pay for the car. She stated I needed to send the funds in full before getting the contract, which didn't make sense. Who is going to send the funds for something before reading a contract. Almost a week goes by & have yet to receive the contract because Brenda says daily how "busy" the dealership was, but she will get it sent over. On vacation we leased a Lincoln Aviator. Beautiful suv. But living in Ca they said in 30 days we would need to have it registered, smogged & a vin verification but not to worry a company would reach out & handle everything.Ok sounds easy right? On day 30 I received an email saying what needs to be completed. The company All U Need Reg & Title is a total joke. I reached out to our salesman Jeffery Lamper who gave us another 30 day permit to drive (rudely I might add). Again this wasn't our fault. After chasing anyone we possibly could i finally got a hold of the lady who does the title. As of Jan 8, 2025 our vehicle was never titled in NV. It must be titled in NV then they must send the title to CA DMV then CA sends it back to the finance company. Again sounds easy? Findlay barely sent the title to Ca on Jan 10, 2025. I haven't been able to drive my beautiful vehicle since Nov 28. I leased it Sept 26, 2024. I have made 4 car payments. The sales manager was supposed to contact me several days ago... still nothing. I'm beyond frustrated and felt this dealership has completely let me down. I would At all cost avoid doing business with them. We bought a vehicle here years ago and they have great service. The car selection is great and we really appreciate the accommodations. This place really puts my pet peeve on a pedestal though with the individual packaging of coffee cups with the accompaniment. The sugar packets are already pre packaged. Why on earth would you need to put them in a bag with a cup? Do you not know about the "climate crisis." There is about to be more plastic in the ocean than fish but you have this bright idea to put paper cups and the lids in a ziploc bag with the lid and stir sticks. I just don't understand how this is supposed to reduce touch points while I'm watching the woman do it without gloves on. I have never seen anything so stupid and I'm seriously disturbed by how people just blindly do things that make no sense at all. It is so heart breaking to watch. They originally told me it was just false codes and is ok to drive. They have replaced a leaking brake booster and the steering module and they can't figure it out. They say it is up to Lincoln Corporate and the Lincoln Concierge says it is the dealer. This dealership sells you a lemon and does not stand on their word. After speaking with the GM and internet manager they start to ghost you when things start happening to brand new cars. They don't stand by their word and they only are nice to you when they want you to purchase a car. Communication is terrible, you deal with multiple people and they are not open and honest. I called a few days ago to schedule service for my Lincoln Continental. There was a recall on my car. They upsold me on an oil change as well. After driving 75 miles one way to get this service done, I arrive only to be told they don't have parts for the recall. To say I'm upset is an understatement. When I walked up to my vehicle for the first time at night, the doorhandles lit up, the ground was lit up with the Lincoln emblem upon my arrival and walking toward the vehicle. The back part of the vehicle was lit up in a beautiful red ambient light reflective of the red carpet metallic exterior color of the vehicle. On my way back in town from California, I got an alert on my dash that my car was about to overheat. I pulled over, let it cool off, no coolant was needed, so I was able to drive home safely. As suggested by the manual, I took my car to Findlay to be checked to see if there were any additional issues. I dropped it off on Wednesday 7/5/23 at 12:30 pm and met with Wyatt. I knew it was kind of late in the day and there were other ars ahead of me so I decided to wait until Thursday 7/6/23 to call to follow up. I called between 3 and 4 pm on that day, since the app showed no progress and I hadn't received an update. Wyatt answered and told me my car had just been assigned to a tech and he would have a response for me by 11 am on Friday 7/7/23. I waited for a response, assuming they may have been busy, I called at 12:42 pm, 3:54 pm, 5:36 pm and 6:12 pm. Left 2 voicemail, last one at 6:12 pm for the next work day to return my call about the status of my vehicle. I didn't receive a call on Saturday 7/8/23, wasn't sure if he worked or not. Today is Monday, 7/10/23, I called at 11:26 am leaving a voicemail, no response. I called again at 4:10 pm, asked to speak with someone else in service since I haven't received a call back. I was transferred to someone else, left a message with my name, number, that I was trying to get an update on my car and haven't received an update since Wednesday and left my vehicle description and color. I still have yet to receive a return call as of the time of this post. If I had a loaner vehicle I wouldn't have much of an issue. But, I've been without my car for almost a week and still awaiting an update. If someone can at least give me a call to let me know what's going on so I won't remain in the dark about my vehicle, I'd appreciate it. Alan Rothenberg made it pretty clear Findlay Lincoln is all about profit. Not sure how you can advise me I have negative equity in a vehicle you've never seen or received any information on. When I called you out on it you advised me "well without doing a proper appraisal" we wouldn't know if you have negative equity. Maybe you should have started with that statement before giving inaccurate information. This is why it's so important to me to get estimates or feel a salesman out before wasting any time at a dealership. This made my decision clear not to use Findlay Lincoln.
