I'm always on the hunt for a new lunch spot and happened to discover this chill, casual, and coastal eatery called Fins n Wings. We enjoyed some crispy fish tacos, golden fish & chips, lemon pepper boneless wings, and juicy bone-in wings. Everything was fresh, seasoned right, and underrated. The interior is also beautiful, spacious, and clean. Check it out if you're in need for a lunch spot in Orange!

Lots of choices here with different seafood or chicken dishes. They even have ceviche! I had the 7 piece shrimp and chips and my husband had the fish and chips. Both of our meals were fresh and wonderfully hot!! They offer tartar sauce with the fish, but you can also get garlic aioli, ranch, or bleu cheese. I had the aioli and it was awesome. Generous portions and reasonable prices. You order at the counter and your food is brought out to your table. We had excellent and friendly service! Cute interior with plenty of seating and a nautical decor.

We came here at a random week night when they were closing. We were delayed and felt bad that they were ready to close but they took our order with smiles and provided excellent customer service. We will be back to try the fish and chips and other flavors of the wings. The lemon pepper wings were by far my favorite of the batch. The crazy sauce was meant to be hot but although flavorful, it did not give me any heat. The food was fried to perfection. I loved the dry rub on the lemon pepper wings. I liked the coating of the tenders. We will be back to try more items on the menu and will try to get there before closing. Thank you for being so accommodating.

Tried this place out on a recommendation and came in at a slow time. It's a spacious area with enough seating for medium to large parties. I was immediately helped by the staff and they were more than happy to give me their favorites as someone who hasn't been here before. I tried their onion rings, fish tacos, and chicken wings with the Crazy Sauce. Wait wasn't too long and the server even provided us with extra sauce for the onion rings. The Onion Rings and Fish Taco was as great as I expected it to be. You could call me Sonic the way I was grabbing them rings, and you can call me "Bruce from Finding Nemo after sniffing a little bit of Dory's blood" the way I was devouring the fish tacos. The chicken wing sauce wasn't really for me. The presentation was also a bit lacking. It was a bit too tangy for my taste but I'm willing to try a new sauce. Staff were kind, food was good, and it's a place that I would come back to again to try other menu items.

We were soo excited to try this place but it didn't live up to the hype. I relooked at all the reviews and I'm just shocked. Not sure what happened here. Got the fish plate and there was hardly any fish in there. It might have been 1oz tops in each taco, really??? I'll stick to my other places. The mango salsa was frozen and cold. Not sure how you are to use this. My friend got the shrimp & chips. The fries were good but the shrimps had a thick batter. The shrimps were good if you take it out of the batter. Mango slaw was ok, heavy on mayo. It was just ok. Wouldn't go back. For the amount of fish I got in each taco, it was sad. Really wanted to like this place. Maybe we just got a bad batch. We were the only ones in there at 4. Friendly staff. But so sorry but not for me.

Me and my boyfriend ate here after our hike because I was craving some good fish and chips and that's what I got. We were recommended the fresh fish and I'm glad we went with that because it was delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly in the savory crunchy batter. I wasn't a fan of the ceviche. I like mine packed with pico de gallo. It was still good considering I don't like raw fish. The interior was very cute. Sailing at sea vibes. The guy who took our order was very nice and friendly too :)

Post-Game Stop- Fins N Wings.... My nephew LOVES wings so I told him I'd bring him here for his bday lunch after baseball and flag football this weekend. He said they were THE BEST! We got bone in wings Buffalo and Honey Mustard. The fries are better than like a Rally's fry, with special seasoning. I match it up to what I've had in Maui , served amazingly well with fish and chicken, just like in Hawaii. The fish was so fresh- I had the fish tacos . it may take some time to get your food because they make it completely fresh so be patient. It'll all be worth it once you get to take your first bite! The service is outstanding between the front counter and the back. Shown here is Mike who went out of his way to make sure every customer seated there was having a good experience. Ambiance was quaint, clean and happy vibes. Love the pics on the wall of their family making fresh fish local catches to offer in the menu .

Was a big surprise. I was looking for a place that served great fish and chips. Went on instagram and found out this place had the most videos. So, my wife and I made it a date night. Very clean establishment. You can tell they took pride in it. Quickly ordered 2 fish and chips, lemon and pepper bone in wings, and two fountain drinks. Took 8 minutes to arrive. Fish looked amazing. Wings too. What struck me was the freshness of the fish. Not a fishy taste and definitely not greasy. Clean and the right amount of batter. Crispy outside and tender perfectly cooked on the inside. French fries were awesome. Great crispy coating on outside and soft pillow texture on the inside. You could tell cooked in separate oil. Same with the wings. Perfect seasoning and not over powering. Very tasty and to me, better than BWW. Great food, somewhat good location, worth the drive

Yum yummy yum another Instagram trap!! Dropping Max off in Orange and remembered there was place I wanted to try. Oh my am I glad we did. Nephew doesn't like fish so he got the lemon pepper boneless wings. Max and I got the catch of the day fish which was halibut. So good!! This place is excellent. Everything from the food to the service is great. It's clean, and there's plenty of seating. Everything was cooked to order and piping hot. We got the Shrimp and chips, fish and chips, and wings with crazy sauce (Buffalo & BBQ sauce mix). Everything was on point. The combos also came with a side of mango cole slaw which was also surprisingly good. If I had 1 knock, it would be there wasn't cocktail sauce for the shrimp. Other that that, will definitely be back.

This place has been open for less than a month and I've already been there twice in two days! Went in yesterday and came back again earlier today because this place is that great. Yesterday, I was greeted by the owner and two front of house employees that were great. Today, the owner and another man that was working the front greeted me again and welcomed me back in. Here's what I've tried so far: **Shrimp Ceviche: Everything was fresh and popping with flavor. I highly recommend especially with your fish and wings. It's big enough to share with another person but don't blame me if it's so good that you can't share it. (5/5) **Local Fish and Chips - Halibut: I love how it wasn't greasy at all which is always a plus. The fish stayed smoking hot throughout my entire meal and it was cooked so perfectly that the meat just fell right off. You won't find a more moist and tender piece of fish anywhere else. I will also point out that the fries are hands down the best I've ever had. Amazing! (5/5) **Wings (High Tide): As a chef's favorite with a specialty sauce, I had to try it out. The pictures look great and on top, you have furikake and sesame seeds sprinkled. It's on the saltier side but the flavor was spot on! (4.5/5) **Wings (Silk Road): When I heard Arab and Indian flavors with masala, I had to try it out! Very delicious mix of flavors! Plenty of sauce was slathered on but wasn't too salty. Best wings on the planet! (5/5) **House Fish Taco: My mom had this and she said it was amazing. I believe it 100% because we have similar taste buds. She made it a combo and got onion rings. Those onion rings are to die for. Amazing presentation and quality control. (5/5) They have an amazing sauce bar with pre-filled little containers on top of ice to keep it cold. I tried all the sauces and they were delicious. The cilantro creme was on the lighter side but liked the citrus flavor from the lime. I wanted the garlic aioli to be more garlicky but still had a great flavor profile. Ranch was great. Their tartar sauce is one of the best ones I've ever tried. The highlight of the sauce bar was definitely their pineapple habanero. I used it as a little side dish because there's tiny diced pineapples with a good amount of heat to it. The man working at noon today, October 14, 2024 was awesome! Answered all my questions and gave a thorough explanation of the different flavors of wings I wanted to know about. Also overheard his conversations with other guests and he had an answer to every single question about the menu. Give this man a raise! Huge shoutout to the owner and everyone that works at this establishment. This is the first time in a very long time where I tried a restaurant that hasn't been open for too long but everybody is on the same page and knows the answer to every question related to the menu. Place is really spacious and very clean. Love the ambiance and the music plays all the hits from Elton John to Top Pop hits. Fins N Wings is easily one of my favorite restaurants in all of Orange County now. I wish this place was closer but I'll take the 15-20 minute drive here every once in a while. I hope this place is open for a long time because it's really hard to find a place like this where hospitality is 100% genuine. Try this place out and thank me later.

This brand new restaurant with an extremely welcoming atmosphere is a breath of fresh air. The decor had me feeling like i was on a boat thanks to the art and design the owners made on the wall. The tables and floors are very clean. They have tables that are high with stools and traditional tables lower to the ground. Made of nice, finished wood. On the wall next to the register are some nice pictures of the owners locally fishing for the catch being served on a daily basis. Can you get any more fresh? The menu does change depending on the local catch. Its also why they open later. The even have a Marlon fish statue on the wall. At least i think thats what it is. Very cool. The music wasn't loud and I enjoyed it. They have a single co-gender restroom. I was greeted cheerfully by one of the owners who took his time to explain the menu and the catches of the day. He also gave me recommendations on what would be best to try and with what. Their fish are cooked to order fried or grilled. The portions are not disappointing either. Im a foodie and it filled me up completely. They have a salsa bar that is well managed and made in-house. They also have plenty of drinks, both fountain and bottled but no alcohol. I had the Fish and chips. The fish was golden brown and flakey. So fresh and melted in my mouth. I also tried the fish tacos. The meals were absolutely some of the best fish cuisines ive had in a restaurant setting. Very inspiring concept of turning a hobby into a business to be shared so all can enjoy the fresh catch of the day at a reasonable price. My experience with this establishment was wonderful. I would recommend you check out this restaurant if you are looking to have the freshest and well prepared fish dishes.

Ordered through grub hub. Asked for sandwiches without coleslaw, onion rings, and boneless chicken wings. I got coleslaw on my fish sliders (I hate cabbage) and didn't receive and sauces requested. I drove back down to the store on n tustin and the restaurant is full of people seated and in line with no food. Front staff is very polite about fixing our order, but really disappointed that I had to drive back to fix it. Super frustrating. Ten minutes in and still waiting for replacement. ETA: took15 minutes for replacement. Got home to find out that boneless chicken wing sauce is random in heat levels. Last time, I got to eat some, this time; no way, too spicy. Not consistent. Truly Disappointed! We've dined here many times and we're always pleased. We dined here last night, Sunday. I ordered the Fish and Chips and my wife had the Fish Tacos. We both even paid a sizable upgrade amount for the Halibut, versus the Swai type fish. The Fish portions on both our orders were embarrassing small. We both looked at each other and said, what happened to our favorite fish restaurant in Orange. Major failure on the portion sizes and we paid a major price upgrade too!! Unfortunately, we now question whether we should return again. :) Thanks for your rapid reply, but you couldn't even see the minuscule amount of fish on the tacos, under the toppings. Yep, that's what Fins and wings is ; owned by Caleb and Mike and I think the family OMG a Pacific Grenier fish and chips are so great and the french fries superb! There's no one that knows food and is pickier than my wife and she said it was the best fish and chip she's ever had Give it a try, they've got amazing fresh fish. That's what these folks do. This place is excellent. The decor is bright & clean. The service was friendly (rare now a days) and quick. I had the fish n chips. Nice sized portions definitely not fish sticks. Clearly the food was cooked to order ( also getting more rare) because the fish and the fries were hot. I don't mean good and warm like other places are trying to get us used to, I mean that fresh hot, so delicious. My wife had the shrimp n chips. Also fresh, hot, & well portioned. Fortunately, my wife couldn't finish hers so I had to help, so yummy. I will definitely be eating here again! More seafood to try not to mention the epic looking chicken sandwich & wings. read more

Used to be much better. Very skimpy on the sauce which is the best part. Taco Tuesday deal is minimal and regular prices are high. No one else was there on a taco Tuesday night so that speaks for itself. Hope they do better and get back to where they were when it first opened. First time here for myself and my girlfriend. We are both huge wing eaters and been dying to try this place. So glad we did! First off, whom I believe was the owner was awesome. Explained the main and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Even hooked us up with some extras. As for the food. We ordered 12 wings with two sauces and the local ceviche. The wings were just right. A slight crisp to them, juicy and just the right amount of meat in the bone. The side sauces amazing! Love the pineapple habanero, definitely my favorite. 10/10! My husband suggested we try this place and I think it's my new fave. The fish was so fresh and no flavor over powers another, everything went so well together. I had the fish tacos fried ... the salsa was not too spicy and the guac was smooth and flavorful. My husband had the fish and chips (local) which was halibut for today. Delicious! First time trying and fins and wings. I have been looking for some great wings around my area and this spot is it! The team was able to find a great flavor combo for me! There's nothing like ordering a funny named sauce and not liking it lol I got to try three different sauces and they were all so different and tasty! Also, the pineapple habanero sauce and the cilantro crema were so good I will definitely be back! I also am not a big fan of seed oils and they're able to grill their fish as opposed to deep frying it! So you can keep it really healthy for the fish and the ceviche if you want! Saw Fins N Wing via social media and I have to admit, the food is top tier. Although, I only tried the Halibut Fish n' Chips I can emphatically say that this is the best fish n' chips I have had in the past ten years! The fish was fresh and flaky, the batter was light and crispy and seasoned well. The fries were good and the tartar sauce was phenomenal. I am not certain, but it tasted like it was made in the restaurant and not store bought. The restaurant itself was welcoming, clean and decorated well. The music was pleasant and the service was great. If you are in the area and have a hankering for fresh seafood I definitely recommend this spot! read more

My wife and I visited here for lunch over the weekend. I ordered the local Fish and Chip and she ordered the local grilled fish tacos. Both dishes were excellent. They also provided us a sample of the local ceviche, which was made with pineapple. Also excellent! The interior is nicely decorated and the service was exceptional. Very friendly and helpful staff. I'm a fish and chip junkie...Grew up in the UK. Craving comfort food I got the MKT (Halibut) fish and chips, mango coleslaw combo. Fish/ halibut was perfectly battered light and crisp smothered in malt vinegar , French fries/chips crunchy and the coleslaw was wonderfully crunchy. Light dressing with small chunks of mango. We came here to try the fish and chips and we were blown away by how good it was. The batter was super crispy, fish was very flakey and decent sized, and the chips were good as well! We will come back if we crave fish and chips again, next time will try wings too. I hope this place gets more attention, prices are a lil on the steeper side but you get a good meal for sure! read more

The young lady behind the counter was super helpful! We both tried fish: Hubbie had fish and chips and I enjoyed the fish tacos. One option is local fish caught by the crew down in Oceanside. It was a little more expensive with the market price yes, but I liked the option to support our local fishermen too! The food was super tasty! I'm not much of a seafood person, but I really enjoyed this. I got the grilled shrimp tacos and every bit of that had so much flavor. My wife got the fish n chips with local fish and she really enjoyed it. All sauces they gave us were so good (especially the mango habanero), and I'm glad we also got the mango coleslaw. The staff were very friendly, shoutout to whoever decided on the decoration. Not a single bad bite and I'm for sure revisiting to try some other stuff soon. read more

Walking in, the store smelled really good. The service was really good as well. The person taking the orders were very helpful in helping me choose what fish I want. They have FRESH fish and different ones as well. I got the fish and chips and even the fries were perfect. The batter wasn't too heavy and the fish was very flaky. And they gave a good amount as well. I was full off the one basket and I eat a lot. They also have a lot of other options. I did not get to try their wings so I can't speak on it. But their fish was really good and I highly recommend. Also go as early as you can. I went the night before and they were out of fish. That's how you know it's fresh! read more

My husband and I stopped in last night to check out this new restaurant. They've been open for about six weeks and feature wings and fish. The owner was at the register, welcoming and happy to answer any questions we had. We enjoyed both the boneless and bone in wings with four different sauces: the boneless wings were very lightly breaded, with big pieces of juicy, tender and flavorful chicken. The bone in wings were also delicious, and will always be my favorite. Highly recommend the Berbere rub (spicy, but not hot) and the crazy sauce, which is a combination of Buffalo and barbecue sauce. But the real star of the show was their ceviche. Yesterday's fresh fish of the day was Corvina, which I'd not had before. What a wonderful surprise - the pieces of super fresh fish were big and tender and luscious, topped with marinated onion strings and a huge pile of finely diced mango salsa, then garnished with four beautiful dollops of avocado cream. Served on a crispy tostada, it made a great presentation and looked as good as it tasted. Came here for their Grand Opening weekend. Everything was local and fresh, and they took good pride in that. They sold freshly caught fish besides the prepared menu. I came twice that weekend. First time was to try the wings, I got the crazy sauce and the high tide. The wings were well sized. The crazy sauce, I expected to be a hot bbq when it turned out to be a garlicky Buffalo with a hint of bbq. It was saucy as heck, just as I like it, and clinged onto the wings nicely. The high tide wasn't as saucy, felt like a marinade and came with a sprinkling of furikake on top. Even so, it was a bit too salty for my taste. I won't demolish a whole plate by itself, but it's good with a side of unsalted fries or a slaw to balance the soy-heavy seasoning. Again, the Fins in Fins N Wings is local and as fresh as they can get it. When I ordered I had the choice between halibut and roughy. I chose the roughy. It costed me $20. The portions are nice, with basically the entire side of the fish served over fries. With the malt vinegar and salt on the tables, it was heavenly. read more

We were craving good wings and turned to Yelp for the assist. Amongst all the regular listings for chains and restaurants we found Fins 'n' Wings. We tried it and were not disappointed. Much like the experiences already shared by other reviewers, the restaurant was clean, the owner and staff were attentive and friendly. The fish and the chicken were delicious. We tried the fish tacos and wings with four different sauces, the flavors were unique and it made it difficult to pick a favorite. The fish was caught the day before and prepared with a light batter, fresh and flaky. The chicken was tender and juicy - things you always hope for, but hardly ever get. We will be enjoying the leftovers today and we'll definitely be going back. The best part is supporting a local business and helping them succeed. read more

I have eaten here at least a half dozen times. I've tried the wings and the shrimp tacos which are my favorite. I always get a cheerful greeting when I come in and the food is always fresh and delicious. I typically get it to go and enjoy it at my office. However today I decided to dine in and I'm glad that I did. I ordered the fried shrimp tacos and they came out piping hot. The shrimp are large and tender and the breading is super crispy. The slaw and sauce is tasty as well. If you enjoy fresh food you should definitely try this place. Mike was the person that took my order and brought me my food and he's a very pleasant guy. So to start off I want to say the owners customer service is top tier no complaints there. I want to start off with the pros the fries and the in house made tartar sauce are really good, and as well as the breading. Cons the swai fish being used in the in regular fish and chips shouldn't be used due to its lack of firmness and being mushy. I would recommend switching to cod or strictly using the catch of day fish. I hope this is taken as constructive criticism rather than trying to bash on the place I would genuinely love to see the place succeed! read more

My boyfriend took me to this place saying it was the best Fish and Chips he's ever had. I personally do not like fish... but the fish and chips from this place is truly phenomenal. They also have great options for those like me who don't want fish. So far I have tried nearly all the wing flavors with my favorites being the crazy sauce and silk road. Great service and fresh fish! Not sure what else to say, but my dad and I got the whole cooked fish and it was perfectly cooked! It was moist and had perfectly crispy skin. We got the Berbere (probably misspelled) wings and they were definitely unique! An earthy flavor. I could use more salt on them but my tastebuds love salt. I ate here for the first time tonight after seeing a few good reviews online and it was as good as I had hoped! My family got the jalapeño poppers and an order of wings with crazy sauce to start. Both were excellent! The crazy sauce is their own mix of buffalo and bbq sauce, and it was tasty with a nice little kick. The poppers were super creamy, and I only wished they had some kind of sauce to dip them in, but it wasn't absolutely necessary because they tasted great on their own. Then, we got regular (swai) fish and chips, the halibut fish and chips, and grilled fish tacos for our meals. My mom said the fish tacos were good, but they looked a little on the small side to me. The two fish and chips were both very generous portions, though, and both were extremely good! They came with half a grilled lemon on the side, which I thought was a nice touch. We also got an order of coleslaw to share, which I thought was very good, and I'm not a big fan of coleslaw normally. It was open and clean, the owner was super friendly and it was pretty quiet on a weekday night, so we basically had the place to ourselves. Overall, we all thought it was an excellent dinner and we will definitely be back again soon! read more

The halibut was perfectly cooked very moist and flavorful, with that golden, crispy coating that crunches and melts in your mouth. The fries were just as good, crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, exactly how they should be. What really made the visit special was the owner. He was incredibly friendly and welcoming which made the whole atmosphere feel warm and inviting. Fins N Wings is a fantastic new fish and chips & wings spot in Orange. They took over for the previous wings spot. The owners are super friendly and passionate about fishing, and they use fresh, locally caught fish. We tried the local fish and chips, and the fish is perfectly crispy on the outside and moist/tender on the inside. The fries are super crispy, and they have an assortment of sauces. Our favorite was the garlic aioli! It added so much flavor to both the fish and the fries. They've only been open for 4 days, but they're already making a great impression.
