Hosts and servers are very positive and welcoming. They have lots and lots of healthy choices. I had the avocado toast with egg whites and it was so delicious. I also appreciate that they post the calories on the menu so you can be mindful of what you are eating. My husband has the French toast and it was good. We came in the late afternoon and only had to wait a few minutes before being seated. The restaurant was busy and we could tell since it took a while for the food to come out, but it was worth the wait. Bacado Omelet: Came with bacon, egg, cheese, and avocado omelet. It was covered with a small amount of sour cream and came with delicious thick grain toast and roasted potatoes. They filled this omelet with a ton of avocado and I enjoyed everything. The potatoes were crispy on one side and soft and tender on the inside, plus they were roasted with onions for even more flavor. Belgian Waffle, Eggs, Potatoes: Fluffy waffle served with warm syrup, fruits, and eggs made as ordered. Service was a little slow, but it was understandable due to how busy it was. We thoroughly loved this place. We had been there on a late Saturday morning for brunch. As we went in (without any reservations), we were immediately seated and a friendly waitress came by. Service and hospitality was just perfect. The starting drink - morning meditation is a perfect way to get started. It combines a bunch of stuff (our favorite was the turmeric - just powerful!). They could have made it a bit less sweet. The avocado toast was a perfect healthy option for anyone looking to get some protein and good fat - nice big chunks of avocado that gives the warm feeling. This is one of the few places on planet earth where you do not get charged for substituting the egg with egg whites and a gluten free version of the toast for a regular one - JUST AMAZING! They have a lot of menu options and most of what I have tried has been very good! I wish they had a bit more side options but they want to offer more healthy options. The wedding soup I had as a side recently was not very flavorful. I liked that it warmed me up, but really hoped for more flavor! I will continue to go and try more menu choices. read more

This cozy breakfast place is really awesome. I had breakfast with my wife today, and I can easily feel this restaurant is really focusing on the quality of food along with diverse food options. Given the taste of the food and quality of ingredients, they should charge more, but the restaurant is smart to control the price of the food by 2 things: 1) Labor work reduction: if you order water or coffee, they just bring a water jar and a stainless coffee pot to your table. So they do not need to come to your table for the refill. Also, you are supposed to bring your check to the counter to pay instead of paying at your table. 2) Appropriate quantity: Instead of quantity of food, the restaurant appropriate portion of food. Enhancing quality by controlling food waste is really smart move. But the quantity is sufficient to make you full. It was really tasty. They have cage-free, gluten -free, and bland free food! My Dad is hard to please with food these days and he liked it a lot! I had the BLTE without the E(gg) and it was very filling. It was on whole grain bread and it came with a tangy salad. My Dad had the TriFecta which comes with either pancakes or a Belgium Waffle anyway you want it topped. I finished my meal with a Booster drink. It's a decent spot for breakfast and brunch which opens 7a to 2:30p. That's the reason the name came from. My daughter and I visited in the morning on Friday, crowded but I promptly seated at the booth by the window. The deco caught my eyes instantly because this simple and neat deco is my favorite. It's made out of woods everywhere but not overwhelmed. The ambience was convivial with friendly staffs and clienteles as well. We ordered the blueberry pancakes, avo toast, and coffee. The food presentation was impressive. The blueberry pancakes served in the square plate with the separate hot maple syrup bottle, and the strawberry compote. The avo toast also served on the pretty plate with two over easy eggs. Everything was really delicious, decent with the reasonable price. As a casual breakfast, it's impeccable spot. ***First Watch has excellent service, a delicious sounding menu and a very good juice bar, but the food somewhat disappoints*** I first heard of First Watch several years ago while reading Consumer Reports, which did a rating of the many chain restaurants across the country. First Watch, which is solely a breakfast and lunch establishment, was rated exceptionally high. I tried one in the Kentucky-Cincinnati area several years ago and it was decent so I decided to give this location a shot. First Watch's menu is immediately exciting for a chain restaurant. They feature a variety of seasonal items and most of them sound delicious. Their regular menu features many interesting choices too with both an assortment of healthy options as well as the inclusion of many ingredients you would not typically see at a chain breakfast establishment. Overall, the food I have had at this First Watch has been decent but not great. The croque madame was very disappointing as the bread was not crisp and the sauce was bland. The sausage biscuit sandwich was okay. A lot of the ingredients were fine on their own like the arugula, like the nicely seasoned sausage patty and like the freshly prepared egg. But as a whole, the sandwich did not quite work. I think it was because it was too big. It made it hard to get all the flavors in the same bite and the dryness of the biscuit kind of overwhelmed everything. But if this dish was prepared as two small sliders instead, maybe it would have been a completely different experience. While I would have preferred a more traditional English muffin to the ciabatta used, their BLT benedict was pretty good and showcased great colors including green from avocado and arugula, yellow from the hollandaise, red from the crispy thick bacon and tomato slices, and white from the nicely poached eggs. It was not my favorite eggs benedict but definitely a respectable version. Their juices are often good. Their always-on-the-menu kale tonic showcases a very noticeable cucumber flavor, faint bitterness from the kale juice, sweetness from a sweet Fuji apple juice, and then lemon to help keep any one flavor from standing out too much. Their seasonal chai, carrot and cinnamon juice was even better as the sweetness from the carrot was very satisfying while the spicy aroma from both the chai and the cinnamon was the perfect combination. Service is consistently friendly, quick and excellent. Prices are not too high here and portions are generous. First Watch is definitely worth a visit if you live in the area. I am sure they get busy so I go early to beat the peak breakfast crowd. While I have not loved the food I have had here, I appreciate the quality ingredients and the variety of choices, which should easily accommodate the varied tastes of a big group looking for a satisfying breakfast. The menu itself is extensive: had plenty of healthy options: breakfast and lunch foods. The prices are around $10 a dish but honestly the portion were huge (I only finished half). I ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes. They were warm, fluffy, and perfectly sweet. It came with lemon curd and strawberries on top with a side of warm syrup (YUM). My mom ordered the pesto chicken quinoa bowl. It was the first time either of us tried quinoa and I liked it! Honestly the flavors reminded me of Halal bros (very savory). We both had wished there were more veggies in it but it was still good! The food was filling without being heavy and making us feel like we stuffed ourselves. Service was kinda shaky in the beginning. It took awhile for the server to come out initially to get our drink orders, but once she was there the service was solid. Wait times tend to be a bit long but they do their best to not keep people waiting and you cant fault them for folks wanting to eat there!! This visit we tried the rainbow bread which is a summer special and a thick toast with ricotta and topped with fruit, granola and honey drizzle. A solid dish but very light on the ricotta so honestly wouldnt order again unless I asked for ricotta like the picture. Also had the lemon ricotta pancakes and these have always been very well made here. No issues and delicious. Good coffee, friendly service, fresh orange juice.... just an all around solid morning or lunch spot. You know how smoothies are good because you can hide veggies in them and you won't know you're drinking kale or spinach? That's how I feel about this place. Their concept is fresh wholesome food. This place is perfect for my husband and I as I am currently pregnant and eat all things. And he's working out and likes a nutrient filled breakfast. He very must enjoys the power bowel which is quinoa, poached eggs, chicken, and veggies. The trifecta I think is the best bang for your buck. It's eggs, a protein and a choice of waffle or a pancake. And the pancake is the size of your face! And they have various choices banana, berry, chocolate chip. Roughly $9? The loss of star is only because I wish they had more breakfast sides or combos. And some of their plates are pricey for what you get. Specifically the French toast I really want to get them but $8 for only two slices. So sad. Either way I've been here three weekends in a row. First off, if you're gonna check-in using the yelp app you're doing yourself a disservice if you're not checking in way ahead of time from your house. I went with a friend and we both checked in at roughly the same time. I checked in a bit before her on the yelp app check-in service. She checked-in person with the staff. They were obsessed with clarifying to make sure you really wanted to check in. I think I heard the gentleman ask like 15 people if they would like to check in. No dude, we waited here to compliment you on your hairdo. But she was called for her seat before me, and I probably would have had to wait another 5-10 mins max, not a big deal but something worth noting. Wait wasn't terrible for a Sunday brunch, overall we were 22nd in line when we started and it took approximately 30 mins. Service quality wasn't terrible but it wasn't great. You can tell that staff is new to their jobs and don't really quite understand the nuances of their jobs to make the experience great. Finally on to the food. Had an order of their million dollar bacon, which if we're being real is bacon. Hard to complain about anything there. It was covered in some sweet tangy spicy sauce. Good stuff would recommend. I also had an order of the lemon ricotta pancakes. It was meh, overly sweet but that's pancakes for you. The problem was their crab summer omelette. Okay, I know what you're thinking. "You ordered a omelette with crab in it?" Yeah, like I said I know it wasn't a great idea. But we were sold on the fact that is was marked "fresh" Whoever did think of making that though needs to be tied down and beat. Not like lightly or for foreplay but like, beat senseless. It was probably the worst dish ever. I feel bad for my friend who ordered it, the crab definitely was not fresh, and if it was they must have left it out to spoil or don't know how to handle it properly. The rest of the dish was just a big question mark. It's essentially an omelette with a large batch of crab meat in the center with some pico de gallo then smothered in cholula sauce. The crab was overall super fishy smelling, that should have been the first red flag, and we probably should have sent it back but figured we'd at least try it.
