The wait times can be a little long but I believe there's an app to add yourself to the waitlist, although we didn't use that feature. The service was great, fast and friendly. We went here for the 4th time yesterday. The previous 3 were less than stellar, but not bad enough to write them off. I mean, we live less than a 1/4 mile from a First Watch. That's awesome! I have visited them in Orlando and we have been to the Frisco location a few times. The Plano location is not the same at all. The experience has been night and day. Pass on this location. I do enjoy First Watches menu.Their Floridian French Toast (fruit and custard dipped grain bread) is fantastic! They found a way to make French Toast almost healthy!! My wife loves their lemon and ricotta cheese pancakes. The eggs Benedict are always delicious. And their rotating menu items make for some cool seasonal options. The fruit is always fresh and the morning fruit drinks are really delicious. Don't miss a chance to eat at a First Watch. Yesterday, we (3) showed up to a 30 minute wait. No big deal, totally normal, until they seated two groups of 3 before us- that had gotten there after us. Kind of annoying, but ok. When we got a table it took a long time to get greeted and a drink order taken. My wife ordered coffee...No regular creamer on the table and efforts to find our waiter again were frustrating. I dont think she was able to take a sip of coffee for another 10 minutes. That was too much. Coffee drinkers arent known for patience, so I would have assumed it would be wise for typical coffee stuff to be available, immediately. We had to ask for our food status at 30 minutes. At 38 minutes (Yea, at this point I'm watching the clock) our food showed up, with no explaination of the delay, nor apology... So far, it appears all this is status quo. I wasn't surprised when all 3 dishes on the table turned out to be ice cold. It just seemed fitting for the whole experience. I dropped a few dollars on the table for the time taken at table and told the host we'd pass on this experience. I'm not an angry diner, we gave then a fair shake and even a little extra, because of their proximity to our home. But we all agreed, we'd go to Frisco for a good First Watch experience. read more

Do not bring me a biscuit that is broken into 3 pieces that you tried to piece back together and didn't even piece it back together right. If the biscuit has broken into pieces then don't serve it! The gravy is not good. As somebody said they are serving "Thanksgiving gravy" with the biscuits. Biscuit really dry too. Ok biscuit rant over. Avacado toast is really really good. Eggs are good. We went to 'First Watch' during MLK, Jan 17, 2021. The waiting time for the food was 45+ minutes, but it was worth the wait as the food was delicious. However, the main surprise was when the check arrived. NONE of the items for "Seat 3" was informed to us as an extra charge. We ended up paying $12.45!!!!! in extra charges on an $11.39 egg meal. This is totally unacceptable to not be informed about it. The waitress did not say the words 'extra charge' even one time while taking the order. He lacks any sort of common sense to handle his job with professionalism. Overview of what happened. After a look of confusion on his face, I said so are you going to text me? He said no, we normally just shout your name or where are you going? First red flag. I asked so to do offer the service or not? He rolled his eyes and took my number. Who rolls their eyes? The host at First Watch does, that was the second red and final red flag. At that point everyone in the lobby heard and witnessed how much of an attention seeker he is so I told him cancel and I will never be back again. And I won't, I was a regular too. Should have been told upon seating. Food: took a while to come out, then all the food came out at different times. My quinoa bowl lacked flavor, presentation, and proper cooking. Extremely disappointed as I have had this dish before and it was delicious. Here, it was bland mush with a horrific excuse for an over easy egg. I've seen my fair share of poorly done over easy egg. Where do I start? This Restaurant had some good choices as far as the juices, Coffee and Teas, but what we ordered was possible the worse breakfast that we have eaten in a long time. We ordered a breakfast sandwich, egg, bacon, Swiss Cheese, Avocado Arugula on a Brioche Bun. We asked that that they fry the egg over hard. When our food arrived, the sandwich was oozing yoke, and the sandwich had an slight odd smell, sort of like a dirty dish rag oder , I didn't pay that much attention to at first, but later on the more I thought about it, became more disturbing to me. The hashed potatoes were scorched burnt, as if they were cooked in a hurry, under cooked scorched bitter tasting , definitely not golden brown. The meal was a total disaster, which I explained to the waiter, which he kindly removed from our bill, nice guy we gave him a generous tip, not his fault! Whoever prepared this meal, DOSEN'T know what they are doing, This dish should have never left the kitchen yet alone brought to the table. Not a great example for first time guests! You need someone to stage everything that goes out of your kitchens, otherwise you are wasting time and money, you might as-well close up shop! I've heard so many great things about this place and I heard it gets pretty busy on the weekends. Thankfully, my friend and I went for lunch (1 PM) on a weekday and found the place pretty empty, so we were able to sit down and get our food pretty fast. The menu offers a variety of breakfast and lunch items as well as Acai bowls and various drinks. For all my fellow vegetarian friends out there, they do have vegetarian options!! I went with the market skillet hash which came with eggs, potatoes, a variety of veggies and mushrooms, fruit and toast. The flavors were really good and I enjoyed the meal a lot- I could do without the ricotta cheese though, the flavor is just too strong and masks the flavors of the food, but if that's what you like, that's okay! The whole meal was around $10 and it actually became two meals for me since the portions are so big. Cute brunch spot with a great menu! I came here for weekday brunch with a friend. The ambience is modern and diner-esque with high tables and booths. We were seated and served quickly. Our server was friendly and prompt. He gave me a mug of hot coffee which was the perfect beginning to my morning. What really impressed me was the menu! I was between a lot of choices but ended up with the Market hash which included goat cheese, mushrooms, and spinach. It was delicious with just the right amount of seasoning. Their eggs were fluffy and fresh. It came with a side of wheat toast, pre buttered and some nice jam. Overall, I'd say their toast was some of the best I've had at a breakfast joint (not burnt or dry at all) and their hash was on par with my expectations. My friend got their lemon ricotta pancakes and a side of chicken sausage patties. The pancakes were fluffy and flavorful and the patties were a savory complement to the sweetness of the pancakes. I'm definitely curious about the rest of their menu and will be back to try more! Miscellaneous Note: the rest of the strip mall doesn't match the aesthetic of this cute shop. Gosh, I've been coming to the Plano location since it opened. The food and service have always been friendly. However, during the past year or two, the food quality has declined, and also the service is sub-par. This morning, the coffee was barely warm and tasteless, very watered down. I asked for another pot, same thing. waitress just shrugged. The music was too loud (acknowledged by the waitress). The bread was not toasted (as it should be, acknowledged by the waitress). The ingredients in my omelet were cold, bacon was chewy and bland, eggs were just above being cold, pancake had three blueberries in it and was thinner and smaller that it usually is. The waitress said she couldn't do anything and just shrugged. When I went to pay, the "manager" asked me how everything was and I told her. She basically shrugged also and said she couldn't do anything. The credit card machine wasn't working, it took four times for it to accept my card. Again, she said, "it's a machine and I can't do anything". So, basically the manager (huge language barrier) and waitress cannot do anything about the poor food quality and even poorer service. Maybe you at Corporate can do something? I've not going back. They basically just wipe tables off, never bothering to clean the booths and flooring. read more

Being here was a case of deja vu, except before it was a crummy, zero service and bad food joint. I walked in and was pleasantly surprised at the complete remodel First Watch brought to the space. The host was super friendly and thoughtfully saved me the hassle of moving a highchair into the space and removing the extra chair so I didn't have to wrestle my 1.5yr old while doing it myself. I've only dined at a First Watch one time previously, and it's been a while, so the menu seemed brand new. There were a lot of options, between indulgence and healthy - which I love. The specialty drinks sounded incredible, but I needed caffeine, so it was iced tea for me. As my hungry eyes searched the menu I couldn't decide! Then my eyes fell upon the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, my weakness. My breakfast buddy and I laughed at the "SoCal burritto" as we are both from SoCal and that is NOT what we SoCal people put in a real burrito, but none-the-less it sounded yummy. My little man was the happy recipient of the Kids french toast (huge slice of french toast, cup of fruit and bacon for under $6), and I stuck to my Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. Our waiter, Dwight, was amazing. He was genuinely happy to do his job and did it with joy and ease. He kept our iced tea full, brought boxes for leftovers and even split our check. Excellent service Dwight! The food arrived quickly and as soon as my pancakes were in front of me deja vu set in again. This is exactly what I ordered the only other time I'd been to First Watch and they weren't great. I guess it's a good thing as I saved myself the calories from inhaling both pancakes, but the fruit on top was good and I enjoyed my son's bacon. I think next time I'll remember to order something different! This chain doesn't seem to be as famous as Snooze, and let's please keep it this way so I don't have to wait insanely long for a good brunch! It's definitely popular, but the staff is pretty efficient about servicing customers and getting them in and out. We had a large party of 8 with kids and did not have to make reservations (which btw you can make reservations via the app but only for parties up to 6) and waited around 20 mins for a seat. Service was great and it's a kid friendly place with a kids menu. Not gonna lie, I was pretty jealous of the kids menu, which ended up being huge portions and had a great selection (chocolate chip pancakes! Fruit crepes!) Another thing I like is that there's a seasonal menu to change things up once in a while. The cinnamon roll waffle I had was phenomenal....it was exactly as described and came with hot syrup. It's small details like the hot syrup that show the quality and care of a restaurant. The only downside is that the chain seems to only open places in suburb locations. First Watch Round 2: Clearly liked it enough the first time to come back. Everything about the restaurant would normally scream "hipster" or "millennial" AND I actually absolutely adore the place. Love the rustic decor, our waiter greeted us as "Hi friends!", the booths are cozy... it's perfect. We ordered this time around: "Rainbow" toast to start $4.99 - this wasn't some food colored toast. It was absolutely delicious thick toast with cheese, berries, mango and honey. PERFECT way to start the meal. Their coffee is FLAWLESS. Kale Tonic and Morning Meditation is also perfect. Great juices to pair with your meal. I ordered the Turkey Sausage Biscuits & Gravy... goodness that was perfectly seasoned and portioned. My boyfriend ordered the Ham & Gruyere Cheese Omelette. He cleaned his plate. We left with a total less than $30 for the two of us. Terrible service, the host was very kind but we were quoted a 20-25 minute wait that turned into a 50+ minute wait. We first waited 30 minutes before asking how much longer they were thinking it would take and then we were told "less than 7 minutes". That then turned into 15 more minutes and at that point we just left. It is absolutely crazy to wait over 45 minutes for a table for 2 when you're quoted 20 minutes. It has been over 50 minutes now and they still haven't even texted saying our table is ready. I have eaten at a first watch before, and the food is decent, but not good enough to deal with stupid mess like this. I don't recommend wasting your time here. read more
