First time eating here. It is sad that a steak was not warm when we got it. The garlic mashed potatoes had so much garlic that they were not fit to eat. The broccoli was not cooked and tasted bad. That was my husbands food. The Tostada was served as a make it yourself entree. The retried beans were cold, and the tortillas were cold. That was my meal. I did however talk to some other patrons and their food was great. In my opinion all good should be great. I would not recommend this place. read more

After a long day of driving we were ready for dinner. Pub food sounded great and this place wasn't far from our hotel. When we came in the bartender told us to sit anywhere, it wasn't crowded (Saturday night at 8:00) and we found a nice table for two. Our server came right over to take drink orders. We asked a couple questions about the menu and decided on wings and sliders. We also ordered a margarita and a long island iced tea. The service was prompt and the food good. The drinks were not great. My margarita tasted like undiluted limeade. Disappointing. My husband wasn't impressed with his drink either. I ordered the Mediterranean Chicken Pasta and let me tell you I was not disappointed. I paired it with the house Cabernet. My husband ordered the Jalapeno mozzarella sticks and normally I cannot eat anything with jalapenos. They were fantastic, I was able to eat two. I ordered dessert and the Mud Pie was the best I have ever tasted. Even if the food had not been excellent I would go back for more Mud Pie! read more

The wings were good, but 20 minutes between when she stopped by. I had to actually go find her after waiting another 20 minutes to get our bill. We went here because it was walking distance from our hotel. The menu should have been an indicator of the attention to detail. We quit counting spelling errors after 10 corrections. Spell check apparently was not available to the writers. The serviceperson was a bit embarrassed especially since she said it was a brand new menu. The Shepard's pie was great. Flat bread was so so with mediocre topping. One member of our party simply tore apart the sandwich in order to find filling. Ok, so first time here. Was looking forward to some good Irish style food. When I got here and looked at the new/revised menu I was disappointed. No Shepherds Pie, no Bangers & Mash. So I looked for the Ribeye...none. The only thing close to "Irish" fare is fish & Chips. I went with the daily special Farm House Burger with fried onions and a fried egg. The burger was just OK. The fried onions were like French's Friend onions that you put on Green-bean casserole. The egg was fried supper HARD. I'm used to it being over easy so some of the yoke covers the burger. Not here. The egg was so over fried there wasn't enough mayonnaise and catchup to moisten the sandwich. The fires were decent. I enjoyed two glasses of a local microbrew IPA from Dragoon Brewery (best part of the meal). Staff were fairly friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was rather lacking. Had no Irish feel, just two big screen TV's and a bunch of UArizona pics on the wall. What you'd expect at a run of the mill Tucson Sports Pub, but not what I expected from a Pub called Finnegan's. There seems to be more areas of this restaurant/pub than the bar area, but I'm assuming that due to the Coronavirus that they have few customers and have downsized maybe their seating area and the menu. Still a let down though. Hopefully in the future things will pick up and change and maybe they can re-add the more Irish themed meals and stakes to their menu. read more

Hummmm! Two little grilled chicken slides (not even 1/2 of a 1/2 chicken breast) these are small big plate full of fries!!! Not worth the money I estimate maybe an 1/8 of a chix breast spilt in half to make these sandwich's . Save your money go to the airport and eat! I don't recommend this place. My daughter was hungry and went down to see what they had. She decided to get a Kraft Macaroni and Cheese cup to prepare in our microwave in our room and a bottle of orange juice. They charged her $15.00 for one cup of unprepared Macaroni and cheese and a bottle of orange juice she took to the room. She paid cash and they said they couldn't give her a receipt. Then when we checked out we were charged an additional $15.00 for the package of macaroni and cheese and bottle of orange juice, so that cost us $30!! What a joke. We were staying at a hotel nearby that recommended this restaurant as it was within walking distance. I had the GF pasta dish. Which is great for me! It was delicious My husband had a hamburger (great) and the French fries were divine! I love French fries. The grandkids are a little harder to please. I ordered side salads so they would at least eat their greens but the waitress delivered them after the main dish the salad was from a bag so I don't recommend that anyway... it was definitely a pub atmosphere but we were all hungry and tired. DISGUSTING. I REMEMBER BAD BUT THIS IS REALLY BAD. I ate there over 6 hours ago and have the worst indigestion can have. I got a flatbread that had way too much pesto and feta on it. Hands down the best fish and chips I've ever had. The crispy exterior of the fish and firm inner texture are perfect, and they don't taste like cheap frozen pieces. The jalapeño mozzarella sticks and French fries are really delicious as well. Additionally, the service there has been great both times I have been there. After a friend spoke of the happy hour here I decided to check it out. They have a huge beer selection. Free chips and salsa. During happy hour they bring out complimentary warm snacks. They do offer food from the menu but I haven't tried it. One annoying thing is that the stools at the bar don't move and they are about three inches too far apart. Drove me nuts. The home of the 14 oz pint of beer. When I asked what size beer they served I was told it was a pint. When I was served I mentioned that the glass was the smallest pint I ever saw. When finished I asked the bar tender for a 1 oz jigger and water to measure the glass. He then admitted that it was a 14 oz glass and that "everyone" used that size g,ass for a "pint". The bar did not have Guinness on draft. The food was OK, rather expensive for what we were served but fairly tasty. Service was fast. Would I go back? I think not. read more

We had dinner there on January 14th. The Beet Salad was okay .....just okay. The portion was small for the price, and it looked as though it had been prepared earlier, perhaps wrapped in plastic wrap, and then unwrapped to be served...everything was sort of smashed together on the plate. My friends steak was ordered Medium and served Med Rare and floating in butter. The fries were lukewarm. Service was pleasant and friendly and beverages were kept full. Then we had breakfast on January 16th and 17th. The staff were all smiling and friendly ....they seemed to want to help....but there also seemed to be a big gap in organization. On both mornings, the buffet ran out of plates and food. When the food was replenished, the portions put out were small ...even though the restaurant and the bar were packed with people. If you weren't standing at the buffet, waiting for more food to come out ....then by the time you got from your table to the buffet and waited in line ....the food was gone again. On both mornings.....I ate my toast, scrambled eggs, and bacon at differing times because if there were eggs...there was no bacon, if there was bacon there were no eggs.....and the loaf of bread was over 30 minutes in appearing. There was also something else we encountered. The tables had napkins, forks, and knifes .....but no spoons. Coffee was offered to us on both mornings....and we asked for cream and Splenda ...which were quickly provided. And when we said 'there are no spoons'....the waitress on each morning said 'yes, we don't roll them in the napkins anymore because people are stealing them'....so then we smiled and said ...'well can we have spoons please?' .... spoons never arrived, so we used our knives. Now ....if you, as a waitress, know there are no spoons on the table, and you also know your customer wants cream and sweetener for their coffee.......wouldn't you bring a spoon when you deliver the cream? It was clean and the staff IS friendly ...they just need some good old fashioned direction. read more

I would give them four stars instead of the three that most reviewers give. However my dad didn't like it. He'd rather go to Burger King down the street because it's cheaper. If you have the money though and you're staying close to the Tuscan Airport this is the place to go. I believe I had mussels or clams and they were really good but I've never been able to go back because my dad would rather go to Burger King. So what I would suggest is maybe Burger King a block or two down the street for breakfast, and Finnegan's for lunch and / or dinner, provided you can afford it. It's within walking distance of the airport, and if you have an airport shuttle it will take you there in no time at all. read more

At first my experience was not that great. The staff (especially the waiter) seemed lost and not interested in working. The food was a bit slow but it's to be expected in a smaller city like Tucson where it seems to be more laid back. I honestly was going to give this establishment 2-3 stars until the nicest lady asked me how things were. I told her I was a bit frustrated and she told me she was the manager. Her name is Sandra Perez, restaurant manager, and she honestly saved this review. We chatted for a few minutes and she was super pleasant. From cold food, that was attempted to be reheated in a microwave, to a cashier that does not have change for their customers, this has to be the worst ever experience in all of my travels throughout the country. Staying at the DoubleTree Suites Hotel and went to the pub to use my "Free Drink Coupon" and ended up drinking three Kilt Lifters. Extremely friendly staff that make you feel welcomed. Yum! This was exactly what we needed to end our night. My daughter and I came in to get some dessert before we headed to our room. Unlike some hotel restaurants that are littered with surly staff members we were greeted with smiles and had a nicely packaged dessert and were ready to call it a night in a matter of minutes! Ordered the eggs rancheros and it looked like #2 on a plate. It had bland refried beans and avocado with mystery flecks.

Atmosphere: It's an odd color of paint, but they do have the TV's you'd expect at a pub. It's usually a pretty good atmosphere with people unwinding from the hotel next door. No complaints really. Food: This is an odd one for me. It's a very odd assortment of food, especially for an "Irish Pub". You go from bar food(pretzels and wings) to the typical shepherds pie, to a seared ahi tuna steak. The pretzel is delicious, wings overdone, the chicken was decent but I had the sauce changed from the red pepper sauce to the ponzu sauce. They do chips and salsa for free that's very tasty, but the first time I ate the chips they were stale. Pricing: Appetizers from 4-10 bucks, entree's from 12-24 bucks. The food's not terribly priced, just not terribly fantastic either. The only thing that bothered me was the relatively high cost of beers. It was 4.50 for a draft beer. Service: Never been disappointed here. They are always friendly, very expedient. Overall. The food is meh, the pricing is alright. I'm left with a general feeling of mediocrity when I eat here. A little too hit or miss to rate a 3 star it would have if the food was more consistent. read more

What can I say. Service is slow, waiters inattentive, we sat for more than 15 minutes before they asked us what we want to drink. The garlic mashed potatoes had no garlic in them, the meat was the kind of gravy that is normally put on breakfast biscuits. The drinks are severely watered down. The floors are filthy. There are 3 waiters serving about 20 tables, and it still took us 20minutes to get the check, then another 10 minutes to have the credit card run. Hilton should be ashamed. read more
