Milk, brussel sprouts, and scrambled eggs. I had to sit and finish them. I figured out quickly what to do with my brussel sprouts and scrambled eggs. I slowly, cause all at once would have been suspicious, would hides them in the side of my pushed down knee socks then flush em down the toilet! Sadly, i could not put the milk in my sock. That i had to swallow. Well now a days I love brussel sprouts. Found out they r only bad if your Mom is over cooking em ;) Still don't like milk. Scrambled eggs, okay, if there is bread or veggies involved. But here at First Watch, I like the eggs! I'm not trying to hide em with all the yumminess underneath or the great bread. The eggs truely are good. No need to hide em in the veggies or bread. ...Or your socks! :) I can take a bite of nothing but egg. I dont know how they do this. But they do. Magic maybe? This was actually my third veggie hash bowl. The other two being had at the Hermitage location. So I think it's not a fluke. It's the real deal. They know how to scramble eggs :) read more

Have been here before and found the food to be consistently "okay". Today I decided to try the Ricotta pancakes with lemon curd and berries. Regretting my choice. The pancakes were over done and burned on the bottom, tasteless, extremely dry, and barely lukewarm. The "lemon curd" was obviously lemon pudding-too sweet and hard. I went for brunch this morning and I won't be coming back. I ordered a classic BLT and it was the saddest little BLT with untoasted bread (they still charged me for a BLTE). I ordered it with a side of potatoes and they were the whitest, blandest, and most tasteless breakfast potatoes I've ever had. My sister ordered a hash where they buried the brownest piece of avocado that she picked out. The only thing she liked was her pancake. Service sucked. We waited awhile for maple syrup and my sister eventually just took it off another table. read more

Came in at 8am on a Sunday morning for a party of 15 and didn't have to wait which was a pleasant surprise. Apparently we beat the Church crowd, so good to know for Sunday morning visitors. The menu had a diverse selection so would be hard not to find something you're craving. I had had the biscuits and turkey gravy which was an adequate portion and the biscuits were moist and soft. The gravy had a good texture and was not overwhelming. Also had a side of extra crispy bacon which was just ok, it wasn't 100% crispy but they were fine. I am surprised that they did it serve fresh squeezed orange juice, but the coffee was very good. Other items we tried were the skillet with bacon which had good flavor, but the ingredients couldn't been cut to smaller pieces to have better bite sized portions. Kids had the fresh fruit crepe which they did not like, probably because they're used to Nutella filling instead of the yogurt used and the eggs with bacon which is a go-to and did not disappoint. read more

I have been to First watch two times. The first time I ordered the wild mushroom frittata, which was excellent and I would have given the entire experience 5 stars. That being said, this morning my friend and I ordered the standard eggs Benedict. The ham was tasty, but I sent it back when it was first presented because one egg had no white and the other had a runny white. The next plate, the eggs were barely poached, but I accepted them. My friend's eggs Benedict had hard yolks. The hollandaise that accompanied the eggs was the worst I have ever experienced . Please learn how to poach eggs and make hollandaise or don't offer eggs Benedict on your menu!!!! read more

They have an odd service model that seems to be deliberately designed to minimize interaction between wait staff and patrons. Coffee comes in thermos pitchers. Water comes in carafes. Orders are taken, food delivered and...don't expect to see a waiter or waitress again for the duration of your stay. Food is great. But not seeing a waiter (other than in a far corner, where they seem to gather for chat fests) means no refills on anything. Not even somebody else's waiter that you can flag down to get yours. This also means...no check. In two visits, I never received one. I had to go to the register and ask what I owed. Not sure I'll be back, despite the great food. At least at Waffle House they talk to you and are available. read more

The food was good but the staff was not impressive! Our waitress needs more training. There were three of us. She brought food for two of us and eventually brought the third. Then someone else brought our check to us (which was wrong). We had to ask him for the extra napkins since our waitress never brought them. When we went to the register to pay, the girl had to fix our bill. Then she messed it up and had to do it s second time. Everyone we encountered needs more training! The food was good. On a scale of 1-10 . I give it a 7. I ordered the power wrap with extra vegetables and fruit on the side. It was good, a little messy to eat but overall great. However, they do nickel-and-dime you on extras, like adding an extra vegetable to an omelette, or bringing pure maple syrup. It's a cute little farm based place. My family of 5 were able to sit down within the first few minutes and get comfortable. Once we ordered, the food came out incredibly fast and it was the best biscuits and gravy of my life!!! I never expected this place to be so different from other places but I see why all of the other reviews were so based on the food. Pros: Quick service, even on brunch on Sunday. Food was good quality (we had the Trifecta and TriAthlete), everything was nicely arranged on the plates. Staff was very nice. Wide menu option, especially if you desire healthy choices. Cons: $10 a meal might not be for everybody, but they give you a decent portion for the price. Conclusion: Not your average breakfast place in a good way. Food was good quality, busy place but they make you feel like your food wasn't rush prepared and slopped onto a plate. Save your money and go to the Perch. The avocado toast I had was piled with avocados. It looks like they used two full avocados on my toast. It was so gross, and had a weird flavor. I had to scrape all the avocado off, and just because you put that much avocado on it... Doesn't make it good. We've been here twice, and wanted to give it another shot today and will not be back to this location. I came with my aunt and we shared everything. I love dining with someone who is down to split multiple things, especially brunch. That way I don't have to made the dreaded decision of sweet versus savory. We started with the famous brown sugar maple bacon. It was good! The bacon was peppery which was a nice juxtaposition to the sugary outside. It was bacon on ten softer side, which I actually prefer. We then got the Floridian French toast and asked for no wheat germ. This was a del ious French toast with bananas, strawberries and kiwi. In addition to warm maple syrup it came with preserves. Yum yum. We also split the classic eggs Benedict- it came with ham and a slice of tomato. We didn't take many risks but I think we ordered just the perfect variety of food. The Benedict came with a side and we got breakfast potatoes. They were well seasoned and included minced onions. The actual building is in one of the modern strip malls that line this part of Brentwood, and the restaurant itself was quite plain. But no worries- a solis brunch spot with lots of variety and generous portions. With tip we paid $40. read more

Really remarkably good food here. That goes for breakfast/brunch as well as lunch. Some of my favorites are the 'chickichanga', chicken salad sandwich, the turkey burger, the quinoa bowls, and the butternut squash bisque (seasonal). We have been to many First Watches, but this one is not very good! The coffee is way too strong, the hot chocolate we got for our young daughter tasted like they tripled the amount of chocolate and she couldn't drink it even after we dumped some out and added hot water. Then my eggs Benedict were cold, and the eggs were hard...they are suppose to have runny yolk, so we sent it back, and it came back with really running whites. The pork sausage inside was extremely smooshy, questioned if it was even cooked all the way. Nobody even asked how our meal was, so we just left it alone. Great healthy food. We have a First Watch cafe in Smyrna, Tennessee. Has become our favorite cafe. Breakfast is amazing, lunch sandwiches and salad's are delicious, and the staff leaves you needing nothing. Great place for Sunday brunch, or a late lunch. read more
