I made an appointment online three days in advance for 4 new tires, an alignment, an oil change and fuel filter replacement for my car. Upon arrival I was told that only 2 of the 4 tires were there (my car has staggered wheels and needs 2 different size tires for front and back). The gentleman assisting me was quick on the draw and had the other 2 tires picked up from a neighboring store within the hour. He also explained the bill to me very well. That was the extent of my satisfaction however. I also noted to him that my car had recently had the brakes done elsewhere and that the driver's front caliper was making noise, possibly due to a loose dust shield or loose pad and to please look at that as well as long as the wheels were off. He said he'd make a note of it. After sitting there for a total of 3 1/2 hours (my appointment was for 4PM and car was finished at 7:30 I had my car brought up to me. The front caliper still making noise. I asked the tech if he had looked into that issue and he said no and that there was no note of it. The initial gentleman that I had asked to do so had long since left. No problem, I went home. It was dark outside and I couldn't see my car that well. The next morning I walked around my car to inspect the work done and lo and behold I see a very large and deep scrape into the chrome lip of my left rear rim. My rims that were absolutely pristine prior to the service. I then popped the hood to verify that the oil had actually been changed to find that it had indeed been changed as it was very clean but it is just barely within the operating range on the stick. And yes I know how to properly read an oil stick and no I do not have an oil leak. I did not bother to complain about the rim as I am doubtless that I will be told it must have been there already despite the fact that I am OCD about my car and know every inch of her like my own back of my hand, and the oil is hardly worth the drive back. I just went to Pep Boys and bought a quart and finished the oil change myself. All in all This store will never get another dime of my money. I paid for lifetime alignment from this store and I will be showing back up regularly for that service but anything that involves anything more than the alignment and that would cost any money will be done elsewhere. And when I do return to this store for my alignment I will stand there and watch them the whole time they are handling my car. read more
