My experience here was great, despite my being scared to come here due to some of the reviews I read. I honestly didn't think I'd leave with a new car due to my credit and my inexperience buying but a few hours later I drove off the lot with a brand new car that I am already in love with. I helped my GF get 2 cars from them this year. They are good guys and really took good care of me and my GF. We never felt pressured, rushed or forced into the deal or the car. The salesman, Corey, was helpful and honest. The selection of colors and variety of vehicles with the different features was at a minimum. But we found one for us. The closer was rude when I explained that I needed to head home and speak with my wife. He literally snatch documents from my hands and threw them to the salesman. After I called him on that nonsense he apologized and then came back with a "final" offer which made the deal happen. The transaction was done because the final price was right for me and my family and the fact that Corey the salesman was good to us. Each time they would not honor the MSRP saying it was for a limited time or they would add accessories and charges and bump up the MSRP. Sales guy Mark would run back and forth to his manager and come up with the same offers with different sneaky deals rolled in. I wanted to stay local and get something from a local dealership.Finally gave up and got it from another dealership. We told he we told him we were still undecided and we had a few questions about a specific car. He was more then happy to help us, he spent about 30-40 minutes talking to us and showing us the differences in the cars we were looking at. We appreciated this, it cleared many things up for us. We left, there was no pressure at all!! He gave us his card and said when you are ready give me a call. That's what we did! We called him to let him know we were on our way, and he met us when we got there. I don't like leaving negative reviews. As a small business owner, and having worked in customer service myself, I know how impactful reviews can be to your business and I do not post negative reviews lightly. However, I have had the worst experience I've ever had with a local business at First Kia of Simi. We purchased our 2017 Hyundai from them in October and also purchased an extended warranty at that time. We were not informed that they would not honor the warranty at the dealership. (I don't know how this is legal, but we will be looking into this with an attorney.) The check engine light had been coming on intermittently for the past few weeks, and then finally came on and stayed on. I made an appointment for a diagnostic appointment and waited three weeks, with my car sitting in the driveway, afraid to drive it. When I dropped off the vehicle, I was treated rudely by the service staff and told they do not repair Hyundais, even though a Hyundai Sonata was in the service bay ahead of me. Even though we purchased our Hyundai from them. Even though we purchased the *warranty* through them. An hour or so later, the service manager called my husband and informed him that they would not do any repairs on our vehicle, since they only service Kias. We were never told this information during the buying process. Ever. Do not do business with First Kia. They are not honest. read more

I inquired about a vehicle I saw online, the woman who was talking with me on the phone (Margarita) stated she was transferring me over to sales manager and WOW. The sales manager must have picked up the phone without knowing and was actually talking Sh** about talking to me on the phone (I believe his name was Johnny). When I confronted him about hearing his conversation, he scoffed and just hung up the phone. I can't say enough good things about 1st Kia of Simi Valley. I was referred to this facility by a outside auto service. He said my battery needed to be replaced and it should still be under warranty. At 8AM I showed up for my appointment. I was directed into service by a gentleman outside. I was next greeted by Robyn, the cashier, that introduced me to Justin, my service adviser. Bc it was seriously horrible "customer service" Or how to treat "customer". Unfortunate but the fact of any business that if out of 10, just 1 person doesn't give a xxxx how to have conversation with anybody who call that could potentially be customer, it hurts their business even the rest of 9 are so nice and awesome. As a matter of fact, the female crew I spoke after that horrible ones, she apologized and tried to help me out. I told her ur awesome but whoever the dude I spoke w b4 her Damaged enough. After all, it goes back to how to manage the crew/ their attitude, extra careful not let even that happens. Not an inch. If it's human involved in experience, (vs online shopping), & trying to make differences from it, they need to change the approach of how to deal w human/customer very carefully. I have horrible experiences w all dealers service all those years, never expect good experience anymore but this incident definitely made myself clear I don't wven wanna deal w service neither if the person who's not service shows that type of attitude already. Also need to update not to hide car's number plate w dealers logo on it like used to be til we get new registration/tag. I was stopped by police bc I wasn't showing both plate. But the back one was covered by paper w dealers logo design/ not the plate numbers. 30min waste of my time/schedule pushed back in busy day. If they follow new rules ruled recently, which I didn't know as customer, I didn't have that. due to this police stop/education, I started checking and now see most of new car having both side of plate having temporary printed paper plate, which is the right way to do, otherwise you'll get stopped by police. Possible get ticket. Now waiting for my registration color sticker after 2months passed... called dealer last week, I was told it'll be here by Friday. today is already Tuesday and I haven't received. As my car loan officer alerted, j had to call them following up again. Don't know why it keeps adding extra work on my end.. I was supposed to be all clear, no police pull over, perfect number plate w registration sticker on after 2months. Unfortunately that's not the case. I understand dmv could take forever but car loan officer and policeman also told me it usually sets asap and 2months is way too long not all set. (As u know those document on front window usually for 90days). At least I need proof that's still "in progress" if that's the case. Tried to get any type of proof from the dealer while I'm talking on phone, email screen shot to me bc I have no idea when they "email" me without me getting back to them. I never get call back from these ppl without Me make call to follow up: I was also told "person is with customer" or "not available"... then guess what, I get exact person when they transfer.. = did the previous person straight lie to me that person is not available? Tuesday 3pm... who's shopping at the dealer like the weekend? I never trust them saying "I'll call back ASAP" or "busy w customer" Yeah it might be true but also easily straight lie to avoid taking care of you. If they take care of u on top of the game, I won't get pull over by policeman. If they call back, take care of business in smart, fast, efficient way, it should be done or make customer happy by doing so. Instead, if they say "I'll call back" and never call back without U call them... if they don't listen to what u need but quick "guess" ur need but that's wrong. If they tell lie "person is not avail" but actually avail, how could u trust or Wanna business with? And if u pointed those thing to them, they never apologize, mean I take it as they're totally ok doing those to the customer. I'm extremely disappointed buy car from them. read more

I went to First Kia to buy my next Kia Sorrento. Marlon Arevalo helped me. I went in, told him what I wanted, he brought the car to me- "it better than I expeced". The Kia Sorrento 2013 is beautiful. Iwas going to get fianced from the same company I used before- for no reason they wanted to loan me less money and higher interest rate. Kia was able to get me financed and lower my interest rate. I was able to leave there with my new car with in 2.5 hours- start to finish. Feeling confident that I got a great deal, and a fabulous interest rate- I will tel all my friends and family to go there; because I know that they will be treated well! He came in WAY over anyone we had gone to. My mom and I didn't have a ton of time and weren't ready to purchase a car today and the manager then loudly said "I don't know what's more important to them. Buying a car takes time" then the sales guy said how we were getting such a great deal at this outrageous price and that these seltos are very hard to find! LIE. He gave us a "discount" that he wrote on the paper was only available today. They said they haven't sold a car today and they want to sell one and that's why they are giving us such a cheap deal!
