I give it 10 the fillet I give it a 9 Cacio E Pepe I give it a 0 I didn't like it at all The pasta was way too thick, and it was too rich, and there was little to no pepper in there .I would definitely not order that. We also had the chicken Parmesan, which I would give it a 8.5 mascarpone mashed potatoes I'll give it a 5 and the tiramisu I would give it a 8.5 Overall, it's definitely a restaurant that I would come back to and that you should definitely try. First a friend ordered a mocktail and while explaining the menu the server asked if my friend isn't drinking because she's pregnant or she doesn't drink. We were shocked. The intent was to ask that to tell her she can't have shellfish but still you cannot ask that and you cannot tell people what they can and can't have. You cannot just ask a complete stranger if they're pregnant it's so inappropriate. If we share our allergies and dietary restrictions that should be enough. Second, paid my portion of the bill with cash and she decided to just keep the change (tipping herself?) and provided no receipt. It was such a hassle getting a receipt that showed what I paid. Also she just kept the change even after bringing the receipt. Such an odd experience! We felt bad because it was a birthday dinner for our friend and that exchange altered the experience. read more

I honestly was disappointed in the food especially at the price point. My 16oz Delmonico ribeye was not well seasoned, I got a side of chimichurri but it still didn't really help, they did cook it to a perfect medium temp though. Then the Brussels sprouts weren't good either. I think they were sautéed but they had nuts, raisins, and other stuff in it. The calamari didn't taste fresh, the breading tells me that it's likely frozen. The table side Caesar salad was really good, the croutons were perfect. My cocktails were good too. I tried Pear of Aces and Smoke and Mirrors. Other people at the table did mentioned their mashed potato's were pretty good too. Service was cool, we sat at the chefs table. read more

The drinks were also very good. A glass of moscato and a ruby martini were decadent with our meal. Unfortunately the meatballs we ordered were raw. They were very visibly pink in the middle. We asked two different waiters if the meatballs were supposed to be pink in the middle. One said they think so. The other told us yes. One of the waiters offered us to take it back but we said no as long as it was supposed to be pink in the middle. However, as we cut into the third meatball it was clearly much more cooked than the other two we had cut into. We second guessed ourselves unfortunately and decided to pass on eating anymore as we were told they were made with pork and ground meat in general shouldn't be eaten raw. It's unfortunate as this place was gorgeous but I see in other reviews this restaurant has issues with cooking their meat. Did I expect to love this place? Maybe! The style seemed totally up my alley. But I really don't ever need to come back. The good: some of the dishes were really good! The shrimp scampi was pretty nice, the mushroom lasagna was great, and the bread was delicious. Also, the staff handling water and bread were excellent. The less good: this is more personal preference, but what a fussy restaurant!! Maybe the owners came across a sale on wooden boxes because if there was a way to present food and/or condiments in a wooden box, they would do it! We also watched a man make table side Caesar salad for 15 minutes. Just...not my style. Other people enjoyed it though! The even less good: as fussy as this restaurant is with bread boxes and silverware boxes and miscellaneous boxes and table side everything, we actually saw very little action from our waiter. He let dirty dishes pile up but strangely tried to take a plate that still had food on it away from us. When our entrees came, he did not come with it - some person just put the food at the end of the table and walked away. We had to rearrange it so we could access our food - this isn't a huge deal! Just an experiential thing when you're spending as much money as you're spending here. And, in a similar vein, we had to ask for fresh plates and a steak knife from someone else who did great trying to help us but I think he mostly handled water refills so that was a little chaotic. Like, it's weird they served us steaks without the steak knife but okay. When we were ordering, we asked our waiter if there were specials because he did not volunteer that information and he seemed a little annoyed we asked. We asked for more bread but our waiter seemed to have forgotten - he said it was because the kitchen ran out and maybe that's true? But he checked in with us...not at all. So who's to say since we got no update. Worse still is the steak is incredibly mediocre and the broccoli side dish is the worst $15 I've spent in a while. Oily, wet, weird, unrefined haphazard pieces of broccoli chopped onto a plate. I can and do make better for 1/5th of the price. What an odd dish. Why did they make it this way? Who is enjoying it? Why didn't they even strip the stems? I've changed my rating from 2 to 3 stars and back a few times even writing this review. I'm rounding up because as frustrating as it was, I was out of this restaurant in an hour even though it felt SO much longer since our waiter never gave us any updates. But it was fast enough. I also think some people do like the fuss and presentation so I'm trying to be kinder to something that maybe just isn't my tempo. But really, if you're coming here for vibes...sure. If you're coming here for food...there's a ton of restaurants that do exactly this in Chicago better with better service. Don't settle. read more

Fioretta was an excellent spot for a trendy steakhouse in Fulton Market. It was my first time at the restaurant. We arrived for our 8 pm reservation and were told to wait by the bar and get a drink until our table was ready. After waiting for about 20 minutes, we were seated and served. The restaurant had dimly lit red lighting, which was a great ambiance. The food was delicious, along with the sides and dessert. I tried the filet with nice crusting, the butternut squash ravioli was 10/10, and the whipped mashed potatoes were a must. It's pricey but reasonable for a steakhouse. read more

Had dinner here last night and nothing short of phenomenal - food, drinks, and service! It has a very intimate classy vibe so it's great for smaller groups or a date night out. I hear there's also live music some days which is awesome. Our server was really friendly, made great recommendations, and came by often to check on us. For appetizers had the tuna tartare which was very flavorful (maybe a little salty). The octopus was really interesting (sliced thin) and also super good. For the entree we split the prime rib (only available on Sundays) which was absolutely perfect - tender, flavorful, and delicious with the creamy horseradish. GRAB A RESERVATION AND GO! I wasn't sure what to expect with this restaurant but I did go in with high expectations because of the price point and general hype around the new establishment. It did not disappoint. It was about a 10 minute wait after our time of reservation before being seated and our waiter was very pleasant, polite and attentive which was a huge plus and made great recommendations. It was a bit loud but it was a Saturday evening so that's not surprising, they also had a live singer which elevates any space. We opted for the branzino that was AMAZING and the bone in rib-eye that looked fantastic and tasted even better. The oysters were an excellent starter and we were eyeing the seafood tower but probably will get that next time. The drinks were from their speciality list and were flavorful and well made. The Smoke and Mirrors was my favorite! We ended with the olive oil cake which was a perfect sweetness to close the night. I absolutely plan on coming back to try more! read more

Food is good. Ambience is not. Visited on a Saturday evening and was unable to carry any semblance of a conversation with table mates. At first we were sat in a crowded section which resulted in wait staff bumping into our table every time they serviced an adjacent table. Then table to our left were combined to accommodate a larger party who literally shouted across the table at each other. We gave the restaurant a try due to rave reviews from people we knew, but the experience was disappointingly not aligned with what we'd planned for. read more

With great anticipation, I visited Fioretta to celebrate my birthday. To sum up my review in one sentence, it wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. Service: Our waiter was attentive and thoroughly explained the menu options. For our appetizer, we ordered the meatballs. Upon arrival, we realized that I didn't have a fork. I was finally able to get a fork about ten minutes later. The meatballs were disappointing, as I found them to be extremely salty. Additionally we ordered a chopped salad without olives, sure enough the salad arrived with olives. For our main, we shared a Kansas City strip steak and mushroom lasagna. Without question, the mushroom lasagna was the star of the show. The steak was cooked well, although once again - very salty. The Brussels sprouts were solid, no complaints. For dessert we tried the 9 layer chocolate cake, which was just ok. It would've been significantly better had it been warm or even room temperature. Overall none of the dishes were memorable. Again, nothing was bad, neither was anything great. There are much better places in Chicago, but Fioretta is worth a try. read more

this is definitely a five-star restaurant in Chicago on the north side close to the Magnificent Mile. while I would suggest a suit and tie is recommended as the waiters are in tuxedos, We were dressed casually as we were traveling and it did not seem to be a problem. We also had a 5-year-old with us and they accommodated her quite nicely providing french fries and ketchup immediately and a drink to keep her occupied. There is an open kitchen with a flaming grill for the steaks which made for a very nice ambience. our waiter described the special dishes to us and basically ran down the entire menu verbatim and from memory. he was very impressive. We ordered a bottle of Pinot noir while we looked at the extensive menu. The menu is separated into sections such as starters, main dishes, salads, sides to go with the main dishes and their specialty items. they have a separate bar and wine menu. We were immediately served some garlic bread and dipping sauce with our water and wine while we enjoyed reading the menu. We were a group of five adults and decided to eat family style which is popular in the Midwest and settled on three appetizers and three main dishes plus we each had a little savory sampler to begin the meal. The savory samplers were cannolis, beignets, and zappolis. for our appetizers we ordered the oyster Tower which included both East Coast and West Coast oysters with several sauces and delicious meatballs, absolutely amazing meatballs. the entrees included the Florentine steak which was brought tableside and set a flame while the server roasted a rosemary sprig in the flame to season the steak. beautiful presentation. We also enjoyed the lobster squid ink pasta. very delicious. We also had a fried monkfish which may be one of the best pieces of fish I've ever tasted. My 5-year-old granddaughter was brought a delicious bowl of pasta with cheese and butter which suited her perfectly. for dessert we had a lemon tart which melted in your mouth, a delicious chocolate layer cake and a dish of gelato. reservations are required for this restaurant and the seating is arranged so that you have privacy but a view of the kitchen. Even though it is a smaller space there are several rooms and you never feel rushed or pressed for space. our waiter also took our coats to check in for us and also accommodated us by charging a phone which was on a very low battery. this place is exemplary in service, food, and you will pay the price to go here but it is definitely worth it. I don't write a lot of reviews, but there are certain places that just deserve them. This is one of those places. After reading about this place on Eater Chicago I knew it had to be one of the next places I tried and boy howdy, it did not disappoint. From the moment my date and I entered the environment was welcoming and posh. They definitely have cultivated a vibe that fits the price point. Our waitress was incredibly friendly, energetic, always had a smile on, and was clearly very knowledgeable about the menu. For food, I had the Macaroni alla Vodka - 10/10, I had no issues cleaning the plate. I also had the meatballs which are made with a blend of their beef, pork, and pancetta. They were the most tender meatballs I've ever eaten. The bread service is worth talking about in its own. It's so delicious, made in house, and served with all the accoutrements you'd expect. Despite my stomach being to the point of bursting I had to finish all of it. My date had a half dozen oysters, which were beautifully presented and served with all the usual accompaniments. For her entree, she had linguine and clams and joined me in the Clean Plate Club. We both used the remaining bread to sop up sauce remaining in our dishes. Unfortunately, we did not have room for dessert, but I have no doubt that a trip back to Fioretta is in my future. Fioretta is good, but not great - it's a solid restaurant in all facets, with attentive service, nice ambience, and pretty solid food. But the fact that as of writing this review it has a 4.4 and Gibson's Italia has a 4.2 is ridiculous (yes I know GI has way more reviews). This is basically a copycat restaurant that is slightly not-as-good in almost every way. Especially if you love wine - Gibson Italia's wine list is legitimately 5x larger than Fioretta's. Fioretta's issue is that it's not the best at anything it does, and there's a bit more 'show' to the food than truly exceptional taste / quality. We had salad, pasta, sides, and steaks. The 'tableside' caesar salad was disappointing as they didn't actually make the salad tableside - the dressing was pre-made, not made from scratch in the bowl as 'tableside' usually is at other restaurants; they just tossed the salad on a cart at our table. The pasta and steaks were solid, but there's better of both at other places (Ciccio Mio, Topo Gigio for pasta, Prime & Provisions, Bavette's for steak). Sides and dessert fall into the same category. Fioretta is worth trying, but after you do, go to Gibson's Italia, Bavette's, Ciccio Mio, and P&P and thank me later. read more

Good experience - would come back for a drink due to the ambiance. We made a reservation for Valentine's Day but ended up rescheduling it for the following weekend instead. When we arrived we did valet which was $18 to be parked in the garage and $32 to be parked in by the front door. We got to the host stand and was greeted immediately - unfortunately, when they moved our reservation they didn't keep the request for the dining room so they tried to seat us in the high tops of the bar. We told the hostess that's not going to work for our first experience and a date night (area is a bit busy/loud) and that we had requested the dining room. She showed us our reservation ticket and said "you have no specification on your reservation so you'll have to wait another 30min for the dining room." We grabbed a drink at their fantastic bar (highly recommend their Fioretta old fashioned) and then asked the manager if there was anything he could do to speed up our reservation for a table - he was super understanding/accommodating (unlike hostess) with the mistake and got us one within ~15min. Drink and bar service were great! We were seated at the table in there beautiful dining room and immediately greeted by our server. Skinny blonde guy (forget his name) who was great - super attentive, helpful with the menu, and had great support staff that quickly brought water. I honestly was impressed with the options on the menu.. limited pasta options and they don't allow you to add chicken to the pasta they do have. So, we got the octopus as an app (very good, but oddly presented in shavings, chilled, and covered in sauce/crispy chalets - I prefer the traditional way of cooking/serving it where you actually taste the octopus). For entrees we did the macaroni with a meatball, a side of the Brussels and a side of the fries. The pasta was good - no complaints, but nothing special. The Brussels were also good - slightly undercooked for my preference. And the fries were good but also nothing special. The table also comes with bread and oil/olives - it was OK and the first batch came out cold and second batch was okay. Overall, great service by the bar and dining room staff, like the valet option, the vibe/ambiance was great, and the food was okay! Would come back for a drink some time. read more

Once seated, informed us they were out of turkey dinner (was a fixed price Thanksgiving Day menu!!!) and also out of Prime Rib. Substituted a grilled ribeye that I could swear was a slice of prime rib that they put grilled marks on! Restaurant manager and kitchen manager nowhere to be seen all night. Wow! This place was incredible! What a beautiful restaurant and bar. We sat at the bar and ordered gin martinis which were absolutely perfect! In addition, the chicken was tender, buttery and crispy. Our bartender and server were so friendly and gave great recommendations for other local gems and kept the conversation flowing. I would recommend coming here! Everything we tried was very good! One point down as it was just a little too dark in here and the bathrooms were extremely unkempt. I'm excited to come back here and chat with Marco again and try a steak next time! read more
