This place is *still* great. The do-not-miss seasonal item? Short rib omelet. The eggs were perfectly cooked, not weird & spongy, not dry. The lemon cream sauce was not too tart, salty or heavy. The short ribs inside were so good, whoever made them either followed a recipe to a T or is just good in the kitchen with seasoning. The mushrooms inside could have been cooked a touch more, but the flavors were on point, so no "actual" dissatisfaction here. The salad mix on the side was basic, but a good compliment to the dish and the bread that came with it was also super tasty. It had the right amount of "chew" to it, and the dough had a good flavor to it. The family got their same order as always. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is parking is tight and while there's not much that can be done about that, parking capacity is limited. The restaurant has a western kind of decor with well lit booths and tables. The food was great with large portions and plenty of side dish options. I had the "Works" omelette and it was outstanding! Our party of 3 visited Sunday, mid morning so demand was high but the wait was short and we were seated within 15 minutes. Our waiter was promptly at our table to take our order and the food was soon at our table along with condiments, coffee and offers for anything else we needed. Excellent service! This is a good place to grab breakfast. It's not the most reasonably priced, but the menu options are pretty good and the food was great, although the portions are modest. It was also clean and well cared for, the staff were friendly. I'd describe this as 'a family kind of place', which is fine if you have a family or want a 'more civilized experience' - I'm a little more 'basic' most of the time, but this is a welcome change on occasion. This place is always so so good - my only issue is the wait staff. Some of them are just downright RUDE. I have come a few times and the food and drinks are always super fun, but the staff always leaves me feeling disappointed. We went there early Sunday morning at 7:30am. They open at 7am and early arrival is highly recommended-- since this place will probably be crowded after 8:30am. The setting and decors in this location were simple and clean --- which would make you feel comfortable like home. They offered 3 different kinds of freshly pressed juice: Kale Tonic, Red Medicine and Morning Meditation. We ordered Kale and Meditation, personally I love Meditation better, Kale was a little bit sour for me. Both of them were good. My friend loved his Chickichanga, which is one of the signature dish there. I ordered Egg Benedict --- two freshly made soft eggs with garden salad on the side --- feeling extremely healthy! This place were packed of customers when we finished our brunch. Planning on arriving early would always be the best strategy, if you do not like to wait in a line like me. Went there today for the first time & will definitely be going back. So many things I need to try!! Let me start this by stating everything we had tasted so incredibly fresh and the seasoning was on point with every dish! This was our very delicious meal: My fiancé had 'The Works' omelet which he highly enjoyed. Not much more to say about that one. We shared a Biscuits & Gravy order and was truly sad when it was gone! The gravy has sage in it and the biscuits were so crumbly soft. So freaking good! We ordered 2 orders of the million dollar bacon but were disappointed...it was just bacon. My fiancé said my bacon blows theirs away but he could just be trying to earn points! My meal was the 'Chickichanga' with fried potatoes. It was not a disappointment! Fresh avacado, veggies cooked just right....really, really good! On the recommendation by our waitress, we tried the 'Morning Meditation' juice which was amazingly refreshing and the coffee was pretty darn good too. We'll be going back soon. I asked the waitress for shredded hashbrowns instead of home fries she said no I asked for a whole milk she said no then I asked for black olives for my omelette she said no what breakfast place in the history of the United States does not have whole milk at a breakfast place shredded hashbrowns now OK I will accept the olives, but the other two no way then we get our bill and each of our coffee was four dollars apiece for regular drip coffee out of a coffee pot four dollars each orange juice four dollars each my diet Pepsi, four dollars the meal they were reasonably priced 12 and $13 but who in their right mind charges four dollars for a cup of Folgers coffee I definitely not recommend this place read more

I ordered the chickichanga which I have ordered before and loved... I'm not sure what they did this time but it was inedible and tasted awful. The avocado was not fresh, it was mushy and brown. The side of fruit consisted of one half a strawberry, one tiny piece of pineapple and one piece of melon. There was no pico de Gallo and the potatoes were burnt and so salty, I couldn't eat it. This is a cute little spot that was next to our hotel. My niece and husband brought me here and the service is great. Decor is very cute (farmhouse) We got the ham eggs benedict, breakfast hash and chickenchanga. All of it was okay. My iceD coffee was pretty much all milk but our server was great. My niece enjoyed her food but me and my nephew thought our food was okay. I was a little disappointed since i had higher expectations but maybe will try something diff next time. Also, one of my pet peeves is when at a restaurant, and they start mopping or cleaning by the kitchen. That happened :( read more

Beautiful menu choices! We ordered our breakfast online, for pickup. We had the following; 1) french toast--the multi-grain bread was ginormous (son said it was too healthy lol) 2) morning hash--gruyere, mushrooms, onions, etc. topped with two eggs cooked medium (or to your liking) fresh fruit (tiny cup) 3) the works omelette--ham, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, cheese, etc. 4) two juices fresh-squeezed (mine had carrot, orange, turmeric, etc. and my son's had ginger, beet, etc.)--they were delicious 5) donut holes--made out of cake flour is my guess; offered with both a chocolate and a raspberry sauce for dipping. They were delicious and densely packed (if you like donut holes to be less soft such as the ones you get from Dunkin' Donuts). One itty bitty tiny gripe--I called First Watch for the first time to inquire whether their outdoor seating is also welcoming to dogs. A lady named Kathy answered the phone. She said it was only for service dogs. So I said I will just place an order online. She offered to take my order over the phone. Could I call you back, I asked. Days prior, I called around to make last minute reservations for a party of 14 and after being rejected.. I decided to call this First Watch location. Although no reservations are accepted here, they allowed me to add my name to the waitlist before arriving. I did so and called to inform we were a total of 14 not 6 as that was the limit on the waitlist in the App. They quickly updated our headcount and as soon as we arrived, we were all seated . The table was ready to go and I was expecting to wait at least an hour. We did not wait a single minute. The lady who seated us was SO FRIENDLY and welcoming. Our waiter was phenomenal. She greeted all of us including the kiddos (made small conversation with them) and was extremely attentive to our needs as customers. It was my very first time visiting a First Watch and will definitely be returning. I visited my kids who attended college. I had breakfast here twice. Excellent healthy selection. The food was fresh, the service was great and the coffee was delicious. They also have delicious healthy fruit smoothy. I had the Kale Tonic juice and loved it. Very refreshing. I also had the avocado toast. I loved the selection of bread, they're all fresh and hearty. We made reservations on Yelp. It was quick and easy. The app also tells you the waiting time, which was very helpful. When you come to First Watch restaurant, there's plenty of space to sit. And the Shrimp & grits ... now don't shame me I'm a sugar & butter in grits type person so I had to add that plus some salt and pepper into them bad boys! They had an unique taste I can say but I did eat them just because well I just did hahaha my friend got veggie tacos I believe it was ! It might of been the breakfast tacos( whatever tacos they have) it was those but just with no meat & they did give what they were suppose to give !! Now the fresh juices I wasn't feeling my friend he took a few sips as well but they aren't really sweet just more healthy, but in all if you want a nice light meal this could be a spot for you to check out ! So I was super excited to come here upon a recommendation this morning. I was in Phoenix and needed a solid breakfast on my way out of town back to LA. Since this place was so highly rated, I decided it was likely a cant miss spot. So we got seated quickly. This surprised me as I am used to a wait, at a top tier breakfast joint. The staff was decently attentive, but not the best. We didnt get a drink refill, nor even a query if we needed one. We (the munchkin and I) ended up ordering off of the special seasonal menu. So she got the pancake special and really liked it, but thought it was very sweet. So sweet in fact that I would not be interested in it. But she felt this was potato nirvana. Literally she stated that these were the best potatoes that she has ever had. I agreed that the potatoes seemed good. But I got the poutine hash, which was good for a few bites before my taste buds were numbed into nothing special demi glaze reduction overdrive. The short rib meat was tasty. The cheese curds were melted, but placed under not over the potatoes, and then there was the glaze. I think with a better gravy or glaze if they insist, would have made this a knockout kind of meal. as it was, I was unimpressed with the service, and the food didnt stand out to me beyond the potatoes. The bacon was even fair to middelin. SERIOUSLY how does that happen? I literally have had better bacon at waffle house. Meh, I had a better meal at waffle house 2 mornings ago. So yeah, sorry to rain on the lovey dovey great reviews, but this place gets a totally average from me. Found this Gem while on a visit looking at GCU college with our daughter. The food was top notch and service was awesome!
