I'm so glad I waited to eat from this place. I am not one for waiting in line, no matter how promising a place may be; Disney and Universal rides included! I recently came in, with Josh greeting me and pointing at the umbrella bucket as I walked, and was more than satisfied with ordering from him directly, as the cafe was about to close. Josh was gracious and both read and recommended items for me. I decided on the chicken salad made with all-natural white-meat, apples, raisins and almost unnoticeable celery (thank goodness) served open-faced; topped with not one, but two tomatoes and melted Monterrey Jack on a grilled thick slice of artisan whole grain bread. My choice of sides was fresh seasoned potatoes. Being that they do not deliver, and my company allots for a short 30-minute lunch break, I was getting nervous and asked if I could take it with me and how soon. He said 15 minutes max., but I was elated that I paid and was out the door in 5! Open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., except for Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, I will be coming back to enjoy the varied menu choices, wonderful ambiance, and decor! read more

We suffered First Watch withdrawal when they closed for months for Covid 19. My partner and 5 year old love this easy breakfast spot. In normal times, they can have long wait for a table, although there is 1 communal table in the front if you don't mind sharing and if you are lucky enough to get a spot. A great tip is to download their app and join the wait list virtually and arrive at the designated estimated time of arrival for your table to be ready. They have numerous healthier breakfast options like avocado toast or sunrise granola bowl and morning meditation fresh juice. We tend to keep ordering the Trifecta with eggs, banana granola pancake and choice of meat. The pancakes are out of this world fluffy and delicious with fresh banana and granola. We also like lemon ricotta pancakes. My partner likes Farmhouse hash of eggs, bacon and avocado on top of seasoned potatoes plus artisan toast. We end up sharing meals with the kids as the portion size is quite big for most dishes. Most meals are around $10 and a little more not including coffee. read more

I am a regular first watch diner for many moons. Sunrise locations used to be my go to until they ruined it for me I never went back since then. Then I began coming to this location even though it's a bit of a drive. The place wasn't not that busy as usual, each staffs have looked into my direction waiting for service. More than 10 mins of waiting not a single server came therefore I left. I was going to give it another 10 mins however I realized, why should I spend another 10 mins of my valuable time when no one cares about customer. Sadly, seems the good serves has left as I didn't see them and haven't lately. This would be my last and will not be giving another chance for this locations or any other first watch locations no matter how I crave for my usual dishes. Will never bring my family or friends at any first watch. Will not wait for a third locations to upset and disappoint me and ruin my day. I would always start my day at first watch. Well, I finally got in to First Watch without a wait. Of course this popular breakfast spot ALWAYS has a wait, at least at a couple locations I've been to, the Plantation store, being one of them. My wife and I luckily got an early start and figured we would have a chance to get in and seated right away and we did. First Watch is not a small place and fills up pretty fast. It is so clean and open and everyone here was quite inviting and friendly, especially our server. She knows the menu and what everyone seems to like here as there are so many choices we needed to ask her about. Being a Farm to Table Restaurant, the first area on the menu I noticed was a large section of what they call "The Healthier Side" and everyone knows that Eggs are healthy, and can be done in different ways, served with other different healthy choices. I took one look at the Avocado Toast and knew that this was a must for me, wondering how good this would be. Served on Whole Grain Toast, there was a mound of FRESH, chunky Avocado, and for any Avocado lover, this is a real treat. Served with 2 Cage Free Eggs, over medium, it was the perfect healthy breakfast. Normally they serve the Eggs Basted, but they changed it up for me. We also had a Multi Grain Blueberry pancake to split. Nice knowing I could have a healthy pancake, and not too filling. It was one large portion as well. Fresh as can be. We asked our waitress what the most popular item on the menu was and she told us: The Traditional Breakfast, which has two fresh cage free eggs with a choice of meat, whole grain artisan toast, natural house preserves with fresh potatoes. If you want to substitute the toast with Udi's Gluten Free toast it is a choice. The kicker is that this is a healthy breakfast to start the day off with 720-1000 calories of good, fresh Farm to Table choices. For some, this may be a lot of calories, but breakfast should be the biggest and healthiest meal of the day if one looks at it that way. There is also a SPECIAL MENU, that they change up every couple of weeks. That keeps it interesting, and some really good choices. What I love that First Watch does, is when we ordered coffee, they put the pot on the table for refills instead of waiting for the server to have to come over all the time to fill our cups. A nice touch when the clientele walks in, especially during a wait, they can help themselves to coffee and water right at the door and not have to at least wait for that. Besides making breakfast healthy at home, First Watch is the only place I have been where I feel like they serve a hearty breakfast and I walk out feeling good and that I ate good with choices I love. Nothing better than a nice portion of fresh, chunky Avocado on Whole Grain toast and 2 eggs. Most of all, it is clean and friendly. One of the smaller locations I have been to. It had free coffee at the front while you wait for your table. This layout is basically one large big room so it's very noisy. The server was friendly but talked very fast. We ordered omelette, waffles, salads, and other items amongst the four of us. The problem was that it took 45 minutes to get our food after we ordered. That's too long. We actually had to ask our server what the delay was, and she said the kitchen was running behind. When we did get our plates, they were hot and delicious. I ordered the Bacado that was an omelette with bacon and avocado and cheese in it. On top was sour cream and salsa. It was out of this world. It came with fresh mixed greens too. It was a good overall experience, but the delay in getting the food was very irritating. read more

Pro tip: download the app and get yourself on the waitlist. We went on Saturday, but it was a 40 minute wait when we checked in on the app. That was okay because we had to commute there. I like the app concept, it really cuts down on the wait time. Once we got there, (5 minutes earlier than the suggested arrive time) we waited another 15 minutes. The place was nice and new and obviously packed. They had chairs and a coffee/water station for people who were waiting for tables. Once we got to our table, I ordered a coffee which was delicious. I also ordered the multigrain pancake, eggs, and turkey sausage. The food came out a little slow, but I understood that the place was busy. However, the food was really flavorful. My husband ordered a cold brew, it was not good, it was ice with a splash of coffee. He liked his food though but don't order the cold brew! It took a while for the waitress to come back and ask how everything was. We wanted to ask for a hot cup for the coffee, waters, and extra napkins. My friends and I decided to get one of the specials, the green tea latte pancakes. Matcha lover, or not, these pancakes were the best pancakes ever! Drizzled with vanilla Greek yogurt and topped with granola and blueberries. For my actual brunch, I got the half and half deal with the veggie sandwich and tomato soup. A very basic combo was made exceptionally well. My sandwich had a generous amount of veggies on their special multigrain bread with melted cheese. I also got the kale tonic drink. Normally I would not review a restaurant before it officially opened but this new First Watch in the Lucky Plaza in Plantation seems ready to go! It was friends and family day. Truth be known, we were neither friends nor family. My son and I did not know it was a soft opening and were turned away at the door. Luckily on the way to our car we met some acquaintances who gave us their invitation. Score! The place is a combination of modern rustic zen. Definitely a step up from the average diner! Complimentary coffee and water are provided at the entry while you wait. We were seated immediately. The place was not full for this special opening. I did not even realize until I paid the check that the food was on the house but they were asking for donations to a charity, No Kid Hungry. Great idea....food for a worthy cause. The management and trainers were out in full force but our server did a fantastic job! The food was absolutely wonderful. First Watch has all the usual breakfast:brunch items but with some that are off the beaten path thrown in. 13 year old and I shared an order of Millionaire Bacon which was so sweet and yummy. He ordered the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. The pancakes were light and fluffy and enhanced with creamy lemon curd in the middle. I went with the Sweet Honey Pecan Salad: Mixed greens, chicken, bacon, toasted pecans, cheese, & tomatoes. Instead of the Honey Dijon dressing it comes with, I ordered some Citrus Chipotle dressing on the side and it was light and tasty. Not the healthiest salad, but it was hearty and delicious. I was anxiously awaiting this locations opening since it was halfway between work and home. Once I realized it was open and everyone in my house had the morning off we decided to stop in for breakfast. Staff was very friendly from the very second we entered the restaurant. We were greeted promptly at the door and seated right away. The restaurant is decorated very well with exposed ceilings and wood on the walls. Very farm friendly and cute. Our waitress approached us almost instantly and took our drink order and asked if we had any questions about the specials or their fresh juices. I ended up getting the SoCal Breakfast Burrito which has egg whites, Springer Mountain Farms all-natural grilled chicken breast, quinoa, black beans, kale, house-roasted onions, Feta, Cheddar, Monterey Jack, fresh smashed avocado and pico de gallo in a hearty-grain tortilla. Served with a side of warm salsa verde and fresh fruit. It was served more as a wrap than a burrito but was very tasty, especially once you add the salsa verde. The fruit was a mix of raspberries, grapes, strawberries and melon which is a nice change from the melons and grapes I usually see as a side. My daughter ordered the Biscuits with Turkey Sausage Gravy and Eggs which consist of freshly baked, housemade biscuits with savory turkey sausage gravy. Served with two fresh cage-free eggs and seasoned potatoes. The gravy wasn't like your usual white sausage gravy. It is a darker, richer gravy but still really good and the biscuits were delicious. You can tell they're homemade. Her boyfriend ordered the Chickichanga which is whipped eggs with spicy all-natural white-meat chicken, chorizo sausage, green chilies, Cheddar and Monterey Jack, onions and avocado rolled in a flour tortilla. Topped with Vera Cruz sauce and sour cream. Served with fruit and seasoned potatoes. I think I liked his most of all. The chorizo along with the Vera Cruz sauce adds a nice kick to it. Everything was delicious and served quickly. The wait staff was top notch. We had several different people ask us if we needed anything. They cater to all the vegan, the healthy, the meat lovers, the traditional breakfast types the avant-garde enthusiasts. It's a great places for people from all walks of life. Plantation has an amazing staff and are very quick. Which is why the line might always be out the door BUT you don't have to fret you won't wait more than 15 minutes for a table. The location isnt the best due to the plantation congestion but either way I recommend coming any day of the week. My "go to" move is parking at luckys, getting breakfast here and going grocery shopping with a draft beer in hand. You can't beat it! If you love bacon look no further than the million dollar bacon . It's heaven sent. If you like avocado the Avo toast is legendary. They stole my heart at the front door with complimentary coffee while you wait. My step son and I went there after an intense morning at the doctors and we sat down and our waitress was the most friendliest, energetic, professional waitress we have ever met. I go to First Watch in Coral Springs by my house but this First Watch may be my favorite. I watched the whole staff who were really being team players. But our waitress truly stood out.
