What can I say about Johann David. He went above and beyond with helping me out with my 2021 accord EX-L hybrid home screen. With all the updates we get with our phones and cars are pretty much computers, my car didn't link with my phone and caused my entire apple car play screen to freeze and I could no longer do anything!!!! I went to First City honda and talked with service department first, Don. He was unable to fix it and got Johann to further assist me. It took Johann about 10-15min (he did have to do a factory reset) but after he did that and a few other things, my screen and all came back up and starting working again. I heavily rely on using the apple car play GPS so this was very crucial for me to have working. Then, on top of that, he showed me some tricks and mentioned to me about Honda Link which my original sales guy (Keys in Van Nuys) did not tell me about. Wow!!! This guy is a Jem and knows his stuff. The worst, most stereotypically slimy car buying experience. I know exactly what I want, we have a 2014 Odyssey and want a new 2018/19 Odyssey in the same color and package. Spoke to the internet sales manager on the phone several times. Told him exactly what we wanted and made an appointment for a week later to come see the car and make a deal. Confirmed the appointment - twice. Told him what we wanted both times. He told me even if they don't have the exact car in stock we can run the numbers, make a deal and get it via dealer trade. Showed up and was told the guy I had an appointment with wasn't there and was told to talk to Juan. Juan was there but handed me off to another sales guy, who toured me all over the lot and to remote lots "looking for the car I wanted," which I'm fairly sure is a tactic since they can check inventory on the computer in about 30 seconds. They didn't have the vehicle we want in stock, but the sales guy says they can dealer trade for it, but that if we do that I "have to take an extra $2k in accessories, I have no choice that's how it works with dealer trades." I tell him I'm not sure about that but we can discuss it. We sit in his cube and he goes to get Juan again. Juan comes back and asks if I found a car I like. I tel him no, and that I've been clear since I made the appointment a week ago what I was looking for. He says to try and find something on the lot. I tell him that's not what we want, and that his other guys when I made the appointment and the guy that toured me around say they could get one from Another dealer. He says "we don't dealer trade, you'll have to find something on the lot." No Juan... I won't. What I "have" to do is never do business with your dealership for wasting my time. I'm not cross shopping other brands, I already want the top of the line model, and I'm willing to use Honda financing. This would have been an easy deal for them except they wasted my time and were disrespectful and slimy. In 2018 there are better ways to do business then this. read more

Bought a car here a couple years back now. A year after the car was bought (which I ended up putting my previous car as a down payment) was more solid that what they sold me. Danesh was a solid salesman, but the lady he trained has no clue what she's doing. She promised all these features, removal of a black mark on the trunk by maintenance, carplay etc. The car came with no features. Today, I realized there are now two seat buckles missing from the backseat with the middle being the only seat with an actual buckle. I'll be in talks with the location manager as well as my lawyer in regards to safety regulations and false information that could lead to hazard in regards to the sale. This was my second time coming to inquire about this vehicle the first time I went to KIA and didn't feel comfortable buying a used car from anywhere other than the Brand dealership. The initial salesman that I spoke with on the phone Adrian and Sales Manager who's name I can't recall, were extremely polite & professional. When I spoke to Adrian I decided that I would give him a little of my history over the phone to eliminate the usual BANTER of the CLOSER intimidation to BUY that happens at a lot of Car Dealerships, which is so yester-year!!! While I do understand every dealership is different, I do understand a little about the Car Industry given my ex-husband worked over 20 years in management for Lexus. The GM JOE VECA during our encounter even commented & I quote "My wife works in the Legal field and I don't propose to know Law" what the heck, who talks that way to a Customer??? He also constantly questioned my OFFER Price and how I derived at such an amount, WHAT, I don't have to explain anything to you, I'm the Customer!! Does Honda endorse this type of behavior all in the name of meeting the bottom line, I sure HOPE not?? I will make HONDA CORP. aware in a detailed letter of my experience, to the President of Customer Relations. Joe Veca, didn't even feel I deserved the RESPECT as a longtime Honda Customer of having owned 3, to at least COUNTER my offer with a BEST Price. The reason he continuously stated was because of the difference in my OFFER and the list price, saying no one typically OFFERS almost 35% actually more like 25% off list price, I find that very HARD to believe!!! I was in disbelief that this was actually happening as I had every intention of BUYING this CAR, at a FAIR price, and like all things in business it's a process between what I think I want to pay and the BEST price!! Don't ASSUME you know what anyone WILL or WON'T Pay....very UP-Setting!! The looks and tone during our conversation was so frustrating at one point I felt like perhaps there was some PROFILING happening due to the un-believable way this was going, I felt like I was being interrogated!! This is the 4th QUARTER 2019's are CLEARING out to make way for 2020's, I THINK I do know that...however John even questioned that "Saying SUV's don't come out that soon", WHAT??? Service department: After bringing my 2011 Honda in for what turned out to be a $130 inspection to find out why it was rattling, I was told I needed about $2K worth of outrageously overpriced repairs for things like a $110 brake flush and $200 spark plug replacements. The funniest one...replacing my third brake light was priced at $50 because it's "a pain in the butt to get to", according to the rep. I went home and did it myself. It cost me $7 for the bulb and took 30 seconds to open the trunk of the car and reach under the light to screw it in. Doing the math, Honda wanted to charge $5,160/hour for labor on my lightbulb. Guess it's easy for this service center to assume a young woman coming in alone doesn't know when she's being screwed over. Will not be returning, and I suggest you save your money and consult a trusted mechanic as well. read more

I am a current customer at first St Honda with one payment left. about a month ago I walked in the establishment with my wife and I wanted to do two transactions. I did research and I actually went to a few dealerships before hand to compare pricing and notes that I had saved on my phone. when it came time to talking business I was greeted by a young gentleman who I can't remember his name ? he asked what was my budget and what was I looking for I explain to him just that. and he seemed as if it was out of this realm of ordinary so I asked to speak with whoever the Sales Manger was on duty. He came back and said that the mngr was busy and cant come speak to myself and my wife. So I walked over to his desk and politely asked if he would give me 5 mins of his time. He did not even look up and quoted " your budget does not match what you are looking to get" I replied to him well print out what does. His response ( still not even eye contact with me) I am way to busy sorry. I could not believe my ears! My wife's jaw dropped. I demanded to speak to someone above him and he replied with " good luck" NEVER IN MY LIFE have I been shown such blatant disrespect from a customer service rep! $675 for 2 Hondas with top tear credit does not sound unrealistic, but all I wanted was to see what he would come up with! By the way his name is Chris Lee Honda sales manager. I walked out and felt such lack of customer service that I was ashamed to even drive a honda home. I made sure I called in to speak with Joe Vece couple days later who is the GSM. Joe was nice but seemed to just brush it off. It's sad when my mother.
