Excuses range from the fact that it's not in the hippest part of my hood, to the fact that it's very close to the lowest rated Einstein bagels in existence - so even when I was Carbie, I wasn't over there much. But guess what - that was then. We were seated quickly (considering the crowd) and had coffee and water in a flash. Plus flavored creamers are already on the table. And keto peeps there was stevia! Dang y'all, I normally have to use the stash from my purse. So many unique choices for breakfast from porkbelly to quinoa power bowls to theeeee most legit avocado toast I have ever seen. Ever. Fresh juices? Candied bacon? Chorizo? Ricotta pancakes? So yes. Presentation - gorgeous. Service - smile included. Prices - totally reasonable. I like this place.... it's got a very rustic look. Servers come to the table but you pay your bill at the front so it's kind of down home in that respect. I love love love their juice! The morning meditation is my favorite. It has tumeric and beet juice along with orange. It's the right amount of sweet and I feel like I'm doing something good for my body. I also love love love their avocado toast. The bread they use is very grainy and extremely hearty - also very delicious! I have had my share of avocado toasts at a bunch of other restaurants and they are ok. This one I crave! The dish is also served with basted eggs which are just a little too runny for my taste. I get them poached medium instead and I think it's the perfect compliment to the toast. The only drawback to this place is that no one I've taken here loves it as much as I do. My mom had the pumpkin pancakes and thought they were "alright", my husband tried the millionaire bacon and an omelet with a similar opinion, and my dad had the works and was disappointed. First watch has always been one of my favorite brunch spot. The food is fresh, healthy, and has a variety to choose from. Their Avocado toast is so yummy and their seasonal menu include nice surprises for breakfast. Crab and asparagus omelet - yum! Then why the three stars? Even with fresh ingredient, a good changing menu, and friendly services, what does it lacking to deserve just an average rating? If you serve breakfast and mostly breakfast as a business, you gotta know your eggs. I like my eggs cooked the exactly how it should be. If I order a over medium egg, I don't expect to see running whites. In fact, if I order over easy egg, I still expect my white to be mostly set. If I order an over hard, it doesn't mean the egg white should all be crispy brown! So in our recent visit, I have to sent my "over medium" eggs back THREE times, because the egg whites are still too running for our taste. In the end, we got over hard egg that looks little appetizing. The manager wanted to make sure we are not leaving hungry and angry so he took care of the bill for the whole meal completely. I appreciate the gesture but still wants to share my honest feedback. Be warned, your eggs might not cook right (unless you like your eggs over easy or scrambled). And be sure to look thru your grapes before eat them. They can be rotten (as my son accidentally ate and spit one out). read more

The menu seemed super healthy and I am not a very healthy eater so I was a little concerned, BUT I managed to find things that were healthy but still tasted great! Also, the bacon was insanely good! I LOVED the avocado toast (there was plenty of avocado on both pieces of toast). The morning meditation drink was also a great wake up juice and tasted refreshing, even though the ingredients seemed quite intimidating. I'm here, right now, for the first time at first watch. I came to kill time before an appointment, but I will be back!! The decor was appealing- sort of modern farmhouse... The coffee is some of the best I've had in Frisco....rich and nutty, without being too bold or bitter. My server, Carrie, was the perfect combination of friendly, helpful, and timely. She gave me a sample of one of their fresh squeezed juices...which I very surprisingly enjoyed. It was green...but very light...not too syrupy...and tasted like spring in a glass. While I didn't order any food this time, I'm tantalized by the selections, particularly the shrimp & grits and the croque madame, so I'll be back soon to give them a try. Bonus: wifi works and is stable!!! Finding a breakfast joint with the trifecta of good food, good coffee, and wifi is more challenging than I realized. This place is a winner!!!! read more

We ordered the Belgian Waffle and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes The name scared me a little but I'm not afraid to try something new. They were both delicious. We added eggs and potatoes to the orders. It's a lot of food and the waffle and pancakes were huge. If you don't have a big appetite, don't add anything to the orders. Everything tasted fresh and cooked at the order. Kind of disappointed. Ate here for first time after having driven by many times and seeing the line out the door. We ordered the million dollar bacon, lemon ricotta pancakes and waffle breakfast with eggs and bacon. The million dollar bacon was alright, not as good as lazy dog which we used as a comparison since it's prepared similarly. Pancakes with all our meals were very dry and unflavorful. The eggs has no seasoning, were supposed to be over medium but came out over hard with all yolk broken. And the coffee was super weak. If it was just one of any of the above items I'd probably just attribute it to an outlier but everything was mediocre at best. No better than a big corporate diner like ihop or Denny's, in fact probably subpar. read more

I've been hearing all the buzz about a new place in Frisco serving fresh breakfast and lunch plates! It's hard to find places that truly use fresh ingredients around here :( and I'm always excited to try them out! The restaurant is decorated nicely with farm-like decor. Large wood beams on the ceiling along with wooden pallets. Water is served in replica glass milk containers and the tables are wooden. Very clean! We arrived Saturday morning around 9am and there was no wait. The hostess was nice and seated us immediately. Our waitress was extremely friendly and gave suggestions about the menu. They have a lot to choose from and also a separate special of the day menu as well. Coffee is served in thermal pots left on the table by request. Water is also left in large containers on the table. I really like that because there is nothing worse than needed a sip of water and the wait staff is nowhere to be found! I ordered the the Farmhouse Skillet Hash and it was okay. The only reason I'm giving the 4 star is because it was mostly onions! I love onions, just not my whole breakfast made of it! If you order this, ask for easy on the onions! The multigrain toast my meal came with was fabulous, and the side of fruit was fresh! My husband ordered Eggs Benedict BLT and loved it. It was topped with fresh greens and sliced avocado. Served with skillet potatoes. He also ordered the Morning Meditation fresh pressed juice. So pretty! :) My daughter ordered the Ham and Gruyere Cheese Omelet. It was delicious and I will probably order this the next time I eat here. Her meal also came with the delicious thick toast and a side of fruit. Overall, this place is definitely somewhere I recommend trying occasionally! It was 47.00 before tip. First Watch! What a name. It says it all. This is a great place to start your day. Breakfast or brunch! Come a little later and their sandwiches and soups of the day are perfect combinations to get you through. So as I review First Watch it is with hesitation cause I love this little gem and it's busy as it is in the morning. I give them 4 stars as the service is a little slow some times. Come in and be willing to relax and enjoy, and you'll find your experience to be greatly enjoyable. Atmosphere is a farm table modern country decor, and they subscribe to a farm to table mentality with seasonal choices. I'm looking forward to spring to see what changes they make to their menu. First Watch is a great place for brunch and lunch. Healthy choices along with your favorites. Everything is made fresh. Orange juice is fabulous. Went for breakfast this morning with my husband and the menu seems to have lots of choices. I had the elevated egg sandwich and the "inside" of the sandwich was delicious! Eggs were cooked perfectly and great seasoning. Bread was described as "brioche" but seemed to be your average hamburger bun. Husband had the carrot cake pancakes with eggs and bacon. He said the pancakes were "just ok" but eggs and bacon were great. There ar other menu items to try so we'll be back. Definitely join the waitlist on yelp if you go at peak times on the weekend! Update! This is now our Sunday morning spot! We've tried lots of different items, service is always helpful, friendly, and quick! First time at First Watch and we absolutely loved this place!! Excellent choice for a farm to table brunch spot. There was a wait time but it was not terribly long. Try the morning meditation from the Juice bar, it is delicious! We tried the breakfast omelette with hash brown, and the Tri-Athlete egg white omelette with mushrooms. The whole grain artisan bread and homemade fruit preserves were just pure heaven. Great service, reasonable prices and adequate portions of healthy clean eating with an extensive menu of healthy choices. Can't wait to try their avocado toast next time! read more

Went here for the first time, and the staff was very friendly and service was quick. I had the salmon and veggie frittata, which was fantastic. The chive cream sauce drizzled over the top was amazing!!!!! I would have loved an extra side of it. The kale tonic was yummy with the wonderful flavor of cucumber. The only negative was the dressing on my side of greens. It was lacking flavor, and I didn't think a side of greens was the perfect pairing for a frittata. My husband had the farmhouse hash, which he enjoyed, but thought they went very skimpy on the bacon, and the portion was very small. He would have enjoyed biscuits or pancakes on the side. Their coffee was also very good. We will try it again for lunch. I can't wait to try the turkey sandwich or one of their salads. read more

First time eating here and I was a little disappointed at first. I ordered a omelette with a side of potatoes, which is the main reason I ordered an omelette. 20 mins after I order I am told that they are out of potatoes, so I change my order to a bowl of fruit. When my fruit comes out it is mainly grapes and honey dew melon that is not ripe yet. On the winning side, when we tried to check out they comped our meal and gave us a $20 gift card. So we will be trying this place again and I hope the potatoes are worth the wait. read more

I have been here several times and the food and service have always been excellent. Especially like the seasonal pumpkin pancake! Coffee is one of the better coffees in the area and they give you a bottle of water and bottle of coffee at your table so you're not waiting on refills. The only thing I'd change is to have a normal gravy. I haven't tried the turkey gravy and never will because it sounds awful. They should have a normal alternative like bacon or sausage gravy. I totally get wanting to make things healthier but replacing a good tasting meat with turkey (which isn't good) doesn't actually make it healthier and likely tastes bad. read more

Horrible customer service, the waitress after we ordered went up and spoke badly (we assumed about us) to the front and made gestures, faces and pointed. Completely unnecessary and childish. My boyfriend also ordered a bowl or yogurt and it came with just granola with a dab of yogurt, he asked the waitress and she said, "yeah, it comes that way." Lastly, the lovely people behind us proceeded to FaceTime someone on speaker. They were worse than all the kids that surrounded us. All around worst dining out experience we've had in a while. I've been to several different First Watch locations and they've all been superb! Solid unlimited coffee (none of that French press bougie stuff here) and are more than happy to provide you with a to go cup if you need to be caffeinated even longer. The waiting area is teeny tiny, but I agree with others and use the check in feature on Yelp! It gives you an estimated time and even cooler, a status update on exactly how many parties are ahead of you. I've used this a few times and it works out great, you just need to visit the hostess stand once you get there and let them know you're here. The check in will trigger you to actually get called for a table when available. They have standard breakfast fare or fancier and healthier options. I usually go for the traditional breakfast with bacon, eggs, and my favorite - blueberry multigrain pancake. Just as good as regular pancakes but their blueberries are out of this world! Service both times I've visited this location have been good too! This location used to be an Egg and I (which was garbage), so I'm ecstatic that there's a First Watch so close to home now. read more

This place has got to be one of my favorite breakfast spots around Frisco/Plano. The food menu is expansive but easy to follow. I honestly think you can't go wrong with any food item (I always have trouble deciding on one thing). The coffee tastes great (you get your own pot). The flavored teas are quenching (the syrup is light and not strong at all). Only problem with First Watch is that it's so busy on the weekends, the wait can be discouraging at times.
