Service was terrible, we had to wait for 1 hour to get our food. Finally when we got the food it was cold. Food is ok, I wouldn't say it is great. Not worth it. Had a pretty terrible experience but the food was okay. They said it was a 30 minute wait for a table for 5 with a baby. I but it took over an hour to be seated. Found out the table was ready but the chef asked not to seat more people. So we had to stand outside while the table sat empty inside. Then it took another hour before our food came out. I'm giving one star not because the food is bad or for poor service. It's because we never got a chance to experience either. My wife and I put ourselves on the wait list using their website. We arrived on time waited an additional 40 minutes and were told it was going to take an additional 15 minutes. They were lacking in busing the tables and I saw people waiting over 20 minutes to be waited on. There were more empty tables than tables with customers. read more

I was very excited about getting a new breakfast place in Pearland. The inside is nice and the staff was friendly, but the food was mediocre. First of all, they didn't have non-dairy creamer for the coffee so i ordered the morning meditation juice instead. The menu said it was fresh squeezed, but it tasted like something out of a bottle....like Hawaiian Punch or something. They don't offer any milk other than cow milk. It's hard to believe with all the milk choices available today that this "new" place doesn't offer any milk alternatives???. Even Denny's has soy and almond milk. Some people just don't want to drink cow tit juice. I had the chia pudding and almond butter toast. It was ok... but You can't really go wrong with toast. I would like to see more plant based options offered in the "healthier side" menu options. Turkey slices and cheese are not "healthy" options. The CDC has already classified processed meats (deli slices) as a class 1 carcinogen. And cheese has a ton of saturated fat which leads to heart disease, the number one cause of death in the US. So...Definitely not "healthy". read more

Save your time and go to another broken egg. After the long wait we ordered 3 omelettes. 1 was wrong and the 2nd was ice cold so we sent them back after waiting 30 minutes for our food. They managed to screw up a simple egg white omelette with cheese, bacon and spinach 3 times. The second omelette came after waiting another 30 minutes and was made incorrectly. The man next to us had a CATERPILLAR in his salad. Waitress never came back after taking our order. The manager was useless and had poor customer service skills. I was so excited to try this place. I love the decor and healthy menu options. I was especially looking forward to the fresh pressed juice. But when my family and I got there, we were stunned to see not one employee was wearing a mask. The place was packed full, with no regard to social distancing at all. We asked for a table outside. The manager looked exasperated and said he would have to clean those first, so we'd have to wait a bit. All 4 outdoor tables had stacks of dirty dishes, even though no one was sitting there at the time. We waited 10 minutes, during which time we saw one server cough multiple times and another sneeze without covering her face, as she was carrying a tray of food to a table. Remember, no one had a mask. We quietly slipped out the door and left, feeling oddly grateful that the manager never got around to cleaning those outdoor tables. If you're at all concerned about covid and the highly contagious delta variant, you should probably avoid First Watch. read more

Not enough people working - long line of guest out the door while half the restaurant is empty with tables waiting to be seated or dirty tables not cleaned for the next party to be seated. Here waiting on line for an hour now and I see at least two dirty tables that have been sitting dirty for 20 mins now. Some of the waiters don't seem to have a care in the world about moving quickly to accommodate the long lines. Don't think I will be coming back. read more

I've eaten at First Watch a few times now. The food isn't bad, but the service is atrocious. Today I went in for pickup. The lady on the phone said it would be ready in 15 minutes, however when I got there the hostess said they would start it in 10 minutes and when I asked her when it be ready she shrugged her shoulders and looked annoyed. Last time I went there to pick up food, my order wasn't complete. I notified the lady, and she said I would need to go to the bar and figure it out because she was busy. The food was very good and they had a wide variety of options for breakfast, brunch and lunch, there was also plenty of vegan and vegetarian options which was good. Watched as several tables seated after us got to order. Observed several waitstaff walking around multiple times like they were confused about what to do. The food at First Watch is awesome and I've had some great experiences. However, my experience today was so awful that I'm not sure I'll be back. A group of Mom friends decided to venture out for a lunch date with our littles. I get it... no one likea small children in restaurants, but we had a 1:1 ratio for mom to toddler so it was not a wild bunch. The restaurant was [at most] 1/2 full when we arrived and parties were being seated quickly. We corralled out tribe of toddlers in the corner for over 30 minutes waiting for a table, but we were never seated. When we asked the hostess if we could please get a table, we were told that they were clearing a table for us. After another 10-15 minutes, we still not seated so we opted to take our business down the row. We had a great experience at Fire Stone Pizza Bar where our kiddos were treated like royalty (and even got to eat for free). read more

My family and I came to First Watch with the hope of having a great time for my sister's birthday. We heard of the place from a friend so we decided to check it out. It took around 3 minutes to get us seated, which is fine. The main issue is the fact that we waited for around 55 minutes for our food. We ordered 2 pancakes, 2 french toasts, and 1 waffle. That food is simple to make and could've easily been brought out in like 30 minutes. We wasted an hour waiting for food while other customers that arrived after us got their food much quicker. We became restless and decided to leave. When we went to pay for our drinks, the total came out to around $13, which has us all shocked. It was only 3 regular drinks & 1 kid drink and the total was already that high. Not to mention how there was no hostess in the front which had people waiting. Awful service. I would rate this place a 0 if I could, definitely ruined my sister's birthday. We ended going to Denny's down the street and we got our food, ate, and left faster than we did at First Watch. I am very disappointed with First Watch off of Broadway in Pearland. I was served a cold breakfast for starters. I had to track down the waitress to take the food back and give me a fresh at least warm plate of eggs and sausage and she did finally. The food was subpar but that's not the real issue. That night I had uncontrollable food poisoning!! I couldn't even keep water down. After many hours of indescribable pain and anguish I was able to function again. I am certain that I received food poisoning from the undercooked food at First Watch as that was the only thing I ate that day. I even gave the waitress a $5 for the cold meal. The next day I called to discuss this issue with the manager, apathetic to the pain and torment I had endured, she said she would let the district manager know. I have called back multiple times sense then and I have received the same response. Now they are putting me on hold and hanging up on me. Please avoid this place if you don't want to be hugging the toilet for 8 hours!! read more

I called the First Watch, the Pearland Kirby Commons location today to place a carry out order of their Chicken Salad sandwich - btw, really yummy; they recently showcased their food at an employee fair I attended and was really impressed with their set up, their friendliness, everything! So, imagine my surprised at how the whole situation developed. The phone was picked up 3 times and simultaneously hung up w/o anybody saying a word. When I finally got through, I was put on interminable hold (20+ minutes), then hung up on. Called back 6 more times, again, someone picked up the phone then hung up. Called back a 7th time, asked to speak to a manager who said she would speak to her staff to make sure it does not continue to happen. I told her this was not helpful as I only took a 30 min. lunch and the majority had been spent on the phone, to which she regrettably, by her demeanor and tone, said she could take the order for me this one time and move it to the top of the line so it would be ready when I arrived. I told her they should be willing to deliver or wave deliver fee, to which she laughed and said that she could give me a SMALL discount but that was the best she could do and I would have to pick up. I asked for the owner's name or her superior and she said they are not here at the moment to which I said that was not what I asked and could she provide their name, it just steamrolled downhill from there; she refused to provide it saying it was a franchise and she is the one in charge. I said she was not the owner and she had to answer to someone, so could she give me their information; meanwhile she continued to speak over me, repeating over and over that it was a franchise. She said she could take my name and number and "possibly" have someone call me back; ugh, yes, I left my contact info., along with the message that I was not very happy and customer service was deplorable. When she repeated the info back to me, she called me Leslie - which is not even my name; I corrected and she still continued to call me Leslie. Needless to say, as yummy a that chicken salad sandwich is, I don't think I will be returning. read more

Came in for breakfast, on a weekend. While the atmosphere of the restaurant is nice it doesn't make up for overpriced menu items that aren't worth it. Maybe it was just so busy that they forgot key components of food items? But Floridian French toast with some kiwi chunks and strawberry pieces does not make up for the fact that the French toast tasted like it was just tossed in an egg and milk mixture with no vanilla or cinnamon. The "turkey sausage gravy" had no turkey sausage in it. It was like this bland lumpy brown gravy. We sat at the community table, and we quickly found out that it wasn't our pot of coffee that was bad, all of the coffee was bad. (When we asked for a refill pot it came with complimentary coffee grounds in the coffee). Towards the end of our meal new customers came to sit at the community table and the waiter completely ignored them. Save yourself the $40 bucks and find another place to brunch. read more
