Excellent breakfast food! My daughter and I stopped by First Watch, the Louetta/249 State Hwy location in Tomball, Texas (Lakewood Forest). From the moment we set foot in this place , we were greeted with such a friendly welcomed and beautiful smiles! Immediately after we were seated, we were served our fresh coffee, the carafe was left at our table! My daughter decided on the Trifecta Breakfast which consists of 2 eggs, choice of breakfast meats (chicken patty, turkey sausage or bacon), a pancake or, waffle. I decided on the Traditional Breakfast which consisted of 2-eggs, (scrambled topped w/cheddar cheese) country potatoes, crispy thick bacon, & Artisan buttered toast and choice of fruit jam! Everything was delicious! Our wait staff tech was so attentive and went beyond the call of duty to see that all our needs and wants were met. I highly recommend this restaurant, the food is great, the Staff is very friendly, and the ambience is so clean and comfortable. We're definitely coming back! read more

Server Justin was great! One breakfast arrived cold and we asked for the manager who I will say did offer to replace it with a hot one but it was pretty obvious he felt I was bothering him by even mentioning it was cold. Eggs (scrambled) come with some herb on top but don't recall menu indicating that. Actually they tasted like powdered eggs. Coffee is good, again Justin was excellent. But that manager. Honestly one of the best breakfast/ lunch spots in the area. The nicest too. My husband and I came here for birthday and had the nicest waiter. The pumpkin are a must especially since I'm done of the rare people who doesn't get excited about pumpkin spice anything. When checking out we tried using a gift card but the system wasn't responding. The cashier offered a 50% off discount and returned the card to use at a separate visit. So here I am again enjoying a lunch date with my son. read more

We ate here for the first time yesterday - both kids had the chocolate chip pancake and I had the avocado toast. The pancakes were devoured but the avocado toast was disappointing. It was full of brown, stringy chunks of avocado and had very little flavor. Even when combined with the eggs, it was a very bland dish and visually unappealing with all the brown avocado pieces. I usually frequent the Champions location but lately the service has been subpar so I decided to give this location a try. I tried to order the same meal that I get every time which is the tri fecta with the pancake or waffle of my choice. I wanted the cinnamon roll waffle today which is seasonal but I was told I can't do that. Apparently at this location you can only substitute the certain kinds of pancakes or waffles. That was not one of them! No accommodations! No up charge! Nothing!Even when the waitress asked the manager because champions allows this it's still a no! Instead I have to order everything separately. At that point I didn't understand why I would order that way when the tri fecta is literally the exact same thing. So needless to say I didn't eat anything at all. Management didn't even make an attempt to come by our table to offer an apology or suggest another meal. On another note, my mom ordered and ate she enjoyed her meal. She ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes as a tri fecta and surprise surprise they up-charged her. They never up charge at champions and they are always very accommodating besides there management issues. I will not be returning to this location even if I was offered a free meal! The employees are unfriendly, the management needs to improve on customer satisfaction. If you eat here look at the other reviews and don't expect to leave satisfied. read more

The food is great- I mean it. Nice thick toast piled with butter, creamy cage-free eggs, thick-cut bacon. Delicious! BUT- they are so amazingly slow in their service. We ordered when the waitress first came over yet it took 25 minutes to get two entrees. Then the food came out warm, like it had been sitting for 10 or so minutes. The coffee is also lacking. As a breakfast destination, you must have good robust coffee. I don't know what it is, but it has a funky after taste. Also, the only cream option is the chemical stuff- International Delight. Bottom line: good food, ridiculously slow service, and iffy coffee. read more

Service is rather disappointing - Third visit today, and we sat for at least 10 minutes before anyone showed up to take Drink Orders. Took 25 minutes to get a simple Breakfast and Sandwich, when the place was almost empty. Food is OK - nothing special. $60 for 2 coffees, 1 millionaire bacon (really delicious) and 4 (1 child's @ $5.79 and 3 adult) meals. Not worth the exorbitant cost. Over-well egg came out over easy. Salmon had to be sent back as it was over cooked. Pancakes paled in comparison to the Egg and I wheat pancakes. We'll go back to Another Broken Egg next time. Not liking the change to first watch. The remodel is nice but the new operating philosophy is horrible. Staff seems stressed and rushed. Not the friendly environment that was present as the Egg and I. Kitchen is way slow getting the food out and then is warm at best. When it was Egg and I food showed up fast and was hot. As with change, Prices went up, quality down and portions smaller. I looked forward to my breakfast and time at Egg and I and based on my visits so far we will be going elsewhere where I feel less stressed and a quest for hot food. read more

I ordered the kids breakfast for my daughter and coke for me. We met my friend for lunch at the last minute and I had just eaten. However, I tasted my daughter's bacon, eggs, toast and fruit and it was all fresh. I wish they had drained the grease off bacon though. I will definitely return soon. The few times in the past we have eaten at First Watch we have not been all that impressed. The service, though always friendly, has been slow given the number of employees walking or standing around. (For example, it usually takes longer than I would expect for someone to greet the table once we are sat. Also, servers do not check on each others' customers - (i.e. teamwork). ) Also, the food has come out cold (Not sure if this is a front-of-the-house issue or a kitchen issue.) However, this time was different. Our server, Justin, was on top of things and the food came out promptly and was not cold. We're probably more likely to try again because of yesterday's experience. First Watch has a unique menu with different options than other similar restaurants and the staff is very friendly. I would suggest a some front-of-the-house training to have the servers work more collaboratively. read more

Definitely underwhelmed by this location. I love the first watch on champions forest. They always provide great service. This location however, definitely needs to rethink their trading. I came with my boyfriend and our daughter on MLK day, we were seated as soon as we walked in which was great but it al went down hill from there. The woman who will be our waitress walked past our table 4 times while we sat without drinks for 10 minutes. We finally order our drinks and again don't see her for another 10-15 minutes. A grandmother and granddaughter sit next to us and are immediately greeted and given their drinks. Our waitress then proceeded to take their order which of-course cause me to give her a death stare. She then comes over and takes our order. Well once again I don't see her for another 15 minutes as my daughter and boyfriend sit without any drinks. I have to ask 3 other servers to get us drinks. She then drops the waters off that I asked for 5 minutes prior and doesn't return to our table. The grandmother and granddaughter are eating by this time and we are still sitting there without food. Needless to say don't come to this location if you want to promo pt service. read more

First time there, the staff would not even acknowledge that i was waiting to be seated. They were to busy talking to eachother and I would guess a regular customer. After I asked a waitress to be seated because the hostess was to busy talking with everyone else, I finally got a seat. The food was good, but extremely slow coming out of the kitchen. The server never checked if I needed a coffee refill, or anything once my order was taken. 40 minutes later the food comes out and was delivered by someone else. After I hastily ate, i had to track down the server to get my check. 1 hour from the time I walked in and walked out. The weren't even busy.. I chocked that up to reopening disorganization. The second time looked like it was going to be a way better experience. We were seated quickly and server was attentive, until she took our order. She didnt write a single thing down. We should have left then. 40 minutes later, my wife gets her breakfast and it was all wrong. 5 mintues later my breakfast comes out. After 45 minutes i was thinking the better be worth it. Nope. Ice cold. We flagged down the server to get the manager. The manager came out taking off a cook apron. He seemed like i was bothering him and said he would re cook the order. I told him absolutely not, we were never coming back. They did charge us for my wifes wrong order and coffee that they never refilled. I threw down cash and got out of there. Never again. If you want to treated poorly, get cold food and be overcharged for cold food, then go there. IHOP blows this place out of the water, and I dont even like IHOP. read more
