The drive-thru snaked through the lot, turning it into a game of Tetris if you were parked and trying to get out. Inside, every table was taken, so a lot of people ended up sharing communal seating whenever a seat opened up. That said, the counter line moved quickly and the wait for food wasn't too bad. With the high volume, the turnover is excellent, so everything comes out super hot and fresh. My fries, however... well, they weren't all that "well" if you know what I mean. As a California native, my go-to is a #1 Animal Style with both grilled and raw onions plus extra veggies (basically a salad between two buns). LOL. I like my fries crunchy, so I always order them well-done--they're usually solid--and I prefer dipping them in spread. In-N-Out is a staple, so I'll definitely be back!

I've had much better fried chicken at places in Oakland, San Francisco, and a few other locations I've reviewed, but sometimes you just want something quick and convenient. This Popeyes gets the job done. Their chicken is generally pretty decent. It's not amazing, but it's satisfying enough when that craving kicks in. I've had a few occasions where my stomach wasn't feeling great after eating here, possibly from the chicken or side dishes, although I can't say for certain what caused it. One thing I find strange is their DoorDash availability. Sometimes you can order from them, and other times you can't. I have no idea what's going on with that, but it's a little frustrating when you're craving fried chicken and trying to get it delivered. Overall, this is my convenient fried chicken spot. It's not going to win any awards in my book, but it's decent, usually available, and satisfies that craving without having to drive all the way to Oakland or San Francisco. Would I recommend it? There is no one in the place, there are four (high school aged) workers behind the counter. I stood there for a good minute. Not one came over to me. The order was NOT ready in fact, they didn't even make the fries. So they started the fries and I stood there while they were cooked. Why did you tell us it was ready when it wasn't remotely ready? I went all the way back and they said "we refunded the burrito, it's only served for breakfast" First off the menu does not say this. If it's only served during a certain part of the day THEN SAY IT ON THE MENU. Second, no one thought of letting anyone know it was refunded. Just did and went on about their day of goofing off. The people at the store there couldn't give a flying yahoo when I voiced my displeasure. The last couple times we've been here the service was almost non-existent and the orders are always messed up.
