The restaurant was super clean and appeared very organized! Our server Tracy was phenomenal!! Super informative about the new specials and helped guide us on what to order as a couple of us have food allergies. Being new to Oro Valley we are having a great time finding new places to to eat. We discovered First Watch by accident and are we glad we did. It's our new daytime hangout for breakfast and lunch. The place is comfy and very clean and light. The service couldn't be friendlier and the food is top notch.Very fresh and tasty. My favorite is the coffee pot they leave at your table! My husband loves their giant cinnamon chip pancake,heaven on earth. I love the tri athlete egg white omelette. Wonderful pico de Gallo and diced roasted chilies on the side. Yum!! I got the acai squeeze $3.99, breakfast tacos $9.99 and lemon ricotta pancakes $9.79. Acai sqeeze was great! I love juices, especially in the morning so it was def refreshing and made me feel great putting all that good stuff in my tummy. Would get again! Pricing is great! Juices like this at the grocery stores are $5/6 itself sometimes. Breakfast tacos were wonderful! Meat was cooked just right and flavored well. Love the sauce they had added in there, would def get this again! Lemon ricotta pancakes were great as well! Pancake was perfectly cooked and they gave me plenty of strawberries on top and a good amount of lemon ricotta. Service was good, wasn't the best, what's the worst. It was a little busy at the time so.. I guess it was good for the time of day. This place is in a shopping plaza/center so there's a huge parking lot and plenty of spaces to park. Haven't been here for a few months. The last 3 experiences were not good. Cold food, terrible service and the quality and presentation of the food has declined. The servers disappear and never return. If they do, it's only once. And, that's if you're lucky. For the dining experience the prices are too high. read more

We are new to Tucson. Found this place & I'm totally addicted to their Honey, Pecan salad. We've eaten here 3x's so far & I've always ordered that salad alone or with 1/2 sandwich. The hubs has had the turkey burger, the club sandwich, & the honey pecan salad. All of which he's been happy with. The food has been consistently delicious. Someday we're actually going to have breakfast because they have interesting sounding dishes, not just the run of the mill eggs & meat & bread stuff. I would have rated 5 stars but the service is consistently slow & they seldom come around to check drinks etc. The ratio of servers to tables is just inadequate to facilitate good service. read more

I tried them twice when they weren't busy because I've had poor service in the past here. Regrettably it wasn't better the first time back, but the second time was better. But there was no half and half for the coffee. Big bummer when I'm spending $25 a head for breakfast right? This place has a lot of hype so my partner and I decided to check it out since we just recently moved back here. The food here is alright. There are some creative options. The lady got biscuits and gravy. It was just so-so. I got salmon eggs Benedict which was pretty good. We shared a pancake which was fine. A regular blueberry pancake. So for average food and fairly small portions, the prices are too high in my opinion. It's just that simple. Then there is the service. The guy upfront was great. Very friendly. Our waiter was just kind of off. He seemed very distracted. Then he had our food sent to the wrong table. The people next to us were very confused. We waved at them and let them know that was likely ours lol. Then they flagged down the waiter who brought it over to us. Glad they didn't decide to dig in before they realized. They were apologetic but still. Then, no refills on coffee or water. They're close so we may give it a go again. It's such a nice concept but it lacks a bit of execution. read more

I pretty much always order the avocado toast with scrambled eggs, it's just so delicious and tasty. My friend had oatmeal and she was thrilled with how it was prepared. I had a special "eggs Benedict " prepared w/ gluten free English muffins and dairy free. I ordered the tri-fecta: waffle, eggs and porky sausage. There is a choice of waffle or whole wheat pancake and choice of bacon, turkey sausage or pork sausage. We visited Tucson to attend my cousin's wedding and being the big foodie we all are, I did some online research on great brunch places....A picture of the avocado toast at First Watch was what caught my eye and after showing my family members the rest of the photos, I knew we had to go. My dad was reluctant to wait, but I told him, if there is this much people here on a Saturday morning in Tucson, it MUST be good! haha. Well to our very own surprise, everything we had was amazingly delicious and flavorful! Each item on the dish was so fresh as well, from the avocados to the strawberries...yum! The next morning we were thinking we should try a new place, but thinking about how great of a meal it was the first time, my family and I came to a consensus to try something new on the menu at the same restaurant! DEAL! haha. Most Memorable Dishes: - Chickichanga - this is a definite must! Loved this so much and I wish I got it again on my second day there! Instead of a tortilla wrap, the wrap was made with eggs, kind of like a crepe, and it was filled with a bunch of flavorful southwestern ingredients...yum! Definitely worth trying. - Million Dollar Bacon - not sure if this is a special, since it's only the blackboard, but it was delicious! Four strips of bacon topped with maple syrup and brown sugar and cooked just right. The sweetness really balanced out the saltiness, perfect combo! - Lemon Ricotta Pancakes - definitely get this if you are a sweets person! The pancakes were so fluffy and light and topped with that sweet and tart lemon ricotta with strawberries, definitely a great end to an amazing brunch! - Sourdough Toast - I mean, it's just bread, but dang, that bread they use, toasted with some butter, my mom was fighting me for it from my plate! I literally had to guard her from taking another slice! hahaha. Being the good son that I am, I surrendered and gave her the last slice. lol. - Mediterranean Baked Eggs - aka "shashuka" - it was actually pretty good! Not the same as the shashuka I have had in NYC, but their rendition of the Mediterranean breakfast dish was pretty good! The tomato based sauce pairs very well with the ciabatta bread it comes with. Super flavorful! Things I did not really enjoy - the chicken melt, the club sandwich, and the french toast. The french toast sounded really good on the menu, but when we got it, it was just okay, not terrible, just no wow factor for me. I also tried the biscuit and gravy, also just okay. Overall, I would highly recommend this breakfast and brunch place to anyone visiting Tucson! It is a local chain (I think) but you will be getting a really good meal at a very good price (compared the East coast prices that I am used to) haha. Go eat and enjoy! read more

The dissapointment was the 35 minute wait for breakfast food, and not being able to get sugar for the coffee until the coffee was cold. Best breakfast spot in town. Staff is lovely. My family frequents this spot, it stays busy throughout the week. Even on a weekday on an off hour they'll be busy. It's the food. The quality is unmatched by any other place in town. Miles above Bisbee breakfast club and all the other popular brunch spots around town, except maybe Prep and Pastry, who can can compete food wise, but this place has a better atmosphere. A much more quiet spacious area, less wait time for a table and faster service. So to answer their question, yes I love them more than bacon read more
