Service wasn't amazing. It took about 7 minutes for someone to greet me (party of 1). I don't necessarily like that they leave the coffee and water on the table for you to self serve. I am also a breakfast server so that might just be my personal preference for service. I wasn't blown away by the portions for paying $10 but the food was awesome. I would be back, i just wasn't thrilled on the service. Granted I was also doing homework, but still!! Greet me!! At least say someone will be with you can i grab you a drink. First watch definitely uses better products than IHOP or Denny's, but falls short of an "amazing" breakfast spot. They have nice, light breakfast dishes, and I enjoyed the french toast with the fresh fruit on top. I found the savory food to lack any real flavor, very bland. The coffee is pure water (folgers? maybe) steer clear if you drink real coffee. The home fries were a failure, dry and flavorless. First watch forms a line on the weekends because there are few alternatives in the area. They had creatives ideas on the menu, but failed at execution. read more

I stopped in to this UCF location with some of my co workers after a Saturday morning meeting. This was my first time going there and it's definetly a popular spot. There was about 10 of us in our group but we still managed to be seated within a reasonable amount of time. The restaurant itself has a modern/country style theme to it with rural deco and wood grain accents on the tabletops and walls. The atmosphere you can expect is college students with friends to parents treating their kids to brunch. Feel free to dress casually and enjoy a relaxed setting because the majority of people are buzzing with good conversation over tasty food. As for our food everything was delicious and looked great aside from a few inconsistencies for some of the people in our group. The staff was very attentive to have anything fixed for us that we didn't like to perfection. In the end the manager on staff, Carly, was very helpful with ensuring if there was anything else that we needed. Additionally she provided us with a coupon for a special for our next visit which I thought was really sweet of her to do because it was a sincere gesture to show that they really want you to keep coming back and have a great experience. For my first time I would say there were a few spots of feedback to work on but, my food was still great, the staff was friendly, and I feel like I would come back again. I was shocked when I found out this was a chain restaurant...food was absolutely delicious, healthy, and fresh. Most certainly deserving of five stars. I loved the outdoor patio and our server was wonderful. She was attentive, didn't mind our complicated order and constantly changing decisions, and even had a sense of humor despite it all. We asked how many "First Watch" locations there were, and instead of saying "Oh I don't know" she actually found out and reported back to us a couple minutes later (230 FYI, completely shocking since I've never heard of it). As for the food, well, I had a terrible time deciding what to get because everything looked so appetizing. Even though it's a breakfast and lunch restaurant, there are so many options for either meal that you will definitely want to nibble off of your neighbor's plate just to try another dish. The Kale Tonic is PERFECTION. Yes, I said it. Perfection. I was planning on getting the carrot juice but unfortunately they were all out of ingredients, so it leaves me something to try next time! Everyone at my table loved their meals and left full and satisfied. The salads all looked good, especially the kale salad which is fantastic and comes with a very unique maple dressing. The french toast is topped with kiwis, strawberries, and bananas, and served with a berry sauce so if you have a sweet tooth, this is a terrific choice. Prices I found were all very reasonable, especially when you know that what you are getting is both tasty and delicious. I can confidently say that you will not be disappointed by First Watch, especially this location which is conveniently located near University of Central Florida, and I am looking forward to trying more next time! read more

Signed in and got my place in line on the App... got to the restaurant at the time suggested by the App. When we arrived my app said 3 people in line in front of us and approximately a 5 min wait. When I checked in with the hostess he said he did not see us on his list and was confused by my App. Which clearly was the correct location and time. I am not a chain restaurant fan--until now. When I went to First Watch I thought it was just a regional little place with a few restaurants . . . little did I know there are (thankfully) 230! Only a breakfast and lunch place, you won't be disappointed with either feast. We especially enjoy the "pick two" lunch option where you can select a half sandwich, salad or soup for under $8. My fabulous kale salad and half market veggie sandwich completely satisfied--and I was grateful for the pick two choice since I couldn't decide which thing to order! The maple dressing on the salad had a perfect, strong maple flavor to balance with the kale and roasted veggies on the salad. The veggies on the market sandwich were tossed in a creamy sauce that made them melt in your mouth. Others at the table enjoyed the french toast (topped with fresh banana, kiwi and strawberries), an open face chicken salad sandwich and side of greens, and the half Monterey club sandwich and Santa Fe salad. To top off the meal we enjoyed a fresh juice: Kale Tonic. Delicious green juice of kale, cucumber, lemon and Fuji apple. I can't wait to try more when I am at a location that has this fresh, locally sourced restaurant. read more

My son took me to breakfast here last week and it was wonderful. Prompt and friendly service. Hot, delicious coffee. Great array of breakfast/brunch dishes to choose from. Fresh, organic and healthy options. Very generous portions. I had the egg white omelet with spinach, turkey, tomatoes & cheese, and it was excellent. My son had one of the traditional breakfast plates with eggs, sausage and toast, and it looked wonderful. My latest visit was noteworthy and deserving of an updated review. The dine in staff really know how to take care of their guests. Going for breakfast on the weekends will likely result in a wait for a table but once you get seated everything else goes quick. We were greeted by our server right away and provided with our drink orders. Then not long after placing our food orders, each one of our orders came out. Breakfast entrees and sandwich and soup combos were hot and fresh for us. My order of the Traditional Breakfast with crispy bacon and eggs over medium came out as expected. This was my first visit andI love a good breakfast place. Very organized efficient seating system. My breakfast Taco's were filling, slightly bland. Our waitress was short but got the job done. My wife, who loves pancakes, didn't care for the blueberry pancakes and finished only 1/4 of her plate and didn't ask to bring the rest home(very unusual for her). Our waitress, dropped the check off 3/4 of that way through or meal and that was the last we saw of her. For a recommended spot, I expected more, i.e. Wildberry's in Chicago. As far as Orlando, FL is concerned, F.W is the place to eat breakfast period. I enjoyed F.W. when I used to live in Phoenix, AZ many years ago. It's still as good as it once was. Food is served fresh, hot and delicious. I am the king of complain, but there isn't much to complain about at this place because things are done right. I had the blueberry pancakes which were delicious. I also tried the turkey sausauge with eggs, and an english muffin. To top it all off, F.W offers pure maple syrup. The worst breakfast I've ever had. I ordered the 'traditional' breakfast featuring overcooked and cold scrambled eggs, a rubber like English muffin and some really funky hash brown potatoes. The potatoes were so bad my friend opted out. Everything was bland and cold and thrown on a plate with no apparent effort at presentation, completely barren of any garnish. Management does not have their eye on the ball- they rely on work process without monitoring - two tables went over twenty minutes without being cleared while there was over a 30 minute wait - mgmt just chit chatted with staff - the food was ok - although my toast was bread and my side of greens was a bit shy of side order. first time at a first watch in florida. we had a 15-20 minute wait, but that's to be expected, and when we were finally seated i noticed that everyone was working super fast to bus tables and keep the wait time to a minimum. our server was incredibly sweet. my friend likes her bacon extra crispy (pretty much charred), and our server had no problem sending it back. i had the crepeggs, which i would definitely try again. i wasn't a fan of the turkey they used...it kind of seemed like cut up deli turkey breast, but the rest of my meal was fantastic. i came here with 3 girls and each of us tried something different, but i would have been fine eating any one of their meals - - everything looked so delicious. read more

I love first watch, it's a ritual breakfast place to go to and I feel a much better chance of getting well cooked food in comparison to say Denny's. Granted the food is not always made to perfection, but anytime I've had an issue they have politely traded my food out and made me a happy camper. I love all their skillets, they are literally amazing just watch the heat when they bring it out! Burned taste buds suck. Orange juice is really pulpy and I'm not a fan, but the coffee is good. The lighter options give you the same benefit of flavor without all the hoopla of added carbs and fat. The lean machine is a favorite of mine for lighter breakfast days during the week.
