Horrible. Experience. You'd think attending this bar was safe, little did we know, while sitting at our table... 2 of the 5 purses would be stolen. We confronted the snatchers & immediately alerted the security. Unfortunately the head woman bartender told us that we were just having a "misunderstanding" after not having a single interaction with the group beforehand. They threw punches and assaulted our friends. 1 purse is an accident, 2 purses is not. Be safe going here - seems like you can take people's belongings, punch people in the face, and as long as they didn't take your purse out of the bar - it's ok. We are locals and come to Firehouse at least once a week. We love the relaxed vibe. The food is delicious and the service is always fantastic. Joseph has been our server may times. He is awesome! Some of our favorites are the ahi stack, the inferno sliders, and the pasta. The salads are also amazing! read more

It's frustrating that the only bathroom is downstairs, requiring at least a 30-minute wait to return to the dance floor upstairs.

Went to Firehouse to grab a drink with my daughter while we were in town for the weekend. When we got to the front of the line, the security asked for my daughter's ID; she was having trouble finding her ID in her wallet and took a few minutes to get it out. The security/ bouncers starting laughing at my daughter and making jokes saying "any day now." This is really disgusting behavior from grown men towards a young girl. Fortunately the bartender Caroline was very nice and attentive. She made our stay worth it. Firehouse please hire kinder people and do better. What an amazing experience it started with Paris' customer service! She is the best such a great employee!! Excellent rooftop view was nice. We enjoyed our Saturday Brunch was amazing!! my fav place! As far as nightlife goes: They have a very aesthetic rooftop and good house edm vibes. On weekends it can be busy but they usually have no cover. It is also fun in daytime, with a good view of the water upstairs. Night time crowd is mix of post grad and college. Its alway a good vibe here, you just gotta tough out the line to the top. We walked in and were rudely told by the host that it was a different happy hour and we HAD to sit downstairs to get the deal. It feels like a dark cave down there. I decided to include Firehouse as part of our girls day out in PB. We came in for a late lunch. Although downstairs has a cool beach boho vibe, upstairs is where it's at! The bouncers greeted us at the door (at 4 pm) and made sure we had a great spot. It's a rooftop deck with a view of the ocean (almost on the boardwalk). There was a DJ playing house music while we ate. The atmosphere was fun and light. We ordered a bacon burger and split it 3 ways. I was so surprised that it was actually as good as it was! I felt like I was in a cool club but the food reminded me there was more to this place. A thing to note: don't get there too late to eat upstairs. The tables are removed by 10 and the place becomes a club. Dave Matthew's popped in the week before and jumped on the DJ booth. Crowd is on the younger side (20s) but all ages pop in to check this spot out. You should too! read more

I came here on a late Sunday afternoon and was seated immediately. The downstairs was offering food service and the rooftop was super lively with a dj and bar. Our server was attentive and friendly. She made great recommendations and checked in often. We ordered the Firehouse tacos with shrimp and chipotle sauce & the Avocado BLT. We were super impressed with the portion sizes and how great everything tasted! I highly recommend these two dishes and we had plenty of leftovers. I have been a long time firehouse fan, but I enjoyed brunch for the first time this weekend. The upstairs deck was perfect for brunch, and we reserved a big table for my friend's birthday. The staff was friendly, fast, and hilarious as well! I was most surprised by how good the food was - I got the BLTA and every bite was layered with flavor. The crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato confit, and toasted sourdough with truffle aioli went so well together. The duck fat fries were also delish. There was a great deal on mimosas - only $18 for a bottle with a selection of juices. Drinks were flowing and the food was delightful. Definitely recommend! read more

I would give this zero stars if I could. My friends and I came to this bar for a fundraiser my school was hosting raising money for Rady Children's hospital in San Diego. My friends and I waited in line to use the bathroom and less than 3 minutes within getting into the stall, there are 2 workers (one being a man in the woman's bathroom) banging at the stall door screaming at us to get out. We were so confused since we had only been in there a few minutes and told them we would be out as soon as we were done peeing. The workers proceed to bang on the door and yell at us. When we finally open the door they scream at us to leave the bar and accused us of doing dr*gs in the bathroom. We were completely shocked and infuriated because we were simply using the bathroom for less than 5 mins. We left because we didn't want things to escalate but basically the workers here suck and this place is a sh*t show do not come here. read more

DO NOT COME HERE. Horrible service and security is on such a power trip. We were kicked out of the entire bar for "taking too long in the bathroom". We were genuinely in the stall for 5 minutes total. 1 minute in security started banging on the door screaming that we needed to "get the f*ck out". Half of us had not even peed yet and they would not stop banging on the door, screaming at us and cussing us out. Once we exited the stall the security, an African American man and a shorter Latina looking woman were screaming at us, mocking us, and being extremely rude while shining their flashlights in our eyes. They ended up kicking us out of the entire bar when we genuinely didn't do anything. What I think happened is that a group of girls before us were taking too long in that stall and someone reported them or said they were doing drugs or something, and security confused us with them because we came in after them. If it was a misunderstanding that's one thing but the way they handled it was not ok at all. I will not be berated, harassed and kicked out when I did genuinely nothing wrong and I'm already paying $20 each for some shitty drinks. I hope both of those security guards get fired and if I see them working again I will be taking it up with the manager to make sure that they do. read more

The music's loudness was perfect as opposed to THE LOCAL something in PB, but that's for another review. Last night we had Buffalo cauliflower and 2 drinks. It was very tasty and like my review for WATERBAR, we have to be concerned about MSG due to my wife's allergy. This bartender knew what MSG was unlike WATERBARS bartender. Food is ALWAYS so good. I usually get the Mediterranean pita wrap hut this time i got the buffalo wrap (just to try out something new and it was also SO good. Good portion sizes and the drinks, one drink can get ya feeling good. A little expensive but definitely worth it. I highly recommend the pita wrap. The ambiance is cute af. Right in the middle of PB so can hit the other bars after. Also right next to the fire station where all of the hot firefighters sit and hang out. Service was quick and speedy. Everything we had was on point. 1. Firehouse burger - Fire, burger was perfectly cooked medium. Super juicy, cheesy, and the bacon was thick cut bacon. Perfect to the last bite. To be honest we killed that and didn't really eat the duck fat fries that were highly recommended. 2. Bacon fat mac and cheese- Cheesy goodness with big chunks of bacon 3. Salt and pepper shrimp- I would recommend more than calamari. Nice and crunchy, has a slight kick especially with the jalapenos. 4. Firehouse corndogs - just corndogs, nothing too amazing. I've been going to Firehouse for years. I went with some friends on Saturday night. I asked for a soda water with a lime - the bartender charged me $15 for a SODA WATER!! A total rip off for a nonalcoholic drink that shouldn't have been charge for or at the maximum a $5 charge. This was not noted anywhere on their menu which is a violation of California SB 478 which requires transparency for pricing and consequences result in civil & criminal penalties. Firehouse - you can be reported for this violation. Do better. read more

Decided to check this place out since they were dog friendly. We were able to sit upstairs on the rooftop with our dog. We were in town for the day and wanted to check out a spot on the beach. Unfortunately, the entire upstairs was closed due to a private event so we didn't get the rooftop view we wanted so instead we ended up sitting on a couch and some big, comfy chairs at the edge of the restaurant. The interior is cozy and relaxing but also fun. We didn't explore a ton, just grabbed food and headed out, but I did notice a photo setup where you could take pictures during your time there. The menu has quite a few options but certain foods are strictly available either only before or after 3 pm. Service was quick and the food was good, no complaints. read more
