Our 1st time here. Very glad we did. Atmosphere had a great vibe. The beer selection is cool but do wish they had just a regular double IPA. The tripel was good and hit the spot. The Ahi bowl started off not feeling it. But once I hit the rice it was great. Cheeseburger sliders were great too. And a tilt of the hat for the service Megan was amazing especially with as busy as it was. The rest of the staff definitely stood out with either asking us if we needed anything or Megan was. The interior and atmosphere were nice. There is a big area to sit while you wait for a table. The bar had plenty of room and seating. Bathrooms were clean and staff were friendly. I had this place on my list for a while and finally had the chance to try it. I was a little disappointed. We tried the deviled eggs, pretzel, mini lobster rolls, onion rings, chips, bison burger and cheesesteak sandwich. The deviled eggs were a little runny and the flavor was overpowering. There was a small piece of bacon on top that you couldn't taste. The rest of the flavor took over. The onion rings had a thin, crispy batter that was perfect. Again, it didn't have any flavor. Chips were also really thin and crispy. They were perfect crisp and no flavor. I do understand the idea of enjoying a clean simple item, but a little seasoning would have been nice. The mini lobster rolls were not my favorite. They were also a little runny. The pretzel was good. It came with three dips and they were all good. I have never had a bison burger. I only took a bite. There was a lot of flavoring. The bun was disappointing and felt like a basic store bought bun. The cheesesteak sandwich saved the day. It was so good. It had a ton of flavor, a nice serving of meat and the perfect mix of cheese and peppers. I loved it. The appetizers were not my thing. Finney's Where to start? The avocado egg rolls were a twist on other avocado egg rolls from places like CPK or BJ's. They have a thin egg roll sheet fried to perfection matched with the dipping sauce. They had a lime taste to them which paired perfectly with the avocado. The drinks were ok, I ordered a mai tai and it tasted like straight pineapple juice. They have many beer options to choose from. The boneless wings had the best crispiness to them and their Nashville ranch is delicious! We went on 2 separate occasions (multiple photos) The service is ok -- not great, not bad. The restaurant itself is pretty cool as it has an open layout with bar seating, table/booth seating, and outdoor seating as well. There is a "game room" which is inside a retired bank vault with safety deposit boxes. Overall a great pick in a place to eat and drink. :) read more

I'm hoping they get their footing and my next experience is better. The good: Great space - both indoor and outdoor seating is offered and there's mist to keep you cool when dining outdoors. Our server kept checking on us and kept our drinks filled. The onion rings and taquitos are delicious. The bad: Wagyu burger was ordered as medium and came out at medium well. The arugula took away from the actual burger flavor - this will be omitted next time. Cesar salad was over dressed but okay. The ugly: Cheesesteak was dry and under seasoned. I've been here twice both on Saturdays in March. The first time was for lunch around 1 pm. I had the Italian salad & it was awesome. Service was great. Parking was easy. It wasn't crowded. 5 stars I go back on March 15 at 4 pm for happy hour. It was difficult to find parking. We sit at the bar waiting for a table. It was crowded, however the bartender ( male) was friendly, smiled & attentive. We had cocktails. Everything is great. We go on the patio outside towards the street near the bar & we get a rude waitress. She had an attitude like we were taking up her valuable table & time. We both ordered cocktails. She had resting bitch face. My date said why can't she smile ? She kept asking us to basically to leave because her shift was over. I even joked to my date, it feels like she wants us to go home, too ? She wants us to cash out. It became uncomfortable for us. I'm apologizing to my date because I picked the place. The craft beer was good, however the glass size is small. The lobster rolls were tiny. A lot of bread very little filling. I wouldn't order them again. Overall, I'd give it a 1, that's how they ended up with a 3. I'm not sure I'll be back. Certainly, not for happy hour. read more

My wife and I usually travel outside of Redlands for a nice night out, but we recently started visiting local staples in our quaint town. We both got out of work early and didn't feel like calling it a day. Happy hour? A must! Finney's Crafthouse is fairly new and always seems busy. We arrived at 4:20 PM-ish and were informed that there was a 20-30 minute wait, just missing happy hour from 3-5 PM. Luckily, they allowed us to order cocktails and drinks and happy hour prices while waiting for the table. One of their servers came up to us and happily greeted us "to get us in before happy hour." It would have been nice to order some food at happy hour prices but she said it was drinks only. The wife ordered a watermelon smash and I got the raspberry smash, both fruity served in sugar-rimmed glasses. The first time we came here, we enjoyed their lobster roll and Hawaiian poke nachos appetizer. The lobster roll was full of lobster meat and seasoned with citrus aioli and capers for the salinity component. The Hawaiian poke nachos were really wonton chips and could have used more tuna but it was tasty. This time, we opted to share a flatbread pizza. Our eyes immediately targeted the mushroom and truffle pizza garnished with arugula and freshly shaved parmesan cheese. The fresh arugula served a bitter bite to the earthy mushrooms. The cheese added a sharp, luscious bite to contrast the truffle cream. Finney's is our go-to spot for a quick bite and drinks. I've been here about 7 times since they opened. The food is not the issue, the food is actually really good. It's the service that has started to slack. I waited 45 mins for a seat and when I was finally seated no one approached me for at least 15 mins. I've tried inside and outside the past few times to see if the service was better, it's not. Once you get your food it's as though they forget about you. I do not get asked if I would like a refill on my drink and Goodluck getting more water. Someone will definitely come around when you're paying to ensure they receive that tip. Not sure what has changed since they've opened but the last 3 times I've been here has just been disappointing. I really love dining at Finney's. Have to come here at least twice a week! I'm always greeted with pure hospitality and the service is always quick and fast. One dish I do recommend is the blackened shrimp tacos. They have an AWESOME bar!! I recommend getting the Agua Santa it's super delicious! Finally had an opportunity to write thus review. I must say Finney's is a great place for lunch and dinner. The wagu burgers are a must have. In addition, all the appetizers are to die for. Service was always great each and every time the wife and I have gone. Most of all, we were given a clear menu choices and suggestions that made it easier to decide our main course. The layout of the establishment is very inviting that also allows for handicapped access and the awesome patio to relax on those really hot days. Was excited to try Finney's for the first time. The reason why the score is 2 stars instead of 4 is solely on the service. Waited forever to get service to order a drink. Food came out slow and I asked for ranch for my pizza and soy sauce for the spicy tuna crispy rice. Neither came and no one checked on us so we went without it. Gary's Pepperoni with hot honey was good 8/10, the spicy tuna was 6/10, the drinks were 10/10. The whiskey smoke show was amazing. This place would be 4 star if service was better. read more

The happy hour menu here is fantastic. I ordered my usual buffalo cauliflower and house Cabernet, while my husband went for the Gary pepperoni pizza, loaded tater tots, and Cali Creamin'. My parents wanted to try Finney's for lunch at 11:00 on a Sunday. We arrived as they were opening and were quickly seated as there was hardly anyone there yet. Our waitress was nice, but beyond ordering our drinks, appetizers, and main meals, that was the extent of our service. We were never offered refills on water or even asked if we wanted more alcohol. The only time we saw our waitress was when our food or drinks were brought out. My brother and I ended up going to the bar to refill our water. I assumed we would automatically get hit with an 18% or 20% tip given that we had 12 people and thankfully we weren't. The avocado rolls and onion rings were fine, but beyond that, there are better choices in Redlands that I know I can consistently get a good meal. The pastrami sandwich with truffle fries were disappointing (Saverinos has a way better pastrami sandwich). My wife got the BBQ chicken salad, and it was "whatever" in her words. The tater tots appetizer was nothing special. The pretzel was ok (you can get better Bavarian pretzels at breweries). The main dishes, overall, lacked flavor. I see no reason to come back here in the future given the plethora of other choices in the Redlands area. read more

Would recommend the Smokeshow Whiskey, carnitas nachos and boneless buffalo chicken with the Nashville ranch. The patio was so nice, fresh air & just enough sun to enjoy the day. We were greeted almost immediately with our waitress, got drinks ordered & started searching the menu for food. Drink: 5 - The presentation was top notch & the taste matched. Not a single drink was 'burnt' or too sweet. Food: 5 - We landed with a pretzel & loaded tots. Came here tonight with my wife and was really caught off guard with how poor the service was. Been here countless times and honestly, service, ambiance and quality are top tier, but tonight I felt like we were a bother. Typically we sit at a table and have great service, but tonight we opted to sit at the bar top. Sat down and was greeted with an annoyed tone. Mind you, we were there maybe 2 hours before closing time (we made sure with the host because we didn't want to interrupt closing duties for anyone. My wife is a bartender in downtown Redlands, so we try to be conscientious) but with that said, the guy bartender who helped us definitely made us seem like we disturbed him. (Guy with short hair, tattoo on left arm) We ordered our first beer, and he asked if we wanted to order food. We mentioned we would be ordering in a little because we like to drink one drink before eating. It was the least amount of interaction I've ever had with a bartender. He gave us our drinks and walked away, slamming bottles down after cleaning them, making small talk with his coworkers etc. By all means, do your thing, but never checked on us and when I ordered my second beer, he didn't say a word. Turned around, grabbed the beer, sat it down, no eye contact, nothing. Updated the check, walked away. 2nd bartender comes over (guy with longer hair, hat, beard) super friendly, and asks if we're good and then proceeds to tell us that if we needed anything, to let him know. At this point, the dinner we wanted to order was diminished by the attitude of the first bartender. My wife does this every day. She gets it. Bad days, sure. Rude, cocky behavior, not cool. We asked to close out without ordering anything else. Rude bartender grabs our check, walks over with a handheld device for us to close, sits in front of us, still NO conversation, no "thanks for coming in guys", "have a good night" nothing. Completely shocked. Now, we're adults. We don't need to be coddled like babies, but there's a slight expectation of wanting customers to return, so maybe lose the superiority complex. Will we still continue to come back, sure. Will we sit at the bar again? Probably not. If it wasn't for the second bartender being so kind to us, I'm not sure we'd be back anytime soon. read more
