Love this place. The food and service are always good. And as much as I love a good plate of biscuits, it's nice to have a "non-Southern" breakfast option out here in the burbs. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the wait time and insane lobby congestion during busy periods. Sometimes you can barely get in the door because so many people are lined up to pay their check. For guests, I highly recommend using the app to get on waitlist before you arrive. For starters, I've never heard of First Watch, and drove right past it on my first attempt to meet someone there for brunch today.. The nitty gritty-- been to every kind of breakfast place possible-- buffet, high dollar, cheap, ... even places that need to be closed .... This is a great place in Hermitage .. (In a new strip mall next to AT&T and MellowVape)... Rustic loft decor with hardwood flooring, weathered-look benches, chalkboard signs all around, brown paper menu, that rustic type of decor... Verdict: great food and atmosphere... That's the greatest takeaway here-- small tables dominate the floor plan (very few booths) and only one bathroom stall per gender but the flexibility of free standing tables makes it a great choice for groups of varying sizes ... (Office lunch!!!).... However If it's peak meal time expect a small wait... Service is good and getting better... Hot chocolate is chocolaty not watery .... !! I had a Belgian waffle and my table mates had eggs and omelets... Clean plates all around ... !! We'll be back. read more

Always great service, their kale tonic is delicious, farm veg omelet is so good. Brioche french toast is amazing. It's bright, kinda loud, but comfy enough, with modern rustic no-fuss decor. Nice big booths fit 6 adults comfortably. Best brunch in Donelson-Hermitage area. TIP: download their online app to "get in line," it's basically like call-ahead seating. Otherwise be prepared to wait in a small crowded space for 45min to an hour. They could use more parking. Also annoying, you pay up front at the hostess stand right where people are entering and exiting the place. Not that great of service, but I'd still give that maybe 2 stars. But they couldn't even make toast right. Eggs were dry and sausage was also burnt but I hated to be such a bother so I just ask for another piece of toast and get one just as burnt. First watch is one of my FAVORITE places to eat at but I'm definitely not coming back to this one. While first watch is more expensive than your usual brunch/breakfast place the quality of food and service makes up for it but this one doesn't hold up that up very well, so I felt like my money wasn't well spent. I have been here a couple of times and I think this is quickly becoming my favorite breakfast/brunch place. The food is delicious and if you or someone with whom you are dining has special dietary needs, this place is very accommodating. I was on the whole 30 challenge the first time I ate here and ended up with a delicious, compliant meal. On this visit I had no such restriction so: pancakes, pancakes, pancakes! Did I mention the food is delicious? Yeah? It bears repeating. The only downside is that it is generally super busy which means long wait times and extremely loud environment. I actually had to scream my order three times at the waiter and he still barley heard me (which is why I do pickup now). If you can tolerate the crowds and noise, the atmosphere of First Watch is great. Highly recommended! read more

They have two other locations one in Franklin and one in Brentwood and thank God we finally got one in Hermitage Tennessee. Moved to Tennessee from Tampa, where some good friends of mine through the years have both worked at and enjoyed dining and brunching at First Watch down there. I have always loved their generous, consistently prepared balanced meal style servings of breakfast classics and fusion favorites, and their ability to substitute menu items with ease at Florida locations. I was thrilled to find one here in Hermitage, TN!!! Our waitress told us that this location is a flagship restaurant for a new theme and style of decor for several First Watch restaurants nation wide. Absolutely love this "early bird gets the worm" breakfast, lunch, and brunchery, and highly recommend it!!! Worth the wait, outside seating also an option in Hermitage location!!! We took family 2 days in a row because the food and service is so good. However the Sunday, October 8th we came we were told a 20-30min wait and it was hour 30 minutes. When I went to check with the hostess about the extra long wait she had a poor attitude and acted like I was out of line for even questioning the wait. There was plenty of room to move tales to accommodate our party of 5. I don't live in that area but if I did I probably wouldn't go or recommend that location to anyone. Came here while I was visiting Nashville. It was a weekday morning around 8 so we got seated in less than 5 minuets. Our sever was very friendly and made sure we were taken care of. I got the eggs benedict with bacon. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the sauce was flavorful, my lil brother got the kids French toast plate and he finished it at the blink of an eye. Went here for Sunday brunch while visiting Nashville for a long weekend. I enjoyed my breakfast, especially the wheat toast with jam that came standard with my meal. I ordered the Italian omelet, which I enjoyed and easily finished. Coffee was hot and strong which anyone can appreciate for breakfast. A nice touch was the offering of free coffee while you wait for a table-as we waited about an hour for one on a rainy Sunday morning. Fresh food and ingredients; not like the food service stuff you find at many places. Lots of different options, but not at all overwhelming; however some items strike a similar note. Kids meals are pricer than I'd expect, so we opted to have the kids split two sides and only paid a dollar more for a similar quantity of food to some of the selections (admittedly, some items probably have more food than others.) The noise level was overwhelming, which the restaurant can't really help. I only note it in the review so people will be aware. read more
