Been coming here since I was a little kid! Love the food, love the service, and the friendly neighborhood vibes.

It was pouring rain and I got there at 850P when they close at 9P (I know dick move). The staff was super cool about it. The three closers created a great atmosphere even if I was only there for 10 min. They really seemed to be making the most of their Wednesday evening at work. Even the big guy at the end of the line, you know who you are. I haven't taken a bite of the subs but this group deserves a shout out. read more

The service was absolutely horrible and the staff was not helpful. Everyone looked miserable. When asked how the new fries were - his exact words were "they're alright". Which I appreciate the honesty, but he looked bothered by the question. I wish I could rate the food, but we were so taken back by the level of roundness that we just left. read more

This is the absolute worst Firehouse Subs I've ever been to. As a former manager for this chain, it's sad. The quality control is terrible. Sandwiches are soggy, not put together and half the time they're cold. The employees seem disengaged. This location hasn't been serving pickles with their sandwiches for months. We keep going back out of convenience, but I'm done. I'll gladly drive further to another location that cares. read more

My husband rushed over after a tennis match tonight and saw the Open sign on at 8:55pm. They close at 9, but the girl told him they were already closed. Clearly they weren't closed bc he walked in. She couldn't be inconvenienced to make one sandwich though. It was not 9pm yet! Customer service is terrible here. We will not be back! read more

We ordered pick up on Halloween for dinner. My fiancé went and picked up our order. Our food was picture perfect when compared to the menu. The food was ready quick and we got it home hot. No complaints, reliable place so far! read more

Honestly, I don't see where people don't like this place. The Subs are good, they have all the drinks you could ever want. Service is very quick. The place has a touch to it, the paintings, the scenery, everything makes it look nice. It's a very nice place, hands down. I will definitely be continuing to come to Firehouse Subs P.S: It's usually not very busy so there isn't really a line to order which is very nice. read more

I had been in the Jacksonville area area visiting for about 3 or 4 days and I stumbled across going to firehouse subs. It's been a while since I've been to a firehouse subs and it was refreshing not to be havingthe usual fast food flare. When I went in to order, there was one person working And one couple in front of me. The tables were dirty and there were empty boxes everywhere. I wasn't there at closing time which I would understand if there was a lot of boxes in there putting things away for the next day but it was 3 hours before closing. When I place my order the person read it back to me I mean the food looked good it looked fresh and the ordering process was not difficult at all. The wait time was not too long maybe 12 about 14 minutes which was OK because I know firehouse subs makes it's all heated. When I got home I liked the packaging it was in a Styrofoam which probably caused them a little more money in a container where it was nicely tight and warm and hot when I pulled it out. When I bit into the sandwich I noticed there was tomatoes on there and I had specifically asked for no tomatoes.. The whole sandwich was had add tomatoes So after pulling them off and putting them to the side I eat the rest of my sandwich which I will say was really good. I would definitely come back here again if I'm in Jacksonville, however I would probably come around lunch time when it wasn't as dirty. And I know with it being not busy people have attended not focus as hard and I understand what the tomatoes. I don't believe that this store deserves a 2 star which is indicated but they have a little bit of work to do.. food is good and the place is clean but one of the workers (who was seemingly the only adult on the staff) was saying some pretty inappropriate things in front of me and my family. the other workers looked 1. underaged and 2. completely appalled. i have also seen this man be openly rude to people while they are ordering. i wouldnt be making this review if it wasnt weighing on my conscience so heavily. i hope something is done about this. read more

Our orders are typically wrong when we order from here. Mac n cheese is always ordered with bread crumbs yet only once did it arrive that way. If they are out of something they also replace it with something you didn't order instead of canceling the item. Lately, our subs are arriving undercooked. The bread is so white it doesn't look baked. We will be finding a new location. read more

Worse place ever! Five times I ordered and they got the order wrong. The fifth time not only was it wrong but it had a hair in it. Talked to the manager and was given a replacement but not only was I given a hard time convincing the clerk it was suppose to be no cost but I get it home and it had styrofoam pieces but some big piece of waxed paper type thing melted in with the cheese. I sent the management pictures and they offered another free sandwiches but I declined. Never going back! Was contacted about my review wanting my contact info. Pricey but for good reason only major con is that one guy who makes the sandwiches so all the meat and toppings roll up in a tube I hate it when he's there I go elsewhere. This place has fallen off in the last 6 months it's repeatedly let me down. It's not the food as much as the people they seem to move at a snails pace when it's busy but it's usually cause their just talking but more importantly my order has been wrong every 1/3 times and when it's wrong it's like they made it wrong on purpose like extra pep no onion and I get an entire onion on my sandwich ask for no mayo and I get it marinated in mayo, I'm totally done with this place they need to hire ADULTS not these spoiled kids. read more

My go to place when I want a pastrami sandwich. Firehouse buys the pastrami from the same meat company that the best deli's in NY buy from. You won't get better pastrami. Location is always clean and the best sandwich shop on 210. read more

Placed an online order for curbside pickup. Once our order was brought to the car, I looked at it and realized the kids meal did not include milk or the Rice Krispie treat. I walked inside to get the rest of my order, was not acknowledged by a single employee despite 6 of them being behind the counter. I walked to several different places, being acknowledged by no one. Finally said something to one of the employees and was told that they don't have kids milk and none of the stores do. Why is it an option to order if "none of the stores" have it?! I was not offered a replacement drink or told when the curbside order was brought out that they could not fulfill the order as placed. I was, however, handed the Rice Krispie treat. No explanation or apology about why it wasn't in my bag to begin with. read more

The manager here is super awesome. I was ordering food for my daughter's softball team and Doug went out of his way to help me with my order. He even had one of the employees show me how to download the Firehouse sub app so I can get points for my large order. I can get a free sub now. Whoohoo! When things got a little messed up on my end, Doug was still so courteous and helped me reschedule without any fuss. The team really enjoyed their subs. Thanks Doug! You are the best!!! read more

I placed an online order at this location. I normally really enjoy firehouse, but this time this location was very disappointing. They were busy, which I can understand and try to be patient for. My order was ready 25 minutes after the expected time. That's fine, but I would at least hope the food would be to the standards set by the other locations. Not this time. My salad was not fresh; there was a pool of water at the bottom of this "freshly made" $8 salad. The photo shows the salad - without dressing! The sandwiches seemed fine, but they didn't give pickles as requested which added to the disappointment. I hope this was just a fluke because of their busyness, but other locations at least provide salads up to expectations during their lunch rushes. read more

I've been to this location multiple times now and several issues have shown themselves on a consistent basis. First off, they cannot get my order right. I always ask for my sandwich with no pickle and only one time have they ever gotten it correct. They put mayo and other condiments on the sandwiches too. I've called the manager before and he's refunded me once because my sandwich was inedible. I don't know what to say. How many times do I go in and let them know what I want and have them screw up again and again? read more

We drove all the way across town to get these sandwiches and had to wait for customers walking out, cars to move, we were carrying a baby car seat, bikes were in the way, etc. When we finally walked in it was 9:01, they told us they had closed- 1 minute earlier. Not bad for a chain... Their whole 'hook' is how they boil the meat; which is fine... but didn't really make or break the deal for me. All the subs are toasted and warm... the meat itself seemed high quality, but wasn't impressed with the quantity of meat on the sub itself. If anything, the boiled meat; made it seem a bit 'mushy'. Overall, the subs were good... not great... but the price was definitely not worth it. If the prices were comparable to a.. Subway or even a Quiznos; I'd be much more likely to go there. Another horrible experience. Not sure why I keep coming back here and giving them a 2nd shot. Tonight I came in at 5 and placed my order to go. There was no one else in the business and the employees were not making food for other to go orders, in other words, the ONLY order they had among the 3 of them was mine. 2 medium subs, not rocket science. I sit down to wait, 15 min go by and I am now seeing them serve customers food who came in 5-10 min after i did! I finally get up and ask "can I ask how much longer? It's been almost 20 min and I have seen 3 tables be served who came in 10 min after I did!". Girl turns and says "oh? What's the name?" I tell her, and she then begins to look all around the station for the food. Finally she spots in on a counter where the toaster is. UGH. Drive home 10 min, open food up, and the Italian sub has mayo all over it. Was ordered "NO MAYO, NO MUST". The other sub is cold (from sitting on the counter all that time). Now husband will NOT eat mayo, so he returns to store to return sub and get money back. Manager was snarky and in no mood to offer apologies. Another 10 min drive back to store and another 10 min back home. Now he's pissed and hungry. Not a good combo. Not sure what it's gonna take to get shit together at this location but this is now my 2nd time having to leave a bad review. read more

Our favorite Firehouse location--by far! My wife and I arrived at 6:45 p.m. and were told it would take 30 minutes to be served. For us, that's okay--we'll wait. Went outside and sat down at a table and enjoyed the cool evening air. Went back in at 7:02 p.m. and asked for our drinks and chips and were promptly served. A few minutes later--before the 30 minutes elapsed--the young lady behind the counter finished and called our name. Not a big deal for us to be a little patient when we are assured of getting our favorite subs--each and every time. Highly recommend this restaurant, as the workers are always polite and obviously care about their customers, their product, and their employment. Keep up the great work--we'll be back! read more

Worst sub l have ever had at firehouse. I am in total shock. I ordered a smokehouse beef cheddar and cheese brisket. it was cold very dry with little barbeque sauce on it. we actually spent 22.00 for 2 lg sandwiches. I'm really disappointed. I love fire house so much. Their bread is fresh and ingredients even more fresh. So much flavor in these sandwiches my mouth is watering as I watch them prepare it. I ordered the #10 (Brisket with cheddar) and the #5 NY Style (Pastrami and Corned Beef). I got both of them made large, to go. My wife and I each had one half. I liked the #10, and the #5 was OK. They were both good, but not great. Would I go back... probably... for the #10. I am still a Jimmy Johns fan! Just wish they had one closer to Ponte Vedra. Until then,... Firehouse will have to do. Love firehouse. Hook and ladder are great. Its an overall really good sandwich shop. Typically very friendly and quick.
