This place has good food and servers , but here's my only gripe. I'm only a few bites into my meal and the server brings my Receipt with the " take your time but hurry up" speech. It's for you convenience. No rush , blah blah bullsh* t you killed my experience. Your place isn't cheap and that's a horrible policy. I've been there several times and it finally got to me. The place was damn near empty. What is the return on investment of that policy. Quantify the difference please and let us know. Will there be some old folks that will buy a coffee and be there all day? This isn't a McDonald's coffee. This feels like some corporate duche bag smart stupid idea. Let's rush to the red light. I LOVE the style and food. Not a fan of the two people I had to deal with. Our waitress and cashier seemed SO bothered by our presence. Like we were inconveniencing them. We thought it was just our waitress but the cashier acted the same way. We asked for extra butter and jam and by the time we received it we were done eating. I will definitely try going again. Came here with high hopes disappointed immediately with poor customer service, (though there was an attempt by the hostess to redeem, and actually admitted it was her fault, as she forgot to tell our server) was ignored for quite some time on the patio. Coffee was good and strong, yet not exactly piping hot in the carafe. Ordered an omelette eggs over cooked, not much to the taste (browned eggs chap my hide) fresh greens side with supposed fresh lemon dressing weak and tasteless, and the greens lifeless wilted and just old, the whole staff including chef need to go to food handlers class as this is the kind of stuff that causes food poisoning, should have never left the kitchen or served. Pancakes were decent, as well as the lemon curd however charging premium prices and then adding on a charge for real maple syrup?! Mind you it was quite a blustery day but the patio was Filthy watched server after server coming in and out without attempting to pick up any of the trash just floating around, hard to find good help these days I guess, Poor excuse). Claim to be farm fresh this place is pseudo- at best, just another mediocre attempt at real craft and farm to table freshness. US foods, in your artificially flavored creamers really, at least try and hide it that gives way to the rest of the quality of ingredients,.if you're willing to really dig. I was here at lunch so I did a " Pick 2" of the ham & cheese melt and the avocado chopped chicken salad. Both were delicious! The coffee is never-ending, and very good. I will definitely be back. First Watch is always a solid choice. The food is typically very good, and the waiters and waitresses are attentive even when busy. This was my experience today. I was greeted by a smiling woman who made me feel welcome and, by dumb luck, was able to seat me immediately in the midst of the busy restaurant. My only Point deduction is for the breakfast tacos which were very tasty, let me say. However, they were so far from authentic that I was disappointed. The chef could have used a squeeze of lime, some torn cilantro, or some red chillies to add a bite of flavor. A taco should have some spice to it. It's actually part of the food science of what makes a great taco. The first bite should have some heat so that it gets your saliva glands going, and then it makes you want more. Outside of that observation, it was a Flawless visit to a great place. The hostess even thanked me for being friendly on the way out the door. read more

Unidentifiable objects floating in water. I was with 2 others and their food came out about 10 minutes before mine. I had the eggs Benedict (eggs were hard boiled) and potatoes were raw. The food was absolutely amazing. I love French toast but I have always had a hard time finding a restaurant that makes it just the way I like it. The French toast here was by far the best I have ever had. The biscuits and gravy were to die for, and I love that the sauce was made with turkey sausage instead of regular sausage. The juice bar was also awesome, and our waitress recommended the watermelon drink which was so delicious! Our waitress Brooklyn was an absolutely delight! She was super friendly and provided the best service we have received in a long time. We will definitely be revisiting this place when we come back to Daytona! read more

We have enjoyed many delicious meals from other First Watch locations and decided to make Easter special with their delicious food. Unfortunately, our order was ruined by burnt potatoes. It smelled awful and tasted like if you licked the grill cleaning tool. There was so much soot and ash at the bottom it looked like someone used the tray to clean their fireplace. It was disgusting. I didn't want to call with negative feedback on Easter, and this location closed the next day. I'll update my review if this location contacts me, and/or we're able to give them a second chance. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE! I've never felt the need to write a review until today. Giving a generous two stars because our food was made quickly and tasted great. Our server was downright rude. We never got refills on our teas and we were never brought silverware. I can understand if it was busy, it was not. The only positive interaction we had was with a blonde haired gentleman when paying. My bill says Peggy. I'm more interested in getting that young man a raise, he's the only reason my mother left smiling. read more

My wife and I love eggs benedict however do not order this item there. The ham was extremely salty and the hollandaise sauce tasted more like lemon curd and I would say that it was almost inedible. First Watch in Port Orange has only been open for about a month, and I went in this morning for the first time to try it out. There were maybe 8 to 10 people already seated when I arrived around 8 am. The staff was friendly and polite, and I never felt rushed or ignored. I got seated quickly and ordered the cinnamon chip pancake breakfast off the seasonal menu with a side of potatoes. My food arrived not more than 10 minutes later, and everything was very good. My 2 scrambled eggs looked kind of lonely on the side of the plate next to the huge and delicious cinnamon chip pancake. The pork sausage was very good also, but I wish I got more than 1 link. The huge portion of perfectly seasoned potatoes (home fries) made up for it, and I was not able to finish them all. My first impression of First Watch is that they seem to pull off the little details that separate a great breakfast from just a good breakfast. In this case, those little details start with the edges of the pancakes being crispy (as they should be), the syrup is served warm, and the OJ (tasted like fresh squeezed) is not from concentrate! For my next visit, I'm keen on trying the Millionaire's Bacon, but for $4.99 I won't be having it too often. And that brings me to the only caveat - If you want perks like fresh ingredients, homemade pancake batter and cage-free eggs you have to be willing to pay a premium. My breakfast, with an extra side and glass of OJ came to $16.80. If you want cheap, go to Denny's. If you want quality food and those little details, First Watch should be at the top of your list. read more

Usually I eat breakfast at home but this Friday morning my boyfriend and I decided to go to First Watch in Port Orange. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside. Our waitress Samantha greeted us with a welcoming smile. My boyfriend and I both have worked in the restaurant industry, so when we notice above and beyond great service we appreciate it! She was the best we have had in awhile in this area. She was very helpful with the menu and just all around pleasant to have. She sparked up good conversation every time she came to check on our satisfaction with the food and Iced coffee(which was amazing!) The food was not only delicious but the presentation was picture worthy. Next time we come we will be asking for Samantha! read more
