Two visits in, and we're officially fans! I've seen a few grumpy reviews on here, but honestly, we've had nothing but great experiences.Their wait-time guessing game is actually pretty spot on. The first time, they promised 30-45 minutes and snagged us a table in 20. The second time, they called our name at exactly the 35-minute mark. The food completely delivers. Pro tip: don't skip the dinner salad. It's actually a proper salad--nicely chopped and packed with croutons, cheese, tomatoes, and cucumber, not just a sad bowl of lettuce. My filet was cooked perfectly, the baked potato was a beast, and my husband's ribeye was super flavorful and exactly how he ordered it.The staff is incredibly sweet and attentive. They stumbled a tiny bit on some beer and cocktail questions, but hey, they're still finding their groove and it definitely wasn't anything worth losing a star over. Total disappointment taking my husband for Father's Day. There was a short wait which we were welcoming greeted. The manger noticed my 4yr old hungry and cranky. He gave her teddy grams which i highly appreciated. Our server Taylor came over greeted took our drink order along with our appetizer. She forgot what my daughters drink of choice was, although the appetizer bread and drinks came out quickly we literally waited over 30mins for our food. Restaurant was quiet empty by this time. I asked a host if he can please check on our order. The table next to us that got there after us a got there food before us. I mentioned to Taylor if my 4yr olds Mac and cheese would come up if she would please bring it out. She was so hungry. Me as a experienced server. I would of communicated with the kitchen if they can please microwave that Mac and cheese right away..... but no Taylor didn't bother. We got our food. My husbands steak and lobster was sad looking. His steak looked like a reheated tv dinner meatloaf. Lobster tail was super cold. Melted butter wasn't given with the tail. We had to ask for it. Taylor knowing how long our food took already knowing my husband had his plate in front of him. Had the butter coming out but her priority was to be chatting away with coworkers holding the butter in her hand as I'm directly staring at her. Asked for steak sauce as well because condiments weren't ready at the table while that long wait we just had. Prebussing is a big thing for me as a family of 4 at dinner in a booth it's important. Our empty plates were in front of us. But Taylor approached the table with our check left it didn't take anything. Came back asking is the check ready for me I told her not yet she didn't bother picking up one plate. Maybe some retraining has to be done.... Major difference from our last experience. We arrived at LongHorn Steakhouse around 11:30 AM and checked in for our reservation/waitlist of four people. When I informed the host that two additional people would be joining us, we were told our wait would increase by another hour and 30 minutes. Unfortunately, that was not reasonable for our group, so we decided to leave. We've had much better experiences at the Rancho location, where even during busy times the wait has typically been around 45 minutes. What was most disappointing was that the host seemed completely indifferent when we chose to leave, as if our business didn't matter. Customer service starts at the front door, and this experience did not make us feel welcome. We decided to try LongHorn Steakhouse on a Thursday night, and it was busy. We used the "join waitlist" feature on Google beforehand--it seemed to go through, but there was no confirmation, so we weren't sure we were actually on the list until we randomly got the "table ready" notification. It felt a little glitchy, so just something to keep in mind. Parking was also a bit of a challenge since it's in a really busy shopping center, but we eventually found a spot. Once inside, we ended up getting lucky and snagging a two-top near the bar, which the manager confirmed was open seating--so we didn't even end up needing the waitlist. A super nice server cleaned the table quickly and ended up taking care of us. You can tell the staff is still new--some seemed a little nervous--but everyone was friendly and trying. We kept it light with drinks and appetizers. The Parmesan crusted bacon fries were really good--salty, crunchy, and cheesy in the best way. The wings had good flavor but were very salty--we had to dunk them in ranch to balance it out. The cup of shrimp and lobster chowder was decent and loaded with vegetables. The bread was just okay. The bar area has a few TVs and a fun vibe, and there was a constant wait the whole time, so it's definitely popular already. Called ahead at 4:40 pm for a table of 6. Was told it was a 60 min wait. Cool. We got there @530 and was officially checked in. We watched as party after party went ahead of us. We don't usually complain but an hour went by to 630- they said another 20 mins. Great- then another 20. We finally got sat @725. Almost 3 hours after i called to add our name and waiting 2 hours in the lobby. The restaurant itself is small. There was a whole open area by the bathrooms where they could've easily added more tables. I was going to give 1 star but the service and food really made up for it. Yissel really made up for the whole experience. We didn't have to ask for refills, she asked how everything was multiple times- she was prompt in everything we needed. She even gave the kids a dessert for the wait. A manager never checked on us but we did see him walking around. Their trainer Frank was funny and kept the kids entertained with his magic tricks. DELICIOUS! Was excited for this location to open and got to go for dinner last night. It was busy and we did have to wait for a table but we walked the shops while waiting. Enjoyed the atmosphere and was spacious and clean. Our server, and her Trainer (Yissel & Gigi) were amazing! Both so friendly and attentive. Since this is the newest restaurant in town we decided to give it a whirl. The wait was about 1.5 hours long and we were told it would be 1 hour but it's ok, it was a Friday night. This was an incredibly disturbing experience. I learned that the filet mignon was pressed and formed. It looked nothing like a filet mignon. Upon researching, apparently, meat glue is used to form the "steak". I am not saying meat glue was used, but the server did say that the filets had to be formed in the morning. Basically, it's a manufactured meat product. This was my third experience at Longhorn. The first time was not bad, but we had to have our baked potatoes reheated. The last two times, some portion of my order was not hot and needed to be sent back. Last night, I ordered shrimp, which was lukewarm and the broccoli was cold and hard. My niece's shrimp was also lukewarm. The macaroni and cheese was not hot and the stuffed mushrooms were hot on top, but only warm under the cheese. It seems that the plates were either left too long before serving or the food was not cooked to hot. Even the ends of the bread were hard and cold. My friend's Parmesan Chicken was also lukewarm, but i took too long to get our food to send anything back. My niece did get a hot order of Mac and cheese after complaining that the original was not hot. The best thing for me was the strawberry and pecan salad and the corn. When we open up the napkin with utensils I noticed how dirty they were. Like they dont even bother to clean them properly. I almost wanted to leave. I should've listened to my gut feeling because if they don't care enough about the smallest things then the rest is shit. Once our drinks finally came out. The appetizer we had order came shortly. I had to remind her about the glass of water I also has requested because she didnt bring it out with our lemonade/tea. When the food came out it was about to be 8:40pm. Felt like that was a long time for mediocre food. I got a ribeye steak and my husband got a porter house and they were disappointing. I ordered mine well done because im pregnant and usually I always get it like that but damn, this steak was dry ass hell, didnt finish it because it was bland, the mac&cheesee was also horrible. When we needed service it was like pulling teeth. It was so hard to get anyone's attention. I asked our server if we can get a refill on the tea because my husband had finished it and she would ignore it being empty. I didnt finish my lemonade because it tasted old but why do we have to be begging for refills. Like that should be something servers should be on top of, specially when working for tips. It's new and servers are still learning, but they really tried hard to be friendly and accommodating to our group of 5 ladies for lunch. We shared the stuffed mushroom appetizer and with the bread they serve it was a great starter to share. Most of us had the Lunch special which was a smaller entree salad with a choice of side or soup. I tried the steak salad medium rare and it came out perfectly. I ordered the loaded potato soup (but arrived with a loaded baked potato, which I took in a to-go box for later. They also brought me the soup) and the soup was thick and delicious. Friends ordered the chicken tortilla soup and the shrimp lobster chowder and loved those also. The staff were so very friendly and were trying so hard to keep us happy, refilling teas and separating our orders into separate checks for us. It's beautiful inside. It feels like a proper steakhouse and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. That was honestly the best part of the visit. Unfortunately, the food and service did not match the setting. There were four of us, and every single steak that came out was extremely over-salted. Our friends told us the same thing about how salty the steaks are at the Redlands location but we want to try for ourselves. It honestly tasted like a full salt shaker had been dumped on each one. It was so overpowering that it made the food hard to eat. If you are someone who has to watch your sodium intake, this is not a place I would recommend. The service made things worse. Drinks were forgotten, drinks were not refilled, and it was difficult to get anyone's attention the entire time. Staff walked by repeatedly without checking in, and even the certified trainers on the floor avoided eye contact with us. We did speak to the certified service training manager about the issue. He mentioned he is a server at the Northridge location. His response was that next time we should let them know and they could make it less salty. He acted like he was going to do something about our experience and said he would be right back but never returned. Another server later told us they receive complaints all the time about the steaks being too salty, which makes this even more frustrating. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The restaurant looks great, but the food and service completely missed the mark. Management needs to address this immediately because it is clearly an ongoing issue. read more
