I just want to honor their willingness to be a benefit to the customers. I had a fix-it ticket for a license plate that I didn't have on my car bumper. I stopped by here on my way to the California Highway Patrol office to see if I could borrow tools to slap my license plate on. Tony was very willing and enthusiastic, and gladly gave me a hand with that. Of course, at no charge. But I was thankful for the quick few seconds of service he was willing to give even though he was slightly busy at the moment. It was a great reflection of how their business is averaging almost 5 stars in every review. It goes to show their level of professionalism in the customer service they provide, and I'm sure that they excel in other areas of their service as well. My car's heather on driver's side was blowing cold air. They fixed over $1,000. A rip off. It stopped working 2-3 months later. When I took it back, the guy ( the son of the owner) refused to look at it. Him & the old guy ( the father ?) made a tag team saying they had fixed the passenger side. There was no problem with the passenger side. This " father & son" incorporation seems to be a full scam. Wouldn't recommend it even if they're the only mechanics in California. The old man asked me to sign a waive so they could look at the car. That looked like he was collecting documentation for his claim that they had worked on the passenger side. Just my luck, I see a flat tire. Luckily, I was still at out apartment, and I had AAA change out and assess my tire. He told me to just replace it. I saw that this place is nearby so I drove there as I have to be somewhere later. I was desperate on getting this done. Velvet was nice and went through all my options price-wise easily. She couldn't guarantee how long it would take, but they would get on it asap within the next hour, and as soon as the other guy comes back from lunch. Shortly after she processed my paperwork and after 10 minutes, a guy had already taken my car. They finished earlier than the approximated time on my receipt. I have the worst luck with flat tires. Discovered a nail in my tire last Sunday at 4:00 PM. My first thought- "Damn, are any shops even open?" After scrolling through Yelp, I discovered this Firestone less than 2 miles from my apartment. Open till 6:00 PM on Sunday? On my way. Antwoine was helpful in assessing the situation. He gave me a few options to choose from and provided his candid opinion on each. I purchased a Bridgestone tire at a decent price and was told that my car would be ready by 6:30 PM. It usually doesn't take two hours to change a tire, but there were at least 4 other cars ahead of mine. After doing a little shopping nearby, I came back just before 6:30 to discover that my car was good to go. I got exactly what I wanted- quick, honest service at a competitive rate. It takes a lot for me to write a bad yelp review, but here we are. I have taken my car back to this place 4 times to fix my low brake pad sensor. (First time) - I took the car for a brake pad replacement as they were low. They replaced my brake pads and returned my car. After driving for 10 minutes, my low brake pad light came back on. (Second Time) - I discovered a nail in my tire and needed a patch in the tire, so I went back since the brake pad light was still on and still needed to be fixed. I show up at noon and drop the car off, and they call me at the very end of the day to come get the car. When I show up, its the last car they worked on as they are shutting down the shop, and sure enough they did not look at the brake pad sensor as I requested, but only patched the tire so they can go home. (Third Time) - I take the car back after a few more weeks of getting sick of my brake sensor staying on, and drop the car off again. They call me later to tell me its been fixed under warranty and they replaced the sensor. I drive away, and 5 minutes later the sensor is back on, so I call and make another appointment for 2 days later and am told that a new technician would look at it and that I wouldn't need to drop the car off because they would look at it real quick for me. (Fourth Time) - I show up at 11AM when my appointment was scheduled for and a different guy is working inside who asked me what was going on and didnt seem to care at all what I was saying while he multi tasked and checked emails / moved papers around the entire time I was talking. He said I can drop the car off so they can put it up on the rack to see what's going on but there is a couple cars in front of me and the tech is on lunch break right now. Being a busy person, I did not have time to drop my car with them again all day long and this is not what I was told 2 days prior. I made another appointment and left. Now I will need to return for the 5th time to get this cheap sensor fixed and it should not be this hard. This has cost me more money in ubers going back and fourth than it does to replace the sensor. Just terrible experience and hopefully they can fix this issue, but I will not be back for any other services. read more

The people at Firestone 2005 North Tustin are fantastic . 3rd time is a charm. Attitude is a reflection of leadership . Rudy ( mgr ) not only handled my issue but went above and beyond by communicating with the first Two Firestone locations I had brought my vehicle in for repairs . Without going into detail I appreciated everything Rudy did for me and kept me as a Firestone client . What's more impressive is that even though I have a fleet vehicle, he treated me the same way as non-commercial customers. I have taken my car here many times and it has always been a great experience. They have always communicated the problem and they do not pressure you for extra repairs. The car repairs are always very timely that they have done even for my BMW. Car repairs are not always cheap but I feel this is an excellent auto care place that is very trust worthy. Sam and Chris always communicate the problem within an hour or two. I have never had to wait 2 or 3 hours for a simple oil change or anything. I can't say enough good things about the Firestone service that I received in Santa Ana and I don't post reviews very often. read more

My experience today was ugh... The service when you leave your vehicle is great. I thought wow, I might get my services (brake pads, brake fluid change, brake inspection, & air filter) done in a reasonable amount of time. I typically like to know whats needed as I am female and many places take you as a fool if you are unaware of car stuff. I set the appt for 10am today. I arrived at 9:30am & was helped promptly. "You'd get a courtesy call after the inspection" is what they usually say. I had my 1 yr old with me and decided to walk to the near by stores while I waited for the call. At 11:15am I started my way back. I arrived at 11:30am & my vehicle was not moved from the spot I left it in. It was blocked by a mobile oil truck. People were coming in and it was pretty busy at that time. That's when I knew it would take longer than anticipated. When I asked what the status of the vehicle was, they checked & said it was next. (Next meaning it would be looked at; inspection). My thing is, if you have an appt, then why am I waiting an additional hour for it to be looked at? In that case, it should be first come first serve! & those of us, who have children & work, would come when we have free time. The price was incomparable to other places, which is why I believe they are busy, but the timing SUCKS. Anyway... After being informed that it was next & 2 hrs had gone by since I dropped the vehicle off, I decided to get my keys and go. But of course, with my luck, I hit one of the mechanics vehicles (which was parked where it shouldn't have been but regardless my fault as I love tapped it attempting to avoid scratching or hitting the nice vehicles next to me) & he was nice enough (after seeing no damage was done) to let me go. Complete garbage Firestone location. Had a 3pm appointment for a simple tire install and alignment that I bought from Tire Rack and ended up staying for almost 5 hours. 5 HOURS. 3-8 PM. On top of that, since the store closes at 6, they rushed the job like hell to be done with their day. When I got home, I found out that they installed the rear tires in the front and the front in the rear. Like WTF? How incompetent can you be working for a tire shop and incorrectly install the rear tires in the front in a staggered setup?? On top of that, in the print-out from the alignment you can see that there was no change in the before and after, so the alignment wasn't even fixed. I had to waste my time and drive over again the next day to get all this fixed. Corporate needs to come in and audit the hell out of this location. Understaffed and novice technicians. This is completely unacceptable. Go to the other 10 tire shops near here and stay the hell away from here unless you want incompetent mechanics working on your car. read more

Got a new tire from here a month ago because I popped my previous one. My brake started to squeak on the driver side front wheel. The same wheel they put the new tire on. I went again and they checked it out. They quoted ove $600 for new brake pads and rotors. I called a family friend shortly after and said they over estimated me by $300 and tried to force me in to replacing everything there. They stated that my vehicle was not safe to drive. My family friend, who owns his own mechanic shop, said the car would be fine for another few weeks. Safe to say I will never come back here again. They just want your money. read more

This has been by far the worst Firestone I've been to. First of all, parking is horrible. Secondly, I took my car to get an oil change and they said they would "call" when the car was ready. I waited for 3 hours and never received a phone call. When I called to ask about my car they told me "my partner called you and left you a VM". Never did I receive a phone call or VM. When I arrived, I asked the staff what number they had on file and I reiterated that I was not notified about my car. Again, they said "my partner called you". Horrible customer service! My family has been doing business here for over 25 years, and so Ivana period I spent $800 to get my brakes done and rear drums done, I've gone there twice each time for over an hour and a half to wait for them to look at it but the master technician has been busy each time. They should've told me Ray rotors were at work as well, now each time I push the bricks my truck rumbles and I wish the technician really cared enough to mention that they were in poor condition I would've had them replace it all at once. This location has always taken good care of us - we frequent this shop, another specialty shop that focuses on Honda's and Toyotas, and Sears Auto from time to time. Of them all, this shop has my greatest confidence. The specialty shop is good - no question - but - they are the type of place that likes to get 110% performance no matter the cost, so sometimes they recommend things that a man on a budget has to think twice about. Firestone understands the need to live within a budget and helps me see the spectrum of what I NEED done, what I SHOULD do, and what I CAN do. That I appreciate. This specific place has taken care of a wide variety of jobs for us - from 90k maintenance (belts, sparks, etc) to replacing sensors, tires, fixing radiator, brakes, a variety of things. We see them for fluids regularly and the best part - Lifetime alignment !!! Both our cars have this and we use it after every rotation! I have certainly seen some places have questionable recommendations - but in my experience with this particular shop over the last 10+ years and 3 different managers - has been consistent, pleasant, and comforting. read more

My wife and I take our car here because it's close to the house. Sadly, there's been times where we've come to get a simple oil change and it literally takes them 6-8 hours. The last time I went in because of a light that had been turning on, I thought it could be the breaks but wasn't sure. They said the rotors and back breaks were bad and needed to be changed along with a long list of other things that equaled out to $1500. I went for a second opinion where I was told they had 30-40% of life left on them. These people are dishonest and have lied to us one too many times, even though they apologize and give you a free oil change, doesn't make it right.. a company without morals that'll do anything to make a sale.... Nick is the manager here and is extremely courteous helpful attentive and able to find a solution. I was sent over to this location with the munchkin along after picking up a nail and needing a new tire. I was totally bummed as I had just purchased a set of new tires a month earlier and these are not your bargain basement el cheapies... Pro Tip: They have a tire toy chest full of kid games/toys for your rugrat to play with while you wait. Well since I had to come from a different firestone that didn't have the tires I needed in stock, I got here and Nick was Johnny on the spot and had things ready to go quickly. I was in and out in about 30 min with a new tire on my truck. This was a great turn of events to say the least. Pro Tip #2: They have coupon mailers and coupons online! The team here was very efficient and literally worked as efficiently as I have seen from any tire shop. They got the tire off, new tire on, balanced, and out the door. We have been going to this Firestone since we moved here in 2001. As a family we tend to buy our cars lightly used, and then hold on to them until the trips to the mechanic start becoming regular, and then let them go. In the last 18 years we have spend thousands of dollars in all kinds of regular maintenance and some pretty significant engine repairs. The place has always been packed, but they would stay late and get the jobs done. I have always had great service with Freddy and Antwon, until this time. Our V8 engine with 165K miles on it had another fuel injector coil go out, so we decided to have the last 3 done at one time that had not been replaced yet. We knew going the bill would be $900 as the parts are expensive, and the price was right what we expected. When I arrived at 8 with an appointment, no one was there, and the parking lot was not very full, which I though was weird, since they used to open at 7. Threw my keys in the drop box since they already knew what I wanted done. When picking up my vehicle, there were all new staff at the facility, none of the regulars that I had known for years. As soon as I turned on the car at pick up, the engine was running rough (i.e. cylinder 7 not fixed) and I could tell we had an exhaust leak that was not there before. I had somewhere to be, so I took the van anyway, and sure enough the service light came on just a couple miles from the store. Also while driving the vehicle I figured out the cabin engine cover had not been installed correctly either. Took it back just over 24 hours later to complain of cylinder #7 still misfiring (so either wrong cylinder replaced or new part was defective), engine cover not on properly, and new exhaust leak. They fixed cylinder #7 and got the engine cover back on properly, but when we picked it up again, it still had an exhaust leak. Within 5 miles, the engine light was back on, with an exhaust sensor failure. This time we decided to check it out ourselves before going back again. Went looking in the area of the exhaust sensor, and sure enough, found a hose not attached. Plugged it back in to the sensor, code cleared, and the van is running perfectly now. In the future we still plan to go there for the easy stuff, oil change and tires because they do have good prices, but obviously the caliber of true mechanics is no longer there. Clearly lazy mistakes that shouldn't have happened. We'll be looking for someplace else for our engine repair from now on. Very sad to see the change. read more

I have good experiences with firestone as a company but this particular store I'll never come back to. Took my car in for an air conditioning inspection since mine was not working. They tell me that I had a cracked pressure line and all the coolant leaked out. Okay no complaints here, but what got my suspicions up was they told me I needed a new compressor as well which runs almost 900 for the part alone. I left thinking that's a bunch of bull since my car is still fairly new. Took it to my usual Firestone next to my office I'm West Covina and they tell me that all I needed was the new line and to refill the coolant. Saved myself from a 1400 bill and happily paid 350 for the repair and service. I'll never come back to this location again. If I could I'd give negative stars read more

Just had a very good experience with this location. I came in to get a couple of new tires. They gave me a pretty good deal on some tires. I had purchased a lifetime alignment when I first bought my car so I had them do that too. The ran an inspection test on my car and saw I needed new breaks as well. I told them money was tight and they gave me a coupon that covered labor (about $70). Overall, they took good care of my car and I'm very happy with my experience. read more

My car needed an alignment and oil change. I made an appointment through their website and also checked out promotions. Not knowing how long the maintenance will take, I called and spoke with Velvet. Professional and courteous, gave me realistic expectations on how long it will take, and also provided me with applying the promotions prior to my visit. Their alignment uses laser and provides a readout of the before and after adjustments. They were able to adjust my alignment as much as they could (car is lowered with no camber kit), but I could feel the difference when driving. Simple oil change and car is running fine. I left Firestone at the exact time quoted. You might want to bring some sort of entertainment as there is not much in the shopping center. read more

These guys ( the former manager and team) found things wrong that the insurance company didn't fix and we had them fix it at the insurance company's expense... and Farmers Ins.did- without question. Another time, they identified steering problems that Jaguar dealership could'nt find and they fixed it. The new manager and team found suspension issues that we had done at another shop and we were able to get that repaired by that shop at no additional charge based on thier findings. I have bought several sets of tires here and they have always been fair and professional with all of my cars.... they will continue to be my first stop for tires or any service work relating to steering and suspension, alligment etc... read more

I had an appointment on 12/22/2015 for an oil change and tire rotation with an inspection at 4:00pm and was at this location two hours. I was told that they will take an hour and to top it all off my car was parked the whole time and they kept on seeing other customers while my car was still parked. The Gentleman who attended me stated that they had to put my car on a lift and as soon as they were done with the guy ahead of me they would take care of my car. Instead of making me wait why not just do the oil change and rotate my tires another day instead of making me wait a whole three hours? My previous review was a good one due to their great service but now I had to endure this long wait and am very disappointed that I had to wait even after making an appointment. Why not offer customers alternatives instead of making them wait this long especially close to the holidays? I had done some digging on the internet and found my tire of choice (Turanza with Serenity) almost $40 less, per tire. They said they price match on their website, but I was expecting the bait-n-switch when I actually called them. Sure enough, Luis matched the price and even threw in added protection for free. They even dropped me off and picked me up from the train station on the day my car was serviced. All the staff were friendly. I took my truck here to get an alignment and the guy here gave me a very complicated answer saying to me and describing to me all the different reasons on why it could not be done... I knew that was bull before he even finished saying it and it was clear to me that he just didn't want to deal with my big old truck because it had a minor oil leak. This place just wants your money. I came here after I got my very first flat since owning my own car. I was inexperienced & honestly, very vulnerable & scared about what to do to alleviate the whole situation. I called my friend to help me out & I'm so happy I did. He came over, used his fix a flat machine that came with his brand new car, & helped me fill up my tire to make it drivable to Firestone. I got there & although I appreciate they took me minutes before closing, I would not recommend them to anyone. I was hopeful that my tire just needed a patch, since a same nail went through it. I was disappointed when they told me that due to the silicone chemicals in the fix a flat machine, they could no longer patch the tire & I would have to get a new one. I was crushed. I asked them how much a new one would be & they said $180. I admit I do not know ANYTHING about cars, but 180$ seemed a little too much for a flat tire situation. My friend also said it didn't make sense why the fix a flat machine would ruin your tire if it was provided by the dealer themselves. Why would they supply something that would cost you a brand new tire every time? It doesn't sound logical nor efficient. I said that I would wait on that & literally, two minutes later they come back saying that they were willing to sell me the tire at 120$. A 60$ discount in two minutes. Wow. That seemed very shady to me so I told them that I would go somewhere else to get a second opinion. They ended up just putting my spare on & I paid 10$ for that. Idk why, but I guess it's expensive to put on a spare. I drove away, scared to be on the spare. I drove very slowly & when I finally got home, to my utter surprise, I discovered that these people did not put my flat tire in my trunk. I was beyond frustrated & upset. I immediately called & the girl that answered said she was sorry & that I could go back & pick it up. Excuse me?!? I can go?!? It was complete unprofessionalism. She claimed that they thought I would go the next day to pick it up so that's why they didn't load it in my car. Does that not sound like bs to you? Why in the world would I have ever thought it was a good idea to leave my tire behind if I didn't want their services anymore? Why would I want to make two trips on a spare tire already?? Finally she offered to send someone to deliver it to me so I accepted. When the guy came over to drop it off he explained further how the chemicals would not let the patch attach itself to the tire, it which I asked why they didn't clean off the silicone latex FIRST & thennnnn put the patch on. He looked completely amazed by this idea like he had never thought about it before. Were these ppl seriously trying to patch a tire over the silicone??! The next day, I went to Walmart. They took a look at the tire & after cleaning it, they patched it up & I drove away. It all cost me 10$. Get a second option guys! These ppl clearly needed to make money so they tried to convince me that my tire was unrepairable, tried to charge me 180$, which quickly turned to 120$ without me even trying to haggle them & finally to keeping my tire thinking that I would forget about it & probably fix it up & reselling it themselves.
