I had just left the gym and needed a good meal before class, I'm so glad I chose this place!! First time here. Not only is it clean and quaint, but they source their ingredients from local growers! I am a huge fan of small businesses and supporting locals. I literally need to come here everyday of my life. The price isn't bad at all, I value myself enough to eat quality food! For those who know what's good in this world, you need to come here. I had the avocado toast, healthy turkey omelette, and one of their fresh juices! I've worked in the service industry for many years off and on and any table of mine that waits 30 minutes for food is going to get something comped. I paid $11 for one pancake one piece of sausage and two eggs that took about 30 minutes to come out. The staff was nice but they acted like it was not a big deal. First time being at first watch. Heard great review about this place through patients. We had a staff breakfast for one of our boss' birthday. Majority of us ordered the eggs Benedict and the egg was way over cooked! On all of ours. Eggs Benedict the egg is suppose to be poached and runny. It was super hard. The bacon had to be sent back twice because it was dripping in oil and also soggy. I'm not sure because it was a new location but maybe it'll improve over time. But I did enjoy their house coffee. Another great breakfast from the First Watch chain. The first one I went to was in Arizona and this one was just as good. Consistency is hard to find within a decent non-fastfood chain especially in a different state, but these guys do it and do it well. I had a skillet that killed it! Very good! Hubs and I met some friends here, which used to be the Egg and I. Turns out it's the same company but they just changed the name. The decor is different too, and I like it much better. Warmer, woodier, and great service too. Our food came out at a reasonable time, coffee was good, we had no problems whatsoever. I liked the Egg and I at this location, the Hwy 6 location, not so much. Egg and I was just getting a little tired in its flavor and decor, and First Watch is a much welcomed change. I've been here twice. Both times, the service was wonderful. The wait system is great, they call, text and Yelp also lets you see your place in line rather than the old traditional hand buzzers. I am not a fan of bacon (I know right? I need a lobotomy) but Patrick did such a good job selling the Millionaire's Bacon to me that I acquiesced. And BOY, did it live up to his hype! Every server that walked past my table had to stop and fuss about my choice in order and how good and addicting it was. And addictive it is!! I came back today with Gregory and he was outstanding and friendly as well. I'm fact, everyone I've come into contact with that works here is outstanding. The dishes are just as good as the service. The 3 Farmstand Breakfast Tacos were great and I don't even like chorizo! (Hint, it comes with chorizo!) Also, the Farmhouse Skillet Hash was tasty too. I could not believe how good our breakfast was. We had avoided going when they first replaced The Egg and I by us. We just assumed it was the same run down Egg and I with a new name, not at all the case. The inside is completely redone, and it is a totally different place. The chefs get a 5 star since the food was great, however the service was terrible. We dealt with 4 different waitresses and our assigned waitress was never around. She asked for our order before even asking for our drinks and was about to walk away until I told her we would like our drinks first. Another waitress approached us with our drinks and then talked about the specials and menu with us unlike our first waitress and then took our order. Another waitress brought us our food and checked on us and the fourth brought us our bill, what happened to our assigned waitress?? Overall I don't think we will be returning. read more

This restaurant replaced what used to be The Egg and I. I guess I'd describe it as a menu full of healthier options than what you'd normally find at a breakfast restaurant. I liked The Egg and I better to be honest, but First Watch is good, too. Every single item that involves bread WILL be whole grain. I don't usually like my pancakes to have grains in them. They have other options, but my favorite breakfast food is pancakes, so if I don't like those, it's a tough sell for me. The other options on the menu are good, though, so it's not a bad choice overall. read more

I had frequented this place for years when it was the Egg and I and had some unique items on the menu that I really liked.. First Watch took it over and everything is different including the menu. Something has been lost and I really don't know what. The new menu is OK but does not have the dishes I liked at Egg and I and I think the prices are higher. Now it is just another crowded noisy chain owned breakfast place just like all the others in town. Last week I drove all the way to the Woodlands to stop at the last Egg and I in existence on their last week before becoming another First Watch... sorry to see them go. read more

Finally a trendy, tasty, healthier place for breakfast! Same feel as if it were in the Heights but out in the suburbs. Need to work out the problem with the raw sugar not pouring - coffee experience wasn't what I had hoped for due to that, but still, the food was great. I tried the breakfast tacos and was not disappointed. Great spicy taste even down to the tomatoes. The black beans were seasoned just enough as if I had made them myself for me. Wow! First time customer here food was actually good and serving size was just right. Taste was really fresh you can taste the difference, cage free animal, mind you. I thought the place was so about being green thought the food was going to be dry and no taste. But boy was I wrong. Also gotta try there fresh juices delicious!!Service was a bit backed up but understood it's morning rush especially at 9 , 10 in the morning. But still the young lady took care of business lol. Place, well place was really clean, nice, and cozy. Makes you want to meet and greet everyone there. Now prices there fair prices it a few dollars more then your regular IHOP or Denny's. So it could add up at the end plus the tip . So I would be going back but not that soon. Lol. I spend dinner money by 11 am. Now the energy here is real alive. The food is not bad when it's warm but the last couple of times I've been there my food comes out cold. You know it's bad when the butter won't melt on the French toast. The service has never been good but it has gotten so bad the waitress wouldn't make eye contact because she knew she forgot the item I was waiting on. Five minutes later she sent it out with someone else. We also had to ask twice for fresh coffee, the one she gave when we first sat down was cold and could have been leftover from the day before... it was bad! read more

I have been there 3 times since it was a different brand, The Egg and I. It was great and this version is too; it has creative, tasty food, obviously targeted to younger people. The service staff has treated us well, and brings us food and what we request quickly. It's premium priced, but it's not a Slam Breakfast. I have noticed some customers there have an attitude that is not southern. But the nearby neighborhoods are popular with fresh arrivals from other states. We will keep going back. read more

First watch has been a favorite of mine since they opened. I always order the avocado toast and add the seasoned potatoes. Every single time without fail, the food is perfection. The avocado is fresh and perfectly seasoned, the homemade bread is soft and slightly sweet. The seasoned potatoes are my favorite.... I love potatoes so much my friends call me Natater, so I'm an expert on the subject. A restaurant that maintains food quality above all else is a restaurant that maintains my business and patronage. The staff is always friendly and the service and food are quick. I especially like Danielle. A friendly and warm lady that always has pep in her step. She greets you with a smile (hidden by a mask currently) and gives off more personality than can fit in the place. One time ordered Togo and she could see I was worn out in my pjs, and when I went to wait in my car, I was surprised when I heard a knock on my window, she had brought it to me so I would have to go back into the restaurant in my hobo chic attire.
