Took my Honda accord there to get an opinion on what it needed. I was told we will call you in about an hour.... 3 hours later I called them they had not yet looked at it. Finally I called again two hours later and they gave me a list of things my car needed I told the Service advisor that I would not be getting anything done today and that I would be back at another time. Then they told me it was 120.00 to look at my car. NO ONE TOLD ME THIS IN ADVANCE. If I would have been told it was 120.00 just to look I would have said no. I said for what 120.00 what was I paying for. I never got an answer so I paid the ransom money and got my car back. The next day someone called me from customer service I told them I was unhappy and that I thought that I felt I was ripped off. When I finally asked the parch department for the part that I needed , the guy behind the counter asked what type of Honda I had 3 times. Great, or so I thought. I show up on Saturday for my appointment. They tell me that they are too busy to handle me and my appointment and that their online appointment system "isn't great." Since I had purchased my car I took it for regular maintenance to this place (two years). I never double checked their work and I liked their front desk people's courtesy and their good prices. However the last two times I lost my trust in them. The time before last when my car came back it had a dint on it. Since I wasn't sure if it was there before I gave them the benefit of doubt.The last time I marked my tires and asked them to rotate them. After the service was done I noticed that only two of the tires were rotated. So, I am not really sure how the rest of the services had been done. They offer you a free wash but most of the time the car wash guy seems like just hardly touches your car. Unfortunately I have lost my trust in their service people and I will no longer take my car there. It's inconvenient but I have to find a new service place for my Honda before its too late. Horr-i-ble service! Have had the Honda serviced here and every time its an 8 hour long nightmare. How long does it take to do a routine inspection and oil change? Apparently all freaking day. Every time. And of course they forget to send a shuttle for pick up at the end of the day. Just no sense of customer service what so ever. I would NEVER recommend stepping foot on this lot or in their service department. Today was visit #3 for the same issue. I dropped the car off in the morning, and fortunately this time the part needed for the repair was in stock. Unfortunately, the repair technician was not able to complete the repair. For some reason, the new DVD unit for the GPS was not connecting to the car's system (or something like that). I was told that the dealer called Honda to get some guidance as to why the new unit was not working properly, but it being Saturday the service tech told me that they would not hear back from Honda until Monday. So then I thought I would give 1st Honda a try for Service, what a mistake!! The service people are also condescending, never really follow up and don't know how to fix the issues beside standard service. I had to go back to Thousand Oaks Honda for service also, even though they are further away from my home. Unfortunately, the Honda Fit was out of my price range, but Michael was great and very helpful, and he took the time to listen to what qualities are important to me in a car and found a great second choice. He was very patient with my husband and I as we took awhile to decide, and he did his best to get us the lowest monthly payment possible. Johann was also very helpful and took the time to explain how every function in the car worked. CJ worked with us to get the payment in our price range and had gave us wonderful customer service. The first time I left a message with the service manager and never received a call back. I figured it was a one time mistake...I guess not. I also tried to get his contact information through 1st Honda's online chat. They said they couldn't give it out. Why is a Service Manager unreachable? Do they set things up to fail for job security? The first time I came here looking for a car was back in 2013 and I had a great experience. Everyone was helpful and friendly and the sales person at that time helped me get a great deal on the car I was interested in buying. This year my boyfriend decides to buy a car for him so he had gone to check out a few dealers on his own so I told him about my experience with First Honda so we go and check out the cars he's interested in. My boyfriend sees the car he's interested in and Bobby Tarafdar, sales person, walks towards us and asked us if we need any help so my boyfriend requests to see and test drive a Honda Civic SI 2015. After deciding which one my boyfriend liked we went to Mr. Tarafdar office to work on the pricing and see what deals we can get to buy the car. After the deal was finally done my boyfriend tells me that we should trade my 2 door car for a 4 door car. He has seen me struggle so hard putting our daughter in and so many times I was about to land on the floor facing down due to my foot always getting stuck on the seat belt so we request to see a 4 door car and Mr. Tarafdar was sooo helpful that he showed us a couple of cars and finally the last car he showed us which is the Honda Civic SE 2015 was the one I liked and was happy with. We went back to his office for more paper work but he made everything go fast as he was aware that we had our daughter with us and she was getting fussy and impatient. Mr. Tarafdar entertained my daughter while his manager, Charles, came to speak to us. His manager was also very helpful and friendly. He wasn't like other managers I've dealt in the past in other places that think they're on top of the world and don't want to help you, not even because it benefits them and the company they're working for. The next day we received a phone call from Maggie Kilgore asking us our experience with First Honda and with Mr. Tarafdar. As I told her my experience was great. If I had a horrible experience, I wouldn't of gone back but my first and this previous visits to First Honda has been excellent. In the future if we decide to trade or buy cars we will be coming here. No more looking at other dealers. I've had horrible experiences in other dealers and now that I have found this dealer I'm sticking to this one :) If you do decide to stop by, ask for Bobby Tarafdar. He's great at what he does. It has been a month since we brought our car multiple times which is hassle for us to fix the same issue. Radio system was turning on and shutting down by itself luckily it's covered by insurance. They finally changed the radio panel which they could have done it sooner! When we picked up the car found out that the second row seat handle was broken, so my husband brought it back last week to tell them it wasn't broken when we dropped it off. Don from service called and insurance is not paying for it. We told them they need to fix it because it was their fault but they refused. My husband came back yesterday to talk to the SERVICE MANAGER to let him know what's' happening and thinking he will help us but "NO". He was rude and very unprofessional!!!!He said he will not help us because my husband gave them a bad review. Instead of fixing the problem what he cares is the review! Attempting to buy/lease a car with an excitable 1 year old in tow, is not the easiest way to spend a Saturday. There was a kid's room for use and all of the staff was helpful and playful with our little guy scooting all over the show room. I did suggest that the playroom equipment have an overhaul, so in the meantime, parents might want to bring along some favorite toys. At least there is a space dedicated to the little ones, where they can play. James was our sales rep and his patience was never ending. He has no children himself, so you would think our kid's noises and constant need to be on the move would have worn on him. However, if it did, he made no show of it. We walked in the door at First Honda and Lenny approached us. His introduction was not in the typical aggressive way of most salespeople, (I know this because we went to a lot of dealerships). We explained what we were looking for, and in the most sincere and helpful way, he assisted us in checking out the CR-Vs. He catered to our questions and needs and reviewed the plusses and minuses of the CR-V's they had on the lot. After a test drive and deciding on the car, Lenny efficiently assisted us in filling out the necessary paperwork and promptly referred the paperwork to Dean, the store manager. We thought Lenny was too good to be true, but Dean turned out to also be fantastic. He was knowledgeable, forthright, and hands-on in figuring out the best deal for us. I had not planned to buy a new car, but because of the support and honesty of Lenny and Dean, I drove off the lot with the car of my dreams at an excellent price and with a great trade-in. If you reading my comment about First Honda you decide if these people trying to help or ripping you off?! I brought my 2018 Honda due to some mechanical breakdown which happened a few days ago and spoke to Mitchell Lucky whom wasn't friendly. after diagnosis they found out that one the steering wheel harness was chewed up by rat and warranty would not cover and need to replace that! I was ok with it to fix it and wait till you hear how much would cost for this $23 harness which I found out later by Mitchell. 5 hours labor $140 part $23=$723 I was shocked and I asked Mitchell to explain why would $23 part needs 5 hours labor and he was going around the bush and keep lying and lying. So I fed up with him paid $140 for diagnosing and purchased the part and called one my friend to fix it. It took him less than 15 minutes to install that and the car is running perfectly.
