BOO! I hate this place. Took my Lexus here last month to take advantage of the $14.99 oil change coupon. And the dude (big mexican guy) asks me very specific questions (when he's suppose to walk his ass out there and inspect the vehicle himself). That's his job. Is your car a AWD or RWD? What's the mileage? Is it 17" or 18"? All the while giving me an arrogant male maintenance look like as if I a female should not be driving. I still went through with the $14.99 oil change and that's the only reason I will ever come back is for the $14.99 oil change, thanks to the big man. During inspection, supposedly I needed to replace my tires (quoted $700 for two tires) and some other random BS. I know I needed to replace my two front tires after visiting the Lexus dealership but seriously $700?! That's how much Lexus quoted me. PSsHH! I think not. Went to America's Tire Co instead only $300. SMH. I really despise Firestone. This is for Firestone at 8055 Orchard Loop, Elk Grove, CA 95624 As I was driving my mom across town to get to Kaiser South Sac, the tire pressure light came on. Shoot! We made it safely to the hospital, so after the appointment we searched for a tire shop nearby to get the problem fixed. We pulled up to Firestone, and the store manager told me to pull around right away to get someone to look at our tires. A really kind young man named James stopped what he was doing and helped me immediately. I went back into the store to settle my bill, but the manager told me there wasn't a bill. I dug out all the cash I had and asked if he could give it to James for his help, but he said they were just happy to help me. Wait, what?!? Firestone, you were so kind to me today. They did not balance my rear tires and it cost me a lot of trouble in my next tire rotation and alignment. I had a service there last 11/28/2014. I bought four tires. So I expect them to balance every wheel since it was a lifetime wheel balancing and alignment package. Unfortunately, I found out that the rear tires were just replaced without wheel balancing. When I did a tire rotation and balancing at El Cerrito, CA, after 5k miles, the car was swerving to the left. I returned it the next day just to find out that the problem was just wheel balancing. This could have been done when I bought the tires. Lucky I gave them a star but wasting two days to have my car serviced is not a joke. Furthermore, 5k miles of unbalance rear tires is not good. I don't admire fast jobs for it usually misses something important. So next time they change your 4 tires, make sure they balance all of them although it does not makes sense since it should be a protocol to do that. read more

I moved to Elk Grove in 2017 and was looking for a place to have my 2 cars serviced . Found Firestone was only a mile from my house, which was great because if I has to leave my car, I could just walk home. Well to be honest the convenience of it being 1 mile away was they only good thing about Firestone. It never failed, every time I brought in 1 of the cars, I would pay for a service and they would not do it or they would break something. Bring it in for windshield wipers, pay for it go test the wiper and they didn't change them. Bring it in for a oil change and they broke the front grill on my car. They have a service that you pay $9.99 and they are suppose to go over the car to see if there are any problems. I pay for it and they give me the car back saying everything is fine. Take it home, the next day, I pull out of my drive way and there is a puddle of radiator fluid under the car. I check under the the car and the hose clamp on the bottom of the radiator is lose. The final straw that made me stop going there, well I thought it would be the last time was would go there, was my daughter came to visit from the Bay Area, the day she was to leave, she had a flat tire. Now the tire that had a flat was only a year old, a year before she had a hole in the side wall, which of course you can't repair so she got a new tire. The other 3 were at the warning. So she knew she had to get new tires when she got home. She has a place in the Bay Area that she trust. She takes it to Firestone and they tell her that they can't patch it because she needs new tires. She explains to them that the tire with the hole is new. They still wouldn't patch it, they kept teller her that the tires are at the warning mark and they can't patch it. So, she had to buy new tires. Plus, they said she had to purchase a front end alignment, even though they haven't even check the alignment and there were no signs of uneven wear on her tires.So, that was the last straw, I thought. 2 weeks ago, I had to go get my car Smoged for my registration, I take it in and it failed. Why did it fail because the last time I took it in they checked my air filter and didn't put the air box back together correctly, so there was a big gap. I take it back to Firestone, I have my last 2 receipts with me 1 at 7000 miles ago when they did actually change the air filter and 1 2000 miles ago which I assumed they checked my air filter. So this has been like this for 7000 miles or 2000 miles. Either way, this is not good for the engine letting unfiltered air into the engine. Of course when I told him what happened, the first thing he said was, are you sure you didn't take this somewhere else. Why don't you look at my history, you can see that all of my services sense 2017 have been done here. Then I said that it can't be good to have unfiltered air going into the engine, his reply's, are there any warning lights on, I go no, he says it fine then. They did fix the box, but my concern now is, what kind of damage did this could have done to the engine. This isn't something you are going to see right away, this could be something that happens down the road years from now. I think in general, people are willing to pay for good honest service but clearly there is something wrong with this Firestone and with a rating of 21/2 stars, I can't believe that Firestone corporate hasn't looked into this particular Firestone to see what is going on. Or maybe this is how all Firestones are ran and they are ok with it. I will be contacted Firestone corporate because I can't believe that there was no damage done to my engine. read more

If I could leave zero stars, I would. DON'T GO HERE. We've been buying our tires and getting service here for years and it's always been terrible for timeliness. Even if you set an appointment, expect to wait 3 or more hours and don't expect them to care that you are upset. Firestone has good tires and good prices so we've just suffered through it all these years assuming all Firestones would have the same poor customer service. Yesterday was the final straw for me. The lady was insensitive and rude. I left there after two hours because she said it would be another hour before my car would even be started. I emailed a formal complaint and talked with someone in a chat session. The chat representative, Brittany was excellent and helped me set another appointment with a different Firestone location. The manager, Johnny at the Firestone on Folsom Blvd in Rancho Cordova set me up with an 8 am appointment and promised I would be out of there by 9:30. I arrived at 8. Johnny was professional and clearly respected my time as valuable. They took my car in right away and it was done at 8:50. DON'T GO TO FIRESTONE ON ORCHARD LOOP IN ELK GROVE. GO TO FIRESTONE ON FOLSOM BLVD IN RANCH CORDOVA. You will be done so much faster and they are professional & value your time. read more

I bought a couple of tires from Tirerack.com, made an appointment to have them installed here and also got an alignment. From drop off to pickup was about two hours. Not too bad. 1st visit Good job on an emergency (towed in, no appt.) repair to broken fuel line. Cost - reasonable. Speed - good for an emergency. 2nd visit Routine maintenance. Replaced F rotors. Cost - reasonable Speed - very good Problem - greasy mechanic left vehicle greasy. I had to call it to their attention. They were very apologetic and cleaned up well. 3rd visit Routine maintenance. Replaced R rotors (ps - they were right at 2nd visit: I likely should have replaced them then as they were squealing almost the entire interval) Cost - reasonable Speed - good 4th visit New tires (4 Bridgestones). Alignment (4-wheel, lifetime). Cost - excellent! Speed - very good Likes: 1) The $20 (mandatory?) inspection they do before they do the final consult and work order write up. b) The list of upcoming planned maintenance they give you with your visit's work documentation. This was my first time bringing my car here. I came for a front and rear end alignment and walked out with their lifetime alignment plan. The service was awesome. The man helping me was really nice and completely generous and even gave me a discount! Can not perform an alignment for my truck. Equipment limitations, I actually had my truck towed here and wasted my tow.

My pick up had the brake warning lights come on, the owner's manual said when this happens you need to take notice or you could have brake failure. So off to Firestone I went , made a appointment online for the next day, showed up on time and I got right in. Anyhow long story short they took a look at my truck made a few adjustments and the lights went out. Only problem a few days later they came back on, went back and they went back through the entire brake system and couldn't find the cause, Pat the manager didn't hesitate or try to jerk me around, gave me my money back and said I should go to the dealer. I brought my car to this place for oil change and fixing coolant system. I am not a person who complains about small things like waiting time or seating area. However, I felt that it is absolutely unacceptable to be careless w/ all the important details. THEY USED THE WRONG SIZE OF CLAMP FOR THE TUBING LEADING TO COOLANT RESERVOIR. And that resulted in the tube was loose. The coolant fluid was all out. The engine was super heated. I got bogged down in the middle of the freeway. Well, what happened happens. I happened to be in the area with some time to spare, so my oil change was an impulse. As I waited for my vehicle to be ready, I was dismayed to see some on the negative reviews here - and was glad that it was not my experience. As I pulled intoi the parking lot, I saw that they were busy, and I was advised that there were three vehicles ahead of me, and the wait would be 60 - 90 minutes. I opted to wait - and the vehicle was delivered back to me in 59 minutes! The price was reasonable and the staff personable. All that stopped them getting 5* was that my invoice was delivered with a list of 'recommendations' with associated quotes - instead of them addressing these immediately after the inspection. As a result, they lost my business for a wheel alignment. My experience here would not cause me to not use a Firestone store again. read more

If you want good service and save yourself times on arguments, go to the different location in Stockton, where you will expect better customer service, positive attitude and a smile face. My opinion has changed. While I still think our vehicles should have been fixed correctly the first time. one thing this Firestone has going for them is that they stand by their guarantee. Agree with previous reviewer on alignment issues. I purchased lifetime alignment services for 2 vehicles in my family. So far I have had each one aligned twice. Only once out of those four times did I *not* have to take it back to have the steering wheel recentered because it was off considerably. They did fix it right away each time but I shouldn't have to be their quality control department. If you're expecting to wait while your car gets aligned, expect several hours. Both of my cars can only have the toe adjusted. This shouldn't take 2 hours to complete. read more

There next door neighbor Firestone managed by Patrick Ogeerally was a great experience and has been a breath of fresh air. He gives competitive prices and most of all and most importantly is the awesome customer service that he and his staff give to a customer. I have been coming here for years because I was happy with the service and trusted the Advisor who usually helped me with both my cars. He seems to have left this shop and a new guy named Chris is now there. I am sorry to say that I no longer trust coming here for service. First off, this guy Chris talks and talks and goes into unnecessary detail about how you need to pay for diagnostic services, for what "might" be a problem, even though your car is not showing any symptoms of said problem. Big red flag. He tries to scare you into paying for what amounts to a fishing expedition. He suggested disassembling some parts so the mechanic could see if they "might" be damaged. I thought maybe I wasn't understanding something and when I asked a simple yes or no question I got a whole dissertation on what might be a problem and could happen if I didn't pay for them to disassemble parts so they could see if there is any damage. I talked to some friends who know more about cars and they advised me against it. So, I went back and asked him to only replace the part that is actually damaged. He was visibly angry and walked away in a huff. When he returned I said to him that when he removed the part to replace it he would be able to see if there is any additional damage and he could let me know then if anything more was needed. His response was, and I am quoting, "No, I am only going to replace that part and will not do anything else because that is all you are asking for." How shady is that? I also asked about my tires not being rotated during the last oil change and he said they will only do it if I ask. In summary, he will advice you only when it results in you paying hundreds of dollars, but if it's a complimentary service he will only do it if you ask. He also advised us to pay for them to do a diagnostic check for leaks when the car is not leaking anything. We park in the garage and see absolutely nothing leaking! What a rip-off! I heard him on the phone with other customers and he does this same thing over and over. read more

Every time you call, they always have to place you on hold. Not a good or bad thing but I understand why. The different times I have been there, it can be only one person at the front juggling a few tasks at the same time and the phone is constantly ringing. Although with all that they have to do, they have a very nice attitude. Always welcoming and acknowledging that you are standing and waiting. I have dealt with Pat who is very nice and very clear when he explains details of what has been done and or recommends what needs to be done. There is also (2) female attendants that I have dealt with in different occasions (my apology for not remembering their name) but it's nice to have a female represent in a male dominated industry. NOW, what bothers me is why it takes 2 hours for an oil change when you have an appointment. I know it's oil and filter and whatever else comes along with that which is not much. Yes they do say it's going to be 2 hours, WHY??? It's not like I'm getting a lot done. I continue to go to Firestone for different reasons but I may need to re-evaluate. read more

I brought in a total of 2 vehicles in today for a vehicle inspection. Both were failed. The first vehicle which was a 07 escalade was failed bc the technician said the two front tires were 2% less thread of what was needed. Second vehicle was a Lincoln town car. This was failed bc there were two small, I mean extremely small window chips on the front windshield. Secondly they said they rear of the vehicle was "sagging". The car has rear air suspensions. The back end rises after starting the car. I'm guessing the techs did not know this. I took the escalade to les Schwab and asked them to see the percentage of the tire thread. The techs there said that had no idea why it was failed bc there was more than enough % of thread. Second vehicle the Lincoln I took to another place and they told me the chips were not even considered chips bc they were so small. As for the sagging rear the techs laughed and said " what kinda placw did you take it to?" This place wasted my time. The staff obviously was not knowledgeable. UPDATE 08/05/14 3.5 Stars Within minutes of posting this review and leaving Firestone, I received a phone call from Pat, the store manager. I was on my way to Toyota to get my oil changed and decided to wait until I had completed the service at Toyota before calling back so I had time to think about what I wanted to say. As I was getting ready to leave Toyota, the service rep went over the services performed on my vehicle and mentioned they had filled my tires which were quite low. I thought I was hearing things - I had literally driven straight from Firestone to Toyota, less than a 10 minute drive, and was being told my tires were low. They hadn't bothered to fill them at Firestone. Despite this being a basic service element in a tire rotation they left the tires clearly low. I called Pat back and expressed my concerns, including my newfound concern about the tire pressure. He apologized profusely and asked for an opportunity to rectify the situation, both by talking to Chris and by balancing my tires in their store at a time convenient for my schedule or by paying for me to go elsewhere to have it done. I greatly appreciated his care and concern over creating a satisfactory situation. We arranged for me to come back and have everything finished up. I went in the following Monday morning (yesterday) and everything was taken care of and he gave me a card good for a free oil change next time I come in. I have updated my review to 3.5 stars for the following reasons - 1. Excellent follow up by store management 2. The need to come back and spend yet more time in the store 3. The additional issue I found with not filling up the tires the first time around One final observation - Both Pat and Chris thought I needed a vehicle inspection ($20) due to possible brake issues which I had refused, as most places will perform such an inspection for free. When I brought the car back to have the tires balanced this would have been a great time to do a complimentary vehicle inspection (instead of giving me an oil change) and gain my business if I did in fact need brake servicing done. ************************************** Original Review - I have had a yelp account for quite some time, yet this is only the second time I have felt necessary to write a review. I purchased the alignments for life for my vehicle in 2008. Every 6 mos - 1 year since then I have taken my car in and they have rotated and balanced the tires and done the alignment as part of the package. Every time I left a three things were completed at no cost to me. The service had always been somewhat slow, but not horrible, so I tolerated it. Until today. This morning I called to ask about an appointment. I was never given an answer as to whether appointments were available today or not and was highly encouraged to be a walk in customer. When I got to Firestone, there was only one customer service rep working and he had a line three people deep. A little over two hours later, another customer service rep, Chris, asks the first one " Is (last name) REALLY still here?" I replied that I was. Then Chris tried to talk me into a vehicle inspection (most places will do this for free, but they wanted to charge $20), which I had already refused. Then Chris tried to talk me into paying for a rotation and balance. Something that should be COVERED by my plan and ALWAYS has been in the past! I refused and stated it had always been covered in the past. Chris finally agreed to do the rotation but refused to balance them and tried to talk me into doing the balance at a charge. I refused again. Then he said that I may not have time to wait for the tires to be rotated, and it would be at least another 30 - 45 min. Chris was clearly not happy about not having a paying customer in front of him (despite the fact that I paid $500+) for this previously in order to have the lifetime service! It was utterly appalling. The real kicker came as I was sitting in the waiting room. I listened to Chris on the phone with several different customers. When it became apparent they weren't fully understanding what he was saying, he talked really quickly about something that he "wouldn't necessarily recommend at this time, but what have you done to take care of this, because it really needs to be taken care of." Taking advantage of customers confusion like that is absolutely shameful. The clear manipulation I saw today made me embarrassed to even be a customer here. I'm sorry to say the customer service here has gone downhill. I've been bringing my truck here for several years since it's near my house, I can usually drop it off and walk home. A month ago I took my truck in to repair a leaking tire. This is a tire that I purchased from these people that got a nail in it and started leaking on my way home from work. I had already taken the wheel off (had to put the spare on so I could drive home) and dropped it off thinking I'd just pick it up later. Came back around 4pm (not one call) and found out they hadn't fixed it. Asked them why and they said that the tire is non-repairable and needs to be replaced. Tire has only 10k on it and I knew the leak was from a nail in the tread of the tire. Asked to speak to a manager and got the same run around, "my tech know's his stuff, if he says it can't be fixed then it can't." ...I declined to purchase a tire, went across the street to BIG O and they fixed it on the spot for $10. The guys there said there was nothing wrong with my tire, just a nail and that I should be good to go. I went back to Firestone to speak to a manager and just got brushed off. "Danny" fielded a telephone call from me and took ten minutes looking up the info on my 2011 Suburban and confirmed that they would honor thier 23.99 oil change coupon for synthetic oil. May 30, 2013 I have been a preferred customer for over 10 years at Firestone Complete Auto Care. Over the past 5 years I have notice a negative change in the company in regards to customer service down to the service on my vehicles. March 10, 2013 9:28am I took my car to Firestone Complete Auto Care located in Elk Grove California. I requested an alignment check (life time warranty) as well as a battery Installation. During my visit it was a red flag that the technician finished my vehicle in less than 25 min, as I found this to be odd with current visit taking hours to complete service. March 15, 2013 6:30am I seem my life flash before my eye when me vehicle caught on fire( while driving) due the battery that was installed in the vehicle days before. When The City of Sacramento (fire department) arrived, the first question that was asked me was, "have you recently have had work done on the vehicles." I responded back with, I just had a battery replace from Firestone, the individual said that it clearly look like this was the cause of the fire. Losing my car was has cause a hardship, heart break as this was a unreplaceable gift from my great grandmother who is now deceased. I thought that Firestone Complete Auto Care would have taken full responsibility with my total lose and recent repairs( breaks, routers and tires) but all I have gotten from the corporate office is excuses and offerings of $2,500 for my vehicle when my car was worth $5,600. I now am now dealing with Post Termatic Stress every time I smell fire or it's windy out side from trauma/ panic attract that I have been left with. Thank god my insurance company took care of me to there best ability.Even thought Firestone Complete Auto Care has taken responsibility for this incident. They have not compensated me with my total lost at the end of the day . I believe that Firestone could have and would have taken my life if it was't for the "Grace of God". I feel that the teqnitions are not fully qualified and treat consumers like a in and out burger joint that can take your life at the end of the day.
