I came in for a routine alignment under the lifetime alignment warranty I had previously purchased. This was only my second visit since buying the package. Out of nowhere, I was told I had a nail in my front tire, but the placement of the nail and the way it was lodged made absolutely no sense. The car had been driving perfectly, and if a nail like that had truly punctured my tire, I would've definitely felt it. Honestly, it looked staged. When I asked if the tire could be patched, they claimed the damage was "too severe" and pushed me to buy two new tires, quoting me nearly $500 for the job. I told them it felt like a scam, and the front desk guy laughed and dismissed my concerns. They never performed the alignment or the rotation I had scheduled. Their only focus was upselling me on tires I didn't need. I ended up leaving with my spare and heading to a local shop just 10 minutes away. That shop inspected the same tire, patched it up safely for $15, and confirmed that the damage was not serious. This place is predatory, dishonest, and clearly not interested in providing honest service. If you value your time, money, and safety, run the other way. read more

Scheduled appointment on 10/18/25. Dropped it off at 8:15AM for a tire change, breaks and wheel alignment. I was the second person in the morning to drop off my car. Was told it would be "a couple hours" which was what I was expecting. I had to call at 1pm because I received zero updates. When they picked up they claimed they just "are about to start" the breaks. It's now 4:45 and it's still not finished. They close at 6. It's absolutely a pathetic place. Don't come here. Didn't believe the bad reviews but guess I had to figure that one out myself. read more

Don't walk, just run next door to Sullivan Tires. The tech at Firestone didn't even really look at my tire (nail puncture) before advising me that they couldn't repair it and it would cost me $378 and a 2 day wait to replace the tire. I went next door to Sullivan and they repaired the tire in under an hour for $35. read more

Steer clear!!!! This place quoted me a price of $254.00 just to change my headlights and high beams, which is expensive. But for convenience, I said fine. I waited 2 hours after I dropped the car off, for them to call me and say it would be more. WTF! It's headlights. I have a Cadillac CTS Wagon. I've gone here for over 10 years, sworn by them in MA and FL. Took my car in to fix a tire that was leaking, worn on the outer part. I had purchased the warrant so I thought worst case replacing the tires at a prorated cost. Nope, no fix to the tire, won't rotate, and won't replace. It would cost approx $800 to replace them. Warranty meant nothing because they hadn't been rotated there every 5,000 miles. I was told they had 40000 miles on them so pay 2/3 cost let's say. Not once was it stated that needed to happen. I had another fixed, at that time had they said "you should get a rotation to stay in warranty". Nope fixed it no problem that was around 25000 miles on them. I've been loyal to them for years but there was no loyalty to me. I had tricked myself into thinking there would be. Would not recommend getting tires there or anything else at this point. They were quick with their service and even let me leave my car there for a bit longer when I couldn't make it back sooner to pick up my car. I went there to repair the nail for the passenger left tire. after 30 minutes done. I just get on my car and go home. I did not check the tire because raining outside. I found out the nail still in the same place next day. I went there again. they lie to me they fix the driver side. They lie. I said where is the plug? my driver left tire never repair. then the supervisor take the tool go to my car. he try to take out the nail, I say no, don't take it out. if he take it out, you have to buy two new tire in his store. he smart. after they give me money back. Needed to get a tire changed through Tirerack. After confirming delivery I called to schedule installation. Made an 8:30 appt and arrived 10 mins early but was told I would have to wait 2+ hours. Was actually out in 90 mins and the whole service was under $25. Very pleased! Only negative is that the waiting area is very barebones - no coffee, no cups for the water dispenser. read more

I had to take my car in for servicing this morning and again the staff was incredibly helpful and did not talk down to me. I called them at 9 AM when the store opened (on a Sunday) and the attendant said to come right over to have my car radiator looked at. The internet scheduling system had not listed any available appointment for today, so I was quite happy to have my car seen. The staff was wonderful at explaining what needed repair and how much it would cost. They did not try to up sell me by pressuring me to make additional repairs. (I live in Allston. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS: I have reported this business to the better business bureau. I bought new winter tires at this location and had them installed for me. During the install the salesman proceeded to tell me that all four of my brakes on my recently purchased car needed to be replaced since they had only 2 weeks of life left on them. He tried to convince me to schedule a follow up right then and there for them to be replaced. He even went to far as to bring me back into the shop while my car was raised up and lie to me and try to explain his lie while pointing out things on the brakes that nobody would know unless they were a mechanic. I luckily was in doubt because this was a recent used car purchase from a reputable dealer. I refused to schedule an appointment and proceeded to bring my car to both the dealership and a reputable mechanic I have a lot of trust in. Both other locations verified that all four of my brakes had a majority of their life left and there was absolutely no reason to change them or be concerned. I came here and was in a hurry, also willing to wait because I knew I needed maintenance, I told Travis that I was in a rush and he squeezed me right in! I needed a new battery and they were out of the ones that were apart of a coupon, he found me a better battery that was only about $10 more. Travis also recommended that I have my cords and wires checked; thank goodness because a key component in the hood was rusty and broken. He replaced that and it wasn't an expensive part for the car. The experience was pleasant and he was very professional and informative; I would take my car there again to be serviced by him. read more

Firestone, Comm. Ave Boston replaced my outer tie rods ($75 each) on my 300k mile Lexus, charged $1000 in late 2020. Jan 2023, fails inspection, cause: outer tie rods. Had a great experience working with Andre to replace a flat that occurred the night prior. He was very clear in explaining my tire options and providing his recommendations/POV on repair needs without being too pushy or me feeling like he was upselling me. We decided to not replace a part and he gave us a good idea of when we would need to and how that would align with additional service needs. We came early in the day (before 8am) and replacing 4 tires and a free alignment check took about an hour, which we spent at Blue State Coffee across the street. It took an additional 45-60 minutes to go over the alignment check results, discuss other handling issues, have the team check for worn out steering/suspension components, discuss the options for care/replacement, and perform the alignment. We spent this time in the waiting area, which has a armchair seating as well bathroom, A/C, phone chargers, water, and a soda vending machine. read more

Great customer service! I really appreciated the care the staff gave me when going in to replace all four of my brakes a few weeks ago. While the repair took longer than I had anticipated they kept me up to date with the status of the car while I waited and let me know what repairs were absolutely necessary. Terrible customer service, terrible quality of work. They are friendly at first, but quickly stop caring. I can't say if they like to give the old runaround, or are just inept mechanics. Not once was my vehicle ready on time. I usually do my own auto work, but thought I would try an oil change for convenience. An oil change/tire rotation at this Firestone ended up taking 4 return visits - they "forgot" to rotate my tires, they somehow broke my dipstick, the dipstick "wasn't shipped" when they thought it would be, then their mechanic was unable to replace dipstick tube once I said that I would not "split costs" with them. I was advised to not worry about the broken dipstick tube, as it wouldn't matter. Wrong, guys. An engine runs under neg pressure and road dust would be sucked straight into the crank case. Then I was handed a $1700 list of "recommendations" that they wanted to do to my car. Sorry. Poor communication the whole time regarding the work. The staff is young and seems very inexperienced. This is my first 1 star review and hope that it is my last. I am so disappointed with this shop. read more

I like the fact that I was able to tow my car here for a blown out tire. They serviced me without an appointment. They customer service was really nice and talked with me on several occasions about pricing, but I felt that it was still too high. I thought they had discounts from what they told me and when I got there they didn't. One thing I was super pissed about was expressing what I wanted and they screwed it up. I had to wait an extra half hour. I told them I wanted to get a spare and a new tire and they completely forgot that I wanted a spare. Overall I would go back here again. I knocked off 1 star for screwing up my service and 1 for screwing me on the price. read more

I bought two new tires as one was badly punctured. They put on wrong sized tires - 225 rather than 235. When I brought the car back, they gave me no explanation other than things like that happens. They said they'll call me back when replacement tires came in, which they didn't. They don't pick up phone and when they do, calls are dropped. No call back when car was ready. When I picked up the car, one tire was over inflated and other was under inflated. Also, cap was missing on one new tire. No way I am going back. read more

They are liars! I sent my girlfriend to fix a flat tire that was suppose to cost not more than $20. They told her (and afterwards me on the phone) that I need a new tire for $170 because it's not safe to put a plug. This ir ridiculous because the nail was in the middle of the tire! I've been repeat customer for years. TWO THUMBS UP TO Kyle(store manager), Andre(supervisor), Jesse!!!! They always make sure that they try to provide best possible service and are only recommending service if they feel that the service is required to keep the car running safely. Once, i asked to check and quote me on price for brake job, they told me that i still had enough life on my brake and not to waste my money yet. I had purchased 255/45/18 size tire, Turenza Serenity Plus to be exact as they were recommended to give me quiter ride without loosing too much performance. Granted they are performance tire, rather grand touring tire so I was expecting plush, more quite ride. That was not the case and tire was very harsh and noisy, i opted to swap out for Potenza S-04 in same size. They didn't give me any problem/question and replaced it and been happy. I had my alternator replaced by them with OEM part when all dealers were closed during heavy snow storm of 2014, had battery replaced and warrantied few times and also purchased winter set of tires as well. I initially had awful service with this store in particular because the tire/wheel set purchased thru tirerack that got shipped here were damaged while putting on my vehicle. This store & firestone co owned up and reimbursed me for the damage and been very professional about it. read more

I spent 6 hours having my rear brakes done. The emergency brake was supposed to have been fixed or adjusted at the same time, but It wasn't. I returned the following day because something was loose and rattling in the right rear wheel. I returned the next morning at 8:00 am to have my vehicle checked and repaired. No mechanic and told to come back at 9:00 am. Now I am sitting and waiting for the improperly done repairs to be corrected. 8 hours into this basic repair process and no telling how much longer this will take. I'm a long time firestone customer. Mainly because I travel a lot but also because they've done good work with me. This is of course outside of Miami. That city is just a gold mine for people trying to play each other. This location was easy to find and on a weekday at 10am was not THAT busy. I made an appointment for an oil change, tire installation, and possibly a new battery. I had a friendly mechanic who went over all my info. After about an hour they confirmed that my battery was fine but recommended doing a fuel system cleaning to help with the cold cranking. Then he went down the stock they had on tires and prices. He showed me what they had so I knew he wasn't just making it up. I went with a mid range tire and the price was right around what I thought ($135 a tire). It did take longer than expected. I got there at 10:30am and expected to be done by 1pm. I didn't get the car back until closer to 3 I believe. That's of course after adding the fuel system cleaning that takes 20 minutes, according to the mechanic. Fortunately for this location, they have many places to eat and other places to check out while you wait. I'm writing this about 2 weeks after my visit and my car is still fine. I would come back if I needed to. read more

It's pretty freaking tough to feel decent about auto repair chains. Let's admit that up front, eh? That said, I've never felt cheated by these guys. I take my car in for a complete workover about once a year; most times, they just recommend the standard oil-filter-tuneup combo that only costs a hundred bucks. Recently, I needed quite a few not-at-all-minor repairs. They explained each of the repairs they were recommending, but they didn't push me to get anything done. They were quick, dealt well with my complicated schedule, and let me know what might be wise in the future, all without making me feel stupid or pressured. Cars require work. Mechanics differ on opinions of when it's best (or essential!) to get work done. These guys acknowledge that and offer as much info as they're able.
